Fantastic location for touring all the historic sights! We walked everywhere and the area is safe and beautiful. Our king room was sufficient with a nice bathroom. Elevators were quick. Front desk staff great! Some one off things like garbage that hung around hallways too long. Front door valet staff is pretty disinterested and on their phones most time.

Staff were very kind. Room was a little small, but clean and well maintained. The location is great - it's near many museums, the Liberty Bell, and the Independence Hall. Very walkable. The restaurant downstairs has great food and drinks. The hotel staff were very accommodating. We will come back to stay if we are ever in Philly again!

Check in was seamless. We were given food and drink vouchers for the hotel restaurant. Elevator requires key access, which gave us a sense of security. The room had all the typical amenities. Shower was comfortable with good water pressure. The bed and bedding were super comfortable. We caught a red eye flight to Philly and were really thankful for a great night’s sleep. The room is very quiet. Had a very nice sit-down, restaurant-quality breakfast with the food vouchers and only owed $8 for two people. We then walked across the street to check out Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. Unbeatable location. Right before checking out, we stopped by the bar and each got an artisan drink and a croissant with the drink voucher. Service was great at every turn. Definitely good CP value. Highly recommend.

We met Adam the first night and he showed us the wine cellar and the 2 event rooms they have downstairs. He introduced us to his wine manager who was very gracious and gifted us a bottle of wine we liked at their 5pm social hour the next day. The front desk was also friendly and helpful. The only minus is there’s no on site parking so it gets pretty chaotic when multiple people are at the valet desk. The great location and friendly staff are enough to keep us coming back.

We had a lovely room with a king bed on the fifth floor overlooking Liberty Bell park. Parking was easy, right around the corner. We arrived just in time to get a nice glass of wine at happy hour in the lobby, which we took up to our room. Perfect location for an overnight visit!

The Kimpton Hotel Monaco is an excellent choice while visiting Philladelphia. The hotel was right next to the Independence mall with lots of great historic places to visit. My room had a view of Independence Hall and I loved it. Red Owl Tavern serves a great breakfast and you can enter right from the hotel. Lots of good walking tours in the area. Highly recommend.

We particularly liked the breakfast every morning and the happy hour from 5-6. The staff was extremely responsive. We would definitely stay here again particularly for the proximity to the Philly sites. The Visitor's Center, Independence Hall and Liberty Bell are within a block or two. Thanks for a great stay.

A bit of mold in the shower. Toilet has stains. Simple request took a while even though the initial response was “we’ll have it right up.” Housekeeping rest the room but didn’t leave enough washcloths. Room was attractive, you could tell is was remodeled. $8 for water is ridiculous. I don’t care how “sustainable,” it is. Check in and out was seamless. Appreciated the courtesy breakfast voucher. AC worked well. Had to call someone to fix the toilet, both bathroom sink knobs were hot water. Decent for a 4star in a big city I guess.

Perfect for walking to see historic sites. And if you’re up for getting steps in, the walk to Reading Terminal Market and the Art Museum is very doable.

I appreciate that they held onto the luggage after checkout so I could see a bit more of the area.

The coffee service in the morning was nice, but you may not get any if you arrive too close to 9am. I was not there for wine service.

The music in the lobby (and elevators) is a bit loud, as if to discourage lounging.

We had 2 queen beds with a park view. The room was great and the beds luxurious.

We opted for no cleaning service for 3 nights. This came with a $10 food credit. So, my son could have the $8 water bottle that the room tempts guests with. At the nightly rate, that should just be given to each guest at least once. In other words, the hotel is expensive, especially on weekends.

Love this hotel– it's my new go-to in Philly, and I've stayed at all the higher end spots over the years. Cheap parking on the same block, really nice rooms with a good chill artsy vibe, the attached restaurant is great and has traveler-friendly hours (aka it's open on Sunday night!).

We were on the 10th floor near the bar and night club.
That was loud on Saturday night and and Sunday . But Sunday festivities were over by 8:30.

The hotel is in a perfect location in Old City and very walkable. Lots of Historical site to see and places to eat. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

This hotel was fantastic in every way. Location suited our needs perfectly, as we wanted to explore all the history in the Old City. Staff was friendly and efficient. Our room was good for us. Only complaint is that the safe was high up in the closet which was hard for me, but I managed. Great restaurants close by. Would definitely stay there again.

The breakfast comes from the Red Owl Restaurant which is on the corner of the property. It’s in a beautiful location directly across the street from the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall in a historic building. Elevators were readily available, accessible to multiple green areas. Valet Parking was tricky when there is significant traffic congestion and so little confused on what to do at first. But you can “park” for Valet on either side of the corner without concern just finding an attendant was a bit tricky since a little understaffed for the influx all at once. Beautiful hotel. As for pet friendliness, they do provide

This hotel is designed in a maximalist style: bold, colorful prints, regency inspired mirrors and furniture and lots of contrasts. The rooms are spacious and well appointed and have huge closets. Was not able too explore the rooftop as it was being used for a corporate event during my stay. Breakfast at the Red Owl Tavern was good and valet parking is available for $70/night.
Only issue we had was one day we put the Do Not Disturb sign out at 8 am and then removed it at 11:30 am. We left the room at 12:30 and came back at 6:20 pm and it still had not been cleaned or made. When I called the front desk I was told that housekeeping had left for the day and they could not make the beds or clean it - could just empty trash and drop off clean towels. Was told if you put the DND sign out in the early morning it gets marked off for the rest of the day.

The Kimpton Philadelphia was in a much better location, in my opinion, than the Ritz Carlton, that was also an option for me. Since I'm from NYC, I wanted a quiet neighborhood. The location was great and walking distance to anywhere i wanted to go. it's also excellent for families with kids. At the front desk and reception, Consuela was amazing. She has great customer service, she is friendly, and she is perfect to be promoted to a managerial role. I would recommend her any day to be promoted. There is another staff member namd Kevin that was a problem solver, friendly and customer oriented. I would recommend that he get promoted to a manager role or corporate role because, in my opinon, he would be a perfect fit and a valuable asset to the brand. Don't lose these two talented people, elevate them .

I recently stayed at the Kimpton Hotel in Philadelphia and had an excellent experience from start to finish. The hotel strikes a perfect balance between modern style and cozy comfort. The location was perfect, rooms were decorated very stylish and clean. The shower design is the only issue I have, with a partial glass wall that requires you to reachnin to turn on the shower.

You then get hit with cold water until you can adjust the temperature correctly, but also the water flys out the back onto the floor, door and outside carpet. While aesthetic, poorly designed.

On check in was informed we got an upgrade but that was not the case. We had breakfast included but at check in they failed to give us the vouchers we needed for the breakfast. And was only for $27 per person. No complimentary water in room. Saw a cockroach in the ladies toilets on the lower ground floor. The roof bar was not available when we arrived and was closed Sunday night. For anyone booking please be aware that the liberty bell will ring hourly from 5am and you will hear it!

I recently stayed at this property to attend a couple of concerts in Philadelphia. The hotel was in a perfect location with nearby tourist attractions and plenty of restaurants within walking distance. It was also midway between both of the venues that I was attending so that was also a plus. I love the rooms. They were very spacious very comfortable bed the beautiful room. The only downside was that the comforter had a stain on it and I alerted the front desk and they it them almost the whole day to send someone one up to clean the room. But that wouldn’t necessarily stop me from staying there again because I loved the room and the location of the hotel.
