Great location, a stones throw away from the metro which takes you to the centre of Amsterdam in 20 mins. Rooms were great, we had 4 rooms in total, 1 of them was upgraded to their new superior rooms which was lovely but even their standard rooms were great, only difference between the standard and superior was larger tv, larger bed, nicer flooring and a rainfall shower. The bar area was lovely and overall we had a great stay

Easiest location to public transit, less than half a block walk. Can get anywhere from the location and it’s at the end of the line, in a very quiet area. Can still order pizza in the later evening after the restaurant is closed.

Our stay at your hotel was mostly positive, thanks to the welcoming and professional night staff who made us feel comfortable. However, our experience was significantly impacted by the rude and unprofessional behavior of the Guest Service Manager, Lisbeth. From the moment we arrived, her attitude was cold and unfriendly, as if she owned the hotel and we were staying there for free.

On the first day, Lisbeth wrongly accused us of needing to vacate our room, despite us booking an extra day. She insisted we leave until finally checking the system, only to realize it was her mistake. Holidays are meant for relaxation, and when you have staff like this who accuse guests without verifying facts, it completely ruins the experience.

The next day, after extending our stay, we requested the room to be refreshed. Lisbeth shockingly informed us that it wasn't necessary to clean the room or change the bedspreads, even if we stayed longer. As paying guests, we were entitled to basic housekeeping, but she was dismissive and rude.

While the rest of the staff were excellent, Lisbeth’s constant rudeness and lack of professionalism overshadowed our stay. I strongly feel,Lisbeth needs serious training in customer service as her current approach is unacceptable and damaging to guest experiences especially when her role is a.Manager in a hospitality sector. I hope this review is taken seriously please.

We booked this hotel for the convenience of being very close to the park where the Reggae Lake festival was being held. It is very basic, no air conditioning in the rooms (I asked for a fan, which was provided), the bar and lounge area are nice, however, the bedrooms need some attention. The bathroom needs an extractor. The shower was decent, but the cubicle also needs work. The room is not well lit.
The window sill had marks on them which appeared to be mold but I cannot be sure as I just kept the curtain closed
At the time we stayed there they had an issue with mosquitos. They had a notice saying they had spray for the rooms, but when I asked for some was told they had none left.
We requested our room to be cleaned but when we got back to our room later in the afternoon, we saw the towels were taken and not replaced and the bed was not made. We had to go to reception to let them know and request towels.
Over the weekend they had a sign in reception saying the bar would be opened till 1 am. It was before midnight on Sunday night, we went to order a drink and were told the bar is closed, however, after we walked away they seemed to serve someone else.

Staff were absolutely fantastic and extremely helpful with every request. They even served us dinner 30 mins before the menu officially opened(our mistake for not checking the time). Only concern was with security due to being on the ground floor of the motel style apartment. Also the blinds/curtains did not invoke confidence in privacy. Other than that it was a perfect get away and would highly recommend.

Don’t stay here! They definitely have bed bugs.

After bed bugs nothing else matters, but they rooms don’t have air conditioning, or blinds/shades (only sheer white curtains). The bathroom don’t have any outlets. They advertise laundry services, but don’t have any. The service was awful!

Loved my stay, staff friendly and helpful. Easy to travel around city as metro and bus right outside hotel. Only thing could be improved upon is having coffee, tea etc in the room. Some was available at reception but nothing there for a few days other than that this is an excellent hotel.

Excellent location for attending the Toppers concert at Johan Cruyff stadium. Excellent bus and train service. Half hour train journey into Amsterdam Centraal. Staff are friendly and extremely helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. There didn’t appear to be much around the area but we didn’t explore it as the train stop is right next to the hotel. There is a bar and restaurant at the hotel and the food was decent. We got badly bitten by mosquitoes so make sure you pack repellent !

Don’t take food allergies seriously. Poor service

Service at check in was terrible! We walked in and was met by a lady behind the desk who looked at us, grabbed her bag and walked off to sit at a nearby table- no greeting, smile or anything. Behind the desk in a back room, two coworkers were moving boxes around in clear view of us, even making eye contact…still no greeting.

After finally coaxing a worker out of the room, we had an excuse of they needed to move the boxes about. As if stacking boxes is more important than checking people in. She ordered the woman sat on the table still on her phone to check us in, who then explained she walked off as her shift is over.

I do have to give credit to one of the other receptionists we later met who was beyond polite and friendly.

