Easy to find, lift to 8th floor a little messy.
Hotel lobby was clean, welcoming and had refreshments. My room was a good size. View on the side of another apartment block. So need to keep the curtains closed in the evening.
Fridge didnt work, coffee machine had the wrong size pods, the hair dryer kept cutting out and had sellotape atound the button.
The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was nicely decorated.
However the walls had many scuffs, paint defects and a few areas of peeling wallpaper.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
The tram stop 2 minutes from the hotel. Number 26 to Central Amsterdam so very convenient.

Throughout my entire stay, the shower drain in my original room was completely blocked, resulting in 1.5 inches of standing water in the shower after every use. I later discovered that this water was contaminated with feces and other excrement, meaning I had been showering while standing in infested water for two full days. I have seen numerous other reviews claiming the same thing about standing water in the showers that are dated to several months back, so this is a recurring issue that they haven't fixed and it finally resulted into what happened next.

On the third day of my stay, while I was in the shower, feces and other excrement suddenly erupted from the drain, splattering all over me. This incident was utterly disgusting.

Following this, I was relocated to a room on the 7th floor. However, this new room and the entire floor had awful smell that began the moment the lift doors opened. Every time I approached or entered my room, I had to cover my nose to tolerate the smell (and I could still smell it with my nose covered). This may be caused by the above drainage issues.

Finally, the next day after this whole fiasco, I asked for a full refund. The general manager said she could only offer me two days refunded as I already had 'two good days with no problems.' Well, thank you for giving me two excrement-free days, unfortunately you could not keep the streak going on the third.

Hotel ground floor entrance was not particularly inviting or inspiring, it is down an alleyway which was not illuminated at night and there was a lot of building work going on. That said, the hotel itself, which is on the 7th and 8th floor of the building, was much more inviting. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms were very clean and spacious. Overall, would definitely stay again.

Small room, good view...until they finish the building next door.
Air conditioning didn't work, staff not very helpful and I suspect they knew: I had to insist to get someone to look at the settings, when someone from maintenance said it was not working indeed. Even with two fans, the room was hotter than the car park.
Locals don't have a good opinion of the hotel, here is why.

Rooms without hotel hospitality

Experience - Construction work next to Amadi Panorama meant that we were woken up very early in the mornings from the extremely loud noises. We asked for another room facing the city instead because of this issue and were initially told that we could only to be denied later after wasting time waiting around for the check-in time. Bathrobes were missing from our rooms and when asked for were told they would be sent to our rooms - no such luck there either. The front desk staff are polite but unfriendly and the owner/manager makes sure his presence of intimidation is observed.

Luckily it was only a 2 night stay - but without the rest and no peace/quiet.

The positive - clean.

Conclusion - Not fit for a business trip if phone calls/online meetings want to be made from room and not fit for a quick leisurely trip if you want to sleep past 7am.

The hotel was horrible. Full of cobwebs and dirt. The walls were all scratched up and damaged. The advertisement claims a see view however that is not the case.

It’s also hard to find as the building shown on the picture not it, it’s connected to that.

When i checked in obviously the person on the reception has to clear all the formalities for check in. He gave us the false information and taken the deposit of 82 Euros which he told we will get on check out and now today when i was checking out, the other person on the reception refused to give it back because he said you got the wrong information and i will give you back on 35 Euros like seriously? Very disappointed service as i was having high expectations from this hotel.. Terrible experience and never gonna come back to this hotel.

After a terrible day of travelling we arrived at the hotel to be subject to terrible customer service. My son had booked through a 3rd party booking agent who had requested a single room instead of a double. The hotel receptionist offered NO help at all to get this sorted, telling us they were full and couldn’t offer another room. After no help to get this sorted, I ended up booking a junior suite which was miraculously available, despite being told they were full up. Escalated to the manager but again no support - it’s not their problem. Sullied the stay. Won’t return and won’t recommend.

