The staff were almost uniformly unfriendly and unhelpful. The place was shabby. The only good thing is the location and the rooms are large. Our heater broke and it was in the 20’s outside. The maintenance man asked if we wanted some extra blankets! Then to get another room we had to go downstairs to get a key.

Car valet staff does not answer the phone when you call them. It takes at least 20 minutes to get through to them, which is unacceptable. This is the second time I’ve had this issue with them and as many stays at your hotel.

The room was dated and the hall partly torn up. The staff would start banging doors at 6:30 am, talking loudly, and COOKING food in the room adjacent to ours. It was like trying to sleep in a fry kitchen. It only stopped the day we left because I complained to the front desk. The cooking- not the rest. Housekeeping never came to our room because we weren’t out before 8:30 am. No towels no fresh cups no garbage pick up. The lobby is nice and the location. But would not stay again. I’ve never had a room that reeked of cooking oil.

The hotel, while sporting a cute and modern lobby, was a disaster. It’s not clean. The hallways were a mess and needed to be vacuumed. The mattresses— super uncomfy. The sheets and blanket and pillows- not comfortable. The gym— 1/5 treadmills worked and the water cooler was empty. Truly disappointed in our stay.

Relaxing stay in Philly

The Warwick is located in the Rittenhouse Square area, making it accessible for using public transportation or walking to the various landmarks in the city or University of Pennsylvania. The hotel staff was extremely nice and helpful. The hotel itself needs some love and attention. The room we stayed in needs painting, the plumbing both toilet and tub drained slowly. The carpet in the room was very worn and imbedded with dirt. The gym is very well equipped but several pieces of equipment were out of order. There are signs in the lobby indicating that there are renovations planned for 2026. I hope they keep the ambiance but upgrade the worn parts of this fine hotel.

This property was not good value for spend. The deluxe room had peeling paint, dilapidated furniture, broken phone, A/C that seemed to be \"feast or famine\" despite hot August evening, no exhaust fan in bathroom/shower. I could go on and on. This property is in need of work. The staff was great- friendly, helpful, and professional. The room was a 'suite', but was missing furniture where a desk or sofa should be. the door would not lock and the night lock was broken. The furniture that was in the room was extremely worn out and belonged in a Goodwill store.

Staffing shortages and renovations may be impacting this hotel at this time. We were happy with our stay overall, but the wait time for service was longer than I expect. Also the room shortage caused for using rooms that were not on par with the location, but at least the rooms were clean. In our rooms, we did not have garbage cans or working lights in one of the bathrooms.

The Motel 6 of Marriotts

Horrible stay at the Warwick, which is now trying to be a Marriott. It started with a phone call to tell the hotel we would be late by possibly a day because of a cancelled flight. After about an hour and a half of trying to get in contact with them I finally got through. We arrived the next day around 2pm to be told our room wasn't ready. But we prepaid for our room, and we were a day late, so what happened to our room? The staff was baffled. Also, I found out why I had so much trouble getting a hold of them the day before, when the phone rings too much they just take the phones off the hook. Excellent customer service. So we come back to the hotel around 5pm, to find our room still wan't ready, and now there was a line of people who also had rooms that weren't ready. \"Everyone calm down,\" was all the receptionist would tell us. Now the room... lackluster. The bed was hard, the carpet was old, the bathroom was very small. No mini-bar, no complementary water, the shower had bar soap and cheap shampoo and conditioner. This hotel wants to be a Marriott, has the logo up in the lobby, but don't be fooled. The customer service alone wouldn't stand up to the service you get at a Motel 6. Stay elsewhere if you can!

Extremely disappointing experience room booked with hotels.com showed up at the hotel to check in and told that they were overbooked waited three hours for them to accommodate in another hotel unsuccessfully. Six other families were waiting were forced to look for a hotel walking the streets of Philadelphia at 1 AM in the morning.looking for a room

To start, the front desk staff was always friendly and professional. However, from there things got progressively worse. Firstly, checking in took 45 minutes and I was fourth in line. By the time I got my room key , the check in line was all the way to the front entrance/ revolving door. Next I was told housekeeping was every other day. The day for the first room cleaning didn’t take place until 5:45 pm and there was no bar soap or shampoo left for our use. Two days later, the cleaning staff didn’t come at all spite of me calling the front desk to remind them AND going down to the front desk to remind them to make sure we were on the list— I saw the staff person write my room number down. The bathroom had urine stains on the floor around the toilet as well as peeling paint on the ceiling and rusty sink legs.Overall, not a pleasant stay.

