Great location for the Cotswolds, easy parking. Breakfast was great, the host was such a kind young man. I’ve forgotten his name but always so helpful and a huge smile on his face and so helpful to his coworkers.

I booked too late for the spa therapies so all that was left was a 25min massage which was disappointing because we were hoping for longer. The massage itself was WONDERFUL! The spa facilities are small, did honestly expect slightly bigger. There was only one lounge chair around the pool area. The spa also functions as a community club so some mornings it was filled with mommy and me swim classes so it limited the times you really wanted to be down there. Not sure if there are any adult only times.

Also had trouble with the TV- it’s meant to be able to stream to so you can use your own Netflix or other services but simply could not connect. It was so much an issue that other guests were discussing it as well. Called the front desk and the receptionist simply said I don’t know much about it and didn’t offer anything else. Could be good to look into that.

Overall still a good stay but had different expectations for the spa side of things.

The hotel itself was great. Room was spacious and clean. Staff were all brilliant. Food in the restaurant was superb.
The only slight negative i can say is that some of the other people in the pool looked extremely annoyed that we had a toddler in the small roped off area that children are allowed in. This is no fault of the hotel or facilities itself.

Off to a sterling start with quick and easy check-in, room was really nice, big, spotless and very comfortable bed. Considering the size of the room, the shower could have been a bit bigger! Otherwise everything was perfect. Good night's sleep.

Up until Breakfast that is which was an absolute shambles! We wandered down just before 9 am considering breakfast went on till 10.30 am to find that they had ran out of such things as baked beans, pastries, muffins and the like. Waited absolutely ages for a re-stock on hot food. So long that someone cleared away our drinks that were still on our table so that when we went back to it it had been re-set!! Not so good. Need more staff on at breakfast time and certainly the kitchen need to be more aware of a full hotel when serving breakfast till 10.30 am not to run out of stuff at 9 am!!

Other than breakfast the stay was great.

Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The bar area was nice and comfortable for a drink, with a good atmosphere. The restaurant served nice food and we enjoyed our meals.

The pool area could have been a little cleaner, and the jacuzzi system was frustrating as it was on a timer, only 4 minutes on and then 10 minutes off, which was quite annoying.
The standout part of the hotel was definitely the breakfast and the breakfast staff, who were excellent.
Overall, yes, we would stay again.

The hotel is excellent other than the restaurant. We stay here regularly on the way to Devon. We tried the restaurant on the way and it wasn't good. Tried again on the way back with 10%discount and had to send the meal back. Next time we stay in July we will dine at the premier inn/beafeater 10mins away

Bit of a mixed experience with this hotel. Generally decent public spaces and our room was spacious and modern.
The spa facilities are underwhelming, and the changing rooms could definitely use a refit. It was difficult to find a locker that locked! Just feels a bit tired overall.
We visited over the May bank holiday to go to the Cheltenham cheese roll event. One would assume the hotel would have predicted that this would be a busy time and staff accordingly. Alas, it was not the case. The queue in the bar for a drink was ridiculous for the two poor bar staff on duty, and we had the same experience in the restaurant.

The first night there was a sign to say no hot food was available, and the second night which we had booked an early seating at 6pm, we sat till 7pm waiting for food. At which point I told the waiter not to bring it if it didn't come out in the next few minutes. It was duly served, and the burger which I figured would be really difficult to mess up was practically inedible. My wifes meal although not bad was just unseasoned and bland.
An extremely disappointing experience.
I do want to state that our complaint is not with the staff, they were running ragged the whole time, and the same is true of the all the staff we dealt with, but the hotel management or whoever runs Q hotels needs to take a look at staffing levels at busy times.
I am aware that maybe on a normal weekend things may have been better, and others may have better experiences.

We chose this hotel because the May bank holiday was forecast to be very hot and we specifically wanted somewhere with an outdoor pool. Expedia advertised this hotel as having one, so we booked and drove over 3 hours — only to find out the hotel doesn’t actually have an outdoor pool. Extremely disappointing.

Things got worse when we discovered the AC in our room wasn’t working in 30-degree heat. A helpful receptionist with long black hair quickly fixed it and explained that whenever the key card is removed, the AC switches off and can only be reset by reception.