Moving on to breakfast, as someone with a food intolerance I make sure to make this clear at the time of booking - making sure to inform reception on arrival and a member of staff at breakfast/at the restaurant. At breakfast, I informed the member of staff of this and if they had gluten free options available to which they said yes. As nothing else was said, I assumed (as I’ve found when going elsewhere) my gluten free food may be in its own section on the restaurant floor. Imagine my happiness when I see signs saying 100% gluten free over the bread and croissants - clearly this means they’re gluten free (see pics attached)! Wrong!!

The hotel is unable/ don’t care to take food allergies seriously. If you also have a food allergy BEWARE.

This property is more motel style than hotel, with an added restaurant, which I didn’t need to use, so can’t comment on that. It’s perfectly good for somewhere clean and comfortable to sleep, if you are not looking for additional facilities, but with the added bonus of free parking and easy access to the motorway network to take you into various parts of Amsterdam.

Despite instructions to leave towels in the sink (if you want them changed/cleaned), we repeatedly found that our used towels hadn't been changed.

We stayed one week, and the linens had also not been changed for several days (instead the duvet and pillow covers had been turned inside/out and upside/down a couple of times)

Wifi connection was also very slow. apparently reliable (it didn't outright disconnect us), but it was actually good enough only for loading a few simple pages

Stayed here to go to a concert at Johann Cruiff Arena. Rooms were quite small but very clean and modern. Right beside Metro line and 15/20 mins takes you to Centraal station. 2 metros home from arena. Would definitely stay here again. Great value for money.

I did NOT enjoy this stay! I wasn’t too crazy about the location, but it was rather close to the airport. Our bedroom door was outside of the building… the elevator was going in and out. The staff was rude… just NO. I would not recommend any stay here. It needs to be torn down!

I was very surprised at how nice this hotel was.
From the exterior and leading up to the room it reminded me of a motel. But upon entering, it was a very nice motel!
The room was very clean and the bathroom spacious.
The tram to downtown Amsterdam is a minute walk away. There park is also a minute walk away which was very convenient for my dog. We were also very hungry upon arrival and the small snack stand between the hotel and tram stop had great food.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would recommend Hotel Campanile!

Really lovely and polite staff, the lady at reception was very helpful when we asked her things and really polite I think her name was Esther I think the lady works nights, food was amazing and rooms were very clean😊 The only bad things I could say was there was another lady at reception in the morning she was really rude when we asked her how to check in for breakfast as we paid for 2 days of the breakfast, they could put more tea and sugar in the rooms and cutlery so you can get food and eat it in your room

Location not for everyone as it's a number of metro stops from the canal area of Amsterdam but the service was excellent at the front desk as was the restaurant. Snacks and lunch packs to go and a cosy sitting room on the ground floor made it a good place to stay.

I'd definitely stay here again.
Roughly 20 mins from central Amsterdam by the metro. When you get off the Metro the hotel is less than a minute away.
The rooms aren't modern but nice clean and comfortable.
Staff are friendly and easy going.
They whole stay has left a great impression on me. Thank you.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing. The hotel is a 3 minute walk from the tram which costs 17.5 euros for 72 hours, so this is all it cost to travel to and from Amsterdam for 3 days (great value). The journey into Amsterdam only took 20 minutes max. I Will definitely return.

The staff was very friendly. Metro is literally across the street. As a tourist, I loved that the metro was very close, and I didn't have to stress about finding it. When we left the first day to head to the city, the staff gave us a map and guided us through it to tell us where we can find attractions, shopping, and sightseeing. I loved it.

Very helpful hotel staff. The room was basic but had everything we needed and was clean. The hotel is right next door to the train and bus station. The train takes 25 minutes to get you to Amsterdam Central station, just off Dam square.

The Hotel is nice and basic. Looks a bit dated had some character and I liked the Hotel.

Close to bus turn around point and a metro station. So access to any other part of Amsterdam was good.

Not bad near the Metro.

This hotel has a kind staff that were helpful at check in. It is right next to the Gasperplaas metro station, so very easy to get into the centre. You will need a metro pass (you can buy them at the hotel). The restaurant is expensive, but there is a food cart next door that is priced better for some fast food. The room was small but comfortable. There is no fan or AC and the street is noisy so it's hard to sleep with the window open. There is nothing really in the area apart from that food cart. Beds were not uncomfortable, but the blankets too thick for a warm room. Bathroom was good, nice tub/shower. Overall not bad! Would stay again.

First night in Amsterdam, and even though you could open the windows, staff did not provide with any kind of insect repellent.

