We loved our stay at Villa Rolandi. Very attentive staff, two great restaurants, lovely amenities. They are about to undergo remodeling so there were construction noises during the day. That was the only downside, and it was slight. We would come back!

So, most staff super friendly and helpful. Other staff have no idea what they are doing or treat you like your you are not worth there time. All Restaurant staff were very good. The only people I saw swimming were the people doing laps for exercise, pools were very cold. The one salt water pool that is heated is falling apart. Tiles on the floor of this pool or guest are putting the tiles on the outer shelf of the pool, not what I expected for the amount of money I spent. Rooms are a little dated and can be dangerous at night. There are 2 steps going down to the in room refrigerator, I was very cautious at night because it is dark in the room. But, I did see someone that got a severe sprain and needed a walking boot the rest of the trip. The last and worse thing that happened to us. The day before we left, we were told we getting transportation from Zoetry resort to The Dreams resort on Cancun (this is a sister resort). From there we were to be picked up and taken to the airport. On the day we left, it was very windy and the sea was rough, so they sent us on the ferry instead. We specifically asked if they made arrangements for us to be picked up at the ferry port to get to the airport. We were assured that everything was taken care of. We waited at the Ferry port for 1/2 and started getting worried. We called the transportation company and we were told they never were told to pick us up. So, we ended taking a cab and were extremely over charged. $80 us

We had to change rooms 3 times within 24 hours. AC issues. Our first room registered 82 deg and after 8 hrs they kept saying just give it 15 more mins! Finally moved us to another room at 10 o’clock at night and that room wasn’t much better. Finally the next day around noon we got a room with decent AC. The balcony was nice but dirty and the chairs were about to break.

Zoetry is in a beautiful location and you cannot ask for more in terms of the scenery and laid back relaxing atmosphere. Staff were super accommodating, friendly and responsive especially David, Alejandro, and Joseph. Maid service was top notch and we saw room touchups daily including turndown service in the evening. Special touches like a special happy anniversary message we’re greatly appreciated. We never waited to be seated for dinner or breakfast and received waters edge views without asking 90 percent of the time, menu options were quite varied and all delicious including le Metissage which is a 7 course tasting dinner with a different menu each night. Tip: you need reservations for le metissage so plan ahead. Tip: our room was on the ground floor which I highly recommend for the on the beach vibe and accessibility. This isn’t something I would normally do due to privacy concerns but we really enjoyed hanging by the pool and ordering appetizers via room service so we could enjoy notch food on our veranda. There is wait service at the pool as well but the menu options are more limited. Safety was never a concern. For a really special experience, hang out on the beach after dinner and you may see loggerheads come up on the beach to lay their eggs. There were 11 in one night! We participated in several excursions: golf cart rental was easy to arrange at the front desk as well as taxi rides and snorkeling. You pay a little more for the convenience.

This small hotel has top notch service. There is private small craft ferrying from Cancun directly to the property. The rooms are a little bit outdated, but the resort will undergo major renovations soon. Service is what makes the difference here. This is a high end all inclusive resort that serves a la carte and no Buffett ( 2 restaurants with top notch chefs) . Check in was seamless. Alfredo the waiter at the Restaurant Rolandi’s made our stay very pleasant. Leo, the great organizer at the pool was very nice. If you want to stay away from the crowds, the drinking games at the pool, the loud music calling for water aerobics, lines at the bufette; but instead you want to enjoy a private experience, this is your resort.

Our stay at Zoetry was first class! The staff went above and beyond for us. Even when we took a cab to Playa Norte they ran out and offered a cooler with ice and drinks before we left! Anytime we needed anything they were at our room under 10 minutes. The spa was the best service we had ever and resort was gorgeous always super clean. The food was great! One of the restaurants is French which we don’t care much for that type of food but the other restaurant had great food. The ease of booking transportation to the resort from the airport through the front desk was a breeze. One of my guests is pretty picky when it comes to food and service and she was completely blown away. Yeh resort is on the smaller side and meant for people who want peace. If you have a party group and don’t know how to act when drinking, consider staying in Cancun. This resort is super low key and tranquil. 10/10!

