13 days here and what a great place. Spotless, well maintained and so close to everything we love on Isla Mujeres! Within metres of Playa Norte. The staff take great pride in maintaining this property and taking care of their guests. Alex, the manager, greeted us on arrival and escorted us to our suite. Room is spacious and included full fridge,, small cooktop and microwave along with basic dishes and utensils. The suite is modern and very clean. The beds are very comfortable, air conditioning keeps things liveable. Loved that linens and towels are monogrammed and the shower is modern, with great pressure. There is a hairdryer and body wash/shampoo provided.
Our only, very minor concern was non-guests wandering through the property and even using the pool! Hard for staff to monitor. We got an excellent off-season rate this time and expect high season is considerably more, but definitely worth it! We’re already looking forward to returning here!

The location is great. Right next to North Garden Restaurant and right across the street from Snappers and a 2 min walk to the beach. Plenty of shops, bars, restaurants within walking distance. Our room was clean and the staff were helpful. The pool was nice after being at the beach all day. The weightroom had just enough equipment to get a good workout...a little worn out but it served its purpose.

The shower was awful with water spraying out everywhere but little pressure. Couldn’t even get my hair wet. Toilet wouldn’t flush. I called and they did come and fix the shower and toilet. Ants in the kitchen area. Told them abs I was told it was from rain. WiFi was out for 2 days was told from weather although all the other places we went had wifi. Never came to clean the room. I requested towels and garbage removal. They brought towels but never took garbage. Was told when we got there they would refill the water dispenser but never did that either. Location was good for the beach! Probably would not stay there again.

Decent location, but the details need work. I was in no way expecting fancy, and I was not disappointed. Pricey for what you get, though it served its purpose for a last-minute booking over a holiday week. The pool, easy walk to Playa Norte, and a responsive manager are genuine highlights — and the beds are comfortable, assuming you bring your own pillow (the ones provided are essentially decorative rocks).
The bathroom is a design failure: an absurdly tall counter and faucet that turns a simple face wash into a full soaking event. The doorknob fell out of the door. No bedside lamp either, though to their credit, one was brought when asked.
Clean room, streaming services included, but whoever approved the hot pink sheets should reconsider, as it makes you question their cleanliness.

Staff were accommodating. Place and its location is very accessible to restaurants, stalls, and tourist area, especially the beach. You’re 3 to 5 minutes walk to the beach areas, don’t look for a beach front in this hotel.
I recommend that you bring your own toiletries.
Don’t expect for the cleanliness of your room to be a top notch like your 3-5 stars hotel. Overall, it’s a nice place to stay if you’re looking for a homy and chill vibe in the island.

We have found our home on Isla Mujeres. We have been traveling to this island for 25 years. We've stayed at many different places - but the search is over. I am afraid to say this - because there are less than 15 rooms - I want it to stay my little secret BUT I have to say what a fantastic stay we had. Right from the initial contact with Alexander Castellanos, who manages the property, everything went smooth as silk. We stayed in room 11 which was right beside the wonderful pool. We had 2 Queen pillowtop beds. The A/C worked perfectly, there was plenty of hot water for showers and the kitchenette was nice to have. We appreciated the large fridge and the coffee maker. We discovered this property accidentally last year while walking to North Garden for breakfast. This little oasis is tucked in between North Garden and Grill Garden (if you know you know....) and we were hooked at first sight. We enjoyed the very short walk to the beach. The beach club at the end of the road will give you 2 chairs and an umbrella for $450 pesos for the entire day. There is great food for lunch and great drinks for sale right there. Our days consisted of walking to the beach for the morning - until it got too crowded for us - and then coming back to our little sanctuary pool for the rest of the day. There were 4 of us and every day we had the entire pool to ourselves. There were rafts available to use and it was SO relaxing and peaceful. HIGHLY recommend this little gem.

Con: The internet would not connect to WIFI and checking out was never made clear due to early checkout and language barrier.

This place is an absolute gem! A quiet, hidden paradise, steps up the road from Playa Norte, yet secluded from the business of the area. The room itself has air conditioner and a fan, a great bathroom, a water purifier, electric blackout blinds, and a sitting area on the patio. And they provide beach towels, which is a huge bonus. The pool is awesome to hang around in when you need a break from the beach. Many food options and tiendas super close by. Alex is a wonderful communicator who can answer all your questions. They are super flexible and have a wonderful staff. The value for money here is excellent. I would not hesitate to stay here again on my return visit. The key to this place is it’s proximity to the beach, which is a two minute walk away. The pool area and courtyard as a whole provide a nice respite from the busy street outside. The rooms provide basic amenities, and the property is well cared for by an attentive staff. It’s a great value for the price.

We paid an extremely reasonable price for a hotel that was a block from the beach. Alex the property manager was very helpful and accommodating. The pool was very relaxing and we were able to get some nice pics in it!
Plenty of shops near by, and walking distance from EVERYTHING. We got a golf cart the first day but quickly realized we didn’t need it because everything was so close. Very nice and quick breakfast spot right next door.

