Pool was lovely, and the room size was great.
Breakfast was pretty poor with most of the food cold. The toaster was also broken.
Small fridge in the room was a nice touch although never really got cold enough to cool drinks. Tv was broken and kept turning off after 2/5 mins.

The hotel was lovely but the swimming pool was small and there were children splashing around the who time so not very relaxing.

The waitresses for the meals are not very efficient. We had to wait a long time for our order to be taken. At breakfast, the food was not replenished and it was difficult to find someone to take orders from the kitchen.

The was clean, the bed was bad we had double room. One side of the bed was sink/broken so uncomfortable. Tried to call room service no one answered, call reception and transfer the call still no one answered. So have to go ordered at restaurant for room service and staff argue that never hear the phone ringing (we tried for an hour)

The room was a good size, very clean, and the beds were really comfortable, which made for a pleasant stay overall.

However, the hotel allows dogs and unfortunately we were woken up several times during the night and again early in the morning by barking. This was disappointing as we’ve never experienced this in a hotel before.

The pool was dirty and had a very unpleasant smell, and the gym was too busy to access during our stay. With a few improvements, this could be a much better experience.

The first night we stayed in room 140, we had no sleep as there was a loud fan going all night in the room next door. When we reported it to the receptionist the following morning we were told it was a computer room and they would send a maintenance man to investigate. Later that morning we asked if we could move rooms as the noice was still going. We were moved later that day to room 126 and managed a reasonable night sleep. When we left the hotel this morning the noice was still coming from the computer room, it certainly hadn’t been sorted, we think the noice is something that is always there. Last night we phoned down for room service, and after the phone ringing for 10mins and nobody answering we gave up and went out for food, not good service.

The room was alright, it had some cobweb but since the ceilings are high it didn’t really bother us. The hotel staff were all polite and helpful, amenities such as the spa areas were horrible please don’t book this place if you’re coming down for a nice spa leisure. The best bit was the breakfast spread, it was delightful!

Was loverly room spotless. But was annoyed we was told on phone we would get robes and towels. We was told at hotel robes only on spa break. So i could of took my own. Pool and jacuzzi extremely small considering its a members club and spa hotel my spa at home bigger. Dissbled parking was used by non badge holders. car park quite far up! reception when asked replied well there are old ppl and its raining. OLD iS NOT DISABLED and when u need a disabled space you should not have to think of non disabled getting wet. Breakfast was stunning although pastry on pie at lounge bar was rock solid.

couldn’t fault a single thing. From start to finish everything was amazing — the staff were welcoming, friendly, and couldn’t do enough for you. The food was outstanding and easily a 10/10, with great quality and service throughout the stay. The whole place had a brilliant atmosphere and was perfectly suited for a busy race weekend. Would 100% stay again and highly recommend.

Also I was charged around £33 pounds over on my final bill not sure why as when we checked out they told us there was no charges to our room ! I had specifically booked a king-size bed, but the room had two single mattresses joined together. Upon enquiring, I was told that the hotel does not offer king-size mattresses, which makes the room description misleading. Furthermore, the TV casting facility was not working.

The room didn’t have the extra bed in we sat in bar having a coffee and was told manager was going to come talk to us but this didn’t happen
Asked at reception and was told to go to room where manager was waiting then we had to move room although there was now an extra bed in the original room
When we asked we were told another guest wanted this room with this configuration of beds which as it turns out was the same as the new room
The receptionist I saw when we first arrived was very helpful it’s just the manager who wasn’t

Execellent place to go relax and take in the beautiful Cotwolds.

This hotel is just perfect for a weekend break or longer. The rooms are modern, clean with all amenities you would expect from a top hotel. Breafast was amazing and the amazing staff prepared eggs for breakfast as we like.

Its located so close to great day vists and if nothingbelse just in the hotel and enjoy the pool and spa and relax at the bar.

We'll definitely be back soon..a great big.thank you everyone at the hotel for making our stay PERFECT !

Have stayed multiple times before but on this occassion the music was loud until 1am (we were not pre warned of this) and the plumbing caused a very annoying vibrating hum for most of the night that resulted in only 4 hours sleep on a night away that was supposed to help us relax and to prepare us for xmas.

My fiancé and I spent 2 nights at Cheltenham Chase last weekend. Having read a few mixed reviews I was a little hesitant to book but went ahead and prepared for an underwhelming experience. However my fiancé and I were very pleasantly surprised and honestly our experience significantly exceeded our expectations on a number of levels.

The room was a good size, king or super king size bed and comfortable mattress. Clean and basically well equipped. A lovely countryside view whee ref. Looking above the car park. We had 2 evening meals and 2 breakfasts. All delicious and hot. The spa area was clean and not crowded at any point. At times a little busier than others but some very quiet periods. Absolutely loved the pool temperature, and use of the jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. All great temperatures for me. Shower facilities all good.

We paid a very reasonable price, a little reduced via a hotel app.

Lots of friendly and helpful staff.

The only obvious improvements we would have asked for would have been automatic provision of robes, more information in the room regarding meal options and other info about available services and facilities etc and more info offered at the desk as we arrived.

Overall a great stay and I’m hoping to set up a membership to be able to use the spa facilities regularly which I found incredibly relaxing 👍

Room in good condition and regularly serviced. However heating was not working for first day of stay. Staff provided a heater for our room, but the restaurant was also unbearably cold, so much so our first breakfast there was a misery, and we were relieved to leave the room.
Quality and variety of food at breakfast was not what we were accustomed to in a 4 star hotel.

