The room and property were very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Wish that there was more signage about where things are, like the pool, and when the restaurants close and stop serving food. Not a whole ton of food options nearby, so pack at least a lunch or something. Parking was easy as they have a friendly valet.

Check in was easy, no issues with parking which was convenient. They have a parking deck next to the hotel and the workers there were friendly and accommodating. I thought the treat and water bowl for dogs was a nice touch to the hotel. We did not bring a dog but i noticed it and thought that was cool. They offered Starbucks items, which was great. Most places were within walking distance of the hotel so you can definitely explore some local restaurants and activities to enjoy. My husband and I were pleased with our stay and will come back soon.

I love the Rittenhouse area and so glad for my stay at Sonesta. Great location, easy access to Center City restaurants, shops and various events for FiFa. Staff friendly, rooms clean. I just wish I had opportunity to take in the rooftop pool.

We booked this hotel for our overnight stay because they had a pool and it was supposed to be hot that day, which it was. When we checked in everything was fine. The staff was nice enough, the hotel was a little run down but it was fine. we were given pool passes which we signed out for. Only a few hours later when I realized I couldn’t find my pool passes which was an old school wrist band type thing we went down to the lobby of the hotel to ask for another one. Come to find out we signed a death warrant when signing out for the pool wrist bands. Their policy was if you lose the cheap paper band you can’t get another one nor have access to the pool. They said it was on the form we signed but we should have been made aware of this. The front staff including the managers David and Latoya were completely unhelpful could offer no solutions beyond booking an another room which David told to my husband sarcastically. The pool being the main reason to stay there I said we’d rather not stay there then. David was quick to pompously jump on the key board say sarcastically ok and refunded the room. I was so taken aback at the changed attitude and lack of solutions. I don’t know if all of the Sonesta hotels are like this. If so run. They would rather lose guests and money for the hotel then at least walk the guests to the pool. I say this because their excuse for the rigid policy is that people sneak people in. So walk us to the pool, but nope. They’d rather lose $300. Worst experience.

Front desk and bell hop staff were very friendly and accommodating. We were in town for the Roots Picnic and this was our first visit to the city. The location of the hotel was perfect for sightseeing & a few good eats in walking distance. Our room looked to be a little outdated and could use some love and care. It needs like a deep clean of the walls, linen and furniture. Not a bad stay at all just need some improvements.

The hotel was very clean, rooms were big, and the location was great for walkable restaurants and museums. The pool was refreshing and also well kept, though towels were slim picking as were lounge chairs.

Water pressure was amazing. There's a cheaper parking lot next door, nearly half the price fyi. Rittenhouse square is a quick walk away.

Food options would be the main thing that was lacking IN the building but so much around us it didn't matter.

All in All, would stay here again. The price and value were well worth it.

You do NOT get what you pay for.

The location is okay. The parking is expensive but worth it because you can come and go.

The base of our toilet broke. They moved us, but didn’t help or make any effort to make it up to us.

The Barrista was nasty and dismissive.

On our second day someone woke us up by knocking on the door even tho we had a ‘do not disturb’ tag out. When I said wee were sleeping, he said ‘how are you sleeping when you asked for extra towels?’ (We had not)

They gave us one towel each, and those were child-sized, so I get why someone called for more.

We booked it for the pool, but it is the size of a bathtub and both the pool and the deck were crammed full of people.

I get that things go wrong in hotels. It happens. But HOSPITALITY suggests that they should have tried to make it up to us.

Everyone we encountered at this location was friendly and helpful. The accommodations were comfortable, updated, and thoughtful. That said, we apparently were in the city during World Cup action, so the supplies were running low throughout--no extra blanket for the couch bed, no regular caff pods for our second morning, and a stunning lack of ice makers on each floor. We paid a lot for this weekend stay, again apparently because of World Cup travelers, and it didn't feel like what we paid was reflected in what was available. But during regular times with regular rates, this would be a fantastic place to stay in Center City.

The overall stay was horrible due to an improper working shower. The shower didn’t drain and the water was spraying into bathroom floor. Told the hotel staff three times about the shower and nothing was done. Also asked for towels to place on floor due to wet floor from shower.

I liked the hotel overall, but I wish the tv was updated. It’s 2026 and the tv was not a smart tv and had local channels only. This turned me off as a customer and I probably wouldn’t stay again due to that. I left my MacBook and iPad at home thinking the hotel at least had Netflix, but nope! Major turn off smh

The room was a bit dingy, had moths in it, and the cooling system is noisy (it would startle me awake). The elevators often smelled like cigarettes. It's an ok place to stay but I wouldn't pick it over the many other options in the area. The upside is that it's close to lots of food options.

The room was nice, however we couldn't get extra pillows or blankets. We asked on three separate occasions and our requests were ignored.Our kids had to sleep with us in the king size bed as a result and it was a tight squeeze. The staff were 50/50. Some were quite nice and some were straight up rude. The pool was ok but lots of shade due to the towering buildings. Pity they didn't have a rooftop pool. For the exorbitant price per night, we will never stay there again. I have had better experiences at 2 star hotels.