Staff is outstanding. Room smelled like too much carpet cleaner. The carpet smells very chemical. Room 529. Left windows open the entire stay and a/c on. Smell would wake me up and irritated my lungs. Alternate room offered smelled of bleach! Security guard smelled it before me. Bleach is a known carcinogen, but it is cheap. There are non toxic cleaners available to you that better hotels use so that your room is odor free. It’s unconscionable that you would have your staff using toxic carcinogenic products. I’m tired of hotels that smell bad. I shouldn’t have to pay $500+ per night to get a fresh smelling hotel room. Covid is not a pandemic anymore. You don’t need to be washing everything down with bleach and other stinky chemicals. The restaurant and bar were a great buy with good food. Again, your staff is well trained and just terrific. Keep it that way.

My husband went down to front desk and asked for the sheets, they said they were on their way. We waiting and again nothing was brought to our room. The hotel was in Center City so getting around was easy. Unfortunately the amenities in the hotel were lacking. The phone did not work (Reception claimed the phones were being upgraded), not all channels were available with some choppy and others getting an \"Unavailable\" message and while we were given a wifi password, it did not work. When I asked at reception, I was again told the problem was that the wifi was being upgraded and to use the unsecure network.

The hotel needs a major renovation. The drawers when opening came off, the bathroom was very dated and the trash can rusted. The desk chair was so worn out it was horrible. The outlets barely held your charger. The ice machine right next to us was broken with pealing paint and a bucket holding it up. For the money we spent I expected a lot more.

Hotel is misleading ! Looks great feom the outside and the lobby area, but the rooms are very old and carpet in rooms are dirty! You would think the receptionist would know the condition of ALL rooms, i drove up feom Washington DC to be checked in late into a HORRIBLE ROOM! I WILL NEVER PATRONIZE THIS HOTEL AGAIN, and please consider many of the other area hotels in the immeadiate area. Bathroom shower looked like something out of a 'Prison Movie', rust and wallpaper was coming off the wall. I was pissed and immeadiately asked to change rooms. The room switch was easy no questions were asked which was yet another red flag--this must happen frequently at this peoperty! The room i was switched to was a bit better, but not by much! Toyally disappointed, was counting on a great stay away from home! NEVER EVER AGAIN WILL I EVER DO THIS CHAIN AGAIN! The only 'silver - lining' relayed to the trip was Dave the doorman! Other staff members were ATROCIOUS. A seasoned hotel needs a seasoned staff! Sub-par everything at this price point ! I checked in on Friday March 29th 2025

I have stayed at this hotel and liked it enough to come back. This time our air conditioning was broken and they couldnt fix it. They moved us to a king size bed room but it was me and my friend, so sharing a bed was not ideal. Additionally, there was no hand towels in the room or any extras such as a shower cap. There was not even an apology about having to switch our rooms or any kind of compensation offered. I would have been happy with a free water. This change of rooms ended up taking a while and just sort of put a damper on our night.

Slovenly housekeeping and maintenance is very uninviting. There was no ice. Reception behaves as though your arrival is interrupting their internet surfing. No eye-contact, no welcome emanates from reception. Valets do not take your luggage from you car or see you to your room. No directions are given for finding your room. My room had no security. Lock on door was broken. Toilet ran continuously and had a non-functioning flush-handle. This hotel is a disgrace to the name Warwick.

We love the Warwick Hotel. Unfortunately, the hotel is just worn out and needs better maintenance. The room has peeling wall paper and the legs at the sink are all rusty and corroded. They got all the big things right - spotless room and bathroom, comfortable bed, good heat and air, bathroom was in good working order. But housekeeping was off, only supplying us with one towel for two people, and it took almost two hours to get more towels. Not good.

I arrived to no hot water; desk person explained the building turned off the water briefly—no problem. He directed me to expedite its return by turning on both the tub and sink taps. I did this and took a call, returning 5-6 min later to find the bathroom floor covered in a 1/2 inch of water. The swallow sink overflows *very* quickly. I cleaned up immediately and called the front desk and housekeeping several times, neither answering, to replace towels.

At one point, I forgot my room key. The evening desk person took a L-O-N-G time processing one check-in. Then, one of the valets jumped in front of me to ask about a guest who left a $20 cash tip. He wasn't clear if it was intentional. His honestly was admirable, but the two went back and forth for a solid 7-8 minutes with me and two other guests waiting on help.

Housekeeping knocks about 9:45-10AM to get into the rooms, unless you put out the sign. After my first night, I was going to have meetings much of afternoon from my room, I told them I could only give a short window before this started. They turned service very quickly and was well done, when I returned like 20 minutes later. Bravo.

The room condition was generally clean but shabby. Linens are basic quality; one sheet had makeup stains on the end.

They use disposable trays in the coffeemaker to hold the filters (not an \"espresso maker\" as billed in room grade). The tray was removed after my first night, so I couldn't brew the second morning.
