This is a typically tight hotel room in NYC. It was well-appointed and had all the basics covered -- comfortable bed, clean room, mini-fridge. But the elevator could be heard squeaking up and down at all times (had to ask for ear plugs and ran white noise on my computer to get to sleep) and there was a random $30 \"destination fee\" that was not acknowledged by Expedia or the hotel until it showed up on my portfolio upon checkout.

Room was as shown on the website however lacking in table surfaces for personal items.Ironing board became our entry console! Luggage racks were necessary to use, as our suitcase was our “drawer”. Beds comfy and room was quiet. Breakfast was excellent and staff super helpful and friendly. We would stay here again for a midtown location.

The staff at the Grayson is amazing! Our server for breakfast gave us all the info on places to go, which subway train to take and where to eat for our day out. There was a driver waiting to take us to the airport. The room was clean, comfortable bed, and great view of the city. We will definitely be back again.

Great location! Super fast elevators! Tremendous views from rooftop bar! Room was nice and modern but the mattress was hard, lumpy and the linens, towels, and complimentary robe were all stiff and quite scratchy. A bit of fabric softener would go a long way. Reception staff was pleasant and helpful but we had trouble receiving the items we requested. We asked for non-feather pillows (on their list of available items) and it took 2 days to receive them. Also asked for 3 sets of towels but only received bath towels. Ordered room service once and the BLT toast was burnt, actually black on both sides. Picked up from the restaurant once but the risotto was so salty it was not edible. Also the cubby areas behind both bars were literally caked in dust and grime. Frankly, I expected more from a hotel in the Hyatt family.

Elevators are terrible and simply can't cope with the amount of guests meaning you can spend an unreasonable amount of time to get to your room. One of the staff was quite rude to me and for no reason. Room service was mediocre.

The room was clean and the location is great, but I won't be staying here again.

It was the least comfortable bed I’ve slept in at a hotel, and my back hurts so much from my stay. The room was so small you could barely get around. The drawers were cheap cloth cubbies in a cheap shelf likely bought off amazon that belonged more in a freshman dorm room than a hotel. I regret having booked through Expedia because I wasn’t able to change hotels after my first night and had to endure 9 nights.

The staff was kind and the location was good. But I will not be staying here again.

Only one working elevator for a busy weekend in NYC in a building with almost 30 floors is a problem. Not even complimentary water is ridiculous at $500/ night is wrong. Unfinished concrete ceiliwere out of place with the deck and made it feel like we were sleeping under a highway overpass. On the bright side, the room was quiet and location was excellent.

Our stay at The Grayson Hotel was simply outstanding in every respect. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive to guests. The rooms were very well appointed and very fashionable. The buffet breakfast was amazing. The rooftop lounge provided a wonderful view and made amazing cocktails. The midtown location near beautiful Bryant Park was extremely convenient. There was a small resort fee with our reservation but received a bonus room credit which also included breakfast, such a great value in a four-star hotel of premium quality. What more can I say other than the Grayson hotel made our trip a delightful short stay and we will definitely be back. My gratitude to the staff who made this my favorite NYC hotel experience in decades if not ever. Cheers!!

The service was exceptional, the area was amazing with tons of restaurants all around. The hotel was beautiful. The restaurant downstairs was delicious. My only regret is my husband has a fear of height's so we did not go to the bar on the rooftop.
