The experience was not Hilton's best. My family and I were welcomed in a older accommodation. The toilet seat in the 1st bathroom was very shaky and needed to be replaced. The room needed to be renovated. The 2nd bathroom's toilet was clogged and needed a plunger. When we called the front desk, the phone continued to ring out. After trying to get in touch with the hotel, the front desk finally answered and told us that maintenance had left for the day, and we needed to come and get the plunger.
Breakfast was from 6:30 -9:30 a.m. At breakfast the next morning, we arrived at 8:30 a.m. The breakfast committee ran out of certain items and were not replenishing the items for all of the guests in the hotel to enjoy. The food was not up to par because they did not have food warmers in the breakfast area to keep them warm. I have never been to any Hilton Hotel that did not have warmers/or sternos to keep food warm as guests come through for the 3 - 4 hour breakfast period. The next day at breakfast, they ran out of items and never replenished them for the guests. The food was nasty, soggy, overly greasy, etc. There was a spill in the breafast area and thecwater was on the floor entirely too long. This hotel is in need of more staff to help them run things smoothly. One of the breakfast staff members also had all of her "big hair" out around the food without a hair net on, and the next day at breakfast, she had on a scarf as if she was going to bed. We considered staying with family- I decided to stay at Homewood. It was like having our own apartment. Best decision. Shower was amazing with plenty of hot water. Bed super comfy. Quiet. Staff is warm, intelligent, cheerful, attentive. Breakfast great. Even the convenience market had essentials- tweezer and nail filer. We felt more than at home. We felt privileged. All our boxes checked and more checks than boxes. Feel me. Totally recommend. We’re coming back 4/28, to this location. Take care. Thanks for reading.

The room was nice but there needs to be improvements. The pillows were old and had stains on them. The phone didn't work, and the sheets had stains as well. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the restaurant food was awesome, breakfast was awesome as well.

When I got there the system was down so I could not check in. I had been on the road for 6 hours prior to check in so I was tired. The bathroom toilet was broken. I called 4 times to have them fix it. The last night at like 1020pm. The front desk decided to move us to a new room. The first room that they assigned to me was dirty and not cleaned up. I had to go back to the front desk to request another room.
The staff there was nice but I was very disappointed that I paid for two nights and I could not use my own toilet.

Although we got confused on which hotel was the hotel we were staying at because of the location ,the staff were very courteous and informative upon arrival. The hotel was clean and tidy but out dated. In the entrance the chairs were ran down and needed to be replaced. The sink the the room smelled and the water wouldn’t go down.

My recent stay at the Homewood Suites was a bit of a rollercoaster. While there were some bright spots, several service gaps and hidden policies made for a frustrating experience.
The Room & Amenities
The room itself was nice and featured a very convenient kitchenette with a full-sized refrigerator, which is always a plus for longer stays. However, the preparation was lacking. The suite wasn’t fully stocked; we were missing basic items like washcloths and extra bedding for the pull-out couch.
Dining Experience
The complimentary breakfast was disappointing. Despite being kept in warmers, the food was cold, and the selection was very limited. Most concerningly, the cleanliness of the dishes was not up to standard—many plates and utensils still had visible food residue on them.
Hidden Fees & Outdated Information
Be aware that the information on Hotels.com is outdated. The site lists parking at $20, but it is actually $25 per night. This was an unexpected expense I only discovered upon arrival.
The "No Balloons" Policy
The most frustrating part of the stay was a strict "no balloons" policy that is not mentioned on the hotel website or third-party booking sites. I brought balloons for a special occasion, only to be told they weren't permitted on the premises.
• I was only shown the policy document after checking in.
• Because the balloons were non-refundable, this resulted in a total loss of money.
• Management offered no compensation or flexibility for this lack of transparency.

The staff members were amazing. Very accommodating and friendly. The hotel rooms not so much. We got into our room and there were cockroaches in the cabinets and behind the fridge. We were moved to a new room a few floors down and there were dead bugs in the cabinets. It was gross.

Staff was courteous. Room was fine except the hot water tap was reversed without my knowledge. Cold was actually hot and hot was actually cold. There was no way to know this since there was only one handle. They did repair this and regrout the floor of the shower which had eroded.
Also, I want the price of parking shown. Also, I would rather PAY for wifi that be forced to provide my data to join whatever the Hilton program demands I join just to get wifi

The front desk staff were super pleasant and helpful. The room was nice and big. My showerhead leaked so I ended up having to put a towel over the drain to keep it from tinging through the night. It’s a relatively dark space and my “ living room” light flickered off and died. Loved the size of the fridge and microwave and dishwasher.

I can't say the rooms were spotless but they were clean. The staff and managers I encountered were were courteous and willingly helpful for whatever. I was asked about the room and I brought up the few things that should be looked at and she wanted to take care of it now. I told her it wasn't no need to hirry. They could do it after my stay. The one big thing i don't like about this hotel is the lack of proper parking. Its either on the street or a overpriced lot down the hill. Other than that, I'll come back.

I had to stay at the Homewood Suites city Avenue Philadelphia due to a plumbing emergency at my home. The staff could not be more accommodating! Often going above and beyond what was expected. It’s a convenient, clean, comfortable hotel that connects to the Hilton with additional amenities there.

