Loved our stay at RWI. I came here 12 years ago and it has maintained as impeccable as it was back then. We were on the ground floor with adult pool view and loved as we could just walk from pool and Jacuzzi to our room. After all day in the beach we would go to the pool and Jacuzzi and then to the room.

The property is beautiful with so many flowering bushes and trees. Rooms are always clean and have several items for convenience of guest. The staff goes above and beyond to please the guests. Have been traveling here for years and still fall in love with this resort and island every time! The restaurant and bar never disappoint!

My husband and I recently stayed five nights at RWI Resort and it was fabulous!! The grounds are lush and beautiful and meticulously maintained. The entire property inside and out is clean and beautiful! It has a very chill vibe and not a raucous party atmosphere, if that's what you're looking for. There are two lovely pools, one near the bar that has daily happy hour. The restaurant, Pelican Bay, is very nice -- we had a few meals there, though there are some wonderful restaurants within walking distance that you should also try. The beach is gorgeous and there are plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas, with a towel station and shower. They have beach toys, but we chose to go on a snorkel cruise, which the hotel booked for us, and rented e-foils, which you can do right there from the hotel's beach (unaffiliated with the hotel and for $). We upgraded to an ocean view room, which was so worth it! The view was beautiful and it was really nice having a balcony. Our room was huge and very clean and comfortable, with A/C and a ceiling fan, and a good sized bathroom. It also had a fully stocked kitchenette with a microwave and fridge. They don't have water refill stations but you can buy bottles of water at the front desk for pretty cheap. The staff all were wonderful -- so friendly and helpful -- and they really made our stay extra special. With all the options in Grace Bay, we're so happy that we chose to stay at RWI and would highly recommend it!!

Just love how friendly the staff was how clean the room was how awesome the grounds were and all of the flowers and bushes and palm trees and just everything and so well maintained love the grass The whole property is just beautiful. The royal West Indies is unique because it is not a big property and you get to know all of the staff pretty much by name. Highly highly highly recommend the Royal West Indies and would stay there 100 times over.

The staff absolutely sets this resort apart. They were happy, helpful, courteous, and even reattached one of our roller bag wheels when the airline had damaged it. The grounds are beautifully maintained and lush, and all the staff greats you with smiles no matter what they are doing or where you see them.

The housekeeper cleaned every day which is unusual these days! All staff was friendly and helpful with anything you may need. The grounds and pool were immaculate. The restaurant was one of the very best on the island! We never ate breakfast but had lunch or dinner at the restaurant every day then went somewhere else the other meal. The bed was comfortable which is so important to me. My husband and I have no complaints and we have stayed at Royal West Indies 4 times over the past years.

This is our second time staying at this resort, and it had everything we were looking for! We love that it is right on the beach, which was so peaceful and relaxing. Beach chairs were provided, and free bikes to use for a 2 hour window. My only complaint was the mattress/bed in our room was not that comfortable.
The staff were friendly and very helpful, and always had a smile on their faces. We will be back, and will choose to stay here again!

The most beautiful beach I have EVER seen!! Get to where you can't touch bottom and your feet are clearly visible still! The sand is like flour - so soft! Royal West has a private area of the beach - chairs, loungers, umbrellas, and towels are free and do not require a hold the day before, like some places do. The grounds and pool areas are very very nice. I was a solo traveler so I did nothing but the beach, but I saw a lot of water activities. I kind of got an impression that not all of the island is safe. Having said that, I personally had no problems with anyone I encountered. The exception was the taxi from/to the airport. I did a shared ride and they charged me $40 when it should have been $20. Plan on having cash as taxi rides do not take credit. Also, bring plenty of loose cash if you are a tipper. Lots of people handling the stay. On the return flight, go up to the second floor. It says it's a \"club\" but anyone that has been on the island can use it. Much quieter and less hectic than the downstairs. That little tidbit came from a local.

Beautiful stretch of beach, well maintained resort, friendly staff, rooms had plenty of amenities. Loved the “quiet” pool. Also loved the 5-7 happy hour with half priced drinks since drinks are very pricey. Walking distance to some great spots. Never had an issue with finding chairs or umbrellas.

Cons:
Biggest gripe which isn’t the fault of the resort- there is a club down the street that stays open until 2am. The bass thumps until 2am or later. This will impact your sleep if you are a light sleeper, especially if your room is further away from the ocean. Slept with a white noise machine on full blast and could still hear/feel the bass.

Room was clean but had a very musty smell. Only one dining option at the resort and food was just OK. Expensive for what it is but that is everything in T&C.

Comparatively affordable, peaceful and comfortable smaller resort on Grace Bay Beach. Mature gardens, nice pool areas, restaurant and bar (happy hour was great), all rooms have washer and dryer. We had a king studio in building 8 (farthest from beach) which was just fine for us. Staff was courteous and were happy to help. Walkable to restaurants and downtown Grace Bay Area (15-30 min) which was great- we didn’t want to drive. We walked both ways on the beach to other restaurants etc. this resort was about as far east as we’d recommend to remain in the central area.

Fabulous resort from the moment you arrive. Sits on a beautiful stretch of Grace Bay. Not one negative thing to say.
Oceanview room 234 has a beautiful Oceanview off the balcony with amazing sunsets. Kitchenette with coffee pot toaster, microwave, full sized refrigerator plus washer and dryer. Deep soaking tub and shower with incredible water pressure. Pools, hot tubs on gorgeous, well manicured property. On site restaurant is pretty good, too. Fabulous 5-7pm happy hour. Excellent service everywhere you go.