Staff accused us of using drugs , very annoying lobby guy hustling us to buy things every night , the bed is so uncomfortable, they over charge for golf cart i really could go on and on. We love mexico and loved the island this will be our only stay at Zoetry what a shame. No VIP offers at all and wanted 2.5 hours to check in to room.

Good for solo female travelers

Amazing experience. Solo female traveler. The size of the property was perfect: intimate. Attentive staff throughout so I didn’t have to worry about safety as I was traveling alone. There were always other guests who were very kind and friendly. No lifeguard on the beach so I made sure to swim in front of others. This is a great place as a getaway, honeymoon, anniversary spot. Many couples here celebrating something or enjoying vacation. Would classify it as an adult resort but not necessarily adults only.
The staff are very kind and helpful. The front desk especially Elijio are resourceful and organized: especially with timing of transport. Pick up/drop off to/from airport and catamaran is seamless. Get their private transport ($120 usd), it’s worth it to avoid hassle.
Food was excellent. They make everything to order so be patient. They cook things in their clay oven. Chef’s kiss. Portion sizes are smaller than American size. I ordered multiple items at each sitting. They don’t waste food.
Try the Thalassotherapy treatment in the spa. I felt extremely relaxed afterwards.

A dated overpriced hotel with bad service

We arrived late at night, were given a wrong number and a long lecture about eating procedures… the check in clerk was behaving like a robot completing its program, and like a 5 star hotel receptionist attentive to his guests. We did not receive a correct room until 1 pm the next day (and the stay was 3 nights only, so each day was important).
Out if 3 nights the room was cleaned 2 times (and they promised 3 times daily).

This was the best hotel we've ever been to. The restaurant never had more than 6 or 7 tables at the same time, the entire menu was available for room service until 11pm. We were receiving pool side drinks service until 8pm. VERY quiet, VERY peaceful, VERY relaxing time. We are already saving for our next visit.

This place was wonderful. Highly recommend for a couples vacation. It is small and the service is top notch. Very relaxing and fun. The food is great, the drinks are great, and the staff is great. The concierge helped us to coordinate golf cart rental and a snorkel trip, both were very fun. We loved it! Highly recommend. (Would not recommend for traveling with children- more of an adult vibe, although Im sure they would be more than accommodating)

Stayed in room 205. Disappointed in how run down the couch was. The cushions were deflated, unzipped, and the bottom of the couch was stained. The mini fridge did not keep things cold, and the room door was hard to close/lock. The staff was great! The food was decent and drinks were yummy! Of 4 days our minibar was only refilled once. Snacks were never refilled. Pools were always clean, beach was great, check out was a breeze. The hounding for people to attend the property program/“timeshare” was very annoying. It started at the airport and continued from the “vip” group. They tell you 90 minutes and keep you well past that even after several no’s. The laundry option was nice to have.

Amazing stay!! From start to finish . We were picked up from the Dreams Ls Vista hotel and were treated like VIP till the end of trip.

They take your bags and bring you straight to the hotels private boat where you have a nice relaxing, boat ride to the hotel . Once you arrive your bags are brought to the hotel while you check in

Once in the room we fell in love with the view and amazing location. Our entire stay it was like they cleaned our room 3-4 times a day.
Every time we would explore the island we would come back for a pit stop to a clean room!!

This hotel was the best we have ever stayed with on of the AMRESORTS brands.
The rooms are big, clean and comfortable. The AC is quiet for a peaceful night sleep.
Laundry is included and was returned in less than two hours.
The restaurant was a highlight. Some of the best food we have ever had in Mexico. The quality was top notch and the flavors perfectly balanced. The seafood was fresh and tasty. My only complaint was that the food was so good I was full the whole time there.
With the private boat transfer to the island was a highlight. Until we made it into town, we had no idea that the other part of the island was crowded. We enjoyed a complimentary bike tour of the island and a beautiful sunset cruise.