When i arrived to the property i was greet by the front desk attendant that was very pleasant and professional. The attendant stated that i had two reservations for the same stay. I informed him that i was staying alone for the evening and asked him to confirm that i would only be charged once for my stay . He confirm. Once i checking out and checking my account. I was charged once by expedia and once by HWS.

We felt that the facility was understaffed. This was evident by some structural deficiencies. For example, the automatic door at the entrance was not working, making it difficult to bring in a luggage cart or for a person in a wheelchair to enter. Also, there was no shower curtain in our bathroom so the floor flooded when we took a shower. Having said that, the staff that was present was excellent, just too few of them. For example, TJ at the front desk was especially helpful.

Will NOT use HILTON Homewood Suites Again

I experienced such poor service & an unsatisfactory stay this past weekend.To begin we had to wait 45 minutes to check in because ROOMS were not ready.The room was no cleaned well,crumbs and skittles on the floors.Once we got settled we realized we had NO PHONE. We let the front desk know and they informed us there was NOTHING for them to do even though that’s a safety issue,they offered Hilton Points. WHY would sell that room to anyone? The room itself was old and outdated.There was 1 hook in the bathroom for a Suite that sleeps 4,why? The attempt to make it updated is a door to the bathroom that doesn’t block out light or sound that slides like a Barn Door. 2 roaches made an appearance in the kitchen & bathroom.The water pressure in the bathroom sink was a trickle. I didn’t have a phone to complain and my room was already paid for so at this point, we were STUCK. Front desk did not give myself and other patrons a decent or honest reason as to WHY a 45 minute wait was necessary. She was polite but very dismissive.Things happen, short staff happens but give us the courtesy and respect to be HONEST! This particular establishment dropped the ball numerous ways.We stayed 2 nights and to add insult the injury during Sunday check out they had a Plastic juice container with a hand written not saying “Room Keys”. I was in awe of the unprofessionalism.This was beyond disappointing and pray I’ll never have this experience at ANY establishment.

They insisted that I show the passport and Visa before I can get to my room. This should have been made clear before.

They gave only 1 room key and said they don't give 2 even if our booking was for 2 people. Then tried to charge 250 RS/- when we lost our only key.

Lastly, I am very sure I booked the room with breakfast, yet at the hotel they told us no breakfast is included.

Our stay here was great. It was super hot outside and I was a little nervous because in the hallways the air conditioning seemed like it wasn’t working well but our room was very cool and comfortable. This location worked for us because we were seeing a show at the Mann but be aware, it’s not close to Center City at all. If you have a car, the parking lot is safe and secure and just a very short walk to the hotel if you don’t wish to Valet. I only had coffee but breakfast was included and seemed to have a variety of typical items. Planning to come again next month for another show!

Our room was awesome, it even had a small kitchen complete with refrigerator, cook top, dishwasher, dishes, pots and pans! The bed was so comfortable and the staff we met were all friendly. The whole place was very clean, and the breakfast was great! Didn’t get a chance to check out the pool. Definitely will come back!

A few things were not great. Upon booking I requested a first floor room because we travel with 16ft poles since my son is a pole vaulter. I called that morning and talked with a customer service rep who contacted the hotel and while they could 100% guarantee it they would try. Upon arrival they didn’t even have first floor room.
Secondly the pull out bed had no linen and when we opened it up there were old food particles and other particles of something gross.
We had to ask multiple times for any towels for the room. They also charged my card twice! For paying nearly $500 for one night I don’t feel like I was asking too much.
Also the water pressure was very low.
The one highlight was the valet service for the Hilton next door(I accidentally tried to check in there) was amazing. They let me keep my car with them even though we were staying at the lower end Hilton. And the next morning they remembered what building we were at and brought up our car within 5 minutes!

Staff was courteous. Great location. Restaurants nearby. We were disappointed with breakfast. Food that should have been hot was cold. Food that should have been cold was warm. Fruit was not fresh. Food was not replenished as often as it should have been. Maintenance should have taken place, in our room, prior to our arrival. The toilet tissue holder was loose, the commode was not stable. The sleeper sofa in the room smelled like urine. Parking was too far away from the hotel and there was a cost to park. We were lucky enough to find an opening to park on the street. It was quite a distance to walk to the hotel. This stay missed the mark for us. Management maintenance, and housekeeping can do better than what is being offered. It's a great location, and a great hotel. It just needs a lot of TLC.

Pros: The Stuido was spacious, the linens were clean, the mattress was soft, the kitchen area was good for stove top cooking .

Cons: The room smelled a little musty, the couch looked like it needed to be shampooed, there was no real lighting in the room (no overhead lights or lamps)

Stay if the price is right. If it’s more than you budget go with a different option .

No soap in the bathroom. The lotion was about out, the toilet seat was loose and could have been fixed with a screwdriver and a pair of pliers. The breakfast offering was poorly managed and poorly laid out. The last thing is they ran out of coffee twice in about 15 min. Perhaps if the person that was working for the hotel in the breakfast room would have put her book down and tended to the breakfast room it would have been better. I’ll never stay there again and go back to Holiday Inn Express. They are constantly really good.

There was a problem getting into my room and I had to wait in the hall about 20-30 minutes and go back down to the desk several times to get assistance. The carpeting needs updating, the bathroom had stains on the shower bench and wallpaper stripped off in areas. Staff were kind and well meaning but the repairman was sent to the wrong room. They did have recycling. Kitchen area needs updating.