My experience was a noisy room, blocked toilet, smelly drain, mini bar fridge not working, and very awkward entrances which mean you have to go up to the 8th floor for reception and then walk through reception to go to a different lift down to then go down to the 6th floor. Simply ridiculous. I moved rooms once and still problems with the 2nd room. Some fundamental problems here and no way in hell this is a 4* hotel.

Our experience at Amadi Panorama was top flight. Staff were exceptionally nice and accommodating, the room was ideal for a brief stay (special kudos to the high ceilings and unique light fixtures), and it was quiet and peaceful to be just outside the city, though remarkably convenient to get to Centraal. I will be visiting again upon a return trip to Amsterdam, and I will be recommending to friends as well.

Location of property is good but room and bed size was too small to accommodate two persons. We booked deluxe room and bed was smaller than queen bed. As tariff was non refundable and paid in advance we had no option but to adjust three nights. In photo they show a huge building but actually they have only three floors of this building and reception is at 8th floor.

Set in a lovely area, quiet but with plenty of amenities within a two minute walk. Gorgeous views from the room as well. The staff were all very pleasant, and helpful, even offering me somewhere to store my cheese! The bed was comfy, though I wasn’t a fan of the mattress topper, but it was easy enough to pop off for my couple of nights. I’d be more than happy to stay here again.

Really lovely comfortable room and fabulous breakfast. On the downside there is construction around the hotel which makes it look a bit messy. It’s also not easy to find the entrance to the building as the hotel is on the top two floors. There aren’t really places to eat anywhere near. Having said that it was good value for money being slightly out of the centre, and an easy 10min tram ride to centraal station.

Property was advertised as 4 star but it is no where near to that standard. The room has issues like wardrobes and furniture were having damages. Cleaning was done but one day part done and other day fully done. There were maintenance planned but we were not informed and neither was reception aware of it. It happened on two days. Overall the quality was not upto the mark.

We were visiting friends and wanted a place near their home. This was a great location so close to the tram that we could either walk to their house and feel like a local at the surrounding shops and cafes or jump on a tram and be in the heart of Amsterdam in 10-15 minutes. We always love staying away from the crowd and this was awesome. The chef prepared Dutch pancakes for me as well even though he was only making American pancakes. Great infused waters and a nice buffet. All around great experience sitting in their lobby area looking at the beautiful view from the 8th floor.

I had to park in a loading zone to go to reception to get access to the parking. The area around the hotel was not what I expected, i was not comfortable walking around on my own at all.

Bold scam. You dont get what you pay for.

The room I booked specifically said \"sea-view\" at this PANORAMA hotel.
The only view we had was of a taller building right in front of us. Asked at the reception and he boldly told me that all other rooms are booked and it says \"sea-view\" on every room. Not an ounce of apology or compensation in the slightest, just an annoyed \"What am I supposed to do?\"
It was at night and we only stayed that one night for sleeping anyway, so I did not feel like argueing was worth it. Literally did not get what I paid for at no refund.
Mattresses were worn and uncomfortable and whoever was in the room next to us was stomping around and banging the door shut all the time all night.

Also don't be fooled, the Hotel is only the top floor of the building and you have to enter through a dirty back door which had shady people lingering in front of it.
When you enter the building you enter what looks like a decrepit hallway in an abandoned public pool to get to the elevator.

Inside the actual hotel it looks nice and clean.
Free Late Checkout and free hot drinks as well as a few in the room fridge was nice, underground parking a block down (not hotel-owned) was rather cheap. Station in front of the Hotel takes you Amsterdam Main Station in 13 minutes.

Would not go here again.

The setting is so so, as it is at the top of a flat used for offices/housing, but it was still clear to find. Views were nice, staff was lovely although I did ask for my room's shower drain to be unclogged and it was not done.l, so that was disappointing. Overall room was very comfortable for a good price and they had some nice freebies in the fridge which was a nice touch.

Slight disappoint about the cleanliness

We booked 4 nights in a row. The hotel is near to the tram station which is great to travel to Amsterdam Central in 18mins.