Not impressed. The room was very small and was filled with furniture that made it feel even smaller. The curtains wouldn’t open all the way to take in the view. The carpet was well traveled. Looks like they only re renovated the bathroom. Feels like the type of place that would have bed bugs and cockroaches, by my surprise I didn’t find any. Elevators are slow and very busy. The pool was nice but very busy. They make you wear a wristband to gain access to the pool, which makes it feel like you’re in an amusement park. Very fitting because you have to stand in line for the pool ladder. I would stay clear. There are many better options.

Toilet was covered with dried yellow urine and hairs. It was also running none stop until we adjusted the float switch. Pool had no towels for the first hr+ of being open. Bar opens way too late for a Saturday.

Also Ruth’s Chris is one of our favorite restaurants but the one in this hotel fell short of the standards that has been set. Manager needs needs to do more than stand there missing endless times he could engage, manage and create a environment worth sending $300 on dinner

When I checked in they told me that the room I selected was unavailable even I booked this months ago. Instead of being apologetic, the staff member said I booked through a third party so it didn’t mean I would get the room I paid for. The manager came over and resolved; however the response by the staff member left a bad impression. Later I called down to the guest service several times and no one picked up. I needed 2 cups. I walked downstairs and the front desk said someone would come up with the cups - no one ever came. I went against my better judgment by not booking at The Logan (which I had an outstanding experience with last year) and trying the Sonesta. Will not return.

Carpet needs to be replaced. Hotel needs to be updated. Ironing board was dirty and iron did not work properly. Housekeeping didn’t come and we were out till 5 pm so had to skip and just got clean towels. We were told we had $10 credits daily but the cafe was closed or sold out most of the time so didn’t even use it. It was a joke. Wouldn’t stay there again or recommend it.

This property is in a great area of town, walkable to all the great restaurants in Rittenhouse Square. The staff was friendly and helpful.

However, this property is very dated. There were stains on both the sofa and the carpet. The Starbucks doesn't open until 6:30 and closes early. The bar/restaurant looked dirty. We were up early on a Friday morning and there were dirty wine glasses and empty wine bottles on the bar.

Would not stay here again.

This hotel hits positive on all major categories for hotel stays. Clean linens and comfortable beds were found. The restroom and shower were very good with the helpful body wash, lotion and shampoo available. The location is close to several eateries and restaurants near Rittenhouse Square. I will stay there again.

Room was very satisfactory. Super clean, nice modern bathroom. Large room. Only complaint was front desk staff. They were cold, indifferent, and honestly looked like they hated their jobs. Unusual to see folks doing a hospitality job that seemed to hate interfacing with the public. The gentleman, Paul who handled luggage was the only bright light. Super pleasant and nice. Not so at front desk on both occasions, when I dropped my bags and later when I checked in.

The hotel is in a great location and the staff very friendly. Having a Starbucks in the lobby for grab and go breakfast was very nice. There were some issues with our room but they were brought to the attention of the staff directly. If noise is an issue for you, I suggest to avoid \"connecting\" rooms, as the noise from the next room is easily heard. The Art Bar in the lobby and the Ruth's Chris Steakhouse are the only restaurants in the hotel but there are lots of options within a quick walk (along with great shopping).

The beds were made and they had clean towels. But they forgot to clean up the little things. Such as cleaning the coffee maker/removing the use coffee refill that another guest may be how to use an empty the water in the ice bucket. In other words, the staff were really good and very nice at the front desk.

Upon arrival to the room, the sheets were dirty. I called the front desk and I was told maintenance would come up and change the sheets in 10 minutes. 40 minutes passed and no one came. I had to call back and someone was sent to the room with sheets for me to change which is ridiculous as that is not my job. Upon ordering a room one expects everything to be done by the staff considering how expensive the room was; just for it to be dirty. I had to go up to the front desk in person and file a complaint. First I was told that they only have queen beds available for me to change to. I was then told that the manager was able to put me in a king room. The whole experience was terrible and I would never come back here.

Beds were good and comfortable. Couch had visible sizable stains. Desk top was dirty. Bathroom baseboards dirty. Lock on bathroom door didn’t work.
The main problem was the hotel was very full and half of the elevators didn’t work (2 of 4). Waiting a number of minutes to get to the lobby from the 12th floor resulted in us going up to go down. A couple of elevators stopped to reveal they were full. Was told if we took the stairs, at the bottom when exiting we would set off an alarm. So we went up on an ascending elevator to go down. Location is great.

Hotel is in a fantastic location just blocks from city hall and Rittenhouse Square. Super clean onsite valet parking with in and out privileges and a coffee bar and Ruth’s Chris located in the lobby of the hotel. It’s definitely going to be my go to for Philly from now on.
