We found the property to be shabby - the lobby was cramped, and felt run down. Our room was pretty beat up; the mirror in the bathroom was bashed, there was a chunk out of the bathroom show tile, a mouse ran across the room and darted under the refrigerator in the room. The hallway had linoleum flooring that was meant to look like wood, but was coming up all over the place and made for an opportunity to trip if you didn't watch your step.

(There was also a dead cockroach in hallway, but the bedbugs were the dominant factor. I'm terrified some eggs will stick to my clothes and infect my home....will need to undress in the garage and go straight to washing machine!)

I recently stayed at this hotel while I was in town because a family member was hospitalized. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing.

When I first arrived and checked in, I immediately noticed there was a leak in the ceiling in the lobby. After an already stressful day dealing with my family situation, this was not a great first impression.

The first night I was so exhausted and overwhelmed that I didn’t really inspect the room. I left early the next morning and didn’t return until later that night. Once I had time to actually look around, I was shocked at the condition of the hotel.

The hallway on my floor had flooring that was literally coming up, which looked unsafe and poorly maintained. Inside my room, things only got worse. I found a clump of hair in the shower, which made me question how well the room had been cleaned. The carpet in the room was uneven and felt like it hadn’t been properly installed or maintained.

There were also multiple damaged items in the room. The blinds were broken, the bed skirt was ripped, and even the garment bag provided in the closet was torn. It felt like the room had not been maintained or inspected in a long time.

Given the circumstances of my trip, I really needed a clean, comfortable place to rest, and unfortunately this hotel did not provide that. The condition of both the common areas and the room itself was very disappointing.

never accidently left anything in the hotel. I left my expansive charge in the hotel. I called next day, they told me they did not find anything. I am very sure i forget to unplug my charger and it was in the room. But nope, they told me they never see it. They said cleaner did not see anything and that is the end of the story.

The truth is, just just don't care.

I had asked three times for a cot to be sent to my room. The first two times they said they would get right on it and send it up. I came back at night and there was no cot in my room so I went down to ask them to bring a cot up and they told me they do not have any and they couldn’t accommodate it. I wish someone could have told me that one of the first two times I asked as it was very frustrating.

We stayed here for one night on a last-minute trip and chose it mainly for the location and affordability. It’s right in the Center City area, in a neighborhood that felt safe to walk around at night, which was important to us.

Check-in was quick and efficient. The staff wasn’t overly warm, but everything was smooth and straightforward.

Our room was on the first floor. It was small but very clean, which I really appreciated. The only downside was that there was no window, which made the room feel darker and quieter than I’m used to (especially coming from NYC, where I’m used to city noise and bustle). The room also felt a bit stuffy — even with the thermostat set low. Thankfully, there was a fan in the room, which helped me sleep more comfortably.

Amenities included soap, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, towels, a hair dryer, microwave, and fridge. An ironing board and shower chair were also available, which is great for anyone who may need those accommodations. Water pressure in the shower was perfectly fine.

The location was honestly perfect — within walking distance to places we wanted to visit like Reading Terminal Market and several museums. Breakfast is included from 6–10am and offers basic options: cereal, muffins, fruit, yogurt, a waffle maker, and coffee. Nothing extravagant, but it gets the job done — and we planned to eat out in the area anyway.

People smoked in the room prior to my stay, and the room had cigarette burns in the shower curtain, the smoke detector was covered in a plastic bag to cover the smoke detector. The front desk seemed to not care when I inquired about it they did seem to care. The room itself was good but had a lingering stench of marijuana.

The first thing we noticed was that the flooring in the hallway was uneven and breaking apart. The door lock on our first room did not lock. We were then moved to the room next door. The room was clean however expect toiletries and complimentary coffee were not stocked. The window HVAC unit had a fan that was load on low and caused trouble when sleeping and had to be shut off. The complimentary continental breakfast was OK. However the staff spent more time talking on their phones then making sure all items remained stocked, coffee and baked goods.

It was fine, cost was fine, staff nice, hotel clean. Real weird to have a drafty window AC unit permanently screwed in in December. We got an extra blanket, jacked the heat up all the way and covered the AC with our coats. You got to cover those things. Would stay again in Spring or Summer.

