I’ve been staying at this place Hotel Belo for. Over 6 years every 3 months and love it
They just changed names and rules and very disappointed. Check In was great as always but they have to be on exact timing for everything no le way
1. Up stairs used to be the best music and view and bar.
Now no food and beer is hot and music is low
What’s the point of having it low where you can’t hear anything ?
2. One of the best breakfast on the island yes even for a hotel Now buffet style so all your food is served cold ! Asked for a beer only one ! But there two of us well the other has to go up and ask. That killed it for me WTH !
3. no more room service after 12pm

Then they said we got there towels dirty ! The towel was already stained with red and they charged for for that ! Wait so you give us used old towel they have been there for years and charge me for a new one cus you think I did it ! Very Very wrong I guess this is what happens when the big buy takes over

After years of loyalty and spending my 3-4 days there. I’m afraid I’m going to look for a new place.

The front desk staff, both during the day and at night, were very nice, welcoming, and extremely helpful. The hotel was clean and had a beautiful view. The food was delicious as well.

However, during breakfast we did feel overlooked. couldn’t help but feel that we were not given the same level of attention as other non-Latin guests. After getting seated and going to get our food, no one came by to offer us drinks for quite some time. We eventually got up to get them ourselves. Meanwhile, we observed servers checking on and offering drinks to other guests around us. It wasn’t until I stood up to get our own drinks that someone approached our table.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but I believe all guests should receive the same level of attentiveness and service. We hope the hotel can ensure that every visitor feels equally welcomed and valued.

Overall it was good. The pros: service is excellent! Arnold, Umberto, Hugo, Matteo, victor, Jorge were all great. Location is outstanding…away from town and on the beach. Views are magnificent.

Cons: all inclusive food is not great. We figured out what we could eat that we liked and lunch was extremely limited unless you like fried food. Breakfast was good…dinner was okay. Drinks were good and the ceviche and guacamole and chips were good, but after a week, it was a boring menu. The rooms were comfortable…but very noisy. We could her the couple next door fighting and street noise.

It was very good considering the cost.

I thought I was booking Hotel Belo, an adults only all inclusive resort. It said that they provided robes and slippers and that there were hot tub tubs. Several days after we got there a bunch of kids showed up at the wedding party and the service went way downhill no robes and slippers in the rooms our room did not have air conditioning. I’ve already sent a letter to the hotel but it was not what we expected. Although it is a beautiful hotel, and the staff is very accommodating.

A girls trip from the Midwest and found other girls/ families from the Midwest who were here for a winter getaway! Small enough to get to know staff and other guests to share ideas of places to go/sites to see on and off property. Loved staff Hugo Arnold and Alberto! Mateo can get you a taxi anytime to go to Punta sur or Playa Norte for the day. But we loved coming back to this quiet home. Very clean! Staff is wonderful! Love that it is a smaller resort. The beach is great with a beautiful sunset view. Beach chairs were plentiful and beds on beach to escape the sun if needed! The pools are both great! The sky deck felt like a private beach club with a top notch workout room better than hotels twice this size. Loved that all meals were table service (room service available but never used it) No buffets!! Food was prepared special for each plate and very accomodating to requests. Try green enchiladas or huevos rancheros for breakfast! They make an amazing cappuccino and tequila sunrise at the bar for breakfast. Get fish or shrimp ceviche at the snack bar for lunch. Don’t miss the corn cream soup and grilled salmon with a lemon drop martini for dinner. Tip well and get amazing service! Full Bar service at pool and sky deck for amazing fun! Ask for a special shot (Mexican Candy shot) or the bartender’s recommendation and you won’t be disappointed!

Everything was wonderful staff were very kind and went above board at their service! Beautiful clean hotel. Massage on the beach was outstanding I was having alot of pain with my shoulder and had been to the chiropractor 3 times before we left home and she fixed me no more pain. It was a ways from the main part of town. But taxi’s were inexpensive.

