We had an amazing stay at the Hotel. Staff were friendly, room was spacious and clean. Food was better than most Hotels. Highly recommend anyone to stay at this Hotel. 5 Stars from me.

Great hotel, rude breakfast lady

Hotel was great, check in was quick, the room was clean. We stayed there for 2 days. The first day i did not have breakfast. On the second day my husband went to the restaurant, then my kids went, then i went to join the kids. The lady that was replenishing the food was so rude. She told my kids and me that my husband already had breakfast, as in we're not allowed. Then i proceeded to get a croissant and she told me to only get one! I said that I wanted another one. She said something in Dutch and rolled her eyes. I felt like she was the police and i had committed a crime. So rude!
Other than that breakfast was lovely.

We thought this was near the airport , it’s not , it was a $58 cab ride in the middle of no where ! We got to the hotel the front desk girl was very nice, we carried our bags up the stairs to the room and the room was very hot and the windows didn’t open and there was no ac. So it was a sweat box , no way we could stay there ! Complained and they said they could not do anything for me the other rooms that we not in the sun were booked with the 2 beds that I needed, the front desk girl said she was pretty sure they would give me a refund but I have not seen one ! Amsterdam is way closer then this hotel with the misleading name !! Don’t stay here it’s not near anything.

Had a car so it was convenient for a stay near the airport. There is als oa bus terminal a few blocks away, and few restaurants and stores. Quite, clean, and pleasant neighborhood with easy parking.

Kamer was basic enkel in de badkamer ruimte het naar rook, tevens lag er een stapel bierdoppen naast het toilet. Dit had opgemerkt moeten worden door het schoonmaak team. Erg onprettig een riekende badkamer. Klacht ingediend bij de receptie, excuses gekregen.

Excellent place to stop over, would stop again

Reception was friendly and efficient, booking in was easy.

Room was excellent with a fan running which helped as it was hot.

Parking was easy

I didn't eat there as I left too early before the room service breakfast was delivered. You had to choose what you wanted the night before from a great range of food and they would deliver to your room the next morning from 7am.

Area was quiet but it was a little far from the airport and the ticket for the bus is 6.50€ each time. The cleaners do not knock on the door and just enter the room which was an awkward moment for myself.

Nice and very willing, helpful staff. Very nice restaurant facility with a full bar. I ate Filet Mignonn for like $18 usd and tha included my salad, fries and wine. Free breakfast with actual warm eggs and bacon and awesome capuccino machine. I loved this place and the free parking. Thank you for a great stay. Awesome Spa about 2 blocks away with Saunas, pools, massage and beauty facial packs. Great Italian food 2 blocks away with great pizza. Metro and bus access to Amsterdam was easy and cheap and had free parking. The staff was so nice but then again, all the entired population in the NL are just the best in the world. Great cable TV. Honest maid service too. Stay there, its cheaper, safe and good ppl everwhere.

We booked this hotel for one night, to have a place to sleep close to the airport right before an early flight.
The room smelled as if someone smoked there, the TV remote didn't work.
It is very basic, but was good enough for our needs at the time.

My Party of people had 19 rooms booked when we got there only 14
We are compiling a list of all the problems to forward to you it took 2 1/2 hours to book in due to no rooms for us although you had them showing on my account
When we phoned you in UK you said they were all booked but hotel did not have them on their screen.
I am awaiting all the feedback from my party before submitting all our complaints to you.

The hotel is lovely, the service is great and the atmosphere is beautiful. However, the hotel is not as close to Schiphol airport as I thought; and there is *another* Best Western hotel that's really close indeed. So don't get confused because this one is 8kms away from the other one.
Still, the hotel is pretty and they let me and my dog stay there and we had a really good night sleep.

