The room was clean and bright, practical modern amenities for travelers, even clothes drying racks, kitchen with all essentials. Nice infusion tea and sweets in lobby. Comprehensive breakfast buffet with gluten and dairy free choices, fruits, eggs, meat, pastries, bread, yogurt. Very friendly and helpful front desk and dining area staff.

First, the staff was really friendly and attentive. The breakfast and location were also perfect.
The challenges came with:
- parking (a heads up about how to access the hotel before the stay would have been helpful. It was not intuitive and very tight to get in)
- cleanliness and room layout: for a family of 4, the room was tight and the cleanliness was questionable
- communication about hot water being out of order. For 2 out of 3 nights, we had no hot water. When I asked, I was told it was a neighborhood problem, which I can understand. I just wish I'd known about it before going through 2 cold showers.
Overall, location is great and the team was truly caring, but not a 4 star stay.

The property was a good value close to the square of Aix De Provence. It was nice having breakfast available each morning. The front desk staff and woman who helped with the breakfast area were lovely. There is a kitchen with a large refrigerator in the room. There is a parking garage that is a bit tricky to find your first time. The clearance and spaces are narrow. It is helpful if you rent a car to get something small. The security seemed very good and we felt safe.

The air conditioning was perfect. Hotel is interesting as it is home style living. The beds weren’t the most comfortable, and we had to keep asking for toilet paper and towels as it doesn’t seem they clean each room every day of your stay.

Great property as a family of 4 to have a small apartment with 2 rooms and a kitchen. It was modern, clean and had a nice daily buffet breakfast. It was also lovely to have a large balcony with a table and 4 chairs plus a lounge chair that overlooked a beautiful courtyard.

Overall, the hotel was great. Good staff at reception. The room cleanliness was fairly poor: we didn’t use the kitchen and only in the last day of our stay did we find out that the trash bin wasn’t cleaned up after the previous guests. Fortunately, it was only dry trash and didn’t smell.

While the hotel is close to the train station, the surrounding area feels unsafe due to the presence of questionable individuals, especially in the evenings. It’s also quite noisy at night, making it difficult to rest.

I loved the Adagio! My stay was much longer than the 2 nights I booked through Hotels.com. i was there for six weeks! The location is walkable to transport, tourism office, restaurants, and any other service you might need. The rooms are comfortable with small kitchens that are well-stocked. Any supplies you might need between cleanings are available for the asking. The staff - Ann, Patricia, Hugo, Barbara, etc., are wonderful - friendly and helpful. There is parking below the hotel.
My room had a view of the countryside and Ste. Victoire. Breathtaking. If I were to return to Aix, I would stay here!

This place is well located - 5 minutes walk to the old town. The staff and friendly and helpful, breakfast was good and the big draw for us was the laundry facility. The rooms are a bit oddly laid out, and there's scarcely any room to step out beside the bed.But overall I'd recommend it and we'd go back.

Excellent staff at front desk, very friendly and efficient. Room was very large, with a nice bathroom & shower. Location was great, easily walkable. Parking was on site, with large spaces for a mini-SUV. FYI, tight turns to get inside. Our only downside was we were the first door beyond the lobby, next to the saloon doors in the hallway. They were very loud, every time someone went by them. Just request a room not near them.

The staff was very nice. The decor and condition of the property reminds me of Holiday Inn in the 90's when it was circling the drain. The area was like an abandoned industrial park in a slasher film which says \"Don't come in here\". A truly unpleasant experience.

We used the hotel as our base. We then travel around during the daytime and we eat around Aix in the evening.
The hotel is very central and the staff are so friendly and will help and guides if and when needed.
There are plenty variety breakfast foods to cater for everyone. There’s a terrace sitting area as well.
We really have a very lovely staying here. Thankyou to all the staffing at Aparthotel Adagio.

This must be the quietest area in central Aix. And we enjoyed the convenience of a five minute walk to the centre and three minutes to the nearest supermarket. And everything else, including museums, in short walks. The heat in Aix in mid June was even more than usual, but a/c worked except that we were on the top floor so it was a struggle. Very pleasant and helpful staff.

No sleeping because of faulty fire alarm

Fire alarm went off for long time at 4 in the morning. We went down running and then couldn't sleep again. The hotel offered free coffee which is outrageous given that we paid a hotel to sleep and could do it because of a technical failure. They should reimburse this night to the residents!

This was a great apartment right next to the center of Aix, 5 min walk from La Rotonde. The place looked newish and fresh and everything was convenient. The staff was very nice and helpful. Best of all: the parking in the basement for a reasonable 10EUR per day.

