The pool towels were stained, otherwise everything else was clean. Breakfast buffet was very good. Staff at front desk, cleaning staff, & breakfast staff were all very nice, efficient & helpful.
Bartender was rude & looking for the chef to make her something to eat at 9:00 pm. We sat & waited 14 min for her to even show up. The next day in the elevator a man remembered me & how rude she was to my 50 yr old son who didn’t know her rules to go to the service bar instead of reaching through people. The man on the elevator was who he reached through: strong Irish accent from an Irish pub. She was wacked!

parking was very expensive per day. property was a little older and can use an update. property needs a good cleaning from the inside. elevators, walls etc. the room was large but we had a very noisy air conditioning. sounded like it was going to break down soon. we didn’t eat breakfast at hotel since it wasn’t included in price of hotel stay. the staff were very nice and helpful. the hotel is in a good location. in the center of a lot of must see attractions. overall ok.

The hotel was perfect for our visit to Philadelphia. Comfortable room, great location with many walkable options, friendly and knowledgeable staff who handled all our questions. We did not eat any of our meals at the hotel so cannot comment about the in-house food options.

Location is great! Staff were very nice. It’s just an older hotel that needs some TLC. Not all the elevators were working. No housekeeping service was offered so no dry towels. Towels didn’t dry from one day to the next. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there. The pool is very nice.

Enjoyed the rooftop pool, nice rooms, and 100% walkable proximity to all things Old City. The staff were incredible. They assisted with an early check in, held my bags when departure plans were delayed, and even helped after I realized I forgot to pack shaving cream. Will definitely stay here again, five stars.

This hotel is very well located in the Old Town section making it easy to walk to many museums & restaurants. It was clean. The pool was refreshing on a hot day. The breakfast was well stocked & had good choices. I had trouble when I tried to eat dinner in the restaurant because there was no hostess to seat me (@6:30pm). We had to walk out to find a place to eat on a busy Friday. The parking garage was right next to the hotel making it very covenient.

We stayed here for about a week. We appreciated how walkable the neighborhood is, the location in the historic district and proximity to monuments and museums and restaurants. Our room was clean and staff was helpful. One problem was siren noise when fire trucks were dispatched from the nearby fire station. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast was ok. The pancake wraps with apple were cold. Pulled from the freezer and still has ice on them. That was the complaint from all who had the pancake wraps. Otherwise, breakfast was good. And of course, we all enjoy good coffee!! We would stay again. The hotel was well located and within walking distance of all attractions and good restaurants.

Room was clean but some of the outlets were not working so charging a couple devices was tricky to do at the same time, staff was friendly and responded to extra towels and toiletries requests promptly and friendly. Breakfast was something that was a disappointment as what was provided for a buffet was comparable to a cheaper hotel but you have to pay for it so if we had known what it was going to be and how much it cost we would have ordered McDonalds as at other hotels a buffet would have been complimentary. Loved the location as it was in old city so it was historic area and in walking distance to many museums and places to eat

The room smelled like heavy perfume and smoke, the front desk sent someone to deodorize the carpet but it didn't fully resolve the issue, there were a lot of stains on the hallway rugs. I will say it was an older property and it was ok. I wouldn't stay here again. The staff was great, the breakfast was good and the staff was good as well.

I came from NYC for the Roots Picnic. Unfortunately, the room was not properly cleaned. There were stains all over the bathroom walls, and the housekeeping staff needs to pay more attention to detail. Because of this experience, I don’t think I’ll be returning to this hotel.

We stayed 2 nights prior to flying out after a family wedding. I gave the overall rating a 5 star because the location was great. We were traveling with our 8 & 12 yr olds and the area felt safe and was central to all the historical sites we wished to visit. We also walked the 30 minutes to the 9th St Italian Market. Our stay was so short we did not utilize any of the amenities. I did try to contact the front desk to request a towel and after being placed on hold for 5 minutes gave up. Not a deal breaker, but likely understaffed like most places.

When we got to our room, we found we had no hair dryer or hand towels. Upon trying to call the front desk about this, we discovered our phone was broken. We reported it, but it was not fixed during our 3 day stay. There was nothing in the room about the area, local restaurants or other helpful information. There was no tv guide, printed or on the tv. The only thing good about this hotel is its location. The staff, even the concierge could not answer our questions.

Hotel is wonderfully located, and is clean with very helpful and friendly staff.

However, the rooms are a little old and tired. The AC unit in the room sounded like a jet taking off every time it fired up, and the hot water in the bathroom was tricky to get at an appropriate temperature.

I’m a seasoned solo traveler and I journeyed to Philadelphia over Memorial Day weekend to do some historical exploring! I had a fantastic time (despite the rain…lol) and I could NOT have been happier with my choice of lodgings! Oh my goodness, the staff was so nice, friendly and accommodating! I had made a couple of special room requests and the staff fulfilled them both! A top floor room with a view of the Benjamin Franklin bridge! I SO enjoyed that view every morning and night! I had also asked about checking in early and checking out late and they worked to provide BOTH options for me - although I only ended up requiring the latter. But more than that, they were so, so nice to me! (Which is really meaningful when you’re a female traveling independently!) By the time I departed - Qua, Earl and Chris O. all felt more like friends than hotel staff…I can’t thank them enough for their genuine kindnesses and fantastic personalities! Additionally, I was super excited to be able to refill my water bottles in the lobby throughout my stay…and my bed and pillow (I really wanted to re-home that pillow!) were extraordinarily comfortable! It was truly a home away from home. And SO CONVENIENTLY located! If you’re visiting to explore the historical sites - look no further! You’ll be in the heart of them all! Thanks again for such an amazing time! LOVE THIS HOTEL!