The receptionist is super friendly. But was slight disappoint by the cleanliness as we discovered there’s a cockroach inside the room and we did told after check out and they didn’t mentioned any compliment or refund towards the incident.

It’s quite odd to have insect/ cockroaches in European country but we’re terrified by the incident.

It was very, very nice, this place really provided what they advertised. The lake view was beautiful, waking up to see that was amazing, never expected that view for the price. Will stay there when I go back to Amsterdam. The room is quite spacious, the bathroom is bigger than expected as well. The receptionist showed us where we can take the bus and places to go, he was very nice, polite, friendly. A really nice experience to end the vacation, nothing at all as how we started.

The ads photo is misleading because the hotel only the top 2 floors not the whole building
The entrance to the hotel is stairs beside the building to reach to back door then ride on service elevator to reach to the hotel
The ads information tells you that there is air conditioning but unfortunately it is fooling customers I complained after the temperature reached 25 in the room but I was told to open the window to get some air exchange which I did but got lot of mosquitoes

Right outside the tram station, so great for getting in and out of central. Some cafes and supermarkets around. Beautiful view from the room. Staff were lovely. My biggest qualm is that it felt like it was a newly acquired property. The route to get in was a bit unclear and didn't feel like a hotel. The rooms were clean but like they were awaiting renovation. Wallpaper rips and stains on the carpet. Good place if you're trying to save some money being outside the center. I wasn't unhappy with it but I don't think I'd stay again.

Our triple room easily accommodated 3 adults. Lobby is a comfortable space w/fruit snacks and beverages. Near light-rail & 20-min into City Center translated to more affordable room rates. Peeling paint in WC makes one wonder about deferred maintenance. Room safe NEVER worked even after two repairman visits. Routes to rooms are quite confusing - like a mouse maze through fire escape routes. Could benefit with hotelier consultation for improvement.

Our first room smelled like sulfur but that was rectified quickly by giving us a new room. Out new room obviously had water issues in the ceiling, we had to create a damn with towels at the shower threshold because water would go everywhere, the elevator buttons wound be removed in the evenings to stop hotel guests from using the elevator due to permanent residence in the building being irritated with hotel guests using “their” elevator. The bathroom was surrounded by glass so if you were in the main area of the room you could see your travel companion sitting on the toilet or taking a shower. The location was close to the tram, which came in handy as there are not a lot of food options in the hotel area.

Hotel with a good tram connection

Nice panoramic hotel, a bit further from the city centre, but with a good public transport options – tram number 26 stops only 2 minutes of walking away from the hotel and the ride lasts only 15 minutes to the Amsterdam Centraal.
Cleanliness was OK and as expected, but the shower windows in the bathroom were leaking, so the floor were wet after every showering.
We booked a double bed room with a view (at the city), but instead of that we got a room with a view to the sorrounding building which was under construction. After reporting that problem at the reception desk two hours after checking-in (in the evening), they said we need to solve this with the next shift in the morning. The next day, next shift told us they cannot change our room, since the cleaners are already ending their shift with cleaning rooms. We had to stay in the assigned room. A bit dissapointing experience, otherwise all other things were okay.

Room was well worn and overdue for a makeover, wallpaper peeling off, veneers and laminates peeling and flaking, moldy corners in the bathroom, poorly designed bathroom without a shower door; property exterior was under renovation behind scaffolding; hotel shares property with condos and property was filthy - entrance had dog-terds, urine, cigarette butts. Had to use two elevators to access the room, both were grimy and unclean. Not a nice place.

Very noisy cleaners sound like a bull in a china shop. Slamming doors constantly and shouting. Moved rooms due to main door being slammed every 2 minutes. Air conditioning? There was no air con. I had to buy a fan because it was so hot in my room. It was 28 degrees in my room with the 'air con' on full. Opened the window for half an hour one morning so I could breathe..... only to be welcomed by a swarm of spiders!!! There are cobwebs and spiders everywhere. Crawling all over the ceiling if you leave your window open for some air. Also the fridge didn't work either, so 50 euros spent on perishable food all ruined. The list goes on.... Probably the worst 'hotel' I've ever stayed in. I will be asking Expedia for some kind of refund.