Incredible property, one of my best Mexico vacation experiences. Private Catermeran from the port in Cancun to your private dock at Zoetry, from start to finish you will feel like reality. The resort has only 35 rooms and it is very small and quiet. You will not be wanting large resorts after this. The feeling is as of this was your own amazing property and private amenities. You will never have to search for a beach chair or umbrella. The hotel staff is top notch, if they see you trying to move out of the way of the sun, they will be right there adjusting the umbrella for you. We had wine and cheese delivered to the room, we had a special requested dinner on the beach with candle lit walkways, hearts drawn in the sand and even ordered roses. Truly special boutique resort. The staff knows you by name the entire trip! Very special place, this is not in the hustle bustle of the town. If you want peace, quiet and a very personal experience this is the best place on the island. Loved coming to Isla Mujeres vs Cancun and couzmwl. We even seen turtles off the shore while kyacking!!! Love this place

The best five days I have had in a long time. Location, services, food was all 5 stars. The moment you reach Dreams resort (to get to Zoetry) you are in for a treat. The ride to the hotel is so much fun, we meet other people and all enjoyed a beer as we left Cancun to our oasis. You’ll literally pass Ricky Martin beach mansion on the way over. Once you arrive and walk in the lobby, it is wide and open so you instantly see the water and a breeze. The hotel itself is idyllic, and it has an old charm to it. Honestly the staff was the best part, Miguel, Ulysses, Ana, Ezigo, Maria, we’re all friendly and went about and beyond they are literally working so hard to make it memorable. I recommend the seafood soup, fresh juice (watermelon) and the strawberry marg on the rocks. They will literally wait on you hand and foot if you ask for it lol they are that wonderful!! First Time out of the country and this will definitely go down in the books. Can’t wait to go back. Thank you Zoetry Villa Rolandi for treating us so special!

Very pore costumer service ( when check-in and check out, so an organized. It's take them almost in a hour to check us in and for check out after we give them a key they want us to charge for a bottle champagne at all inclusive resort , day we supposed to leave guy told us they canceled our boat and we need to take boat on our own!! One employer promise gorf cart ready in 5 min so Went to room bring money, come out golf cart not available in 30 min...i understand covid 19 we all frustrating but it's only 20 people in this resort and they still don’t know how to handle it ! ) so disappointed! Will not going back this resort

My wife and I spent 6 days at Zoetry in February 2021.
From beginning to end the experience was one of the best ever. We visit Mexico regularly - Puerto Vallarta, Cancun, Zihuatanejo, Ixtapa, Cabo, Playa, Queretero, San Miguel, Cancun, Tulum. This was our first trip to Isla Mujeres, but it won't be our last. I can't imagine staying anywhere else on our return trip. We are NOT all-inclusive travelers. We enjoy venturing out daily so it has just never made sense for us. I was unaware Zoetry was all-inclusive when I made the reservation. What a wonderful surprise on arrival. What a great experience
the rest of the time. Great drinks, great food, great service. Felt extremely safe with regards to COVID and precautions. Excellent medical team came to our room for the rapid antigen test with results given then, followed by a formal written report the next day. Overall, a wonderful, professional, five-star quality experience. Be sure and get a golf cart for your stay! Too much fun around the island to miss out by staying at the resort!!

The service at Zoetry is impeccable! We were greeted at the port to take their complimentary catamaran. My cap blew in the water and they insisted on fishing it out. The ride over was beautiful! First class! It only got better! They greeted us with complimentary beverages in the lobby - offered us lunch while our room was being prepared - we arrived at noon -the lunch was overlooking the beautiful ocean- the food was incredible! Fresh and amazing! Service was “absolutely it would be our pleasure! “ Melina their sales and concierge gave us a run down on the island and arranged a golf cart and private snorkel adventure. It’s also amazingly close to dolphin discovery.
We felt so relaxed! I made sure I booked the couples massage early after booking Zoetry because there are only a couple times each day you can book those.
We caught sunset each day and honestly their property is one of the best to view right from their pool between the beautiful palms.
I know everyone says to go into town try the local food - but Zoetry had so much to choose from and
Everything was great! Bottle water service - great margaritas - why go anywhere else?
We did arrange a golf cart for two days - we used Zoetrys because we didn’t need to take it back - it was ready right in front of the hotel - you book it for 24 hours (4pm - 4pm next day) planned correctly you would only need it for a day or two.
There are a bunch of speed bumps and the carts are gas. Scooters seem faster :)