This hotel is historic; many things just felt outdated. The bathroom ceiling had stains, and one of the elevators seemed to struggle to reach each floor. Noise was the biggest issue. A conference was happening during my stay, and a large group of attendees gathered outside the hotel late at night, talking and laughing loudly around 11:45 p.m. for over an hour. Inside, the walls are thin enough that you can hear conversations from the next room. On top of that, guests letting their doors slam created extremely loud bangs — not ideal when it’s 2 a.m. and you’re trying to sleep. The hotel really needs to enforce quiet hours or implement better noise control.

On the positive side, the front desk staff were very helpful. I didn’t try the hotel restaurant, but the grab‑and‑go area felt overpriced.

Overall, I don’t expect perfection, but I do expect a reasonable level of comfort and rest — and unfortunately, this stay didn’t deliver that.

Parking was expensive to not have any direct access to the hotel- after parking your car you have to walk all the way through the parking garage and outside to the front of the hotel. One a more positive note: the hotel is super close to many historical sites.

Overall great experience as it was 2nd time staying at this hotel in Philly. Very convenient to all the major landmarks around independence hall, old city, center city and South Philly! Very walkable. The room was cleaned after 1st night but 2nd day housekeeping didn’t come back to clean the room until after we checked out on 3rd day.

The staff was super friendly and helpful with check in. We were traveling from out of state, by driving, and traffic had us super delayed. They let us check in still even though it was past their stated check in time (as long as we got there before midnight, which we did). The parking garage was on the expensive end. The bathroom upon arrival was not all that clean...leftover BM residue in the toilet. The lobby was clean. Plenty to do in the area. When I had an issue with a payment after check out. I tried calling 3 times once back home, the front desk answered the phone and immediately said \"please hold\" and never got back on the phone. I was on hold for quite a long time. Tried 3 times and gave up. Had to contact my bank. I more than likely would not stay here again.

Other than location I’d pass on staying here again.

I was charged a $50 bar bill to my room. I disputed the charge and was told my credit card would be credited. It has yet to be applied. I will give them a few more days, although it has been six days already.

The stay was ok. Hotel room was well overpriced, over $400 per room that was a standard room. Location is very good in Old City. Staff was kind, cooperative and helpful. Probably grossly underpaid as well. Let's hope Wyndham corporate credits my card soon.

The location is perfect for history lovers, but historical Philly is rather run down (sadly), the hotel feels tired, the carpet and decor are showing their age.

They swapped out our AC unit and we had a little improvement, but still warmer than we like. The maintenance man was so nice and friendly and we appreciate all he did for us. We did have a few ants before we left, other than this, we enjoyed our stay in Philly!

The hotel and staff were very nice. The rooms were a bit dark even with the 5 lamps on. Decor in the lobby seemed updated, but the room was quite dated and sterile.

I did not try the breakfast but it smelled good. Paying for a buffet when you normally have a shake didn't seem worth it.

If you are a history buff, this is a great place to stay. You are literally across the street from the Arch Street House, and within walking distance of so much. Lots of local restauraunts and some museums.

Our room was absolutely filthy. There were huge dust bunnies on the window sill. There was a stain on the bathroom that looked like fecal matter. Dust and dirt on the side table. They were full and couldn’t change our room. We paid 600.00 for the night and they ran out of towels. We had 2 towels and we are four with my kids. The reason I gave the extra star is bc of the staff they were accommodating and very apologetic.

The lobby and the staff were pleasant and helpful. The moment you exit the elevator you experience the bait and switch. Hallway walls were lined with cheap plastic paneling. The room and furniture were outdated and dilapidated. Vanity low and inconvenient, carpet peeling at the edges. Most of all the bed sink down into the springs. I would avoid until a thorough remodel is undertaken.

Carpets very warm, toilet seat broken & not repaired, laundry machines broken had to travel 0.7 mi to do one load, and room was not properly cleaned. We found clothing & food crumbs under the bed. Front desk member came up to clean the room. Front desk and concierge were great. Free water great and Christopher went above & beyond. Very safe area, good restaurants nearby, wonderful location, & convenient to many points of interest. Bathtub had 3+ chips in surface. Property needs better maintenance or attention to what needs fixing or changed out.

The location of this hotel was perfect for everything we wanted to do. The staff was very friendly and helpful.The beds were very comfortable. The room was clean enough but getting quite run down. There was paint peeling badly on the window frame and there were holes all over the light blocking curtains. The top of the ice bucket was rusted and they didn’t even have a cover for the tissue box. The room didn’t feel nice enough to be in a Wyndham hotel. For the price we should have at least gotten an ice bucket that wasn’t rusted!

Outside of the nice woman that check us in not another staff member ever said hi, asked us how our stay was, and they all avoided eye contact all together. Even the server in their restaurant barely acknowledged us until it came time to give us the check.

For sightseeing and historic buildings it is the perfect location. We loved how confident it was to everything we wanted to do.

Surprised the hotel doesn't have free coffee 24/7 in lobby. Rooms were ok but missing suitcase stand. Room telephones were unusable due to static while trying to talk to main desk. All minor expectations / problem.
