I stayed at the property for four nights as a solo female traveller. The location is great - easy train ride from the airport and close to the metro for general sight seeing. I stayed close to the hotel in the evenings and found plenty of restaurants and bars. Some of the amenities are a little tired - just as the grouting in the shower and dead bulbs in the light feature - but overall was great for the price. One point to note is the “bar” that referred to is just a seating area and drinks are not served. That being said, the local supermarket had plenty of wine options

I like to underline the kindness and warm attention from the staff, in particular Gino and Sohrab. It is very very special and appreciated. Thank you again.The location is near by the beautiful Jardin du Luxembourg (5 mns walking distance) with multiple dining opinions closed by and access to subway.

While the rooms are quite artistically designed, they are not in good repair. Our room had a questionably-mounted TV, the shower handle repeatedly popped off the hose it was attached to for the bathtub, and the battery for the door lock failed - not just locking us out for an extended period of time while the staff tried to figure out the problem, but also causing the housekeeping to skip our room (and presumably not reporting the problem themselves).

Note that the bathtub rooms do NOT include a shower curtain, so you will be spraying off in the tub and not able to get a \"proper\" standing shower.

The desk staff was very good though.

Lovely little hotel in a great area with exceptional staff. The beds were very comfortable and the room quiet. The shower itself was amazing (six body jets, a handheld shower head and rain shower) it just needed a little TLC. But the staff cleaned our room every day, replenished the coffee pods and switched out the towels too. I loved that it was on a quiet side street but very convenient to the hustle and bustle of Paris. I would stay again!

The Apostrophe is an ideally located small marvel.

The Apostrophe is a small but mighty place to stay. The bed was very comfortable, the aircon was efficient. There is a good bar fridge in the room. While it was a small room, there was a very good use of space, so it didn’t feel small. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Very good value for money, and very conveniently located.

However, I was given a room next to the lobby check-in area, the only room in that small space and on the ground floor, which made it very noisy. It also felt less private than I would have liked. If booking, highly suggest requesting not to have the ground floor room.

We had a lovely 10 night stay at boutique hotel Apostrophe. With only 16 rooms, each room has a different theme. Our room was themed \"Spectacle\" (the show), which was appropriate for us as we attend many spectacles back in the U.S. and in Paris. We had 3 different Metro stations near the hotel, all within walking distance, many boulangeries, brasseries and restaurants to choose from as well. We most enjoyed our nightly conversations with concierge, Geno, recounting our daily travels and providing recommendations for food, places to see and his assistance with our français. We loved our stay and will return on our next trip to Paris. If you are looking for a quiet, smaller hotel, with many things to do around the area, definitely consider Apostrophe!

The property was fine and average for Paris. It was totally clean and charming, but small. What irritated us was the shower; it was almost useless. It was a tub with no curtain or door set against one wall, about 7 feet from the bed (it’s a small room). There was no shower mount, so taking a shower means standing naked and wet in the room where your partner is doing whatever they are doing, holding the shower with one hand while you try and wash your hair with the other without hosing down the entire room if you rotate the shower head in the wrong direction. Which was impossible. If you only want baths, go for it- there were bubbles and disco lights in the bath, which I guess is where they spent their shower curtain budget. This was, to be fair, not the same in all rooms (this was the Alphabet suite). My parents room had a normal but small shower.

All in all, the hotel is good, but don’t get the alphabet suite if you want to get up and take a shower in the morning.

This hotel is a gem in the middle of Paris. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was great. It’s in an area where there are lots of restaurants that are close and there is a market 2 blocks away. It’s a short taxi ride to all of the main attractions. I’m staying here the next time I come to Paris.

We stayed at Apostrophe Hotel for a week during the olympics; the hotel is located in a fantastic neighbourhood, close to 4 transportation lines so it was very easy to get around the city. Upon check-in, the receptionist gave us a map and showed us the easiest way to get to the Paris points of interest which was very helpful.

Our room is clean overall however we did find some hairs under the covers our first night. We did not complain because the sheets were clean every night thereafter. There is a large bathtub in the room with us and a separate room with the toilet.

Note: there is no shower. This was a surprise to us as we had to take a bath everyday, there is a shower head attached to the bath tub but nowhere to hang it for a shower (and no curtain to prevent the water from splashing out into the bedroom area). The tub fills slowly so we had to factor in an extra 20 minutes per person’s regular morning routine. Keep this in mind if you’re normally a shower person as we did find it to be an inconvenience.

Note 2: this is a boutique hotel and you are required to leave your key at the front desk each time you leave. This was not a major hindrance however sometimes when we return to the hotel we found ourselves waiting 10-20 minutes just to pick up the key because the receptionist was busy with other guests.

Overall our stay was very pleasant and outside of the no standing shower we would stay again!

