If I could suggest anything, it would be to offer a few more breakfast options, like eggs and more fruit varieties. It would also be great to have more convenient access to drinking water.

Pool is quiet and you don’t have to wake up at 5am to save a seat. The breakfast is amazing to get your day started but if you are in need of “barista coffee” - you are a quick walk to The Ritz Ritual Coffee.
Beach is a quick walk away and the setup service by the hotel is perfect. Lots of floaties and buckets for the kids and the beach area has multiple restaurants close by. Salerno Restaurant is inexpensive and consistently good.
The kitchen /kitchenette is great and the grocery store is a close walk away. So you can save some money to get quick eats.
The staff is awesome and courteous- while being available 24 hours it seems.
Best place to stay if you don’t need too many amenities and you are here for the beach / pool and some great eats.

My husband and I did a quick getaway and stayed at the Villa Del Mar. We had a wonderful stay, rooms were spacious yet cozy and clean. It felt like a mini apartment on the beach. It was a quick 3 min walk to the beach (which was located across the street thru another hotel). Karon the beach attendant for Villa Del Mar was outstanding he set up our beach chairs every morning and gave us a prime spot. Beaches were the most beautiful we have ever seen and we travel a lot. Hotel staff were amazing gave us advice and assistance when needed. We ate breakfast and lunch across the street at the Grill (ask for Junie) she was the most outstanding waitress and the food was amazing. Bonus if you like hot sauce Junie has her own island hot sauce which is to die for. Freddy the bartender was also spectacular for our daily drinks at the beach. We had a wonderful time and would def stay at the villa Del Mar again. Thank you to their entire staff for making our stay an unforgettable one!!

This was literally paradise on earth. My stay here was amazing, check in was easy and the room was do beautiful. Oliver and Lathenia helped me booked excursions and find food and they were so patient and hospitable. I literally didn’t want to leave. There was the smell of mold and black mold was visible on the sliding door. The place is showing its age from stained cushions, worn away fabric on the couch, worn sood on the interior chairs and baseboards, and dirty bathroom floors. My key did not open the shared door leading to our room and the other occupant kept locking it. The pool did not like clean enough to swim in. The staff was very nice.

Villa del Mar is a beautiful hotel with incredibly friendly and attentive staff. All of the staff made us feel very welcome. The grounds and pools are well kept, even in the slow season. The rooms are spacious, clean and come with many amenities (kitchenette, washer and dryer, balcony). The beautiful beach is a 2 minute walk away, and there is a large grocery store, along with restaurants, cafes, and shops close by (10-15min walk). We were so impressed, and hope to visit again!

Location is as good as it gets for not being directly on beach. Staff was friendly at desk and at bar, but was not really present or busy cleaning facilities during the day. Nobody maintaining pool or asking if you need anything. The beach attendent for the hotels area who also brought drinks was very polite and helpful. Always had chairs and an umbrella when we got to beach. Free breakfast was middling at best. Some fresh fruit or someone to make omelettes would have really made it something to look forward to. Room was clean and very nice. Maids took great care every day while we were out. There's defense room for improvement at this hotel, but it is a very solid option. All inclusives are hit or miss, so I was happy with going out and finding places to try for food.
