I love the location of the hotel in Old City. It’s near everything. The Arden theatre is around the corner, there are shops, cafes, shopping and stuff to see and do. The room was clean, lots of pillows, towels and coffee. Breakfast was ok. The area is great to walk around!

Room was clean and nice. Parking garage under construction and hard to navigate. Majority of the staff was wonderful, however, when the parking ticket dispenser was not working and we called for help, whomever answered was very rude and snarky about how to properly use the machine that was not working instead of listening to the issue first. Otherwise everyone was very nice and helpful.

This hotel has friendly, helpful staff and is close to a lot of attractions for visitors. The room was big and comfortable with an office chair and a sitting chair. The view was of the street so nothing great there. There is a parking garage we left our car in the majority of our stay because there was so many places within walking distance.

The staff was very good: attentive, helpful, and very quick responses when needed. The rooms, though, were not great. The AC/heating unit runs 100% of the time and it is LOUD. Even when the unit was turned off using the wall control, the fan continued to run 24/7.

The room was clean for the most part, the desk chair has seen better days. TV was a little dusty and the towel rack was hanging off the wall a little. The room could use a bit of upgrading but it was clean and the staff was helpful.

I’ve traveled to many places around the world, and this hotel gave me one of the best check-in experiences I’ve had. The front desk staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and made the process smooth and easy.

The location is great for anyone wanting to go sightseeing, with many attractions nearby and easy to get to. The hotel itself shows some wear, which is understandable for a property in such a busy area, but it didn’t take away from the convenience of the stay.

The only issue we experienced was with the water temperature. Unfortunately, the water never got hot and we ended up taking cold showers during the winter. Maintenance came about a day later, but whatever repair was attempted didn’t resolve the issue. Aside from that inconvenience, the staff were very courteous and helpful during our stay.

I booked 3 nights stay at this hotel solely based on previous rating (8.2). Now I am wondering how it received this rating or if they stopped caring after reaching this level of rating. A lot of issues during my one stay alone.

During check-in, they kept me waiting for 20 minutes because only one front desk employee was working during busy check-in time (afternoon). I expected at least one or two more employees during this rush hour.

Next, when it was my turn, the front desk lady gave me a room key with room number on it. I took the elevator, went to 3rd floor, and found the keys not opening the room door. Then with all my luggage, I can back to the front desk and reported the issue. The lady acted like it was not an issue at all for a guest to go to a room and coming back to front desk due to key mismatch. She even didn’t apologize. She abruptly told me to go with another employee to check. Apparently they didn’t believe what I said about the key mismatch. The other person went went with me to the 3rd floor and saw for himself that keys are not working. Then, he told me wait until he comes back with right keys. After 10 minutes, he came with keys for a different room and let me in.

Next, the room heating was not working. I called the front desk and they said an engineer will come to my room to inspect the problem. 10 minutes passed, no one came. I called again as the room was freezing cold. After 10 more minutes, an employee came. But heat system does not auto stop.

Excellent location. Good accommodations and friendly attentive staff. The not-so-goods were the parking garage and wifi. The garage was in bad shape as they are apparently trying to renovate while keeping it open. The elevator didn't always work and stairway was pretty raunchy. The wifi was as weak and unreliable as I have encountered in a major urban hotel. Need some new routers.

We just finished our stay here, and I have to say, this hotel has so much going for it. The location is phenomenal. Being able to walk to the Betsy Ross Museum, Ben Franklin’s grave, Christ Church, the Arch Street Meeting House, Liberty Bell and the U.S. Mint made our trip incredibly easy and enjoyable. You’re truly in the center of Philadelphia’s historic heart. Inside, the hotel is lovely, but what really stood out was the staff. The front desk team was amazing, and every employee we met was warm, friendly, and eager to help. It felt like everyone genuinely cared about making our stay great. Our room was spotless, the lobby and restaurants were inviting, and the workout facilities were a nice bonus. We did run into two issues. The elevators inside the hotel were unreliable, and our very first ride was actually frightening, the elevator shook violently, and when we reached our floor, the doors jammed and we had to pry them open. The second issue was the parking garage, which is currently under construction and honestly felt unsafe. Limited parking, construction equipment everywhere, and the garage elevators were down twice, forcing us to walk up to the third floor. It was rough, but it does look like they’re actively renovating, so hopefully this improves soon (March 2026). Even with those problems, we still had a really enjoyable stay because of the staff, the cleanliness, and the unbeatable location. The rates were very reasonable, and we would absolutely stay here again.

Stayed for Veterans Day weekend for the Marine Corps Birthday. The staff was on strike and what staff were still working did not clean or take care of anything with our room. There was vomit on the hallway floor the entire weekend, never cleaned up. We had no fresh towels for the room. As a veteran with ptsd, it was horrible to experience constant loud banging, screaming and whistles going off all day till sundown from the staff on strike. Not only does this hotel not pay their staff to the point where they strike, but they refused to reimburse those of us who stayed in any way. They wouldnt even handle the parking fee. All of us guests deserved better, but especially those of us Veterans who came for a good Veterans Day Weekend, only to dread coming back to the hotel during the stay. I wouldnt recommend them to anyone ever.

But our room was old and worn - rugs and curtains old and dusty, furniture stained, and bathroom totally old and outdated. The rollaway had springs sticking out if it and included a gross blanket that had to be used by the founding fathers - it was so old and worn.

The stay at the Wyndham Philadelphia Historic District was wonderful. The room was unbelievable! The representatives at the desk were professional and answered all concerns. The lone drawbacks were the doors in the room were a little tough to close and the breakfast that had to paid for was unfortunately colder than expected.

Beyond that, the hotel is beautifully located near the heart of Downtown Philly, Broad Street, Market Street, Reading Terminal Market and many more iconic areas in Philadelphia. I would recommend Wyndham to anybody.

Parking was $40 and it was limited space, the entire 2nd 3rd floor closed off due to construction. The building is outdated, the bathroom sink only had cold water, the tub water pressure was terrible water was coming out the shower head and tube head at the same time, so water was around around your feet gross. . Front desk staff was great check in was quick. . We were unable to use the hotel restroom bc staff stated they didn’t open until 5pm I was confused we drove a long way to stay there just wanted to use the restroom while we were checking in.

When I arrived I was informed my King Deluxe room was given away and they would provide me with a double for the night and move me to a King tomorrow...unacceptable! Parking was a nightmare, no spots avaliable each nite, I literally parked in the fire lane with hopes of note being towed. Rooms were just ok..a little dated, loud toilet and heating unit. I was too busy and tired to complain...I was comp for the parking fees, but i would probably not stay there again!

The bathrooms could use some upgrades, they look worn down. You can see scuff marks and scratches in the tub area and tiles, but the water pressure was good. I had some issues with the heating system and needed to change to a different room. The staff was very friendly and responded quickly to the situation. The bed was comfortable and pillows were good quality. Thw room had a lot of options to charge our devices. A big con was the restaurant on site closes after breakfast and opens again at 5pm. You cant use the bar or restaurant during the day which is very inconvenient and was not communicated to me in writing or during check in. Had i known i would have chosen a different hotel. I would reccomeded this hotel if you are staying for one night and are planning to be out and about all day, including eating all meals outside.