The staff was great. The room was clean, but it was a jr suite with kitchen ect.. but no dishes/pots/glasses. We had the all inclusive pkg and if we had been there longer would not have been happy with the food. Only two places to eat and the open times and menus were very limited. The hotel emailed me prior to our visit offering to help with transportation to the hotel. I replied that that would helpful. They never returned my email. We were able to figure it out but that's not the point. Also the name of the hotel has changed from whats listed on Hotel.com and this was also very confusing. Will not be going back. also hotel.com needs to make sure of hotel name change and notify customers.

f you book this hotel, be prepared for transportation to the island via ferry. Regarding the hotel itself, there are two pools, but neither ever gets warm. The hot tubs are okay, but all pools and tubs close at 8 PM. The Sky Top area is only open from 12 PM to 8 PM.

The hotel is all-inclusive, but it’s not a buffet-style setup. There’s only one restaurant and one café for food and snacks with restricted working hours, plus two bars for drinks. The family room we booked felt more suitable for couples, as it has a completely open, glass-walled bathroom and shower.

Overall, I wouldn’t return to this hotel. Thanks!

We chose Hotel Belo’ for our honeymoon because we had stayed here before and truly loved it. Unfortunately, this visit did not live up to our previous experiences.

We were offered an upgrade to a balcony room for an additional $50 per night, which we accepted. While the balcony itself was nice, the room had some notable issues. The walls were extremely thin, and there was an adjoining door to the next room that was not properly sealed—you could actually see light coming through it. This caused significant noise and privacy concerns, which was disappointing, especially on a honeymoon.

The bathroom was also a major letdown. When we arrived, the hot water was not turned on, and we had to ask staff to come and restore it. Even after that, the water pressure was horrible, making showers uncomfortable and frustrating throughout our stay.

The service overall felt like it had declined compared to our previous visit. Staff were polite, but the level of attentiveness was not the same. The menu had also changed, and unfortunately not for the better. The food quality and selection were disappointing compared to what we remembered.

This is really too bad, because we genuinely like this hotel and have fond memories here. This stay simply didn’t meet expectations for such a special occasion. For now, I don’t think we’ll be back for a while, but I do hope the hotel can address these issues and return to the quality it once had.

I’m really sorry to have to write this review. The front desk, staff and doorman Mateo. We’re very nice and understanding. Also, Jorge and Victor in the dining room were attentive and very pleasant to deal with. We travel frequently. I am a nurse and my husband is a mechanic. We work very hard to afford vacations. We are not picky and like any local dive bar we come across with good food and drinks. The food here was cafeteria food at best. The breakfast was edible. It was hard to find anyone to wait on you for lunch and when you did, you got attitude. The dinner was disgusting. The room service was disgusting. The room themselves were nice, clean and comfortable. My suggestion is if you stay there, don’t go all inclusive. I tipped every single person that waited on me. Most of the time I felt like I was bothering people when I asked for a drink or food. It seems like they are cutting corners at this hotel. For example, they use red solo cups, and we’re reusing them behind the bar when they couldn’t find any new ones. I spoke with a couple that stayed there three times. They said it has gotten progressively less nice and accommodating. We left a day early. Again, I named the staff above because it was not their fault. The cleaning staff is also excellent. I hope this review helps.

We enjoyed our stay. There were pros and cons. Our room was beautiful howevwr they didnt provide waah cloths and the walls are thin. Could hear every word and sound our neighbors made. Bathroom was nice. Showerhead which was supposed to be a rainfall type didnt work properly.

Staff was very friendly and polite.

Pool area was also nice bit rhe fountain wasnt working and the jets in the round pool part ne er turned on. We dont understand why the jacuzzis arent warm at all. If we want cold we would get in the pool.
Beach front kept very clean and view was quite beautiful.
Restaurant had good food. Small portions.
Skip the snack bar all together. Not good good at all.

On our last night, the linen placed on one of the beds reeked of urine. It was disgusting. We ended up combining beds because honestly, even if changed who would want to sleep there. When I mentioned it at check out, the response was underwhelming. Every other part of the stay fell firmly in the average range. Food, service, amenities, all mediocre. The staff was friendly but not attentive. It was hard to find someone to get a drink and when we did find someone we had to wait a good 10-15 minutes before we received our drink. The pool has a swim up bar but there was never a bartender there since the same staff member is waiting tables at the snack bar. The food was not good and the portions were small. They do not cater to people with food sensitivities. They were constantly running out of things from one day to the next. There are zero activities. If you want something to do, you have to go offsite. The music is loud until late at night and it's all EDM. We were there for Christmas and had dinner where a family member joined us later and she was given a special Christmas menu. This menu was not offered to us for unknown reasons. The room was small and clean but the bathroom counter was covered in stains. There were not many guests so we often had the rooftop pool to ourselves. The beach is small but clean.