The next day, after returning from Cheltenham at 2pm, we asked reception to reset the AC again. The short-haired receptionist rudely told us to wait behind a queue of check-ins, despite the reset taking only seconds. An hour later my wife was told it would be sorted, but 3 hours later the AC was still off. I had to go down again and insist it was reset, only to be snapped at that she was busy and working alone.

Even another guest commented on how rude this was. Regardless of staffing issues, paying guests should not wait 3 hours for a simple fix or be spoken to so dismissively.

I raised the issues with Adrian at checkout, but although polite, he showed little interest in resolving the complaint.

Overall, a very disappointing stay with misleading advertising and poor customer service.

This is an excellent hotel. Have stayed here before and will definitely be back. Staff are absolutely amazing, especially Jack and Maria at breakfast. Breakfast was excellent. Good selection of hot food. The rooms are large, the beds very comfortable and the rooms have everything you need including a fridge. Complimentary water and I especially loved getting biscuits with the in-room tea and coffee. The gym at the hotel is also excellent. Highly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful venue and rooms were lovely, unfortunately the bed wasn’t very comfortable which was a shame, it looked like 2 divans had been put together to make a king size and there was a hard beam running down the middle of the bed.
It didn’t ruin the stay it was just a bit disappointing for such a lovely place.
However the cleanliness was top notch and I felt happy overall.

The room was clean and generally well maintained. The staff, particularly at breakfast were friendly and helpful. The breakfast itself was very tasty and good quality. There was a reasonable selection of breakfast items. Unfortunately we ended up with an interconnecting room, so despite the hotel being advertised as having sound proof rooms, it really wasn’t. We could hear our next door neighbours chatting and they woke us when they returned home late. The pillows were really uncomfortable so we didn’t get a great night’s sleep.

The hotel was lovely but the swimming pool was small and there were children splashing around the who time so not very relaxing.

The waitresses for the meals are not very efficient. We had to wait a long time for our order to be taken. At breakfast, the food was not replenished and it was difficult to find someone to take orders from the kitchen.

Tried to call room service no one answered, call reception and transfer the call still no one answered. The room was a good size, very clean, and the beds were really comfortable, which made for a pleasant stay overall.

However, the hotel allows dogs and unfortunately we were woken up several times during the night and again early in the morning by barking. This was disappointing as we’ve never experienced this in a hotel before.

The pool was dirty and had a very unpleasant smell, and the gym was too busy to access during our stay. With a few improvements, this could be a much better experience.

The first night we stayed in room 140, we had no sleep as there was a loud fan going all night in the room next door. When we reported it to the receptionist the following morning we were told it was a computer room and they would send a maintenance man to investigate. Later that morning we asked if we could move rooms as the noice was still going. We were moved later that day to room 126 and managed a reasonable night sleep. When we left the hotel this morning the noice was still coming from the computer room, it certainly hadn’t been sorted, we think the noice is something that is always there. Last night we phoned down for room service, and after the phone ringing for 10mins and nobody answering we gave up and went out for food, not good service.

Was loverly room spotless. But was annoyed we was told on phone we would get robes and towels. We was told at hotel robes only on spa break. So i could of took my own. Pool and jacuzzi extremely small considering its a members club and spa hotel my spa at home bigger. Dissbled parking was used by non badge holders. car park quite far up! reception when asked replied well there are old ppl and its raining. OLD iS NOT DISABLED and when u need a disabled space you should not have to think of non disabled getting wet. Breakfast was stunning although pastry on pie at lounge bar was rock solid.

couldn’t fault a single thing. From start to finish everything was amazing — the staff were welcoming, friendly, and couldn’t do enough for you. The food was outstanding and easily a 10/10, with great quality and service throughout the stay. The whole place had a brilliant atmosphere and was perfectly suited for a busy race weekend. Execellent place to go relax and take in the beautiful Cotwolds.

This hotel is just perfect for a weekend break or longer. The rooms are modern, clean with all amenities you would expect from a top hotel. Breafast was amazing and the amazing staff prepared eggs for breakfast as we like.

Its located so close to great day vists and if nothingbelse just in the hotel and enjoy the pool and spa and relax at the bar.

We'll definitely be back soon..a great big.thank you everyone at the hotel for making our stay PERFECT !

Have stayed multiple times before but on this occassion the music was loud until 1am (we were not pre warned of this) and the plumbing caused a very annoying vibrating hum for most of the night that resulted in only 4 hours sleep on a night away that was supposed to help us relax and to prepare us for xmas.
