The location was in close proximity to the Lansdowne Theatre. The court yard is beautiful. The rooms were basic and beds were comfortable. The coffee machine was not clean, the sink was filthy and there were mice and rat traps all over the property eluding to a rodent problem.
With a little more effort this could be a very nice location. I would not stay there again.

The pictures show an updated facility… and it is/was. But it hasn’t been maintained and it is not clean. Smoke detectors removed, hair in the bathroom, shower curtain rod so, so rusty and shower curtain was gross, faucet water smelled like iron- I had to ask for a bottle of water to brush my teeth because there also is no beverage vending machine. My key didn’t work when I got there, but the door was already open. Common areas very dirty, especially the carpets. I was staying for one quick night, so I endured, but I will not return.

I got to check in after leaving a concert and they gave my room away causing me to have no where to stay for the night. The guy at the front desk said that he could book me for the next day instead and asked for my name and that was it. When we asked him if he needed my phone number or email or card number he acted confused and said he didn’t understand. I will never try and stay here again. Very disappointed and it ruined my weekend.

Property needs renovations and some modernizing. There was no iron in my room and when I went to the front desk to ask, the front desk clerk just brushed it off about it not being one no where in the hotel for me to use. There was no hot water in the bathroom sink.

I reserved two rooms for the Roots Picnic. The rooms and hotel were clean. There were no towels or coffee in one room. No biggie but this and the lack of blackout curtains are the reason for the 4 rating. The lights of the outside courtyard and the sun coming up light up the entire room even with the curtains closed.

We were told at checkin that the property was pet and smoking free. When we got to our room there was dog food on the floor and in the ice bucket. OOPS, pet free ...don't think so! A couple of times we headed toward the elevator and smelled like somebody had recently been smoking pot... Our room OBVIOUSLY, was not cleaned fully! Hey, the bed was comfortable!

nice decor, but a little rundown. Clean. Staff was helpful and professional. Easy and free parking and good location. Good value for the money. Could do better with details: nice big screen in room, but something wrong with display so all channels looked fuzzy. Had microwave and minifridge which was nice. Coffeemaker in room, but no coffee. body wash dispenser in shower didn't work. Shampoo and soap provided, but no conditioner. No closet in room. No blackout curtains so there was some light in room from well lit courtyard all night. Bedding and towels was clean but weathered.

Don't go there. The place is mot clean. The staff is not helpful. The outside property is undergoing what looks like a slow renovation. The rooms dont feel clean. There are no blackout curtains in the room and they leave the lights in the courtyard on all night. The tv was fuzzy and when asked them to repair it they ignored me.

Room was a nice size and bed was comfortable. The TV was low def -as in 1994 low def. Bathrooms were beyond filthy and smelled like cat pee. Had one pillow case that looked like a dog had it’s way with it. No breakfast—had a coffee machine in the lobby that was not in operation. Staff was very pleasant but next time I will spend more for a nicer place probably.

This place was definitely previously or still is a crack house. They had TAPE on the drawers instead of knobs…. The shower had terrible pressure and smelt. The carpet is peeling on the stairs. The decorations or horrendous and cheap. The decorations literally look like they were bought at party city or dollar general. It seems this property was bought and just opened without proper renovations. I genuinely want my money back. It was DISGUSTING. If it wasn’t PGA weekend and I could have found another hotel in the area I would have and I looked. However, I do give the marketing person credit, because we were fooled 100%.

Our room was filthy. Floors were covered in prior guest debris and hair. No towels, soap, pillows when we first arrived, but a call downstairs got those items quickly. It looked like our room wasn't ready for occupancy, no clock, hangers, extra lock on door. No blackout curtains, so at night, room was too lit up from outside lights.

I planned our stay for our Golf themed weekend and was excited when we walked in the lobby. Gradually that excitement turned to disappointment as we were led to our room. We took the stained stairs to our 3rd floor room, I made the comment “that the smell reminds me of weekends at Wildwood NJ.” take that as you will. We were lead down the hallway that looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in weeks which only heightened my anxiety for the room. We entered the room, it was pleasant until I started looking around. The room appeared not to have been cleaned thoroughly, as there were tight curly hairs left behind on the bed, in between the sheets. The pillows were as thick as sheets of paper and the mattress sucked. The bathroom was another story. The shower curtain had red mildew, there was something on the shower wall, the soap dispenser didn’t work, the shower plate behind the handle was coming off the wall so that I could see INTO the wall and again HAIR EVERYWHERE. There were no hooks to hang towels or toiletries bag.So why did I stay?!? It was PGA Championship weekend and everything was booked otherwise I would have left. I didn’t take photos because I didn’t know if I was going to write a review.

The Golfers Inn had very few amenities available for guests. I had no coffee machine in room but I had coffee packets. When I asked about it, I got one but no cream and sweeteners. Microwave was missing the rotating plate. But the big issue was that they had no laundry room. I was staying for several days and had no means to wash my clothes without finding a laundromat. The bathroom was clean and upgraded.

I visit the Philly area every few months and this hotel is always competitively priced. So this time I took the plunge and stayed. I won't be doing it again. The hotel is pretty threadbare, and it looks like the owners are running the asset down with minimal investment. Curtains did not block the outside light, bathroom was worn. I guess you get what you pay for.

