The mountain views were beautiful and the highlight of our stay. However, the sheets and shower curtain were not clean, and the bedroom quality did not quite match the price. The staff responded quickly and cleaned everything once we notified them, which we appreciated. Overall, the experience was good, but I'm not sure it was worth the cost.

Lovely room, great staff. Restaurant for dinner was gorgeous but not so much for breakfast.
There was a block that was a bedside table which really wasn’t helpful and the air conditioning was noisy.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The atmosphere was relaxing and cozy, making it the perfect place to unwind. The room was comfortable, clean, and well-maintained.

One of the highlights was the hot tub, which was absolutely perfect after a day of exploring. The mountain view was breathtaking and made the experience even more special. Waking up to such beautiful scenery was unforgettable. They also have free drop off and pick up to downtown Banff which makes it easier to roam around.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, and everything exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with stunning mountain views.

Location of this hotel is great, and likely they have lots of wildlife come by the property as I’ve seen many in the area before. But we didn’t see any in the night we visited, unfortunately.
The room itself was fine. But it was disappointing to have really cheap toilet paper that broke apart. We also had a broken lamp, and the room was quite dark.

But, the staff was super helpful, and there were nice touches like games in the lobby.

Great location if you want to stay away from the business of tourists
Views are phenomenal! Hot tub was always empty when we used it. Robes were a nice add on. My 14 and 12 year old and I Ioved to be able to use the bikes and front desk provided all instructions and a map of trails.
Bistro is amazing. Patio views are picturesque. We ordered sopes (Mexican vibe), they were soooo delicious and a michelada!
Loved having a French press and kettle in the room.
The one and only thing if I had to pick something out would be to get an added set of lighter curtains because the room light is very dim. The heavy dark curtains are perfect to keep out the early morning sun but too dark to.change clothes.

Staff was nice. Restaurant looked beautiful although we did not eat there. Rooms have the most amazing views but are very dated as are the furnishings. Nice products in bathroom and good local tea product. Lots of amenities to enjoy at this hotel if you have the time. Nice patios with views of Rundle / but right over the highway. Be prepared for traffic noise .

Beautiful location with a spectacular view of the mountains and valley. It is located away from the noise and congestion of the Town of Banff which was nice change from the many other hotels we have stayed at in Banff.
The restaurant was a pleasant surprise. The menu offers a wide variety of options including lots of vegetable and healthy options. The restaurant and patio have one of the nicest views of any in the town. This is my first choice for eating whenever I go to Banff.

Fantastic location, helpful staff, comfortable rooms. Only suggestion is to swap the bodum coffee press with a regular coffee maker. With only small sinks to get water from it was a miserable mess.

Loved too that someone had set up a telescope for guests to see an owls nest (with two adorable owlets and two protective parents). Amazing to see!

For our next visit to Banff, we'll be back at the Juniper for sure.

The staff was very welcoming and answered all of our questions. The hot tub had a beautiful view of the mountains. There’s a campfire and complimentary smores every day at 5pm which was really fun. The hotel also lent us bear spray and ice cleats for our hike.
We stayed in a mountain view room, which I highly suggest! It had a nice balcony and a breath taking view.

A dated hotel situated on a very nice lookout over Banff. A larger hot-tub would be more inviting for guests.

Best view ever from deluxe valley rooms. Close to highway. They have a common use hot tub. They even provide complimentary e-fatbikes, bear spray and other stuff. There is an in-house restaurant with high ratings.

Even if you want to go to downtown for food, it’s only a few minutes drive. I tried uber eats pickup option and it worked. There was no delivery as no drivers were available at that time.

Only issue i had was lack of an elevator for 2nd floor. As we had a baby with us, we had to carry a lot of stuff up. But it’s okay for the building’s age which is otherwise renovated aesthetically. The view up there was sublime.
Toiletries were provided which said locally made and smells nice actually.
I will book again here when i get a chance even though there is no complimentary breakfast. Such is the aura in the room and the outside views.

The free shuttle to town is a definite plus.
Only negative is the dinner menu…. Plates to share and expensive considering the food quality. I would have loved some fresh organic options on the menu. The Banff townsite is not far away though. I do live the feeling of being nestled in the mountains. I will go back again

We were greeted with a beautiful smile. Made our day so much better after a long drive. Hotel is easy to find. Not in downtown Banff, but hotel has a shuttle. Also many sporting items to rent. Hot tub, but we didn't use. Room was very clean and well stocked. The view from this room is spectacular! We were here with the snow on and still very nice to set outside our room to see the mountains. Summer would be awesome. Quiet and dark. Bed and linens very comfortable. Bathroom well stocked and great towels.
Check out just as pleasant and seamless as check in.