We loved being able to wake up, grab some breakfast, and then immediately head to the beach! Very pleasant experience.

Just remember this is a very small island! So it came with its own challenges, at no fault to the hotel.

The location is perfect. 2 minute walk to the beach, restaurants all around. Once in hotel it is quite, clean, great air conditioning and HIT WATER fir a great shower after the beach. During my 9 day stay i had to work 5 days and thw wifi was always strong. I used the diningvtable as my workstation and this was perfect. I will be back for certain!

The staff were great, but the room was lacking. The kitchen was not as pictured on the website (1 small burner) and everything that I would have expected when booking a room for two was not there. No pots/pans until requested (and then just a very small pan), no 2 of anything (coffee mugs, glasses), one small pillow each so not easy to watch TV in bed comfortably, no coffee table with the couch and no safe. I had stayed here before many years ago when the attention to detail was much higher. For the amount paid per night this wasn't as expected but the location is perfect. This was room #9 so maybe the other rooms are better set-up. Sadly, because this was disappointing, I will look elsewhere the next visit.

Everything was as expected, great location, large room, pool was small but clean. Our next to last day though the power went out across the island and we were left without power, ac, flushing toilets for nearly 12 hours. We heard from another guest that this was a scheduled outage for a large part of the island. I can understand this is something out of their control however my frustration stems from the lack of communication. We heard about this from another guest. I was able to reach out by text but no additional information was able to be provided. There was no generator, no candles, way to charge our phone or anything provided (it went past dark). If we had been told it would have allowed us to make other arrangements, being our last night we would have moved to the mainland.

This place was a gem.Alex the manager was a pleasure. Room was very clean and spacious . Had everything you needed kitchen with fridge ,microwave,hot plate.dishes ,blender coffee pot. We only used the fridge but everything was there. They even had the big jug of water so you didn’t have to buy any. Beds were comfortable and a/c worked great. Your front patio had a table and chairs plus a sofa.out your back door you had a clothes line to hang up wet clothes. They had a massage hut right outside our door.I had a hour massage with Patrica and would highly recommend . We spent 3 nights and would definitely stay here again. Thanks again Alex was a pleasure meeting you and your staff.

We loved this property! Would absolutely stay again. Very unique and authentically Mexican property. Our room was very nice with a built in kitchenette and pleasing decor and furniture. AC worked great and beds were soft. Only a few steps away from playa Norte and many amazing bars and restaurants were connected to the front of the property. Management and staff was very nice and helpful. Our massages from the spa were also amazing! All around great experience.

the first night I was given the wrong room, two beds instead of 1 king, the second night they upgraded us to an executive room with a king which was great. The hotel has much potential, loved the art around it and location was near the beach but not enough staff keeping up with cleaning rooms and common area, so parts of the garden looked very abandoned and trashy. I heard music through my bathroom window one day and a \"male worker\" was on his phone watching videos for 2 hours. without proper management this hotel will go under and it's a pity.

We reserved room 8 and received a text message that we were given room 4 which was closer to the street and noisy. We had specifically reserved a room towards the back of the property. No one at reception the whole time we were there. Coffee pot had no coffee filters. Overall the location is good next to Playa Norte but run down. Pillows were flat and uncomfortable.

We absolutely loved our stay at Paradise Suites. We were at another hotel with a beach view, but still elected to move here because of the convenience to Plays Norte and Hidalgo. We also appreciated having more amenities like the kitchenette, which was nice since we stayed a couple weeks. Great shower pressure with hot water was an upgrade for us too! The entire staff was great to work with! Alex was communicative and accommodating. Housekeeping did a great job ensuring clean rooms and fresh towels when we needed them. Grounds crew was always busy maintaining the place and the spa staff were friendly as we came in and out. Also, LOVED the pool. We will be back next year! Thanks Alex and team!

Hotel Paradise suites has so much potential as a property but, unfortunately, has apparently fallen into the sort of neglect you would expect to see in a two star or less property. On the positive side, the artwork spread throughout, from the check in area to the rooms, is really awesome and captivating. As for the Rose themselves, we were first shown to a room, which by the way we were paying more than $250 per night for, that was frighteningly rundown, including broken window blinds, appliances in the kitchenette that looked like they had been salvaged from a junkyard, no water dispenser and a back side courtyard, so to speak, that looked to be nothing more than a dumping place for broken down appliances and bathroom fixtures. We asked for and were – thankfully – moved to a larger room that seemed to have been cared for more, but we still lacking in such basic amenities as a single lamp, drinking water, coffee maker, and any cooking receptacle other than a small frying pan with no lid. Despite being instructed to put all toilet paper into the trashcan next to the trash, we did not see a housekeeper for the first three days of our visit, eventually removing the trash ourselves, asking for either a broom to sweep the sand from the floor or for the floor to be swept and hunting down a housekeeping cart to look for a new set of towels. We have nothing against rugged accommodations, if priced accordingly. Not the case here…

Very strange but unique property. The room we had was an upgrade as there was construction near where the dual bed suites were located. To be honest, it seemed like the whole complex was under renovation at one point and they just gave up. Definitely needs some TLC and a bit of a modern upgrade on the rooms and common area. Some of the taps and other fixtures were slightly damaged or needed maintenance. The pillows and bed seem a little worn out and not the most comfortable, but a whole day in the sun makes quick work of being awake anyways.