I would say my stay was Ok overall, the positives about this hotel was its location for me and that it was close to the bus/tram station and cleanliness was fine. But on the negative side, I had 2 issues. First issue was when I was checking in. As I arrived in the morning and the check-in was in the afternoon (I asked and early check-in was not available), I went to explore the city and came back later to the hotel. At this time, a friend of mine was with me but he was waiting in the lobby area (was not at the desk with me) and the reception asked me what's our relationship & some other questions that made me uncomfortable. I understand that I had booked the room for 1 person, so he could've asked politely if there are going to be any other people that I need to add to my reservation (which he didn't even need to ask that because I had reserved a single room).
Second, in their description, under fees and policies section, it was mentioned that Airport shuttle service is offered for an extra charge of EUR 17 per person (one way). However, when I asked for this at the hotel reception, they told me that there is no such a thing and they can get me a taxi for 45 euros!! Even when I showed it to them on their website they said they can't do anything about it. I am not happy with the inaccurate information on their website which caused inconvenience in my travel, because I had an early morning flight and I couldn't use public transportation so I had to either get taxi or Uber.

I flushed the toilet and everything came up from a drain in the shower and filled up the washroom floor, I could not even call the reception because phone in the room didn't work. I mentioned it to the receptionist first day that phone wasn't working but nothing was done. Also hotel mentioned that they have parking, but they dont have one I had to park under different building. Overall it was the grossest experience of my life. To be honest I don't suggest this hotel to ANYONE

I really liked the location, as it was outside of the hustle & bustle of downtown, but still very accessible via one short Tram ride to hot spots & museums in the inner city. The Hotel also had a wonderful view from both the rooms & the lobby.
I also was very pleased with the Hotel Staff, who all were very helpful & friendly, and saved me much time with referrals & suggestions on what to do, as it was my first time to Amsterdam. I would most definitely stay with them again.

not bad. not great. within a 8-day stay, there was twice an issue with cleaning. first time, the room was not fully made-up and the second time, the next door room dustbin bag was left in my room. the kind of things that irritate. for the first issue though, I was offered a free drink.

I called the day before my stay to say it was my 50th birthday. The woman I spoke with was so nice and helpful with my request for a room with a nice view. She even came out to the front desk when I arrived and personally made sure that I had the right room. She really made my stay so special. #1 in customer service. Well done!

The Amadi Panorama s located in a fairly new suburb out to the east of Amsterdam. It may look a long way out on the map, but with trams running from just outside straight to Centraal Station it's really easy to get around. About 12 minutes to the centre, every 6 minutes. Recommend you get a travel pass for your stay.

Nice rooms, great views, a very good breakfast and friendly staff. It's also halfway to the Muiderslot, a beautifully kept medieval castle in the lovely village of Muider. Couple of buses get you there in less than an hour .

To get to your room you have to buzz in the front door, go though a hallway that looks and smells like a public pool, take an elevator to 8th floor, through another tiled hallway and through reception, down another hallway, down an elevator to the 6th floor into another tiled area filled with cleaning supplies, then down the halls to the room. As a smoker this was INCREDIBLY inconvenient. The room gave me an allergic reaction whenever i was inside without the door open (something thats never happened to me). But my nose would instantly stuff up and throat start to close until i was wheezing. The wallpaper was starting to peel off the walls. The shampoo dispenser in the bathroom had leaked half its contents in the 2 days i was there making the shower dangerously slippery. The bed was incredibly comfortable but only because i was staying alone. Because it was 2 beds pushed together you would roll into the middle of the bed no matter what. If i had a guest it would have sucked. The jacuzzi tub in my suite was the only redeeming factor. All of these little things added up to a pretty dissapointing 2 days.