Pros- location is perfect on the southeast side of island, feels exclusive and secluded, property is quiet, gorgeous very private beach that is idyllic, food was some of the best ever in the one restaurant that is open. Service staff are some of the best around, and I tipped accordingly. Room large and bed while somewhat firm was comfortable with nice pillows. Nice beach dinner however lobster was overcooked. Jacuzzi was nice when warm however took a while to get warm, more than the hour staff reported. Pools were very nice and wood deck was amazing.

Cons- front desk support was very poor although they were nice, didn’t pay attention to details of my requests, didn’t seem to follow up with things or requests. Also, I initiated contact for transportation scheduling both ways. Room service although very fast didn’t taste as good as restaurant, some food was soggy or cold, didn’t send condiments like salt/pepper, ketchup/mayo/mustard, butter. Standard things seemed to be missing. The facility is very dated and there is a bad sewer smell in the lobby bathroom. The rooms are in desperate need of updating.

Overall, 3/5 rating. Was expecting more for zoetry property which is the ritz Carlton of AM resorts. The location is nice, quiet, food is amazing. Rooms are outdated but ok. I would probably give one of the newer updated properties a chance but would definitely stay here again.

Paradise in the time of Covid

A perfect spot for quiet, privacy, and social distancing. If you want to party Covid style jump on one of those ridiculous booze cruises with the bros and hos. This hotel does none of that nonsense. Lovely food and service. Cocktails and perfect sunsets. We ordered room service often, but the restaurant was spacious with windows everywhere. The staff were fully masked even beach side. Bless them!!! We wore our masks whenever we could to be respectful to the staff.
Only minus is the hotel could use an upgrade on the furniture.

We were celebrating my significant other's birth day in Cancun and wanted to make the first few days of our trip worthwhile so I decided to book our stay in Hotel Zoetry Rolandi.

For their daily price range, we were expecting an elegant luxury hotel room, but sadly it wasnt. Their rooms are in desperate need of renovation. Furnitures appears out dated. The king size bed was on a very firm side which made sleeping uncomfortable. A mattress topper would have been ideal. The jacuzzi outside our room had a very noticeable crack and was dirty.
Their gym was closed due to covid, but it would have been feasible if they had set up an assigned time for guest to use individually or per room.
The food was great on the first day. We had dinner in the restaurant, but when we had ordered room service and upon taking several bites of my entree, I noticed there were grains of sand.

Now even though we've ran into several issues about the hotel, it was the alluring views outside our patio and the wonderful staff that made our stay pleasant.

This place is heaven on earth! As many of the other reviews will mention, the staff is phenomenal and wonderfully kind. They knew my go-to drink order in a day!

The food is amazing. I never had a bad meal all week! One rainy day I opted for room service and it was incredibly fast. The French-Mexican restaurant Le Metissage serves a different 7-course meal every night. My first at the resort I dined here and every course was spectacular. This resort was made for anyone who enjoys food. If you’re looking for a buffet of familiar food, stay on Cancun at a big resort.

The other restaurant Casa Rolandi has more familiar dishes but everything is prepared with precision and couldn’t be more scrumptious. One night I had a Mexican ravioli with apple purée, pomegranates, nuts and goat cheese. I can’t say enough about the food - from eggs Benedict in the morning to quesadillas by the pool, everything was top notch.

I stayed in a room on the third floor and had the perfect central view of the entire resort. This place is right on the beach and my room was exactly like the featured photos. On a rainy afternoon, I filled up my private hot tub and hopped in with a corona and watched the ocean. The first floor rooms walk right out onto the pool but I think the view and private hot tubs make the third floor ideal.

This place is small and quiet. I went looking for exactly that - a solo vacation in which I could just do nothing. I’ll say it again, simply heaven.