Motel and not Hotel

The positives here are that it was very clean and that the shower water pressure was fantastic. Every other aspect was negative. It was very small, in fact so small that the toilet is at an angle so that the door can close. Literally the sink is in your chest as you use the bathroom. Next the room is ancient, not classical old but dated. Very old and dingy wall paper and hideous carpet. And I could hear the man next door talk on his cell and the kid across the hall cry all through the evening and night. And the smell of cigarette smoke was in my room with the windows closed from the smoking area near the entrance. The bed was barely a full and was hard as a brick. Lastly, there was no elevator so carrying bags was a joke. I am sure that Best Western would not be happy with this place carrying its franchise name. And with the word Airport added to the name of the hotel you would think it would have higher standards.

Beautiful area, bit far from airport

The only problem we had was that the hotel isn't really close to the airport as advertised, however there is a direct bus and it's about 30 minutes to the hotel from the airport with the bus. The staff was very friendly and the hotel clean and comfortable. The area is beautiful and we got to see a different side of dutch living than the middle of Amsterdam.

Hotel in a safe quiet suburb a block away from the Bus station . Amsterdam about 45 min to an hour away . We arrived so late (close to midnight) the first night , franklin the night clerk was so nice and welcoming . Gave us directions to amsterdam and some tips on where to go.

Decent hotel when in a bind

I went there after getting stranded at the airport from a cancelled connection flight. First, it’s not clear, but there are two Best Western Amsterdam Shiphol Airport. This is the furthest one, which has no shuttle. The staff was friendly and helpful, but there was no heat in the room and there “restaurant” has extremely limited hours and options and there is nothing else close-by.

The hotel is one of many Best Western properties...you get what you pay for. The hotel is old, abused, and off the beaten path,but convnient to the airport by car. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the water was hot. I would stay there again for the money.

This was not the holiday we had planned, we arrived at the hotel expecting a clean room and we arrive to bleach stains on the carpet, cigarette burns on the curtains and wallpaper coming off of the wall. Following this we then had to go downstairs to complain to reception which resulted in them upgrading us to a different room which still wasn't a high standard with the hand rail coming off of the wall in the bathroom and still cigarette burns on the curtains and bed..in a none smoking hotel? but even so was an improvement on the room before.
Breakfast was rubbish. Limited choice and personally wouldn't pay to have it again and regret spending the money. Unless your happy with toast and cold meat as your selection??
Location was shocking. 1hour bus ride from centre and nothing really around the hotel.
Wouldn't call it an airport hotel as you have to pay extra for the 'shuttle' to the airport. This was then late arriving to pick us up from the hotel! And wouldn't call it a shuttle, more of a run down car that surprisingly is still running. Smelt horrible inside of damp mould (couldn't wait to get out of it) and had water stains, broken chairs and a dodgy carpet inside.

Wouldn't recommend at all and feel like I wasted my money. Won't be staying again and has put off using the chain of hotels in future.

This hotel was listed as the \"airport Best Western\" however it is not the closest one to the airport. It is hard to find and terrible quality. The hotel is very outdated and dirty. Spend a little extra money and stay elsewhere!

Good hotel in a quiet neighbourhood

Had to spend an extra night after missing our flight, booked this not knowing the location so here it is: Be aware that this hotel is about 15 min drive from airport (50+ euros) and about 50 min bus ride. Bus station is 2 min walk though. Also, there is a straight bus that can take you to Central Station in Amsterdam which is about 45 min away. Clean rooms, helpful staff and quiet area in the suburbs.

Entrance was not well indicated so it was a little hard to find our way first of all. After seeing photos from the hotel we expected more, but we felt more like it was a motel of sorts. Duvet was very thin, one of the pillows very hard and the shower partially broken.

arrived at hotel no food despit board saying otherwise..room okay spoke to the manager in the morning had asked for wake up call..did not happen...no toilet paper in room only two tea bags..two milk sticks manager said the receptionist was new..the phones were needing replaced but there was a digital clock in the ther was not guests usually went in town so it was not putting on staff for two or three guests one night was enough the restaurant l had a meal was fineby

Thought I was booking the Best Western at Schiphol airport with shuttle. After taking the shuttle I find out there are two. The one I booked should not be considered an airport hotel. There is no shuttle unless you call and arrange it. Also it is a 20min drive to Schiphol. The internet add is very misleading.
The staff was very pleasant but the hotel is very run down with old mismatched furniture and painted brick walls. Quite depressing, something I would expect from a motel 6 in Detroit USA.

