The room was ok, about a quarter of the size that it looked in the pictures… I don’t know why they do this.. maybe they want you to be disappointed when you walk in.. don’t bother with the restaurant unless you wish to be financially abused.. their prices are disgraceful for average food. Hardly surprising the restaurant was completely empty.
Most of the staff were very friendly
5-10 min walk from shops, restaurants and train station. €17-32 for Ubers to and from city centre..
Tbh the whole of Amsterdam is really shockingly expensive.. coke cola is 15x the price of diesel. 200ml tiny bottle €5:50 everywhere 500ml water €4-5.

All was well until my last night … I went down to the kitchen to order food … I told the bar tender I would like it to go. He told me to sit at a table and wait for the server, so I did but never once did the waiter come to my table .. yes a I am black female. It was after that the bartender who is also black saw that I had been sitting for more than 10 without being waited on took my order. The waiter for the area who was a tall white male caught eyes with me 8 times yet passed me by each time. After my order was placed, it took about 30 mins to receive my food which came out as if it was being room serviced instead of it being packed in a to go box and bag. Needless to say I won’t be back to this property because of this. I forgot to mention everyone in the dining area was a white male as all had be attended to while I was waiting.

We were greeted by the loveliest staff member who was very helpful in getting all of the necessary information to us, was super welcoming, and informed us of the Greener Stay option which we were absolutely on board with - trying to make our whole journey to Amsterdam more considerate of the environment. The room was immaculate, offered everything we needed and then some, with a gorgeous view of the local area, being on the 8th floor. We dined in the breakfast buffet 3/4 days and also had dinner in the restaurant on our final night. It was very affordable, with excellent service! I would definitely make this my go-to when I return.

No room service was done even though we stayed for 3 nights. They gave 5 euro coupon to.skip.cleaning for 1 night but i was promised someone would clean after the 2nd night which nevsr happenned. Also i was not aware of the tourist tax which was applied to my bill and was seperate from expedia charges. I even reached out to expedia for refund but to no avail. Breakfast was the only highlight.

Hotel was clean and staff were excellent. We had a 3 night stay which would have been a lot better if the drainage system in our bathroom was better. The sink would take the most part of the day to drain. It was very annoying and frustrating. We did report this to front desk and they made 3 attempts to fix but not successful. They said maintenance was off for the weekend.A different room offered on the last day but to pack up all our belongings to move, time wouldnt allow. There was no compensation offered for our problem where I think there should have been as the rooms were priced fairly high. But other than that hotel was comfortable, cleanand staff were very friendly.

I was provided with an Amazing corner room with a semicircular view of the city .. to the left I could view the sunrise and to the right was the sunset.

I had an issue with my room, and Mr. Lorenzo, the duty manager, handled it very professionally. He arranged for us to move to another room with a much better view, and on top of that, he kindly offered us access to the VIP breakfast lounge for the entire stay. His professionalism and excellent service made a great impression, and I would be very happy to stay at this hotel again in the future.

The room was way too hot and we didn’t have control of the thermometer. We did complain but it didn’t get changed. No water dispensers in the gym. Breakfast was mediocre. Very little protein. Fire alarms went off 3 times in a row with no apologies or explanation.

False advertising, stated there'd be a kitchenette on the listing but there was none, it was the only reason I booked here. The hotel is 30 minutes by train from the city center so it is only convenient if you plan to go the arena. Hotel soundproofing is pretty poor, can hear people in the halls and through the walls. Washrooms had mold in different spots and always smelled like urine. Breakfast provided was decent but very packed no matter what time we went for it, every morning had to wait around to find a table to sit and eat, only the last 15 minutes it starts to clear out.

Due to the football match, We had difficulty getting into the building on the day of check in, but Carlos the Deputy Manager was very helpful, but the other Manager from Holidays In express, Mr Haroon was not very professional at all, as a family we didn’t like the way he dealt with our situation, he didn’t even apologies for the issue and inconvenience we had. Mr Carlos is very customer focused Manager, thanks for all his support.

Kind staff but needs some improvement

I was pleased because they allowed me to change my stay from 5 days to 4 days. However, when I arrived to the hotel, my room type was not available and I had to stay in a different room type than the one reserved. The receptionist promised a partial refund, but that never happened.

I was moved to my room the next day. Although my correct room type, the AC was not working, and the system to hold the curtains (due to a curved window) was not working and was being held with tape. This meant I had light on my eyes as soon as the sun rose in the mornings and the room was never truly dark.

I did speak to someone at the hotel about this but nothing else was offered other than the complimentary hot breakfast.

The few staff I interact with was kind thou.

We stayed at this hotel during our visit to Amsterdam and were extremely happy with our overall experience. The hotel is conveniently located near the transit,so commuting wasn’t an issue at all. The breakfast buffet was just amazing with a whole array of breakfast choices. The staff was very friendly and nice as well. The only issue with the room was that the room didn’t have a fridge which made it hard to save any food as with the heat it could get bad. Moreover, carry your own body crème as the rooms don’t have them.

Bed was reasonably comfortable. Room and facilities were clean. Breakfast is quite ordinary with not a lot of variety on offer. Coffee is via electronic set up, no freshly ground offered. Pastries were ok. Not sure whether eggs were organic as they looked and tasted like powdered sort. Biljmer Arena Train station is about a 30-40 minute walk. Not a lot of eateries in the vicinity. Hotel was in a quiet area alongside busy street.

The hotel is very beautiful and the location is good. However, they don’t do daily cleaning of the room due to their sustainability policies, which I agree are important. However, I don’t see how making the bed and emptying the bins is really against their environment. I didn’t event wants my towels or linens changed.
One of the reasons I choose hotels instead of Airbnb is because I love how they make the beds and also I want to have a break. I don’t want to wake up on holidays and make my own bed.
Might sound silly but it spoiled the stay for us.
Also the staff could be kinder.

So I booked this hotel as I was going to the Ajax match at the stadium nearby so it was very convenient for that as it was less than 10 minutes walking and the train station was also about 10 minutes walk maximum. The hotel appeared nice and modern and clean just like previous holiday inn express we stayed in Amsterdam but when we got to our room it wasn't even made it was dirty bed and bathroom so I called on the phone to reception and they said they were busy but would send someone but after 10 minutes I went down to speak to them as that was totally unacceptable. They were very apologetic and gave us another room nearby so didn't have to move far and that one had been made the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was a good size with a walk in shower which was very nice although the temperature would fluctuate a little but overall it was a nice shower. The tv was a lot smaller than in the pictures online but wasn't a problem.
When I checked in they asked how often I wanted housekeeping as we were staying for 4 nights I said once in the middle would be fine however after our second night we wanted to relax so I left the sign on the door not to be disturbed and we were not. The next day our last full day I left the sign on requesting housekeeping as we were out early and not planning on returning until later and would like fresh bedding and towels for our last night but when we returned the room had not been made again which was really annoying.

This wasn't the newest hotel and that showed with some stains and scuff marks around the room and common areas. The gate made it a little harder to get ride shares in and out of the city as well. However the staff was amazing and it's a good location if you're going to a show at the Ziggo Dome.
