Great selection

We loved our stay. Great rooms, great view of the bay,
Valerie
This property is in a great location right on the bay. We stayed for four days. You can hear other guests talking in the room next door and the hallways so not great sound insulation. Our room was very clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast food was average. The lady working in the breakfast area was super friendly and helpful. We had terrible wifi in our room. There were one or two spots in the room where it worked well. The balcony had no connectivity. This was a pain more than anything, but if you were trying to combine work and a vacation it could be a real problem. I admit I am a clean freak, but I noticed little things around the inside of the hotel that could be improved- stairwells needed vacuuming, trash here and there. No hand sanitizer in the dispenser near the front door the whole time we were there. Overall, we liked it well enough that we may stay here again in the future.
Susan
This hotel is located right on the water with a small beach, chairs and firepit and pools and jacuzzis. Our room was comfortable and quiet and spacious. It was a holiday weekend and the outdoor areas were very crowded so we did not use any of the amenities and we left before breakfast was served.
Patricia
Very mediocre
William
Room next door , the people were loud. Screaming kids.

I really love this property. It was extremely family-friendly. I would stay here again if I was ever in the Traverse City area. My kids loved the lakefront rooms and easy access to the water!
Susan
The lady in charge of the breakfast was excellent.
Natalie
Look out for destination fee charges they charge you every day $25 to use the pool, parking lot and their crummy breakfast which on the website, it says it’s complementary and then they blamed it on Expedia. The outdoor pool and hot tub was dirty all the time and they had a broken screen door when we got there, The maid didn’t come and clean our room when I text her the night before like they told us too. The view was the only thing good and bed was comfortable.
Renee
The staff were wonderful!!
The room had an animal smell. But it was a great place other than that.

The perfect weekend getaway. This hotel had beautiful views, rooms that walk right out onto the beach, indoor and hot door pool. The breakfast was delicious that was included each day. Highly recommend!
Brandon
Highly recommend!

You get charged a resort fee every day of your stay and the place ISN'T a resort. The pictures fool you, the beach property is extremely small and the indoor pool is trash. Room wasnt clean and the excuse was \"we dont have a regular cleaning staff\". I will not be booking at the cherry Tree Trash again.
Megan
Lady at the counter seemed annoyed to be there. Overwhelmed maybe. The drains in the bathroom didn’t drain well at all. The breakfast area was small and packed. There was only one waffle maker and there were 8 people waiting. The beach was dirty. The jets in the outdoor hot tub were spraying out of the tub. You definitely don’t want a room facing the road. Traffic is way too loud at night. Probably wouldn’t stay there again.
Roshanak
Great place especially if you have kids! Breakfast could have a bit more variation for those staying longer but it was good nonetheless. Staff were super friendly and attentive.

The fitted bed sheets did not fit the bed, and with the mattress cover being slippery, the sheets kept coming loose
Robbin
Check in staff was polite and helpful. Nice, clean room with balcony overlooking the bay. My reason for only 4 stars is that the heating/air conditioning unit was quite noisy and loud and the carpet needs a deep clean or replaced. This is the second time we have stayed at Cherry Hill Inn and would definitely stay there in the future if in Traverse City.
Donna
Our room was just ok. We were in a Jacuzzi suite. It was difficult to enter and exit the enclosed area where it was located. The shower was the worst, with black mold on the tiles on the floor, and the walls were not cleaned. Then had white soap scum streaks on the wall appearing to have not been cleaned for quite a while. The sheets didn’t fit the king bed and slipped off the corners and bunched up on top. We had no clock in the bedroom. Halls and common areas, except for the breakfast room, were also not cleaned regularly. Same dirty floors in the elevator over our 3 days stay. Our suite appeared to be freshly painted, but furniture was old, couch had a cigarette burn on the arm. Outdoor pools were not cleaned during the 3 days we were there. On a better note, the breakfast was very good and fresh. The staff attended to refills and kept the room looking neat and clean. They were excellent!!! Front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful. We won’t return and we were not impressed for the price we paid!!
Bruce
Very clean, great staff. Breakfast was always hot and a good selection. Comfortable beds. Enjoyed our stay.
Devin
Enjoyed my stay, not much to complain about.
Susan
Everything was great! Clean room, great indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs, and chocolate covered cherry coffee is amazing!
Mark
Very nice
William
We would highly recommend staying here to everyone. It was our first but will not be our last. Definitely recommend a room with the water view, it beautiful. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Mandy
Zero complaints! We will stay here again and take advantage of more of the amenities. Wonderful stay and worth the price!
Savio
Outdoor pool was close no ahead informant and very dirty my wife is pregnant I couldn’t stay there.
Vaughan
Simple room and Facilities but had breakfast and used the pool and hot tub every day.
Staff were great. Lady who does breakfast was very friendly and engaging on accomodating our needs.
Will stay again if we get the opportunity

Online it states that the shuttle is from 9 to 6, when I asked to be picked up at the airport around noon they were reluctant and when I went to check in I was informed that the shuttle goes after 4 pm.
The outdoor hot tub was not working either. This was the main reason I chose to stay here. I would have saved $100 and stayed next door if I had known that.
There were spiderwebs all on the balcony and railings and looked like they hadn't been wiped down since last year.
Overall I was disappointed.