Great Stay, Scary Start

We had a great time, the hotel and staff were great (though the beach area is very limited).

Note that, three days before checking in, we received an email stating that the room wasn't available, and we would have to go to a sister hotel. Luckily, after a couple of calls, this was resolved.

Island Tranquility...at least for now

This is a beautiful boutique hotel in a beautiful location on Isla Mujeres, very private with a small, but very accessible, beach and three pools, one of them warm salt water. It's all-inclusive so food and drinks are included. If you eat and drink a lot, it's a good deal. If you don't, it's pretty expensive. The restaurant has excellent food (we've come here to eat many times while staying elsewhere on the island) and the views are superb. We enjoyed a very restful several days here, the only decisions we had to make were whether we'd hang out at the beach or at one of the pools. All that being said, Isla is changing rapidly...lots more tourists, more hotels being built every year. It's lost the sleepy fishing village feeling it once had. That's why we like this hotel...it's still isolated enough and small enough to feel set apart from the tourist clamor going on everywhere else. For me it's a shame Isla is turning into a mini-Cancun. For others who work on the island, it may be a blessing.

Overall the property was very georgous. Unfortunately there is not much to do on the property. If laying around the pool all day or laying on a very small beach where the chairs are inclined is your type of relaxation then this place is Fantastic. Personally, I spent most of my time at the beach in playa norte. I am not a big seafood person. There are other options but they are limited. Therefore I at all my meals downtown. I only slept at the hotel. All in all a very nice resort. The staff waits on you hand and foot. They are very nice and attentive. For the reasons stated above I will not return but its more my preference and what I like to do. I would definitely return to Isla mujeres. Instead of staying in a all inclusive, I will stay in a 5 star hotel or a airbnb instead.

The resort was great.

Do NOT buy cigars from the gift shop, I bought 4 cases of cigars ($120 per case), when opened them once I returned home, I discovered that they were fake. I called the resort, they said they’d have someone call me back to follow up. Still waiting.

Amazing place. Very clean. Paying for privacy at this place and you get it. There were a couple sales pitches (vacation club thing?) that were annoying but other than that was worth every penny. Never more than a few people at the pool and no loud annoying music blaring- built for relaxing. Would love to go back.

Simply amazing! Hotel is beautiful and the room was WOW. Service and energy of the staff was impressive. The Casa Rolandi restauran is a magical place. This hotel really thinks of everything... they dont miss a detail to male your stay unforgettable (and Ive traveled all over the world and stayed at top hotels). The sunset cruise is magical and a Must do. Alexander the Concierge was super helpful friendly and professional. Hopping to go back soon!

First visit to Isla Mujeres and this resort. Since I was traveling with my sister over spring break, I reserved a junior suite that was advertised as having a king-size bed and a full-size pull-out bed, with a hot-tub on the deck. The other rooms had only one king-size bed, so there are limited options for non-couple visitors. We stayed for one week.

Things we liked: Small, all-inclusive, quiet, no crowds to fight. Good food, and drinks. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Great spa (if on the pricey side). Beautiful location.

Things we didn't like so much: The \"sit through our sales presentation that is not a time-share\" pitch on our first day. [We agreed to sit through it, and it took a lot longer than the promised 90 minutes. We did receive the incentive \"cash\" for going, even though the program wasn't for us.]

The \"full-size pull-out bed\" was actually less than a twin size, and clearly wasn't used much since the metal frame had rusted and stained the sheets. (Not inviting.) The staff was very quick to provide a roll-away twin-size bed instead. Also, the water for the on-deck hot tub dribbled in so slowly that it would have taken hours to fill the tub and the water would be cold by that time anyway. I tried to use the hot tub once but didn't bother after that.

I definitely would stay at the resort again and would recommend it, but will be a little wiser that some of the amenities listed on the website aren't quite as advertised.

We love Villa Rolandi .
We have returned many times.Staff is wonderful.
However new owners need to renovate property - main dining room is excellent.
And second restaurant should be Italian theme instead of snooty haute gourmet?this is an Italian hotel!!!
Also there should be NO smoking allowedby the pool!! In fact hotel should be smoke free!