This hotel needs renovation

Very basic room with old furniture, the door frame of bathroom floor is 5 cm above floor and will hurt you if you are not careful. I will not recommend this hotel anybody travelling with family. The prices are very high compare to what you get. I was given 04 single beds (2.5 feet bed size with small duvet) and kept struggling to keep myself covered all night.

Hotel is a con--the name is \"Airport Hotel\" NO

When I came out to the courtesy bus for Best Western it was the wrong one and I had to get a taxi to go to mine which is NOT an airport hotel. The following morning they supplied a \"shuttle bus\". Total cost to be added to the room rate was another 50euro. Most of the \"airport hotels\" have a free shuttle bus.

Nice enough hotel, friendly staff and easy check-in. Beds were not very supportive and pillows very hard, bed side tables in random places. Worst part was huge tv on wall but all the antenna wiring in pieces behind the desk so no working TV!

Fridge not working, no water to drink in bedroom, not ice in the hotel, dirty room, bathroom, really a bad experience not recommended at all, even in a restaurant located around the area knew by other customers how bad it is. Said that only one person was in charge of cleaning around.

Like something out of The Shining!!

Spooky corridors, my hotel room couldnt get wifi as i was \"just on the edge of it\"....Husband tried to call me but phone in my room didnt work so receptionist had to walk 3 corridors to knock on my door and hand me the roam phone...i then had to walk back 3 corridors to get good reception on the phone and had to have my private conversation in the hallwaypy! The bathroom was nice but room was so shabby. Bedside shelf hanging on a nail... alost falling off. The hotel is in desperate need of renovations...creepy corridors. Not really near the airport...took approx 25 mins to drive there.

Not an Airport hotel and awful Customer Service

The hotel should not be called an airport hotel. It is at least 30 minutes away from the airport and the customer service is very poor. I had a reservation for 2 nights and had problems with my commute so could not make it on time for check in on my first day. The following day when i tried to check in they did not respected or honor my reservation, they left me out without hotel and apparently had no more rooms available so I moved to a closer area to the airport where there was another best western hotel, staff was nicer and even when I had to pay the experience was very different, they also mentioned that many customers are confused because they have almost the same exact name but they are really the ones closer to the airport.

I am just amazed that even when having a paid reservation they would not honor it or provide an alternative.

Initially I went to the wrong best western. Also near the airport with almost the identical name. Be careful. The courtesy bus came to the wrong best western and relocated me. Staff at both motels were incredibly polite and supportive. I just need a room for the night and this was perfect.

Beautiful place, only far away from the airport!

The hotel was perfect. From the size of the room, cleanliness, the staff, breakfast and wifi connection everything was perfect. The only issue was I booked this place due to a 5:30am flight check-in thinking it would be close to the airport. It is 15 minutes away by car, however if you have luggage and you're using public transport, it is 2 bus trips away and there is no shuttle bus. Other than the transport issue, I loved everything about the place, specially the lovely and helpful staff! They actually organised an early morning taxi for a good deal for me to make it to my flight.

Ok overall but my opinion not an 'airport' hotel

We booked this hotel as it was 'an airport' hotel however it is miles from the airport and there is no shuttle bus from the airport we ended up at the wrong best western hotel. You could book a transfer back to the airport for €25 which we did and that was ok. Overall the hotel was ok, room was nice but no restaurant on site and the bar shuts early.

THE STAFF WERE GREAT. THE FOOD WAS WONDERFUL.

ONE THING I NOTICED WITH MY BILL THO IS THAT THE RECEIPT SHOWED ALL THE NUMBERS OF MY CREDIT CARD. MOST PLACES ARE BEING MUCH MORE PRUDENT AND SHOWING ONLY THE LAST 4 NUMBERS FOR SAFETY REASONS. IT IS NOT AN \"AIRPORT HOTEL\" TO ME HOWEVER AS IT IS 25 KILOMETERS FROM THE AIRPORT AND NOT VERY HANDY.

