Excellent stay in every way. Room was very nice and clean and the hotel has an elevator which was very important to us. Breakfast excellent and varied. Staff friendly and helpful. Location very central and just a short walk from the Moneda, the subway station and Plaza Armas. Close to many restaurants and pedestrian shopping street.

This is a good hotel to be based on if you have a longer stay in Santiago city. Almost everything you want to see in the downtown area is walkable. The hotel property is not in the best of shape, but it’s not bad either. The hotel staff are kind and helpful - but with limited English skills, so if you have Spanish, you will be even better off.

It was wonderful staying in the center of Santiago. Walking to various parks and plazas was easy and enjoyable.

Regarding the Hotel Panamericano, the room and breakfast were terrific! All the staff memebers were delightful and helpful throughout our three-night stay. A special thanks goes to the incredibly accomodating receptionists. We requested a room change shortly after arriving. Though the hotel was pretty full we were asaigned a new room. The transfer was quick and a manager stayed with us until we were resettled. The attention and care provided was noteworthy.

However, the hotel is old. Baseboard is broken and you can see the nails. Telephone did not work at all. It has shower, no bath tub. Shower water is not hot enough. The staffs do not speak much English; mostly Spanish.

Very grateful for the front desk staffs scheduled some of our tours. The room is clean and comfortable, but lack of some basic things, such as a simple coffee or hot water tea maker, which is pretty standard everywhere in the world. Breakfast is awful bad. Location is the best for a tourist.

The service in this hotel was excellent especially in the restaurant. The hotel was clean and the environment was quiet for the most part. The only negative I would suggest paying for reservation before instead of electing the pay later option because I was charged a higher rate and they would not honor the rate I had been quoted by Expedia when I made to reservation.

If you staybat this hotel avoid 9th floor, rooms are tired! 4th floor renovated, not sure about other though. Restruant needs renovating, staff excellent and accomodating, restruant menu needs attention though, very basic and repetative if you stay to long. if you have a provlem like we did witha dripping shower,we asked formit to be looked at in reception, ehen we arrived at our room in 9th floor the service guy was waiting to look at it. Reception staff very helpful and friendly. All in all value for money.

Great location for seeing the sights in Santiago. Also close to the Metro.

The room was spacious with a good bathroom. The wifi didn't always connect in the room but it was good in the lobby. The breakfast was also decent including more substantial things such as scrambled eggs. There was no noticeable noise from the street in my room.

If you are looking for a more modern hotel then, from what I have found, you'll probably need to stay in Providencia, but that seems to be more of a business district and away from the sights.

Nice hotel in a great location

This was just an overnight stay but I found it to be in a great location for walking around, sight seeing. The room was large and bright and clean. The A/C didn't work but that wasn't a big deal since the windows opened and the weather was mild. The bed was comfortable and overall, I felt very safe in the neighborhood (single female traveler). I would come back to this hotel if I find myself in Santiago again.

Nice room in Santiago

Stayed at hotel for one night after coming back from Patagnonia. Room was large with heated marble floors throughout the whole room. Bed as very large and lots of pillows provided. Upon first glance, the room looks very nice and luxurious but, upon closer inspection, you notice small details like poor-quality closet doors and funky walls. Nothing that makes you want to stay away, but not at the level of a Marriott - which is OK because it costs much less.

Avoid the restaurant for dinner at all costs. The food is mass-produced and not a good value. Breakfast was sufficient given that it was free

I have to say that i will recomend this hotel very center location, includes breakfast very repetitive but something is something, includes parking too. The staff is not kind or will try to serve you but they do their work nothing more. The rooms were clean and ok for me. hot water. Ask for a high floor as this is a city hotel is expected a litle bit of noise nothing that i cant handle. Very near to train and bus station and if you like to use bicycle there is a station almost in front of the hotel. A small market around the corner, an starkbuck in the hotel corner too. Internet access was great.

I chose the hotel for its location in the historical center of Santiago where museums and interesting sites are easily walkable. The hotel is decent and comfortable, but don't expect luxury. It is very good value for the money. It has a tasty breakfast included in the price. The room was comfortable and kept very clean. There is free internet in the rooms, and computers for guests to use for free on some of the floors. I noticed that there were several tour groups that stayed there during my stay - that is usually a good indication that the hotel is good value. I don't speak much Spanish, but that was not a problem. Some of the very helpful staff know English. I was happy with my choice.

The location of this hotel was very good. It was nice and close to the city centre so easy to get around. It is a little older and so not so flash but it was clean and the staff were efficient. The breakfast was substantial as was the restaurant meal at night. Tea and coffee facilities in the room would be a good idea as many travelers don't want to have to ring room service to get a cup of tea, especially if they don't speak the local language very well.

It is in the old city and has lots of interesting sites. Stores and restaurants were right there as was the Hop on Hop off Bus stop for us tourists. The one weird thing was when we were at breakfast, they took all the towels. You didn't have any towels until they washed them and brought them back later in the day. We didn't like that! Would have liked a pool, but price was great.