The food quality has gone down at Beló. We were there in March of 2025 and returned in December. The food quality has gone down significantly since March, with smaller portions, fewer options to choose from, etc. the bar kept running out of red wine!!! They only had like 4 bottles for the entire restaurant for the night. However, the bar did the best they could to save some bottles for us, so we are still grateful!! The staff was awesome, best staff in cancun, very attentive, helpful. Some good drink selection at the sky bar. Not much to do at night, restaurant closes early. Overall still good, we love how peaceful this property is, the staff makes you feel home, catering to your every need. Hope they can elevate their menu and do some updates to the property - bathroom design is just not good, showers flood the entire bathroom.

Staff was amazing, property was clean and beautifully designed. The beach was quaint and quiet with great snorkelling however the beach was soft so not great for swimming. Food on this resort was more miss than hit. The snack bar was decent, and breakfast was as to be expected however we were disappointed with the Mexican cuisine. We expected great tacos and amazing options however the dinner felt frozen and not good at all really. For an all inclusive resort we wouldn’t recommend staying here for the food alone. Loved all of it! Delicious food options! Beautiful beach area, clean and cold rooms! Small boutique hotel but had everything we needed! Family oriented. Beautiful views from the Skybar! Pool area was great! Plenty of Bali beds! Great staff! Only thing I would request is that the Skybar stay open past 8 pm for adults to have an area to hang out late, with open bar and music. Since late night entertainment is not available , I think leaving the Skybar open a bit longer maybe even till 11 pm would be beneficial to the adult guests.

It was misleading advertisement as All Inclusive property. We paid for All Inclusive food and drinks but it’s A La Carte menu instead of buffet style. The menu has very limited choices of food and it’s the same menu everyday. Food is terrible. We booked for 6 nights but checked out after 3 days. The property has no activities for guests.

This hotel design was impressive! The rooms were huge with air conditioning, good bathrooms, showers, kitchen, (we stayed in the first floor beachfront). Bed and sheets were very comfortable.
Staff is great super helpful and I really enjoyed when Arnulfo was our waiter.

Few things to consider, if you want only to use the pool at the hotel and you don’t care about the beach, this hotel is great. The beach is dirty, small and there is no way to swim, since there is a huge bag of sand right where the swings are.
Food is good, the menu is the same daily but the food changes because they run out of ingredients. Whenever they had the right ingredients food was good, but there is no fruit offered, no pastries and there is no convenience store in the hotel.
There is no activities for kids other than the pool.
Next door to the hotel is a port used as a lunch stop where people come and go to a restaurant and there is a bunch of people around. I didn’t liked that.
The location of the hotel is good, but since I wanted to use the beach, it didn’t worked out for us.

Another thing to point out is that when you don’t speak Spanish all the people that offer services are extremely expensive. For example the taxis. Be careful and haggle for a better price otherwise they will rip you off.

Hotel Belo is an absolute gem, we stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed every second. The staff are all amazing, very helpful and friendly. Special shout outs to Hugo, Gerardo (Gerry), and Toni. They made us feel like we were at home with our friends. The rooms and overall property were very clean with a nice modern but rustic style. We enjoyed the location as it was away from the hectic touristy area around Playa Norte. The island is very small and with the rented golf cart we can be anywhere we need within 10 mins. The only thing I can think that could be better is the water out front is not the best for swimming, but for the price you cant go wrong with Hotel Belo! We will definitely be back. Thank you to everyone who made it such a special trip!

Everything was great until the last day. We spilled some coffee in the room onto the wood cabinet. We cleaned it up with the handtowel. They charged us for \"additional cleaning\" for the towel. What were we supposed to do? Leave it and damage the cabinet? Use the toilet paper - have you used the toilet paper there??

AWESOME experience! I am definitely coming back. I enjoyed the relaxed environment. The staff & service was exceptional. Their menu offers many options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Everyone has a different palate so you might not like everything. We tried different options and stuck to what we liked. The hotel's beach access is very small, not very appreciative but the hotels amenities, staff, and service makes up for it. I recommend to visit playa norte to enjoy the beach, it is beautiful but busy! You have the option to take a taxi or rent a golf cart to get to the beach. Regardless, of their small beach access I would come back for it's tranquil and relaxed vibe.