Not near airport.

Name of motel is Best Western Airport. It was no where near the airport, had to walk 3-4 blocks to catch a bus to airport. We booked this motel so we would be close to airport to catch a flight to France in the morning. It took longer to get to airport from there then it did to take a bus from Amsterdam to the motel(would have been faster to stay in Amsterdam). It list complimentary shuttle to airport but it cost more than $25 (bus was $4). It had an onsite restaurant but was closed on Sunday and Monday, which was not mentioned in the advertisement. We were booked for Sunday. From 2-3:00, no one is available at the desk for any assistance. We just started walking to find a place to eat.

Basic but ok

Thus hotel is pretty basic. Probably because it was pretty cheap. We only wanted somewhere to rest our heads before heading back to the city center (Amsterdam ). One important point to note is that; even though it's advertised as \"Airport Hotel\", it is almost one hour by bus and twenty minutes by car; €10 & € 80 respectively To get to the centre. All in all the stay was ok but in future I would pay a bit extra to be closer to the city and pay less for taxi or bus.

I should have believed others when I read the reviews, however, I was in desperate need of a double room at late notice.

When I arrived at the hotel I was told that the Expedia booking only secured the room and that I would need to pay on card, and although I queried it they were insistent.

And low and behold when I received my bank statement it was clear that I had been charged twice and still over a month later I haven't gotten a refund from either party.

DO NOT STAY HERE

At first a bit misleading as to location.

I booked this hotel for my first two nights and last night in Europe. We flew in and out of Amsterdam since it had a direct flight from our home airport Portland International. I selected Best Western Uithorn (pronounced outhorn) Airport hotel. I assumed that it was near to the airport and would have a complimentary airport shuttle. Upon arrival we caught the shuttle to the Best Western. Only it wasn't the right one. The free shuttle did not go to our hotel. We ended up taking a cab to ours. It turned out that other than the original finding of the hotel it was a much better location than the other. It also has a 25 Euro (one way) shuttle available on request. The bus service from Uithorn to central Amsterdam was very convenient. Sure, you can stay right in the center of Amsterdam, but the rate at the Best Western Uithorn was much thriftier. From the airport take the #300 or any other that is going to the Amslelveen Busstation an transfer to the #170 going towards Uithorn. At the Uithorn Busstation it is only a two block walk to the Best Western. Make sure to buy the all day ticket from the bus driver at the airport as they do not offer transfers. The ticket will then be good to take the bus back to Central Amsterdam as well as ride any bus or city tram as well for that day.

disappointing

to call it an airport hotel is totallly wrong as its too far form airport and does not provide airport pick and drop. I called a day before but the hotel refused to provide airport pick up and taxi charged 40 Euros, the taxi called through hotel next day for drop also charged 25 Euros. so one must add abou 65 euros ie us$ 82-85 in room price if it is just for transit stay.

size of room is too small and height is also low.if a 6 feet tall person stands for shower his head almost touches bath room roof.

the reception closes at 2300 hrs and if your flight is after this time tough liuck.

the hotel barely qualifies to be 2 star but is shown as 3.

nothing to eat in hotel or 1 mile around if you reach
after 10 pm.

One expects much better from the name \"best western\"
furniture very old.

Very Bad Experience

Be careful when booking the Best Western Amsterdam Airport Hotel as there are two hotels with the same name. The hotel in Uithoorn is not at all close to the airport, and when you arrive and find the shuttle it will take you to the close Best Western Amsterdam Airport Hotel. There is no shuttle for the Uithoorn hotel and it requires a taxi ride which adds 30 euros for a one way trip. Expedia is not clear about this on their site. Additionally Expedia's fees for booking are excessive. We paid 188 eruos through Expedia and were told at the hotel that the rate was 140 euros. Overall the room was OK, but definitely not worth the hassle of getting to and from the airport.

Its not an airport hotel

This is being wrongly advertised as an airport hotel. It costs 80 euro to travel to and from the airport to schipol.