When we reported it to the lobby, staff acknowledged this as if they already knew. What we didn't understand is why they didn't warn us or took proactive action against this.

And once again, NO Air conditioning. Please highlight this!!

It was pretty good!

This is a no-frills hotel but in a great location if you have a car to park and don't want to stay in the middle of Amsterdam. The subway station is literally right next door. There is also a beautiful park and forest just behind the hotel. All of the hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. There were a lot of loud guests staying at the hotel when we were there but that isn't the fault of the hotel. Just a consequence of choosing budget accommodations usually.

Just outside the city so it's a lovely quiet area. The metro is literally across the road, the 53 is the only train and it goes straight to the city centre, so easy as central station is the last stop, takes about 15/20 minutes.
The rooms are pretty standard, beds are nice and firm. Bathrooms are run down but serviceable, and clean which is the main thing. Restaurant is actually really nice, small menu but beautiful food. And the front of house staff are so friendly. Breakfast is expensive for what it is at €11 per person for a very simple continental buffet but if you have no other option is perfectly edible.
The only issue I had is that a couple of things went missing from our room, I didn't make a complaint as it wasn't ££ things but I'd recommend keeping anything valuable or of any worth to you in bags as a necklace and small bottle of perfume went missing from the side table.
Other than that, lovely stay.

Friendly and helpful hotel personnel. Basic room, sufficiently spacious, but with little shelf or drawer space, cleaned everyday. Nice large firm bed. All basic amenities you would expect, apart from a hair dryer. Good over-bath shower, but non-slip mat would have been welcome. Well functioning free WiFi. Continental breakfast buffet was ample with good choice and reasonably priced. Easy access to Metro for 30 minute transfer to central Amsterdam. Door-to-door connection to airport using two bus services with change at Bijlmer Arena. Recreation grounds nearby for early morning walk or jog. In-house bar and restaurant which we did not use, as we dined in the city centre.

Stayed here for 4 nights over my birthday this month with a friend, great trip. The staff are accommodating and friendly, they'll do anything they can to help you with your stay. The hotel is directly opposite a tram station which takes you straight to Amsterdam central station. this journey takes 20 minutes and it's almost impossible to get lost as the hotel and Amsterdam central are both the last stops on the line. (M53). The only thing I would say is that the beds aren't the most comfortable, but the price isn't too bad so something like this is expected. Be aware that food and drink in Amsterdam, as well as cabs, can be quite expensive!

gaasperplas metro station outside hotel also a food van parked at the side of hotel not bad quality for the cheap prices like 5 euro for coffee,croissant,cheese toastie and orange juice and it was more than enough for breakfast.metro m73 from amsterdam central around 18 minutes overall yes i would recommend this hotel and the staff are extremly friendly and helpfull hotel has snacks,sandwiches and drinks including wine and heineken reasonably priced.Rooms are small but enough for a 2 or 3 day visit.Enjoy

Food was lovely and Julian the waiter was exceptional. The hotel is close to metro which is great for getting about. However room was small with paper cups for tea and coffee and only enough for one cup. Bed and pillows weren't the comfiest. Hairdryer was available on request. Very basic hotel but good food.

Did exactly what was needed

The room was exactly what I needed. As the metro station was next door, getting into Amsterdam took 20 mins and was good value.

Very basic hotel, small room sizes. It is good for stay a night or two. There was no hairdryer which upset wife (in room amenities it was mentioned). Hotel is far from city, although just outside hotel there metro station which takes 20-25 minutes to reach city. There is nothing much outside hotel and in late evening metro journey can be dangerous as i observed lot of beggers on metro.

Not a good place to stay with family.

Good value for money and very close to public tran

Very simple yet clean hotel. It has seen better days as it is starting to look a bit old. Lobby is renovated a very good buffet breakfast. Great free parking if thats what you need and very close to the metro station.

Clean and comfortable

Clean comfortable room with no frills, we stayed in a triple room which was a little cramped but was convenient. Very close to train station with good access to Amsterdam city centre from this. Staff were very helpful and gave great tips for travel.

We stayed at hotel campanile for one night. The staff was extremly nice and helpful. The rooms were ok and the surroundings will probably never bee on the cover in National Geografic but it suited us very vell. The best thing about the hotel is the location, it´s situated across the street from the train station and it´s only a few minutes walk and then 20 minutes by M53 downtown. The free parking space is also a great plus. Overall a very pleasant experiance.