I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Belo. I did the all-inclusive option. I enjoyed the food and the amenities. It was a more chill environment compared to the large resort properties. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially Mateo at the front.

This property was NOTHING like it was advertised. The hotel is understaffed- LONG wait times for drinks and food. The food and drinks never came as ordered. The only restaurant on site was HOT- no central air. Guest were allowed to smoke while dinning at the restaurant. The restaurant and bars were understocked… “that’s not available.” The rooftop pool was DIRTY! Hotel Beló allows locals and travelers to get day passes and they use that pool as a community bathroom… and you can’t use the pool downstairs because the kids rule the roost- cannonballing and yelling making for a not so relaxing time. The access to the water is limited and not anything you can enjoy- not as advertised! The gym was incredible for a hotel and the room was nice.

We had an amazing stay at hotel Belo. It’s a smaller hotel and the atmosphere is amazing. Staff was GREAT. Mateo always greeted us with a smile, Alberto recommended a whale shark tour that was unforgettable and Hugo and other restaurant staff went above and beyond to provide excellent service. Hotel has an option to rent a golf cart which is very convenient. Thank you for an epic vacation, we enjoyed it.

Very nice hotel, it is small but has all what it needs, excellent service, we were pampered by Rodolfo, Julio, Jose and Rogelio and Mateo and the food is excellent.
The food takes time to be served but they are very attentive to make the wait worth.
Gym is very good and we loved the warm pool!!! The beach is nice although there are sections where there is mud on the bed floor but you can go to the next door beach

This was THE most magical stay because of the staff. Everyone had impeccable energy within the team and with the guests. They made this experience utterly beautiful.
Mateo and Kassandra greeted us with attentive warmth. Willy and Abdel started each of the days with smiles and kindness. Rodolfo and Julio especially MADE the experience…the two of them gifted us with jokes, care and friendship. Cortes was the best protector. Tony, Hugo, Arnulfo and Jorge set our nights (and drinks) on fire. Ingrid did an amazing job of keeping our room beautiful. The grounds keeping staff worked tirelessly to keep the beach, fauna and pool areas like paradise. Nelly and Ingrid gave THE greatest massages. I cannot explain what a tremendous job this hotel does at hiring THE most lovely humans. Everyday felt like being surrounded by genuine friends and family because of the staff atmosphere.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful inside and out, impeccably clean, manicured, and very friendly helpful staff. The food was excellent. Everything we had was fantastic.
Downside:
1. Our room had the door kicked in at some point and it was screwed back together badly with no metal plates for the lock or door handle to go into. Rm 216
2. The bathrooms have no doors. Toilet area does, but there's no privacy whatsoever. Some people have kids or roomemates and have no place to change or shower with any privacy.
3. The beach front was disappointing. There is a weird built up burm and where that was smelled terrible. There was really no beach area to speak of. The hotel next to us did.
4. It's a long way from the town center. You have to taxi back and forth, $10 each way, or rent a $120 a day golf cart. Can't walk there at all.
If I go back, I'd probably pick a place closer to town.

We absolutely loved Hotel Belo. The staff was amazing, super friendly and always went above and beyond! Food was always so fresh and the property was super clean. Every day they prepared the pool area and cleaned all the common areas. Even getting on ladders and cleaning high up in the hard to reach places.
My husband ended up with a migraine one evening and we had to order room service. I ordered 2 chicken Caesar salads but forgot to order one without tomatoes. My husband hates tomatoes. Yet when room service delivered the order they remembered our request from recently eating at the restaurant downstairs and put the tomatoes on the side! I was so surprised. It's really the little things and they definitely pay attention to those details to ensure your stay is the best it can be.

Rooftop pool was surprisingly dead and we suggested they add loungers. It didn't happen during our stay. I'm sure there is a reason behind that but it definitely would have more inviting and we would have spent much more time there if they had. They used to have round bed loungers in the pool, which would have been perfect, but sadly they were no longer there.

We had an issue on our 5th night with a group of loud young girls who checked in next door and were up until 2:30am. The next morning we asked if we could possibly move rooms as we are not night owls. The front desk staff immediately took action and offered us another room with a beach view.
Overall SUPER impressed with Hotel Belo!!
