I wouldn’t stay here again. While there were thankfully no visible bugs in my room, the overall cleanliness was very poor. The sheets and pillowcases seemed clean, but the pillows, mattress, and comforters themselves were stained and unpleasant. The room also had a strong chemical smell that felt like it was trying to mask smoke. The bathroom, walls, and even the outlets were dirty and clearly not well maintained. To make matters worse, I overheard another guest at check-in loudly complaining about bugs, which didn’t inspire confidence. Overall, the experience felt unhygienic and uncomfortable. I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

DO NOT STAY HERE. I am from St. Louis & my roomate & I took our daughters to the Morgan Wallen concert. At the last min, the hotel I had booked fell through & they were fully booked-as were many others. I was left w/ slim pickins, however, remember saying to myself, it'll be fine. How bad could a room possibly be overweight? Is it sleeping there and coming home the next day boy did I eat my words? I have multiple pictures taken. The man on-site will no longer speak with me, my daughter is 15 and even sorry.

The staff will try to scam you if possible. Came down for the Indy 500 and had a reservation I had booked months ago. When I tried to check in, the man running the front desk told me they had cancelled my reservation because the rate for rooms had gone up since I had booked it, and that now they were all sold out. I had received no communication about this, and had not been refunded. He was also unable to provide me with any documented proof of this cancellation. A man behind us in line told us that when he had come to check in, the worker had told him that he needed to pay an extra $100 to get his room. Thankfully, I had booked with Expedia and they were able to find me a new hotel room for no extra charge. I recommend that anyone looking into booking this motel just bites the extra cost and stays somewhere nicer that will not scam you.

It is not as bad as as most reviews.

For all the bad reviews this place is what it is. A quick jump of to get to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. One would never stay here but for that fact. I found it clean. That is all I ask. I saw no cocked up truckers, needles, blood or bugs. I got hat I expected. I liked Johnny B. Long live Johnny B.

I slept with one eye open - I was not comfortable with the facility at all. Filthy carpets, duct taped door seal, broken night latch, smoky thick overpowerng odor. Pubic hair on the ledge of the tub. Used a sleeping bag and slept on top of the bed I wouldn’t dare get in it.

The manager was rude, the TV had a bad picture,the bed sunken and uncomfortable, the bathroom door can't close because they in stalled too big of a toilet, the chair surface had most of the fake leather surface gone,the furniture looked like they kept wolverines before, and behind the nightstand where you would plug in anything was gross.

This hotel is doable for a night… do not expect much
It’s extremely old and run down
They do charge u 20.00 per person for more than 2 guests it’s not a secret and it’s stated all over the office
The only cool thing about this place is the nascar memorabilia in the office but the office guy is a tad smelly and talks to much to really be able to to look around
Also there are 2 dogs on the property one is small and free to roam the other is large and chained up by the door they are not aggressive just wasn’t expecting it
Room is clean is basic but very very old

I can not stress this enough... DO NOT stay here! It's disgusting. As I arrived, a couple asked me if I'd seen my room yet, I said no, and they told me they were headed to the store to buy Clorox wipes so they could wipe the entire room down. I saw them the next day, and the wife had purchased new sheets for the bed. It's HORRIBLE! The manager has dogs that roam the place, and there's pee stains all over the carpet, and not just in my room. Don't let bare feet touch the floor!

A really nice hotel

I was there for the Indy 500. The hotel is about 2.5 miles away or so to the track. There's a target across the street. The owner was really a fun guy to talk to very friendly! He was very accommodating and was right there for any need and very knowledgeable of the area. The room was nice, I had a queen bed with a couch and a coffee table also had a microwave, coffee maker, and a refrigerator. The bathroom was nice and clean. It was really quiet and the bed was pretty comfy. I will stay there again for the race.

I honestly dislike giving a bad review. I think they are trying and that goes a long way but you can't have a hotel if you can't close your door and lock it when you leave. We walked to our room finding the door slightly open, apparently that is very typical and saw many rooms like that. If you leave you can not close your door behind you and can only close from the inside. I hope this hotel can address this problem

I booked my hotel on Hotels.com and when I went to go check in and show the clerk I had already paid. He told me he still had to take my card for his paper records. He wrote down my information. I now have a charge from Hotels.com and from Indy Speedway Inn that is currently pending. I am going to need to figure out how to dispute this charge if both of these go through.