For this to be a newly renovated hotel, the look was subpar. The layout of the room leaves much to be desired. As soon as the for opens you are net with a small area to place your bags then immediately the desk and chair are there impeding the walkway. Directly next to that is the dresser. The bedding is of the lowest quality I've ever experienced the pillows look like they are from the prior owner. I booked a room for 2 adults. I was not given the proper amount of towels. I called the front desk and they never brought the other towel. We had to go get it ourselves. The temperature of the room was not able to be controlled. On our second day the front desk staff gave me a disgusted look while demanding my room number as I was exiting while taking a phone call which could be a safety concern.

Second stay there, first time was nice, this time was disappointing. The cleanliness of the common areas (with exception of the lobby, and the room were below par (no pun intended).
The biggest problem was the noise and commotion in the courtyard AND in the hallways on both Friday and Saturday. From 11:00 PM on there was a lot of yelling and arguing throughout the property. The noise continued throughout until nearly 3:00 AM. It escalated into loud arguments and fighting from 12:30-3:09 AM. It moved into the building where there was banging on doors on the third floor where apparently people were locking others out of the rooms. A couple times I was close to calling the police because things were getting out of control.

I would not recommend staying at The Golfers Inn. Our experience on 5/07/26 was very disappointing. The staff was rude and unprofessional, and the rooms were extremely dirty. We found hair and dirt in the bed, which made it obvious the sheets had not been properly changed.

We asked for another room, but the second room was dirty as well. Room 228 had a broken bathroom door, and cigarette smoke was coming through the vents the entire time. The overall condition of the property felt unsanitary and poorly maintained.

This place seriously needs better management, proper cleaning, and major improvements before guests should consider staying here. Be warned.

Booked this place in the basis of solid reviews of Expedia. Upon entering looked like place could use an update.

Heard some rustling at night. Woke up next morning to see a mouse had gotten into a sealed chocolate bar.

Bathroom still had an opened bar of soap in shower and two bobby pins on the floor.

Lighting outside of window was bright and blinds barely blocked it.

Smoke detector was covered, presumably by previous occupants and I only noticed on the way out.

One of the pillows had no sheets.

TV was very fuzzy, hard to watch.

Fridge didn't work.

Bathroom door got stuck and was hard to get out of.

After leaving I read some pretty negative reviews about other seeing bedbugs. While I did not see any. As a precaution I now have all my cloths in dryer.

On a positive note, the bed was decent and there was no noise.

There was a MOUSE in my room! I saw it several times as I decided to leave the light on for the rest of the night. It was late at night so I didn't inform the front desk until the next morning - changing rooms will not correct an infestation problem and it was too late to change hotels. The front dest REFUSED to give me a refund.

First of all, I saw a MOUSE in my room - several times. It was late at night so I didn't bother to tell the front desk until the morning. Changing rooms does not solve a mouse problem and it was too late to find another hotel. Secondly, the windows don't open and the room was rather stuffy. Lastly, the overall decor is, shall we say, disjointed. It was rated 7.8, however, I would give it a 6.5.

This could be a great, quirky boutique hotel but it is currently let down by a lack of investment and sloppy management. The courtyard and structure is fantastic but the lobby and front entrance are poor/drab. The rooms are clean but the public areas are dirty. Get it clean and carry on the courtyard character to thre lobby and it would be so much better

The rooms were filthy with feces stuck on the toilet seats. Crumbs were left on the tables and the outside walking area had trash on the floor which looked to be there for a long period of time. I do not recommend staying there and left after viewing the room for 5 mins.

Someone here clearly used bots to gain a 5 star rating when I booked. I showed up and it looked like no one had vacuumed the halls during the last month. I watched a worker at the \"inn\" roll a piece of candy from the middle of the hall to the edge of the hall.
After realizing I had been duped, I started checking the room for bed bugs since there were reports of bed bugs there 6 months prior, and found instead what looked like vomit on the box spring cover. I took a picture, asked for a refund, but of course, I made the mistake of booking through a third party, so I was moved to another room.
Then the staff came back and asked me where I found the mess on the box spring and asked if I would walk across the hotel to show them. I don't know if they had switched out the box spring cover, or just couldn't find it, but I showed them the picture and told them again which corner. I don't know that I've stayed in a dirtier hotel since I was like 20. Disgusting. Done booking third party as well since I couldn't get anyone from this site on the phone to rectify the situation.
Awful hotel. check the other reviews for videos of mice in rooms.

We arrived in Philadelphia around 11 PM and checked into the hotel. Right from the start, the experience was disappointing—the lobby smelled strongly of tobacco and marijuana, despite the hotel being advertised as a non-smoking environment.

When we entered the room, it was honestly shocking. I have never seen a place so dirty. The carpets were covered in dirt and looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. The bed sheets did not appear clean and had a strong musty smell.

As for the bathroom, it was in such poor condition that I didn’t even feel comfortable using it normally.

If you are traveling with your family, I strongly recommend avoiding this place. It was an extremely unpleasant experience from beginning to end.

I had a very relaxing stay at The Golfers Inn. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable, making it easy to rest. I really enjoyed the morning coffee, which was a nice start to the day.