Family of four had an amazing experience! Indoor pool was an ice bath but kids still had a blast. Both hottubs were hot and clean. Get a bay view room, great feeling waking up to the water. Sunji was so nice and helpful, I would come back just based on her service.
Jaylend
My favorite having a fire off the beach with the sunset!
Mari
Room and Hotel were nice. We liked having the option of a shuttle so we could park car and let someone else drive. Only downfall was the $25 a day destination fee. Seems like this should be included in hotel cost NOT something that is added at checkout.
Angela
We love how big the rooms are with amazing views of the bay. The beach area is well-maintained and the free breakfast is appreciated although there could be a better assortment of foods. Great hotel for families, located close to many things to do for kids in the area. The outdoor pool was being serviced while we were there so was no water in it or the hot tub which was disappointing. This is our 2nd time staying here and we would go back, the kids love it there.
Laurie
The staff were friendly & helpful especially Lauren at breakfast. Nice room and great views.
Donald
Overall, not a bad place to stay. Building could use major upgrades but location on the beach is great.
Douglas
Nice location on the lake and the staff was very nice and friendly
Danielle
Really nice hotel. We had a room overlooking the bay and it was so beautiful. The breakfast was very good and coffee was, tea and water available all hours.
Rachel
the wifi is buns but ivy is so good oh mommy ivyy
Thomas
Good location. Balcony with a good view of the west bay. Breakfast was eggs/sausage, waffles, bagels. Toast, yogurt, cereal, sweet rolls.
Lori
The check in person was pretty rude. I was not happy with the room, it was definitely misrepresented in the pictures. Also not happy that there is a resort fee that was hidden in the charges. That fee is ridiculous as it is not a

Outstanding location!!

The facility was dirty. The gym was filthy with crumbs all over the floor and piles of dirty towels.
Rudina
It was a very nice stay. The Bay view is beautiful. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Seth
Breakfast was continental style, and the room was cute and cozy. The beach front was relaxing and beautiful, and the staff was very friendly, and always willing to answer questions or help us out.
brian
Property overall was good...great bay views, decent breakfast...nice pool/hot tub area...close to everything from shopping to dining...only miss was the bed/bedding. It's time for an upgrade on that ... pillows were awful bes was extra form and bedding was in need of a refresh
Lisa
Beautiful rooms!
Cheryl
Breakfast & hot tubs excellent. The room bed frames both squeaked, the shower drain was very clogged, there was no cord on the night stand clock. Other than those items, the room was very nice. I do wish the advertised fire pits had been lit, or at least had wood stacked by them. I just think for the price & all the rules they gave us, these little problems shouldn’t have occurred. The staff was very nice.
christine
Breakfast was fresh and good, staff in the kitchen was awesome very friendly and helpful. Was a very nice hotel to stay at. Would highly recommend.
John
The room and hotel were extremely clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. We loved our room and the hot tub in the room was great. I'd go back again and again.
Timothy
Desk not overly friendly. We were un tbe building next to the main hotel. Heat was not gokd. No cups or utensils in tbe room. Did not like rhe bare floors.
Christine
The staff was amazing and found the place was beautiful. Loved the room.
Bobby
Very clean and updated. Loved the selections at breakfast, particularly the fresh fruit. The little \"market\" was great for snacks.
Kelley
Reasonable rate. Comfy beds!
Renee
Rooms were great - nice size. Some were recently repainted it seemed. Hotel was spacious with a good indoor pool and hot tub. Breakfast staff was friendly but the breakfast could have had a little more variety. All in all a great stay.
Vickie
Wonderful place to stay.
Lisa
Amazing stay! Beautiful rooms and excellent staff
Debora
Great rooms and my group chose here for park and fly services.
Erin

