Good position with excellent staff and good choice of restaurants. The only negative was finding ourselves in a room with an adjoining door to an extremely noisy group of other guests. Fortunately this only impacted us on the last day but was it was pretty dreadful and stopped us sleeping.
If you’re a couple I would make sure you are not put into one of these rooms. If I were the hotel I wouldn’t put multiple party people in such a room where the only soundproofing is a thin wooden door.
Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

Rooms are clean and the pool is lovely and spacious and has a small pool bar. Security monitors the entrance and exit to their beach club, which is right on a lovely stretch of beach..

We chose the all-inclusive plan and thoroughly enjoyed their restaurants, Brazilian barbeque and beach club areas. The staff are attentive and the food was on point. My only comment would be that some of the top shelf liquors were not available resulting in an unpleasant tasting drinks.

The resort is beautiful and clean and the staff are all very nice, the beach is beautiful, you do have to walk across a small street to get to it, there are two large pools, one with a swim up bar. There are 3 restaurants plus room service, they do have different options during the week which was a nice surprise, all of the food was very good. Great location, easily walk to restaurants, bars and shopping, 2 things to know, some of the rooms are across from a school, so you may hear kids and some of the rooms are across from Stingray, which can be loud, all the other rooms seem like they would be quiet. The rooms and bathrooms are large and have nice balcony's.

I loved my stay at Privledges, however the culture of saving loungers on beach and not occupying them for several hours is ridiculous. The pool was awesome, the staff, Edwin, Alex, Eduardo, & Samuel top notch! I would highly recommend this resort, all inclusive was the best way for us to go!

We had a parcial ocean view and it was fine for us on the 5th fl. Elevator was slow but better than none. Room always cleaned and plenty of bottled water left. Beach waiters were excellent. Walkways slippery. Alot of people falling in different locations is my complaint. Also the channel has changed and not much room at all to get into the ocean. Had to walk down a couple hotels to enjoy it.

The hotel was under construction while we are there. We had to walk up many flights of stairs and construction was loud. But, our room was gorgeous, the view, bars and restaurants were fabulous. I would stay here again, just not while its being refurbished.

Front desk staff were great and fast. Rooms were very clean and modern, cleaned daily and the room was restocked daily as well. Food and staff was exceptional at all of the restaurants. Even the beach restaurant was above average in menu and quality. Beach was beautiful and is the best on the island. It was great being a small adults only resort right in town but on the beach. Very safe town and very one we met was friendly and helpfull.

We enjoyed everything about our stay and our first visit to the island. The service was top notch. We were welcomed from the moment we stepped out of the car to the moment we left. The resort is well maintained and beautiful. Their beach was gorgeous. The restaurants were beautiful, the food delicious, the servers were wonderful. The resort and our room itself was perfect.
There is a lot of activity on each side of the resort. You can hear extremely loud music playing until the middle of the night, not coming from our resort. We love music, but we were happy we brought our little sound machine with.

The staff here is very great and super friendly!!! Room service was always quick, if you need anything but have to stepping out they would leave it at the front desk for you to pick it up when you got back, food was great! I will definitely be coming back to this resort 10/10!

We had to cut our stay sort by one day, due to our daughters pregnancy. Spoke to the assistant hotel manager about a refund for that day. He said to contact Expedia for authorization and then he would apply my refund for that day. I spoke to him as we were getting in a taxi, and he was entering the hotel. Apparently, he has not responded to Expedias calls to authorize my refund. What a terrible lack of profesional courtesy.

Great friendly staff , loved the beach bar and loungers that lead to the glorious beach of white sand and clear blue sea. The lounge area was quite sheltered on some of the windy days. I also loved the food . and the convenience to the local shopping area. We went all inclusive the last couple days and found it fantastic.

Beautiful island and a great hotel location. Everything is walkable, but it’s still worth renting a golf cart to explore more of the island. Definitely pay extra for the all-inclusive option — even if you plan to spend time off the hotel grounds, it’s worth it.