Room is simple and will do as the view is insane, only problem is the floors are pretty loud so you may actually wake up in the middle of the night when people walk around.

Juniper Hotel accommodations and amenities are great, but the staff is what makes it wonderful! There are several strands outs, but EVERY staff member is friendly, kind and helpful. You really feel like you are being welcomed into their home.

As for the amenities, the ebikes are available for 3 hrs or a car service can be scheduled for drop off/ pick up which is a lifesaver when visiting Banff! The hot tub is a welcomed relief after, hiking, caving or snow shoeing around Lake Louise and the smores are a fun way to meet new people and end your day.

The Juniper Bistro is top notch, their food is delicious and the presentation is a work of art! I would recommend the mushroom and kale bennies for breakfast, the brie for an appetizer or a meal, and the hot cocoa off of the drinks menu should not be missed!

Areas to grow on might be:
- accessible microwaves for guests (thank you front staff for heating up my items every morning!)
- attention to sound proofing opportunities. If you're stressing in the 100's room of the main hallway, voices are quite loud and can wake you up. Along with you can hear the families upstairs.
- consider a change to the additional $20 daily charge for \"amenities\". Although, we like them, it's hard to pay an additional $20 daily for access to them.

My recent stay at the Juniper hotel exceeded all expectations. The staff went above and beyond to accomodate my stay and make my Banff experience one for the books. The ambiance and overall atmosphere both in the hotel and the bistro can't be beat. The rocky mountain view I enjoyed while enjoying dinner at the bistro was magical and only comparable to the stunning view from the amazing outdoor hot tub. 10/10 will be back!

We stayed in a family suite and were surprised to see no separate seating area. Just the two beds in one room and another bed I. The other. I would have thought there would be a couch area. The furniture in the room was also very run down. The chair looked like it was falling apart. The restaurant was really good but very expensive for what you get. Even the coffee in the morning at the restaurant to go was over $5.00.

I stayed here for my 40th birthday (approximately $300/night), and the only criteria I gave when the booking was made was that the hotel have a functioning hot tub.

At check-in, I was informed the hot tub was out of service due to a chlorine issue and would not be available until the following morning—effectively making it unusable for my entire stay. This was the primary reason the hotel was selected, so this significantly impacted the value of the booking.

The front desk waived the $20 amenity fee and offered two small bottles of prosecco, which I declined as I do not drink. I asked whether a more appropriate alternative (such as a dining credit or partial refund) could be provided. I was told they would follow up, but although I later received a call, no message was left and no resolution was provided.

I was also told I received an “upgrade,” however the room appeared to be a standard king with no meaningful difference in amenities.

I understand that maintenance issues can happen, but when a key advertised feature is unavailable—especially one that influenced the booking decision—there should be a clear and reasonable effort to make it right.

Preperty has a hidden 20 dollar amenity fee to artificially lower base rate. Read fine print. Multiple guests asked staff to turn up hot tub temp ( it was consistently 36-37 should be 39 (as per sign). They would not turn up temp. So you pay amenity fee and the amenity is crap.

This is a great place if you’re looking for a quiet, peaceful retreat. The restaurant was a true gem, and the staff were incredibly kind - overall, a wonderful place to stay. The mountain views were absolutely amazing, which was such a great bonus!

That said, it’s not within close walking distance to town, so a vehicle is still needed to get into Banff, especially during the winter months. In the summer, it may be easier to walk or bike into town.

Two things that were not to my likely;
1. The pillows were not very comfortable and gave me a headache.
2. The shower is very small, I kept hitting my elbows into the door or the shower gel caddy. I’m 6’ tall, 170lbs, skinny frame. Someone bigger than me would definitely struggle in that shower.

The staff at the Juniper, along with the view is the best part. The rooms are nice and cozy. I love that they use warm lighting instead of the typical sterile hotel lights.
There is an additional $20 facilites charge over and above your reservation price.
The hot tub is nice but, it was pretty dirty.
Overall, they are doing a nice job.

The room was clean and spacious, and we absolutely loved the stunning Mountain View, definitely worth the splurge on the Mountain View room!
The restaurant was also very nice, but the food quality did not measure up to the prices. We enjoy fine dining and are OK to pay the price. However, the menu items were not very exciting and the ones we tried didn’t taste amazing (for the price). Also had an unusually large vegetarian menu which didn’t interest our family. The brunch was fantastic though, and the prices were much more reasonable. I would definitely head back for the brunch, but might plan to try a different restaurant for dinner.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will definitely plan to come back.