Kristin
Beautiful stay! The room was clean and the pool was a great time! Loved how friendly the staff was!
Kristine
It was a spacious room, staff was awesome no complaints.
Carol
We stayed here the end of February and had the most relaxing time. The room was very clean and the bed was so comfortable. The breakfast was phenomenal, it had fresh fruit along with a full breakfast of anything you can imagine. Will definitely be staying here again.
Sandy
Laura, the lady that takes care of the breakfast was very friendly and made everyone feel welcome. . Outside hot tub jets did not work. Inside hot tub had overflowed into the pool on Wednesday night and was too hot to get into it. That had it fixed later Thursday nite. I also was told by a person at the front that when you don’t book with the hotel direct you don’t get as nice of a room. The hotel did offer us a nicer room for a extra fee. There were a lot of vacant rooms the 3 days we were there.
Kerri
Staff was very courteous, helpful especially Laura during breakfast! Thank you guys
Cailey
Clean room, very nice and attentive staff
Dawn
Absolutely loved the room! Staff was quick to get what we needed when asked!
Candice
Room was very clean, wonderful staff friendly and helpful, i love the outdoor hot tub, great option. Breakfast was terrific.
Maureen
Clean room, pleasant staff, delicious breakfast, and our suite was spacious with a beautiful view of the bay. Even in the off season, the views are great!
Steven
Called Cherry Tree Inn the day before, and requested an early check in 2pm. When we got to the Cherry Tree Inn on day the receptionist was not even aware of the early check in request. They said that there was no guarantee before 4pm. And clearly the request from night before was ignored. Had to wait in car for over hour to get into room. Toilet plugged and took hour for hotel to find plunger. Not good experience overall.
Mike
Clean with great amenities and a very nice staff. Nice quiet stay with no disturbances
Jason
Great Place. We will come back !

Room was clean and spacious. Love the view of the bay from the balcony. Staff was wonderful.
Elizabeth
Clean and beautiful rooms! All staff were friendly and helpful! Pool area was clean and warm. Breakfast was good - disappointed we were charged extra for it. Overall will stay here again.
Brandi
Plenty of space and nice view
Ronald
Our room was spotless, well arranged and had a comfort of home feel. Walk in shower was nice, but the open design (without door) leaves you chilled after showering. Otherwise excellent and I would come back.
Tamera
The staff was very nice, particularly Laura in the breakfast area who was extremely personable, insuring that we enjoyed are breakfast.
Sean
If i could give this hotel 2.5 stars i would have. Pros:Our room was nice, clean, and spacious. The hotel has a good location.
Cons: below average amenities. Pool is small. They advertise a game room, very lame. They advertise the \"best breakfast\" it was below average for any hotel

The location is absolutely amazing, with a stunning lake view right in front of you. Even if there were any minor issues with the stay, the kindness and friendliness of the staff made all complaints fade away. Breakfast was a bit disappointing since the menu was the same two days in a row. However, the unlimited cookies and coffee were a real highlight and truly wonderful. Thanks to that, we’re leaving with sweet memories. We’re already looking forward to coming back in the summer!
Dawn
Room was great and amazing!

we had an amazing beach view with a fireplace. breakfast was delicious. My only ask is for freshly made oatmeal as the instant is not as good. We were off season so that may be why. Otherwise the entire experience was just the best and the team was attentive and outstanding!
Jenny
Room was clean. We wanted a basic room and got lucky to have a balcony looking over the bay. We only stayed one night so I don't have much to say. Breakfast hours were very short so unfortunately we missed breakfast. The room was very hot and we ended up turning the air on in the middle of January just to be comfortable. The indoor pool and hot tub was nice. Very quite hotel.
Amy
The room was neat and clean. Breakfast was great! We will definitely be staying again.

The inn is right on the beach. We had corner room which was nice. Clean and comfortable stay.
Stephanie
The room was clean and very cozy!

Property is outdated. Strong smell of chlorine on the hallways
Brian
The windows didn’t open. The blinds didn’t work. Staff plays music at 7 AM and it doesn’t end until 7 PM.
Cheyanne
Jet tub was dirty, and fridge did not work ruined the food we brought
Laura
We stayed in the Walloon Suite and unfortunately our room was not in great condition. Several lights didn’t work at all. Know that several of the rooms do NOT have a window in them.
The staff was great, friendly and accommodating but they were booked so we couldn’t switch rooms. I spend a lot of time in Traverse throughout year and keep a list of places I have stayed for future reference. Unfortunately Cherry Tree will no longer be an option. While it’s great to have a friendly staff, it’s just a very run down place now.

Had a lovely time, would stay here again. Complimentary coffee, tea, hot chocolate 24/7. Hot breakfast every morning. Nice large pool with a roomy hot tub. Even a little arcade room with some pinball machines. I felt like the room itself felt larger than other hotels I have stayed in. We came in late November, so didnt use the beach amenities, but a lovely stay to rest for a few days.