There aren’t many clubs in the area, but there are plenty of restaurants, and a few play music late into the night. The hotel is adults-only. The staff are kind, and most are bilingual.

Be sure to book your transportation in advance — from the airport to the ferry and then to the hotel. You’ll save a lot of money that way. Also, have some cash on hand; you won’t regret it.

We stayed in a standard room with a balcony facing the street. It’s noisy during the day and quieter at night, but once you fully close the windows, it’s not an issue at all. You’ll sleep comfortably. The beds are big and comfortable, there’s decent closet and storage space, a safe for passports and valuables, yes you will have hot water , and yes room service checks in twice a day.

Overall, I would definitely recommend it.

Great stay - room was spacious and clean, mini-bar re-stocked daily, perfect location with gorgeous beach and steps from bars, restaurants & shops, friendly staff throughout the property, beautiful landscaping, good restaurants on site. The only negative was the bed - it wasn't very comfortable and moved excessively if you just rolled over gently. Everything else was fantastic!
I would definitely recommend this hotel and plan to return in the future.

The room was very clean and the staff was great. The food was also wonderful, typically at an all closer resort. The food is subpar, but this resort had wonderful food! The location of the resort was also amazing! Beaches all around you very walkable to lots of fun, different bars and restaurants as well shopping…. The only downfall about the resort I would say it is very slow. Sitting at the pool, walking around the community. There are no activities. If you were looking for a very quiet resort and just hanging out, this is the place. If you’re looking for stuff going on, I would keep looking. Also, on other side note, the room was huge and really amazing but the bed was not that comfortable and our room was right off the main drive so we could hear music and always until 2 o’clock in the morning.

WOW!! Privilege Aluxes. You hotel was my husbands pick & honestly I didn't know what the expext.
This was our first time here. We'll definitely be back & we miss you already!!
Great room with a king size bed. Great place, very clean, loved the beach & pool area. Staff very friendly, great food on site, no small kids, close to shopping, other restaurants & absolutely lobed that Nobody was trying to push the sell of their time shares on to us.
The only draw back as we did alot of time on the beach throughout the day alot of vendors were coming up to us trying to sell their merchandise.
Having your beach roped off would help prevent this thus allowing your customers the relaxation they came there for.

The staff was very friendly and welcomed us with champagne upon our arrival. The resort is nice and conveniently located within a short walking distance of the downtown area with all the shops, bars, and restaurants. We opted for the all-inclusive option and there were several restaurants as part of the resort to choose from. The food was wonderful especially the breakfast from Playa Norte. We had one complaint that we shared with the front desk which was a bunch of small bugs in the room. We were in building one and our view was of the cemetery and another hotel. In speaking with other guests, they shared that they had issues in building one and got moved to other buildings that were much nicer. I would recommend asking for 4 or 6 based on what we were told.

I had trouble choosing which restaurant to eat at and room service was all we did for the first 24 hours being tired from travelling. Aluxes is our go-to place to stay on Isla. Best bang for the dollar.

Upon checking in, there was no one to greet us due to lobby renovations (which we were not warned about in advance and created a very hectic experience). On checking into the room, it had the strongest smell of mildew of any place we have ever stayed, and we could not stay for health reasons. We found other island accommodations, but the hotel declined to refund any money for the nights we didn't use. We were disappointed by our experience here.

We love staying at Privilege Aluxes in Isla Mujares! The beach is beautiful, the pool and grounds are relaxing and great, the rooms are immaculately clean and the staff is very friendly and attentive. We learned that many guests continue to come back year after year - because it is such a lovely place! Although you can choose an affordable all inclusive option (or just go with the included breakfast - which I highly recommend eating on the beautiful beach) it’s a small resort so the atmosphere is very mellow and relaxing and not the typically overcrowded all inclusive experience. Huge shout out to Andres and Jesus who took great care of us and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable and luxurious. We will be back. Ty!