The stay was ok. But, the ad with hotel . Com said continental breakfast,(no didn’t happen, no continental breakfast, hod a coffee pot in the room (great no filters). The room were out date but clean the first day after that house keeper picked up the used bath towels but didn’t leave any to replace them. Other than that it was ok.

The motel was clean and decently sized, but I got charged $20 extra for having my 9 and 4 year old kids stay, despite putting them in while searching for a room.
The rooms at the Indy Speedway lnn are $120 a night, but since I used Hotels.com, I ended up paying $177 which was a \"deal\" with dozens of extra fees added, plus that extra $20. I didn't know Ticketmaster rented motel rooms.
The Indy Speedway Inn wasn't bad at all, but Hotels.com ripped me off and I will not be using it again in the future.

Stay far, far away from this nightmare.

This dump should have been condemned and torn down 30 years ago. I have no words to describe the smell in the room. I ran a travelling construction crew in the 80s and 90s and THOUGHT that I had endured the worst motels. WRONG! Could not stand up in the room with the toilet and shower due to an elevated floor because they were too lazy to repair the plumbing correctly. Sheds and old travel trailers took up parking on the rear. Dogs on chains guarded the office door. Check in was a nightmare because the guy they had there was right out of Mad Max and was difficult to deal with. Two persons in the room (as reserved) but he refused to give us a second access card. Paid a premium price (due to the FCP National Championship Game that weekend) but this place is not worth $25 a night.

They Scammed Me

After reading several reviews of this hotel stating that they had bed bugs, I contacted them and tried to cancel my reservation. They refused to give me a refund, so I lost a couple hundred bucks and ended up staying in another hotel. Don't book here unless you love bed bugs.

Manager charged me an extra $80 upon checking in because “I paid hotels.com…not them” cigarette smoke smell and ashes all over the room. Hand towels were wet…and not from being washed. Bathroom was disgusting and had a nice “notch” cut out of the door so it could be closed. Absolutely unhappy after being forced to pay and extra $80 and not “go somewhere else and pay $400 for a room” as the manager told me. He was not a nice guy at all…and his barking dogs outside didn’t seem to bother him either.

Room was comfortable, but cleanliness was a bit of an issue. The in room coffee maker had mold growing in it, and when I mentioned it to the manager at checkout he basically advised I should have just cleaned it myself. Also a little weird is that there are warning signs about loose police k9s all over the place. Just a little disconcerting. Check-in took longer than I’d normally expect, but there was only one person working the counter on an Indy racy weekend, so I guess it wasn’t too bad.

Booked on line. Didn't have record of it at motel. Used a handwritten form and tried to run my card a second time. Charged additional $20.00 for Kids (One of which was 8). Listed that hotel has pool on hotel.com. There is no pool. This was the main reason for choosing the hotel. My daughter is 8 and has to hang out when we travel for baseball tournaments for older sibling. Pool is a must for her. Was told by the manager that there was a pool around behind some trees. The pool was the neighboring hotels pool. Smell in the lobby was awful. Horrible experience even without the heatwave that weekend.

Tub was full of someone elses hair (SUPER obvious because there was TONS of it.) Bird nest above light at our door= under constant attack from mommy bird. Ate a late dinner, came back to the room and uncovered the bed to find a crap load of pubic hair/ hair/ stains all over sheets BECAUSE THEY WERE NEVER CHANGED. Confronted the owner about housekeeping being poor, and he just kept saying \" I know, I know\" and closed the door on me!!!!! While packing our crap up at 11:30 p.m. to start our frickin 5 hour trip back home, we also got to witness 2 drug deals right in the parking lot!!!!!!! MAYBE I SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT SOME CRACK TOO TO KEEP ME UP ALL THE WAY HOME!!!! I am demanding a full refund. I am contacting the Better Business Bureau, as well as the Indiana Health Department. TOTAL BS!

In my room the tub/shower doesn't drain correctly, and the owner/front person when I arrived was creepy! Showed me around the room and I didn't need to be shown. Breakfast was not always open at 6 am like stated. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Be on your best guard if you rent from here.

The couple that checked us in were nice. The hotel itself was with walking distance of fast food and other restaurants, as well as a supply store for the preparing for Gen Con. Simple breakfast was server pretty early. Air conditioning worked pretty well too.