We spent one night in Aix before our trip through Provence. The hotel is small and in a very narrow one-way street. There is an underground garage, but you have to be a professional driver to fit the car, any car, through there. I was able to finally make it after 3 tries. The check in process was easy, but after that you are on your own. I had to care 3 suitcases and the extra towels they gave me on my own. The corridor was very filthy. As we entered the room, which was a “suite”, we saw that the “suite” had two compartments, one with a TV and a filthy sofa, where my 10 yo son was supposed to sleep. The other one had a queen bed, where we and our daughter was supposed to sleep. There was maybe one foot space around the bed. The bathroom was alright and there was a separate toilet near the entrance of the room. Location was not bad to visit the city. Breakfast? Interesting area with little to offer. If I ever visit Aix again, I am pretty sure I will look at other options first.

Very convenient location just 5 mins walk from Cours Mirabeau. Twin room with kitchenette area was excellent & we were well provided with crockery, cutlery & other utensils. A balcony or terrace would have been nice but there was a small communal terraced area on the ground floor to sit out in the evening which was pleasant.

I loved the apartment, and it was equipped with all we needed. Bedroom with a pull out couch. Both comfortable. Kitchen was awesome; too bad we didn't use it. Shower was great. Downstairs lobby was super. Foosball table was a nice touch. Breakfast was very good, even though I'm not particular to cold scrambled eggs. I also did appreciate the laundry, which I used. Location was convenient, especially to the local university where we dropped off my son for his semester abroad. Staff was impeccable and able to translate everything into English for me. Would definitely come back and recommend it to others

This was an excellent choice of hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful, facility is clean, new, and rooms a spacious and comes with a kitchen. Wifi was fast. Great location too, walking distance to everything, yet removed enough from town center that it's quiet at night. It's an \"aparthotel\" which means it's basically half hotel-half apartment, so housekeeping only comes in once a week, which is fine. The \"double bed\" we got are actually two singles pushed together, FYI.

Tip: When in France, always stay at an \"aparthotel\" rather than just a hotel because you will get a much bigger room AND a fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen comes in handy when you buy goodies from the farmer's market (cheese, rotisserie chicken, spread, bread...so many good things), so you can bring it back to the hotel and have a little feast.

Efficient space with plenty of storage,a well supplied kitchen, and a kind staff.
If you have issues getting in and out of a tub, you might want to see if there is something available with a walk-in shower, as the high sides might cause older people with mobility problems trouble.

Excellent aprthotel located in the old city. Many nearby locations including restaurants, bistros, cafes, museums, shopping, boulageires, etc. Grocery store within 100 m to stock up on food. Well equipped kitchen with utensils, china etc. They offer a breakfast but we chose to eat in. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and helpful. Also within walking distance to intercity bus which you can take to other cities such as Marseille, Avignon. Bus system is well organized, cheap and easy to navigate. This was our second stay at Adagio and will definitely return.

Fabulous place. Near centre and 10-15 mins walk from bus station. Lovely helpful staff.
Room (for 4) was so well equipped, comfortable, well decorated and immaculately clean with an outside balcony overlooking a lovely garden/relaxing space (equipped with deck chairs etc if you don't have a balcony). I'd definitely stay again.
If home builders took this as a blueprint for young, first-time buyers they'd be on to a winner. So much storage and everything you need in a small space.

The location is excellent! quiet yet, close to the centre, a grocery store,, two patisseries I would say a couple of the front desk staff were less that friendly. Upon our check in , she was wonderful....another at check out, rude. A lovely garden area to relax in the sun or enjoy a snack. Laundry on site and parking (tricky to manouvre but on site for $10 per night. This was our 3rd stay over many years. The property has been nicely updated; great wifi , very comfortable bed/pillows and a well stocked kitchen. We stayed in apartment 123 (with a balcony). The offer for fresh towels should include dish cloth/towel, bath mat & more toilet paper.

Chose the Adagio because of the central location and based on the reviews.

They have thought of everything people may need. Our studio room had ample floor space and heaps of storage. Comfy bed with a small balcony over looking a pleasant lawn with trees and raised beds.

A big plus for us was the quietness of the hotel. We didn't have the breakfast but it was reasonably priced compared to other places we stayed.

We stayed for 4 nights and ate at a different restaurant each time, cannot recommend any sorry. We struggled finding anywhere that didn't serve tapas, pasta, or burgers and all very average.