The room was lovely and spacious and the bathroom was really clean and a pleasure to use. Holy moly was the bed comfy?! And so big I lost my husband! The only downside I would say was that the water glasses were so very small, when I needed a drink I'd have to fill the glass up 3 times! And also, the tiny nescafe coffee sachets are never a joy, quite the opposite. Investing in some better coffee for the rooms would a huge plus! But the yorshire, absolute beauty! The staff were all so fabulous; helpful, charming, polite and a shining example of the hotel's overall quality. We had a fabulous stay and would absolutely consider staying again.

The room was a good size but sadly only one side of the bed had a plug socket and usb, the other side didn't have anything which I found odd. Proves difficult when there are two of you sharing and you want to charge your phone etc. The heating in the room did not work so it was quite chilly although the towel heater in the bathroom was hot which kept that room warm. The pillows were feather so very very soft, even with two and the duvet was also feather which isn't great when you want to snuggle down and you get
We had an evening meal which was perfect, the staff very friendly and attentive, very relaxed atmosphere and the food was delicious. Breakfast was good, although would vmhave been nice to have had a variety of egg, such as scrambled in offer. Very basic breakfast options, sausages, eggs, mushrooms, beans, bacon, roasted tomato, hash brown and fried bread. Continental options were good with a selection of pastries cereal and juices. Overall this was our second stay so we knew what to expect, but perhaps a little more English breakfast options would have been nice.
Parking was OK but with only 6 disabled spaces, we had to park further away which was difficult for my husband. Perhaps more accessible parking. Overall another nice stay.

There was only one negative to the hotel and that is the pool area.

Smallest of small steam room/sauna & hot tub.

Towels given for the pool area had holes in/ mens toilet out of order/smallest of showers in the changing room.

The hotel itself you cant fault and is really decent but when you book a hotel spa and the spa pool area is really poor it effects the over experience.

Bar staff really friendly and helpful with local knowledge. 10/10 for them.

We arrived late on Thursday evening. We stood at the reception having to press the bell twice before any came to check us in. Stood for 5-6 minutes. When we arrived to our room, the kids sofa bed had not been made and we had no sheets, pillows etc for them. Booking a suite with four persons I would have expected the bed to be made up. The breakfast was really nice.

We pre booked a meal in the restaurant only to be told on arrival that there was a conference and the restaurant was closed. We then had snacks in the bar, but on checkout we’re still charged for the full restaurant package. To be fair this was immediately rectified when I pointed out the error. Apart from that the hotel is good as an overnight stop but not a destination in itself.

We booked 3 rooms for 3 nights to explore Gloucester and surrounding area. The hotel was in the perfect location on outskirts. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and good size. The hotels amenities were good too including areas to relax and enjoy a drink in the evening.

The only disappointment was the price of breakfast, £17. Coffe was poor and from a machine. Personally I’d expect better for the price.
Having said this, I enjoyed my stay and would book again when in the area

The hotel was beautiful, evening meal in the restaurant was really nice and enjoyable.
Staff in the hotel were friendly and helpful.
Only downside to our stay was that we paid for early check in and when we arrived we were told that our room was not ready so we had to wait an extra half hour to be able to access our room while it was cleaned and prepared.
We booked a superior king room and should have had bathrobes available however there was not any. We had to ask three times for these and waited an hour for them. The only reason we got them was because the amazing housekeepers took two out of empty rooms.
The pool and jacuzzi are small for the size of the hotel so don’t expect to be able to use the facilities as it does get very busy.
Was overall a good stay but would not recommend for a relaxing spa retreat.

Hotel provide nice service, rooms are comfortable and clean. However they claimed as dog friendly hotel, but there is no single bin to dispose dogs poo, so I had to walk outside hotel quite far to find public bin to dispose black poo bag. There is £25 extra charge for a dog, but you have no extras for your 4 legs friend. No dogs bowls for a water, no treats for a dogs either. Great hotel if you have no pet with you, but wouldn't recommend if you travel with your furry friend

Most staff were unfriendly, not engaging, majority of them miserable! On check out we had one member of staff smile at us. I've never felt so unwelcome in a hotel.
Checked in and had to ask what time breakfast was, where was our room and pay a £50 holding fee just in case I use room service. That wasn't stated in the booking through the site I booked.
Every question I asked I got an eye roll response. I asked receptionist about the bar and food, she said \"menu in the room\" (no menu was in our room). I asked how to get to my room, was told \"the lift behind you\" I looked to see the lift and turned round to say thank you and she was straight on the phone as if my prescence was an inconvenience for her!
I felt like I'd get a better welcome just signing in on a tablet.
Breakfast staff, well, I got to the welcome desk and said my room number, waitress couldn't see it so just said no worries and stared at me, so I asked \"do I just help myself? \" and she said \"yep\".
I asked another member of staff where the toast was as I hadn't spotted it, she rolled her eyes and stated \"over there!\"
The coffee machine broke and I let the same member know and she just looked at me then walked on!

The bed was very uncomfortable and only two pillows provided with no extra in a cupboard, even premier inn have those.
The pillows were lifeless and we had the most uncomfortable sleep!

All in all, I normally walk into hotels and feel welcomed by polite and friendly staff, not here!