TERRIBLE HOTEL AND STAFF!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have traveled for a living for 16 years and this is by far the worst motel that I have ever stayed in! The gates to the parking lot are kept LOCKED to prevent entrance and exit creating a terrible safety hazard. The rooms are disgustingly dirty! When I called down to the front desk and asked for linens for the 3rd person in our party I was told by the owner Mr Johnny \"B\" to \"f**k off!!! he can sleep on the floor!!!\" He then proceeded to go in to a 3 minute rant CUSSING ME like I have NEVER heard anyone be cussed before! Besides all of this, the front desk is not kept open for guests to call down to for any reason and in the morning they open up the front desk for check out and breakfast AROUND 9:00 am. I have never been treated so rudely and unprofessionally anywhere and would not recommend this motel to ANYBODY.

Worst hotel experience ever. Pool was not operational even though I called to check before booking and was advised at that time it was open. I called to speak with hotel manager and was appalled at the rudeness he gave me over the phone. I told him I was frustrated about the pool and he told me he \"did not care about my frustrations\". I will never do business with a Ramada again. Extremely dissappointed. Expected more from a Ramada.

The hotel was adequate but I had higher expectations. Clean but small rooms. Hospitality at check-in was subpar. I made 2 separate reservations using different credit cards/names but only one came through. 'Police' dog running around; if one is not a dog person, the dog can be scary. I was wary of the overall cleanliness so eating the continental breakfast was not an option. Parking lot had roadblocks and the pool was closed because it rained the day prior to our stay. Location was great, with grocery store, department store and cluster of restaurants within walking distance.
I would return only as a last resort.

As you approach to the hotel, you will see a lot of \"NO\" signage. This will make us feel uncomfortable first. There was no staff at the lobby, and then a lady showed up and asked me how many beds I neesed. The reservation was made through Expedia so she should have known it, but she didn't understand it. I made a reservation with two adults and two children, but the room given to me was filled with the smell of cigarette smoke. Later I asked the front desk to give me some extra shampoos for my family, but she refused it because the housekeepers has already called it a day.
Absolutely terrible service. Expedia and Ramada must stop contract with them, otherwise they will lose trust from innocent customers who used this crappy Ramada.

Do not bring pets to this location

Owners has a big dog and allows the dog to roam without a leash. Dog terrorized my dog and almost bit my dog a 3 occasions. I do not recommend anyone to stay at this location. I asked the owners to keep their dog away, they refused, they would not leash their dog and allowed their dog to scratch my doors. The room was okay but housekeeping was rude especially when i put the do not disturb sign on the door but they did anyway.

NEVER stay here!!!

Upon arriving at this hotel, we walked in to an extremely dirty and cluttered office. There were two facilities employees on the second floor outside the hotel screaming obscenities at each other with no regard for guests of the hotel. I was shown to my room, opened the door, looked around and was completely disgusted with the disrepair and filth. I didnt even put my bags in the room! My travel partner then refused to leave me at the hotel as planned as he was worried about my safety. He put my things in the trunk and I went next door to a different hotel. Thankfully the Baymont had 1 room left. It was also a clean, welcoming and safe environment. I travel alone quite frequently, in all the years of doing so, I have never before felt scared to stay somewhere by myself so this was a first. This hotel doesnt even deserve 1 star, let alone 5. After I secured the room at the Baymont, my travel partner returned my room key to Ramada Limited. He was greeted by a pit bull, (are you kidding??) and the disleveled hotel manager. He explained the situation but the man seemed shocked that there was even a problem. Unbelievable! I cant believe Wyndham/Ramada would want their name on the door of this disgusting property.

Drug dealers and shady people.

The owner of the hotel said even though we booked a room with two beds our confirmation number did not matter cause they were busy so it was first come first serve. So they didn't have a room for us, it was 11pm and we had to drive around and find another hotel. Worst place i have ever delt with. Not to mention, there were guys hanging out outside ealing drugs and the smell in the lobby was disgusting, i was shocked people were even staying there. ALso, they were charging everyone whatever THEY wanted to, it didn't matter if you had a confirmation or not. Do not book tis hotel, unless you are looking to score some crack, or be over charged for a dump of a motel/hotel whatever this was. Go to the Clarion hotel down the road instead.

I had reservation for 4/12. I was told by the hotel manager that all the rooms but 2 were dirty from the weekend before because of the final four. which seemed odd. I reserved a king bed but was informed they didnt have any rooms with king, ok... asked if I had a bottom floor.. yeah yeah sir.. then he proceed to tell me where my room was at.. 2nd floor.. ok.. I had to move 2 cleaning carts (one parked in the stairwell) to get to the room. upon entering the room, the tv was already on, which is odd.. but ok.. the room was semi-clean, not awful but when I proceeded to take a shower, the shower did not work, just dripped.. so alright.. I sat in the bed and I rolled to the center.. finally I tried to call the front desk, and the phone didnt even work. when I finally reached him on my cell phone. I told him I understood I couldn't get a refund because I prepaid but I said we aren't going to stay, he never asked why, never asked what the problem we had with the room, nothing. even when we left and I handed him the key, when I said I was unhappy, he never asked why.. just said \"have a blessed day\".