From the patience of the helpful staff with my non-fluent Spanish to the reliability of the WiFi and spaciousness of the room (single King bed), I have nothing but praise for the Panamericano. The desk clerks were always ready to point me in the right direction with a smile, and when I could only log onto the WiFi with one device (iPhone), the tech guy solved the problem within a few minutes so that I could connect with my iPad and MacBook Air as well. The breakfast was adequate—no complaints but no raves, either. note: Despite the reports of several websites, the outlets were not those found in France and Germany but the straight line of three holes found in Italy. The adaptor I bought for France/Germany worked fine, but some French fellow travelers had problems: the prongs on their plugs were spaced correctly but were too thick to fit in the outlets.

Panamericano has all services a regular hotel from the same category would have (good breakfast, phone, mini bar, TV, safe, etc). They have room for improvement on their computers. Although they have internet access there is no printer to have a hardcopy of reservations to the places you will visit or maps. Also the computers do not allow the connection of USB peripherals like digital cameras (useful when your memory card is full and you have to move your pictures to a pen drive).

A mid-range hotel in a convenient central location. A maximum of 10 minutes' walk to the Plaza de Armas. There was always someone at reception who spoke English. We had a room with air conditioning on the sixth floor overlooking a side street closed to traffic. Our room was a comfortable size with good Wi-Fi. The shower was hot with a strong jet. Everything was clean. The breakfast buffet was extensive and of good quality. Unfortunately, the coffee was very weak. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Infelizmente o hotel fica em uma área de difícil acesso, principalmente a noite, ruas escuras e desertas.
Em relação ao atendimento dos funcionários da recepção nada a reclamar, porém quando tive que conversar com a funcionária de reservas, uma decepção.
Uma funcionária extremamente grosseira, que me atendeu no meio do hall de entrada, na frente de outros hospedes e funcionários e em nenhum momento quis dar uma solução para os meus questionamentos.
A gerência também se mostrou despreparada e demoram dois dias para responder a minha solicitação, quando vieram para resolver, bateram na porta do quarto as 23:00 hs e queriam me devolver dinheiro ( não foi esta a minha solicitação e obviamente que não aceitei pegar o dinheiro )
Isso sem dizer a qualidade do café da manhã que é muito aquém de um hotel três estrelas, o café da manhã não tem um suco sequer.
Para ser bem objetivo, a hospedagem foi uma tragédia, eu nunca mais me hospedo nesta rede hotéis, principalmente neste de Santiago - Chile.

Como reservei o hotel pelo aplicativo, tivemos desconto nas diárias, as recepcionistas não estavam entendendo isso gerando um grande desgaste no momento do check in.
No momento da reserva visualizei que o pagamento deveria ser em dólar e poderia ser em cartão, só não foi especificado que deveria ser em cartão de crédito, como foi exigido no hotel, tive que ir em uma casa de câmbio para sacar o dinheiro em espécie, gerando mais desgastes.
Seria muito importante que tudo estivesse explicadinho para evitar esses contratempos, e que os recepcionistas estejam mais treinados sobre reservas por aplicativo, se eu não insistisse muito, teria pago o dobro do valor que foi programado na reserva.
Tirando essa chateação no momento do check in, a estadia foi maravilhosa, o café da manhã, o quarto são incríveis, nossas toalhas foram trocadas todos os dias, só não trocaram os lençóis, mas como estava tudo limpinho não impactou na nossa avaliação, ficaríamos hospedados nesse hotel novamente.
O hotel fica pertinho de tudo, amamos.

Equipe excelente

Toda a equipe foi extremamente cordial e atenciosa em todos os momentos. Quarto amplo e limpo, água quente. café da manhã com diversas opções e satisfatório. Tivemos alguns problemas na chegada, como o ar condicionado e o cofre, que não funcionaram, mas estes problemas foram imediatamente resolvidos, sem nenhuma \"cara de insatisfação\"por parte da equipe. Também houve troca de fechaduras das portas enquanto estávamos hospedados e nossa chave não funcionava, mas, novamente, foi resolvido pela equipe, muito atenciosa. Esta nota alta se deve especialmente a esta excelente equipe do hotel.

O quarto foi limpo todos os dias, com troca de toalhas e brindes de agua, chocolate e capsulas de café todos os dias.
O café da manhã sempre muito bom, com frutas locais ovos mexidos, variedade de paes e bolos. Iogurte.

Hotel muito bom e em localização estratégica! quartos amplos e com boa limpeza. Tive um problema com o café da manhã em apenas um dos 5 dias que fiquei, mas entendi que foi um caso atípico. Funcionários da recepção maravilhosos e a chefe do andar em que ficamos, quinto andar, muito resoluta também. Vale a pena a hospedagem, ainda mais por darem cortesia diária de água, capsulas de café e chocolates.

Muito boa!! O hotel é ótimo. O café da manhã excelente. O hotel oferece café, água e chocolate todos os dias no quarto.

Boa localização e custo x benefício

O Hotel fica na região central de Santiago, mas apesar disso é bem silencioso. O café da manhã é bom e começa a ser servido às 7h00. Os quartos são espaçosos, mas possuem poucas tomadas para carregar equipamentos eletrônicos.