Distance from downtown Isla Mujeres and the north beach is unbeatable (unless you get a hotel on the actual beachfront). Alex (manager) was not always on site (or any staff), but was extremely friendly, helpful and always available via text or phone. Overall a generally positive experience, although there seem to be much nicer and more modern hotels with the same distance to the beach for comparable prices or less.

This is a great place to stay and the manager Alex is a real gem. The property is beautiful and very clean. The room was nicely, decorated and extremely comfortable. The beds are great here. we love the pool, which is clean and beautiful. The hotel is about a block to beautiful Playa Norte, where the water is clear and incredible. There are restaurants within a block of Paradise suites. A big shout out to our housekeeper Ruth, who did an amazing job at keeping our unit clean. It is so nice to have a well equipped kitchen to make some meals. really a five star for us and the rates were very reasonable. Highly recommended.

Very run down hotel. Grounds a mess. Trash, construction materials everywhere. No pool chairs, just falling down structures on stilts with dirty mattresses. Service was awesome, we arrived very late and she was very accommodating and helped us with a small issue right away. The room was not as pictured but still nice. The pool was completely drained while we were there, wish we would have known this before we arrived, as it was one of the amenities we were really wanting. The location is very good.

It is a quiet, safe place to stay. Big rooms with a comfortable bed. Staff was accommodating and friendly. The manager lives on the property and was always just a text away. Only thing that was disappointing was the pool was out of commission for repairs. I would definitely stay there again.

Broken femur bone and no refund.

I'm sorry to say I didn't get to stay at the resort. My review is soly based on the fact that I broke my femur bone 3wks. before check-in and they wouldn't refund my booking. I had doctor and surgery report to varify incident. I had doctors order to stay off leg with no bending for 6-8 wks. with a plate and screws in my leg. Very disappointing.

The property is undergoing renovations and it's a very chilled and relaxed operation. The location was great but it was very expensive. The staff were great and were able to fulfill most requests.

Location...Location....Location. Steps away from North Beach and easy walking to many great places to eat. Alec is a wonderful manager and readily available if you have questions, need recommendations for places to eat or things to do. Will definately return to Hotel Paradise on our next trip is Isla Mujures!

We liked the location and the room. We would be gone all day and come home to get ready for evening and maid was cleaning room very late in day so we had to go wait by pool. There is no one in the front desk area for the 15 days we were there. The only time we saw the “manager” Alex was when someone was checking in.

The rooms were clean, bed was very comfortable. Overall the property seemed quite run down and very outdated. There is a hot tub near the pool but it was in horrible condition. If they aren’t going to keep it up they should remove it. Also the common areas / buildings were very dilapidated and run down. I’m sure this was a stylish hotel “back in the day” and it has potential to shine again ….. but needs investment and attention in my opinion.

I rarely give bad reviews but I hope this serves as a warning for others looking to not be scammed and waist their money. I booked this hotel because I wanted a gym and kitchen to use, as I have dietary restrictions and prefer to cook my own food as restaurants often do not provide feasible options. In the gym, not a single piece of cardio equipment in the gym worked properly. All weights and machines were fully rusted over. The pots and pans in the kitchen were unusable. By unusable, I mean the teflon was completely scratched off exposing any food or water to more than 9,000 micro- and nanoparticles, potentially contaminating food with harmful chemicals, according to a study by researchers from the Global Centre for Environmental Remediation. I asked if they had any pans that were not scratched and they said those were only type they had. There was also mold growing on the walls. I ended up leaving 2 days early and explained my concerns to management and asked for a refund of the remaining 2 days I would not be there. They did not refund me and could have cared less about any of the concerns I addressed. I contacted Expedia trying to get a refund for the 2 days I did not stay there and was eventually ghosted. This is very overpriced for what it is. I do not think it is worth the money and view properties like this that boast amenities like a gym with no usable equipment to be dishonest and a scam.

The pictures make it look modern, but the hotel room is in horrible condition. Everything is rusted or stained. The toilet seat hinge was broken. The sink faucet sprayed water all over the sink because of the sediment build up. The couch was musty and stained. The only positive was that the bed was comfortable. I regret booking this hotel.

Beautiful beach but very crowded. Spacious room in a single story hotel on a large downtown lot. Staff is excellent. This property is kept very tidy compared to some of the other areas and lots downtown.