Location was great. Parking was convenient. You have to ring the door bell to get inside the hotel and it’s broken so we had to wait a while for someone to see or hear us to let us inside Each time. I understand the safety concerns but it would be nice for the keycard to work on the exterior door.

I stayed overnight because I had surgery down the street at Jefferson Neurosurgery Hospital and this was convenient for me coming from out of town. There is not on-site parking but there is a covered parking garage with overnight parking directly across the street that is a Parkway lot. The hotel is very nice, but it is an old center city building so it is NOT handicap accessible in any shape or form. I would not recommend this place to any one who is claustrophobic as the elevator is quite small and some halls are very narrow. The room itself was very neat and clean. The bed was great. Heat/AC ran off a weird window split ductless unit that seemed to work well and helped cover the street noise. If you are looking for convenience to theaters, convention center, and the hospitals, this is a great option.

We paid nearly $600 for a room that should have charged $150 (and only becuase it was in the city center.) I understand that they were taking advantage of the fact that it was the Philly Marathon weekend, but I still cannot give it a rating any higher. I should say the staff were nice, but overall this is a 2 star hotel, nothing more.

The staff were nice and that’s the only reason I’m giving this place at least 2 stars. The first room I was given was a handicapped room- which I felt they should have probably saved for someone who was handicapped, and it was as hot as a sauna! I requested to switch rooms and was given a room on the 4th floor which smelled like cat pee, and there was an old sandwich in the fridge that I politely brought down to the front desk attendant. The shower shelves and toilet paper holder were likely installed by someone who doesn’t use a leveler since everything was crooked to the point that none of my toiletries were able to stand up and slid down. Also, the walls are verrrrrrryyyyyyyy thin- so thin that I could not only hear every conversation the people in the room next to me were having, but could also hear their phone vibrate and other bodily sounds.

Would not recommend this place.

Room was a bit small but that is expected in Center City. Did not like the lighting in the room. Very little natural light but the LED lighting is sparse and too cool of a color. They do make more warm color LED bulbs that would improve the lighting immensly. Also, we were awakened at 8 am by a maintenance worker cutting through the sheet rock in the hallway with an loud electric saw. should have waited till later in the day.

I have no idea how this hotel has gotten anything less than zero stars from anyone. I am convinced the reviews of 10/10 are fake! It is run down, dirty and the staff is rude and unhelpful. Our room (301) was street side with a window unit air conditioner that had next to no installation around it and no sound barrier to the outside. It sounded like car horns, music and yelling were actually in our room it was so loud. The air conditioner rattled and the room and linens smelled of mildew. The breakfast was pathetic. The area in front of the hotel was littered with garbage and smelled. It felt very unsafe entering the hotel. Had it not been so late when we arrived, we would have found another hotel. I now wish we had despite the hour. Beware of positive reviews and stay somewhere else!

Hotel is inexpensive and in a great location. That's it for positive things. The first room I was given had not been cleaned. Looked like a guest had left but it was not cleaned. Towels were on the floor. The bed had been slept in and not made. I went to the desk and calmly said he had given me a key to a room that had not been clean. In a very angry tone he said "WHAT DO YOU MEAN??". The next room was clean but even though remodeling with cheap materials not too long ago so much was wrong. Could see out of room through vent above door (and someone could see in). Crack under door was about 1 1/2 inches. Water in shower drained slowly. Had to cut shower short or it would have overflowed. In morning went to get a cup of coffee in lobby - thermos container with pump was empty. The guy acted mad when I told him and said it can't be. He opened it - it was empty. Lastly - the cheap toilet paper was the thinesst toilet paper I have ever seen

The location of this hotel makes it a good destination overall - you are within walking distance of the historic district of Philadelphia and have bus stops on the corner. It’s also conveniently located opposites a parking garage and a CVS so you have somewhere for toiletries, drinks etc. the staff were lovely but it’s not the best looking hotel inside and it’s a noisy street on the weekends. The noise outside you can live with though.

Staffs are very nice and friendly. The front desk agent Noor is a wonderful young girl!
It is hard to say there is breakxast but they offer some snacks and two types if fruits.
The location is very nice though so ykucan go outand find something to eat at a walking distance.
