My wife and I are both allergic to feathers, we advised reception of the allergy. We were given inappropriate pillows that were not for for sleeping (too large - appeared like upholstery cushions). The alternative they provided was a pillow case filed with towels. This is unacceptable for a supposedly 4 star hotel. We emailed the management, ad our email was completely ignored! We had to spend a money to buy pillows for our own. Dreadful service

We stayed two nights, Saturday and Sunday, 6 & 7 December. We took a taxi from the airport, but as we approached the hotel numerous roads were closed for the Christmas markets and after several detours we eventually had to get out and walk about 200m to reach the hotel. Not the hotel’s fault, but they could have easily warned us.
We were given Room 144 on the first floor overlooking Andreastrasse, left our bags and went and explored the city. When we returned to the room there was a lot of street noise, but we assumed it would quieten down and went to bed. We were woken at around midnight by the thump of dance music, tried calling reception and received no answer so had to go down to complain. The receptionist acknowledged that noise was a problem at the weekend and offered us another room. So we packed up our disco room and moved to Room 149 which overlooked the courtyard and was much quieter. The hotel clearly knows noise is a problem and should have warned us of this at checkin.
Otherwise it was a pleasant stay, the common areas are amazing, filled with all sorts of art, sculptures and antiques. Breakfast isn’t extensive but is high quality as it should be for the price. We didn’t use any of the other facilities. Location is great for the Christmas markets, shopping, dining and bars (which explains the noise) and access to the Rhine and U-bahn.

My wife and I stayed for two nights at the Medici Hotel in September 2025 (Executive double apartment). We absolutely loved the apt and the hotel. The suite was spacious, very modern and had a huge full bathroom, plus a guest toilet. The hotel itself is incredibly beautiful and luxurious, and all the hotel personnel were very professional, friendly and helpful. The hotel is also perfectly located in the old city. This is the only place we will stay from now on when we visit Dusseldorf.

If you stay on a Friday or Saturday, be prepared to listen to club music until three or four in the morning. The area surrounding the hotel is a massive party zone, which is a lot of fun unless you need to sleep at night.

I found this hotel to be a great place to stay when visiting Düsseldorf. It was conveniently located near the train station and the old town (Alstadt). The hotel's aesthetics, where modern flair meets medieval Rome decor & design were nice and the atmosphere, was inviting. The staff was friendly and very helpful. My room, although small given that it was a single occupancy, was nice and clean with all the needed amenities. All the old town attractions, shops, and restaurants, are conveniently located within walking distance. Check them out.

I’d return in an instant! What a special, unique hotel! I loved staying in a 16th-century building in a great neighborhood, conveniently close to the Rhine and art museums and a quick and easy subway ride to the central train station. The staff members at the front desk were all kind and welcoming, and the breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious and served in a beautiful room. Hotel in good location just off of the old town & the river ... very walkable area. Hotel itself is only 20min taxi from airport, nice grounds, smart professional staff, old style building with lots to see like visiting a stately home, nice size room, bed comfy, good shower. Breakfast had good options presented well. Short walk to underground, kings walk for some higher end shopping. Depending on your needs there are cheaper places to stay, but thought treat myself & i am glad i did & would defo want to stay here each time i visit Dusseldorf.

This is an elegant historic hotel, built around a central courtyard in the heart of the city. It was quiet and the room was lovely. The front desk staff was very helpful with suggestions about exploring the city. I wish I could have stayed longer.

Very noisy on Friday and Saturday nights
The hotel is lovely and everything about it is great. However, we were given a room above the \"strip\" and it was like being in a club! It was so noisy with the bars and clubs immediately outside. I would not stay in this hotel on a Friday or Saturday night!! They also charged us city tax for our newborn (which we didn't realise until after we had paid) and didn't really do anything to compensate us for the noisy room. Incidentally, when I complained they knew very well that the room they had given us was a noisy one - why on earth would you assign a noisy room to a family with a newborn? Really stupid decision which led to absolutely no sleep on the noisy nights. Would not stay again. They need to add additional glazing to their rooms and properly soundproof them from the external noise. There has clearly been no expense spared on other elements of the hotel, so why not sound proofing.

One of the best hotel stays I’ve ever had! The location is fantastic—right in a busy area but incredibly quiet inside. The breakfast is world-class, with every detail thoughtfully considered. The blackout shades were perfect for overcoming jet lag. They went above and beyond by providing a baby crib, a baby bathtub for the shower, and even a diaper genie for our one-year-old. The staff was absolutely amazing and attentive. We had such a wonderful experience and will definitely be coming back!
