This is the cleanest budget hotel I have had the pleasure of staying in. I even checked the picture frames out of curiosity. Firm & soft pillows marked on the beds. The breakfast was good and plentiful. Outstanding coffee. Fully accessible, including the parking garage and the breakfast area.

The front desk staff were helpful and friendly. They made us feel welcome and were very personable. The room was clean and we appreciated that there were liquid soaps, including a hand wash. However, the parking garage smelled of urine. And the bathroom in the room was very small with the toilet paper dispenser in a weird location.

Room was in good condition. I requested a handicap accessible room. There was a roll in shower. The seat was too slippery to sit on. The grab bar was too far away from the seat. The sink was too high which was far to reach. So I couldn't see myself in the mirror. Rugs are too hard to move on with a wheelchair. The mattresses where so soft I couldn't move. The toilet was a regular toilet and not a raised toilet. I was not told pillows were firm or soft. Also I wasn't told where the ice bucket, Kleenex and other accessories were. Found them after cleaning person came in. Staff was exceptionally good. Checking in and out and when I needed something. The cleaning girl was very good. Really other than a few grab bars and a roll in shower this room was not handicap accessible.

The room was nice!!! Bathrooms are a bit small but nothing I couldn’t handle. My shower was steamy with a small room so that’s great lol. The staff were super helpful. Kevin called and told me there was an issue with the AC/heat in my room and offered to change my room for me. I declined only because I was coming from upstate NY where it’s cold and coming back to Philadelphia was a treat because the weather was so much warmer than upstate NY. But I do love that he gave me that heads up. Give that man a raise lol!

Absolutely not soundproof adjoining rooms. Keep that in mind if you want to get sleep. Hearing both sides of a speakerphone conversation that sounded like it was pressed against our door in the middle of the night for hours makes for a pretty disrespectful guest at any hotel.

Great views, clean rooms, tasty breakfast, staff were genuinely happy to make sure the checkin process went smoothly. The hotel should not be faulted for our noisy neighbors but it really was the most disappointing thing after a long day in the city.

We had an amazing stay at the Holiday Inn midtown! The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. (thanks for making us feel welcome, Pam!) They were quick to get us anything we needed and had great recommendations for local spots. Everything was exceptionally clean and well stocked. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay and we’ll be staying here again next time we’re in town!

The staff was great but when we checked in our room door was open there were no sheets on the bed the pillows were all in the chair. Then when me and my fiance went to complain they gave us another room which was literally the room right across from our first one. That room too the door was open and there were no covers on the bed either but the pillows were on the bed. So we went to complain to the manager she said she will try and give us a discount or at least a refund I'm not 100% sure if she did or not because I don't know if it went through. She was understanding though which was good and the receptionists were very helpful.

The walls of the rooms are so paper thin you can literally hear your neighbours conversations and every word they say. I asked to move a room so thru accommodated. They then put a known to them regular right next door to me who had a party and boom box. I asked to move again and they moved me to a different room but when my child and I went to that new room we realized it was dirty. Both beds were messed and used cups were on counters and the tub had a pile of used towels. I do not feel the main staff who “helped” me to we being genuine. In fact, it felt like he was messing with me. Expedia had to advocate on my behalf to get a refund for the reminder of my stay since after being moved to a dirty room I needed to move hotels. I’ll never stay at this hotel again. The new hotel had sympathy for my child and I and gave us complimentary breakfast and appetizers for the duration of our stay.

Check in was fine. Staff were the best part of the stay. Polite, responsive, and this includes every level of staff except one parking attendant.

When we checked into to our reserved smoke free room for two days we had to sign an agreement to not smoke otherwise we agreed we may incur charges for cleaning. When we entered the room we were immediately hit with a wall of heavy, dank, stale smell of cigarette smoke. The front desk said they could perhaps move us to another room tomorrow.

We were busy with wedding stuff so not much time to deal with this. Then we found the air conditioner was not working. The room was warm that night. Maintenance came to check it and said the air conditioners do not work well when outside temperature is below a certain amount. It was in the 50's outside. But, an enclosed hotel room with large windows will get stuffy and warm. And, is that really how air conditioners work?

The next day, wedding day, we got to pack up our stuff and carry it like homeless folks to a new floor. A room that smelled like a hotel room. Better.

My compensation as an IHG member for this? A terrific thank you for staying at Holiday Inn Express.

Is it worth about $800 to stay in a Smokey, warm hotel room for one night then pack up to move to another room for one night? I'd have to say no. I think that's a reasonable conclusion.

Holiday Inn Express in Midtown Philly amenities are highway motel level. And that's OK

This hotel is absolutely wonderful! It's an excellent location, the staff were all friendly and welcoming, and the room was clean and comfortable. I was a solo traveler arriving late at night and felt safe and at ease during my whole stay. I would stay here again any time and would gladly recommend this location to friends and family.

The room was fine but internet was weak for a large hotel. Could not keep signal. The parking garage was a horrible experience. It costs 39.99 a day to park after paying$1000 for the room and fees. With that, parking was still difficult because the garage is extremely small and even after being forced to pay, vspots were not open

Staff was friendly upon check in, we stayed one night just 2 people my daughter & I got Billie Eilish concert. We liked the clean room a lot, comfy beds, definitely a nicer hotel. The city was crazy & we felt safe. We didn’t like that they woke us up knocking so early at 8 am for housekeeping the again a bit before 11am checkout. We were only staying 1 night don’t need housekeeping nor to be woken up that early so that was not necessary & a bit annoying so next time we will tell them in advance not to do that. We chose to sleep over having free breakfast wish it was open until 11:30am instead of 10:30 since we had to checkout at 11am. USB slot on lamp and desk was helpful when our charger stopped working lol had a city view window on floor 8 was cool with elevator close by. Had a pool too but closed for season. Deep soaking bathtub super clean & dove soaps which 1 of them the pump was broken so couldn’t use the conditioner. We had backup of our own. Parking on site was fine no issues. Overall a great stay we even rode the underground subway to and from the concert to xfinity mobile arena which was scary at first but actually pretty fun and fast! Beats driving in that crazy city traffic! Overall the city was so cool and homos pizza nearby was open late and sooo good!! Convince store close by for all your forgotten needs like a charger food snacks drinks etc. can’t wait to stay again! Recommend!

Convenient to Jefferson. Property is a bit dated and showing its age. Staff are great. One issue was that I needed a parking receipt to get out of the garage that wasted some time.