Grounds were clean, nice and well maintained the beach and pool staff were friendly and attentive with drinks and food, the restaurant staff was excellent and the food the best we’ve had at any all inclusive we’ve stayed to date. The Zoetry Villa Rolandi is a beautiful hotel with wonderful staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back to visit sooner than later. The hotel is private, very quiet with spacious rooms and features 3 pools (one salt water therapeutic pool). Great place to catch the beautiful sunsets.

Loved our stay at this property! Food was delicious and had good options even though only 2 restaurants. Had a spa massage, very nice! I like the location, you can see the sunset right from the property/beach. Very clean. I like that people cannot walk in front of you at the beach (see pictures). Employees are friendly and eager to help/please.

Luxurious relaxation! Incredible food. Dedicated staff. Don’t be intimidated by the French-Mexican fusion restaurant Le Metissage - they are true culinary artists! The regular menu & the 7-course tasting menu are both wonderful. And Rolandi’s restaurant - truly, every meal was special. Nothing about this resort is average...well, except for some of the chairs around the pools, which have a wide range of quality. They need more pool/beach chairs in general and a few more umbrellas, too. We got some great perks for attending the Rewards Program presentation, but they told us it would be 90 minutes and it was much longer. Don’t let them take your vacation time like that. This resort is small & generally quiet, which is why people go there, but all it takes is one person or a small group of louder folks to totally change the atmosphere. It’s a safe area for walking on the road but not far to go on the beach. If you want to go into town, taxi or golf cart is required, but we loved just being at the resort & taking walks to Isla Animals dog rescue so we could help take dogs for walks. If you want a quiet place to be pampered & relax, this is a great resort & worth the money.

What an amazing resort!!! The hotel and staff go up and beyond to make your stay memorable. From the moment they pick you up in Cancun with their personal yacht, to your return back to Cancun. With only 35 suites facing the beach, they all know your name and the things you like. Being a single woman traveling by myself, I felt very safe! Being a foodie...their food was the best! Visiting with other guests that were there during my 10 day stay, most of them come back a couple times a year...and have for years. I believe that’s a real testimony to this wonderful hotel, staff and island! A great place to just relax and be pampered!! Can’t wait to go back...soon!

This is a small resort. It is a beautiful property. Our room was large, comfortable and clean. Everyone who works there had a smile on their face. They were friendly and very helpful. There are 2 restaurants and both of them were excellent. We enjoyed several massages at the spa. We were pampered and spoiled and came home very relaxed and happy.

Some renovations went on during the day while we stayed there so it could get a bit noisy, but not unbearably so. Its a small resort, located in a quiet area--all the amenities needed to relax. There were some children when we stayed but I don't recommend bringing them, its definitely more of a grown-up place.
Service was excellent and coordination of airport transfer to resort was seamless when booked through them (they coordinate the timing and communication between their boat to/from the island and the airport car transfer). Day of departure we didn't have time to grab food before heading out and they kindly packed some sandwiches in boxes at our request to take with us.
Room was spacious and looked pretty much identical to the photos on Orbitz. Bed was comfortable--we're picky about beds, spoiled at home with out Tempurpedic.
Room Service is so convenient, just make sure to allow some time...30 min ahead of when you would like to eat, and make sure to have the order repeated back over the phone--if its wrong you'll have to call again and then it will be another 30 min.
Tipped regularly in USD (we took a bunch of $1 bills with us). Everyone seemed fine with it and said thank you so I didn't get any impression on the resort there is any need for pesos. Overall, really loved the relaxing atmosphere here and how quiet it was. Since its a small resort, you get to recognize the other guests and strike up casual conversation, a very different feel from a large resort.

It really is all inclusive. We managed to get out of there without extra costs to our hotel room. All of the hotel staff are extremely friendly and make you feel welcome. When you leave the hotel, they make sure to find out who is taking you, so that they can be assured that you come back. They also have great food! It really has a beautiful view and I couldn’t have asked for more from a honeymoon.