This property was wonderful. Clean, secure, comfortable. In the middle of the action on a quiet side street. But what made it outstanding was the staff. They were kind and helpful. Gino made sure my breakfast was ready first thing as I’m an early riser. It was prepared with care and a smile. A fabulous thing at the crack of dawn! I highly recommend staying here. My husband and I spent 10 days in Paris at the Apostrophe Hotel in December 2023. The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful! They made us feel very welcome. The hotel's location is perfect, near Vavin Metro station and the RER at Port-Royal, making it easy to get around the city and to CDG airport by train (from Port-Royal.) Each of the 16 rooms has its own theme: we stayed in the Music room. I would definitely stay here again.

Amazing stay!

My husband and myself celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary in Paris. Everything from the time we walked into the front doors of this hotel was amazing! The front desk staff were super friendly and accommodating, they even helped with directions to transit.
The location is perfect, lots of great restaurants in short walking distance. Also close to many of the attractions in Paris. My husband and I walked to the Eiffel Tower from the hotel,it is about a 45 minute walk.
We will definitely stay at this hotel again when we visit Paris

I loved my stay here. I'd like to talk about some pros and cons:

- GREAT location. Five minutes away from M4, M6, and the line to get to the airport. Amazing. There were so many restaurant and bar options, and as long as you speak a little French they are super accommodating and very fun!
- Provides FREE water refills, and the book claimed they had charging adapters (although we didn't need them). Good amenities in general.
- Staff is amazing. All of them provided service above and beyond. We got recommendations and great service.
- The room is cozy. There is an adjustable thermostat and fluffy blankets.

Cons:
- I honestly do not feel it was a con for us in particular, but it may be for some people. The toilet room which is separate is very small, but the shower is in the middle of the room. So when you get out there is no privacy. Make sure you're comfortable with the person you're traveling with!
- I personally didn't like the pillows. I didn't think they were horrible but not great either.

All in all, we enjoyed our stay and will absolutely stay here again when we return to Paris. Thank you for a great stay!

The room was a little different from the American hotels I am used to, but still fun and stylish.

The location was great. Several bakeries, and restaurants in every direction. Many shops, pharmacies, and grocery stores were nearby.

We also were able to walk to places like the Eiffel tower, Louvre, Luxembourg Gardens within 15-25 minutes. You could also take the metro to shorten the time.

I would definitely stay again and would definitely recommend!

Lovely and great location

We loved this place. I have limited French and both concierges we worked with were wonderful, working with my French and translating when I couldn't follow. Both were very helpful with local information and questions.

The room was very fun, musically themed. It was a cozy double but plenty spacious for a home-base while exploring the Montparnasse area of Paris. Loved it and the location.

Pretty decent property. Location is great. There are several things to consider when making your choice...
Property management wants you to leave room key at the reception desk when you are not in the room, which was a deal breaker for me. I communicated it to the management, and they understood.
All rooms appear to be unique and go by names, not a number. Room's interior, while nice and clean, would be a disaster if my daughter would tag alone. There is no privacy when you take shower: one is literally on display... Toilet, on another hand, is a separate room separated by another tiny room.
Room was clean, contained closets, nice comfy bed and safe. No ironing board. Rooms are advertised as sound proof, but I could hear people above me, the same as people below me most likely heard me as well.
Please consider that hotel is located right next to the university or student living quarters. I spent at the hotel 4 nights. There was a loud music and voices on Friday that I didn't put too much thought to, but. Saturday night was a nightmare with extremely loud music, singing and loud talk close to 2 am. Apparently nothing could have been done... TV would not cover the noise at all. I passed out from exhaustion at some point, so cannot tell when it was over... I consider overpaying for the property for that reason.
Overwise, if you are inclined to long walks, you can reach many places, including Louvre (about 30 mins).
Reception workers all were very friendly and helpful.

We stayed at the Apostrophe on the basis of the great reviews on Expedia and we were not disappointed. We arrived about 1 p.m. on a Saturday and the room was available. After three weeks of places without air conditioning, the cool room was very welcome. We had not stayed or visited the Montparnasse neighborhood in prior trips to Paris but found it a great place for walking dining and afternoon drinks as well as accessing the Metro to get around Paris. Benedetta could not have been nicer or more helpful during our stay. She and Isabelle had several excellent recommendations for us. We were in Paris for the conclusion of the Tour de France and the cyclists passed within a few blocks of the hotel on their way to the Champs Elysees - an added bonus! We'll be back for sure.

We just stayed at Apostrophe hotel for 9 nights and had a great time. The staff is amazing! The neighbourhood is great, tons of restaurants to eat and drink at. RER and metro stops very close by. The street is quiet and we felt very safe and very welcome. People think that the rooms are on the smaller side but this did not bother us at all. Ours didn't feel small compred to some other hotels in other big cities. There was a kette in our room and you can buy espressos downstairs. There was a fridge in the lobby where you can chill a bottle of wine and ice is available. If there's anything that you need, just ask and the staff members will go out of their way to help. Great time, recommend and will stay again next time in Paris.