Royal West Indies is my home away from home. Been going back to this resort for 25 years, since it was first built. Beautiful grounds, pools, beachfront. Nice restaurant and bar on site. One of the best prices on Grace Bay, not too big, not too small. Like in the Little Red Riding Hood story, it's just right.

Beautiful resort with all the amenities. Right on the beautiful ocean. A 10 minute walk to restaurants and shops.
The restaurant and bar has amazing food and drinks, as well as great bartenders.
***the only downside is if you are in need of the front desk/security after 11pm , there is no one around until morning. We had an incident of someone trying to get into our room after midnight, and we tried calling the front desk for about an hour with zero response.

Property has 2 areas, the one was a quiet adult only spot and it was awesome. Place was very clean, close to everything in the “downtown” area, restaurants, shops etc. We were right on the beach, chairs, umbrellas and towels were clean and available everyday!

A coupe of things we didn’t like…. Room has laundry, after first night we had to ask for more detergent every time we went to use it. Second they are stingy with towels. Room turn down the service only Gave us 2 new bath towels, had to request additional and had to request wash clothes every day. This is a small inconvenience for an overall fabulous stay.

On our second morning I woke up to find that my arm had been devoured by bedbugs overnight. I called the front desk and asked to change rooms and was told that someone would be checking out of a ground-floor unit at 11 and they would move me into it. So we went to breakfast and returned at 11:30 and were told that our new room wouldn't be ready until 3pm. That was strange, as less than two hours earlier they said the room would be ready be 11, but ok. So we asked if we could use their industrial washing machines so we could wash all our clothes simultaneously in hot water, and they said, \"No, there are washing machines in the room.\" We pointed out that these machines were very small and would take multiple loads to wash all of our clothes, and they simply said that guests couldn't use the large machines.

We returned at 3pm and were led to a 2nd floor room--so that explains the delay. The ground floor room they were going to give us hours earlier would have been an upgrade, because the glass door has pool access. So instead they made us wait four additional hours, with our luggage in a bed-bug infested room.

When we checked out at the end of our stay, I asked for the first two nights to be taken from our bill to account for the hassle, and the hassle ahead of us to make sure that our luggage doesn't introduce an infestation in our house when we return home. They said that they checked our room and there were no bedbugs.

The resort was gorgeous. The pools were quiet and peaceful. The beachfront was stunning with ample umbrellas and loungers available for all (wasn't necessary to reserve in advance or wake up before sunrise to \"claim your spot\"). Plenty of spots available at pool also. The staff was accommodating and kind. We were able to check in 3 hours early with no advance notice. Bicycles were conveniently available.

Gorgeous colors all around the property, flowers everywhere, sprinklers in the morning. The Staff are wonderful and sincere, very accommodating and helpful. The pools are always clean and fresh towels on the path to the beach every day. The location is quiet and no indications of overlooking. The beach is huge with roped swimming areas. Think we saw a shuttle to run guests into the local town. Absolutely beautiful stay, would re-book in a heartbeat...!!!

Great to have a balcony and kitchen- really recommend the resort. Cleaning staff were amazing- our cleaner Marie went above and beyond. Shout out to longchamp and Jackson for being so friendly too. Really good location and very easy to order a taxi at the front desk, who were all really helpful.

We loved everything about Royal West Indies! The food was amazing, the staff was so friendly and got you anything you needed. The free bikes were a plus for getting to restaurants and shops but less than a mile to walk to places. The rooms were cleaned everyday and the direct access to the beach was priceless! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND and would stay here again!

It was a nice quiet place, with little to no amenities. The beach is amazing, thy provide towels, and chairs.
The bar happy hour was supposed to be best on island. I think it is if you’re referring to price. As far as friendly service and good music during happy hour then no.
Breakfast…it took about 20 minutes to get coffee and another 15 to have our order taken. Then an hour before food arrived. And the food was ok.
Reception was not helpful, I was looking to extend out stay and they were not helpful at all to assist so we left and went somewhere else. Not sure I would return as I might be looking for some more amenities as well as better, attentive staff as well.

We had a first floor studio with a nice covered patio that was steps from the adult pool and a 5 min walk to the private beach. Great restaurant on site, Pelican that opened at 7:30 for breakfast, and always had a nice crowd. Our last night they had a lobster fest prix fix dinner that looked great. Very clean and beautiful grounds. Short walk to a lot of great restaurants, Infinity, BLT steakhouse, Ritz Carlton, The Deck etc. can’t go wrong with the location. 15 min walk to Royal Turks golf. Very comfortable queen bed and daily maid service. Only negative is no real TV service, the room had a nice tv but no Netflix, you tube etc and we really couldn’t get the cable to work. Good Wi-Fi so could get texts and make Wi-Fi calls easily. So reset your expectations that way. Bring a nice tablet and good book. Loved it!

No cable service for whole trip despite repair man from cable company coming out 3 days. Only 2 mins of hot water per shower. Bad shampoo. No wash rags. No heated pool. No jet pressure in jacuzzi. People hoarding beach and pool chairs at 7am.

The room was nice but the grounds, staff, and amenities are what really made the trip. Would absolutely stay here again.

The staff, especially at the restaurant, were outstanding. We felt very well taken care of. The happy hour is unbeatable - wonderful selection and prices. The grounds are beautiful, like staying in a botanical garden.