HORRIBLE STAY

I've stayed at Ramada hotels before (by Indianapolis airport) and they are nothing like this one! As we were waiting to get checked in the agent was drunk as ever and smelled straight like alcohol. Once I got to the room it smelled like smoke from the time I stepped a foot in. I didn't have a choice but to stay there since i only had a couple of hours until my flight in the am. i was very disgusted and dissatisfied with my stay. If i were to get a refund i would but unfortunately it was nonrefundable. i wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Never again!

I usually do my homework on hotels before booking and wishing I would have on this one! This place is way out dated, booked a king size bed business room, got a single double bed room with a mattress that was so broke down I was afraid of falling out. I was greeted by the resident pit bull followed by the owner that lives in room next to office that immediately pointed out all of the security camera monitors and reassured me this is the safest place in town to stay, which if you need to assure me of that it's not very reassuring! Definitely would not recommend this place to anyone, especially if traveling with your family and looking for comfort and basic up to date amenities!

At half my stay a service man told me he needed to replace de HVAC unit do to a previous customer complaint. After the replacement the difference was significant although I did not complaint it seems that the hotel take seriously customer complaints. I am very thankful for the HVAC unit replacement.

Clerk gone Bad.

Upon Arrival the clerk was rude and insinuating we were using a fraudulent card. Several times while checking in he reminded us of the check out time. Room was dusty but otherwise clean. Hotel needs an Update.

Is this place open?

The hotel is surrounded by \"no trespassing\" signs and warning signs for various acts. I had a prepaid room and I was able to walk into an entrance way that only had a sign to call a number. I called it and 20 minutes later a clerk arrived to sign me in and give me a room. This occured around 6pm. The room itself was clean however the heat work intermittently. When I checked out early the following morning there was a receptionist present and I didn't have to wait.

I got what I paid for.

Hotel staff was nice. The manager was very welcoming. Its' not a 5 star place, so you will not get the amenities of the Marriott. We bought our own disinfectant and cleaning supplies and it was fine for our two night stay. I wish they had more pillows on the bed and actually cleaned the sheets instead of making the bed with the same sheets.

It was forty bucks a night. I wasn't expecting the Ritz Carlton.

Don't let the nice guy fool you!!!!

Management hates online booking because he can't control the rate so he gives you a room much different than the one booked online with less amenities. Bathrooms & televisions need upgrades.

Enjoyable stay

We enjoyed our stay very much. Johnny \"B\" was very kind and fun to talk with. Leo, his dog, was friendly and the love of Johnny's life you could tell. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, the price was right, and had all the things a 5 star hotel would offer if that is what a person was looking for. We would definitely stay there again the next time we are in Indy.

This was clearly the worst hotel stay ever. Rooms were old, smelled old and were probably smoking rooms because it gave me terrible allergies. There was a fabric chair that looked like it came from the second hand store because it was dirty and stained. I didn't allow any of the kids to sit in it. Rooms were super tiny and hard to get around. I didn't let the kids swim in the pool either because it hadn't been maintained. There was plenty of dirt in the bottom and multiple tiles missing from the edge. We refused to take advantage of the complimentary breakfast because of the overall experience. We ate breakfast at the Craker Barrel across the street. The cost of that breakfast could have been used to stay at a nicer hotel. Owner was friendly though.

Worst Experience EVER

Worst experience ever. I put a note on the reservation that I would get there late. Five hours before I arrived I called to verify everything was ok. They told me my reservation was good but did not even want to know my name. When I got there there were two families and a couple outside. They told me the hotel had been overbooked and that the manager had closed the office, gone into one of the rooms and that he was drinking. I tried to reach the hotel with no success. Hotels.com called and got no response. I had to be relocated to another hotel by Hotels.com. A couple days later Hotels.com called this Ramada and the Hotels.com representative told me that she had also been treated very rood.

Don't waste your money

Manager kicked his buddies out of a room so I could have it. Very unclean. Musty smell. Dogs on site for protection. Found another hotel for the remainder of my stay. Many more gripes but not enough time. Avoid at all cost.