Loved our stay at this hotel. Isabella and the rest of the team were extremely welcoming, friendly, warm. We felt very safe at this hotel and would definitely recommend. It is close to all the main attractions in Paris, many within walking distance, and was easy to catch an Uber to Disneyland, Versailles. There is also a wide variety of restaurants to choose from nearby. The only complaint about our stay would be the bath tub situation. I believe there are rooms with a full shower you could request which I would do if we ever return.

My partner and I stayed here for the first half of our honeymoon. We stayed in the Alphabet Amoureux room and it was beautiful. They prepared the room with a big heart on the bed in rose petals. It was such a sweet surprise. The staff took their time explaining to us where to go, what metro stations to use, and how to get there, which we really appreciated! The location of this hotel is soooo nice! There are amazing restaurants with outside seating just steps from the hotel. Metro lines were an easy 5-10 minute walk depending on where you want to go. There’s grocery stores and pharmacy’s right around the corner. The best part of the location is how close it is to the Luxembourg gardens. A 5ish minute walk to one of the most beautiful places in Paris. The only thing we wish was different about the hotel was that we wish there was a mini fridge but it really wasn’t the end of the world considering everything else this beautiful, cozy hotel had to offer. Thank you for making our honeymoon extra special! :)

The Hotel Apostrophe was perfect for us (a retired, physically active couple who are familiar with Paris and speak French). The location close to boulevard du Montparnasse offered so much in terms of places to eat, close proximity to bus and metro stations and a short walk to our favourite place in all of Paris, the Jardin du Luxembourg. The staff was exceptional, every one of whom was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and ready to go the extra mile to ensure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Our room was exactly as we’d expected after looking online at the hotel; a continental breakfast was brought to our room each morning at the time we requested for the low sum of 10E/person/day; it was cleaned at a time that was convenient to us; and we felt very at home. We’ll definitely return.

This was an amazing hotel to stay in. I have stayed in many hotels but this was the cleanest by far. The room was fabulous with great decor and an amazing jet shower. I am now going to try to stay in each of the other rooms at some point. The staff at reception were very kind and went out of their way to help when they could. Benedetta on reception was able to tell me an interesting story about the room I stayed in. I will definitely stay here again. One little oversight is no refreshments tray in the rooms but you can buy coffee for 2 Euros at the reception area.

If you’re looking for a unique and stylish place to stay, Apostrophe Hotel is definitely worth considering. The rooms are small but very cozy and clean, the staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is perfectly situated, close enough to the main attractions of Paris but outside of the busy and crowded streets.

Mehhh…

I was very excited about the chromo baths they advertised and when we arrived our bath tub was very dirty and we didn’t even use it. I didn’t trust it. The rooms are very small and we awoke to loud construction next door with loud hammering. The overall sense of the hotel is that it’s not that clean.

We absolutely loved staying here and would recommend it to anyone. It is in a very convenient location for several metro stations, and is walkable to anything you want to see. The room was spotless and in great condition when we arrived. The staff is willing to go above and beyond to make sure you have a pleasant stay and you have everything you need. They are happy to recommend restaurants and transportation options nearby. We will definitely stay here again whenever we have the opportunity to return to Paris!

Sweet stay in Montparnasse

The staff was C’est super! Very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well appointed. We did run out of toilet paper twice during our short stay and clean towels were not provided when the room was cleaned. Overall, positive and would recommend to others!

The staff is wonderful. We arrived a bit before checkout and they had the cleaner clean the room so we could move in. The morning breakfast in our room was great with lots of options and the hot items were hot, the cold items were cold. It's off the beaten path but within easy walking distance to everything in Florence.

gem of a hotel in the heart of Paris

Staff blew me away, they are extremly friendly, knowledgable and compassionate.
I spend a woderful working week at the hotel and was treated amazingly.
I would definately recommend this gem of a hotel and would have no hesitations in returning.
Paris was extremely accessible and public transport was everywhere

Very good little hotel and good value for Central Paris. Very clean with comfortable beds and all the basic amenities. Given the reasonable price, a great choice with super-friendly and helpful front-desk staff.

Very nice hotel, good value, with one caveat

The staff is wonderful, the rooms clean comfortable and rather quiet. The entry, architecture and breakfast solution do put it slightly on the low side of 3 star for me but it is good value. My one caveat is the bath/shower. I, like some people, prefer a shower curtain and there was none to keep the water in. That also means holding the shower head, no choice and taking care the whole time. It's not a huge problem but it is a point I take into account when choosing a hotel.

Excellent Hotel for Romantic Vacation

OMG we absolutely LOVED this place! The staff was just so kind and friendly, they were always available to help us with anything we needed. The rooms were decorated with very cool themes and were very comfortable. Great location too, walking distance to metro and lots of great restaurants. The neighborhood is also very safe and comfortable, we got lost there after sunset and never felt scared at all. Can't say enough good things about this place, we will definitely return!
