I asked for balloons on the room for a special birthday- they said they would and nothing was done.

The room was dirty and I had asked for it to be cleaned loads of times.

We had come back from the city one day and someone had gone through our bags.

There was loud music playing every night from 11pm- 4 am ! I suffer with anxiety and this made me feel so uncomfortable!

The pillows were dirty and they weren’t even pillows just some material stuffed in a pillow case.

The bathroom had all hair over the floor and the toilet was dirty.

We had people knocking on our doors at 3 in the morning, we couldn’t wait to leave and go home

This hotel has totally misleading advertising policy who present themselves as a 4-star establishment, while in reality it’s no more than a 2-star level. The corridors are dirty, with piles of used laundry on the way to your room. In the room, there are no real mattresses — only toppers that constantly slide off the bed. There is no water, no slippers, and certainly no bathrobes in the room. The toiletries are diluted with water and don’t even foam. The hotel doesn’t have a laundry room as stated in the description. Instead, they offer an expensive third-party courier laundry service. The towels and bed linen are of poor quality and have an unpleasant smell. Bed linen is changed only partially and not every day.

I believe this hotel should be removed from listings because it seriously damages the platform’s reputation

The hotel itself was in a good place in terms of getting near the metro . But was often noisy at night people running around screaming / being sick playing super loud music. The staff were hit and miss either didn’t want to know and very unfriendly or helpful ( which was on lady ) . Also expensive Parking where you couldn’t get out with the ticket provided . Breakfast was bland and unexciting . Bathroom wasn’t clean there was soap scum around the sink and shower with the shower things provided leaking .

Was pleased with the hotel. Room was clean apart from a piece of chewing gum stuck to a lamp shade.

Breakfast variety was good. We didn't use the gym there was only a few pieces of equipment.

Convenient for metro station 5 minutes walk away to get to Amsterdam Central.

Used bar for evening meal once. Food was good, average prices for a hotel. Limited menu. A couple of meals we asked for on the menu weren't available.

We had an early checkout at 7am and put a request in the previous day to get an early breakfast which they said they would arrange but when we were checking out they had nothing prepared for us. We were very disappointed at the lack of staff communication.

I was concerned after reading other reviews, but my experience was very positive. I chose this hotel due to its proximity to the Ziggo Dome arena and it was only a 20 minute, very pleasant stroll to the arena - also convenient for the Johan Cryuff arena for football matches. The room was very clean, as was the bathroom. I was on the first floor, overlooking the main road, but the room was really quiet. Internet access was great. I found all the staff very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was also very good in my opinion, with plenty of choice from the breakfast buffet. The area is very commercial and there is a lot of construction ongoing, but I was staying over the weekend, so I can’t comment on noise as a result of building work or traffic noise. As I ate at the arena, prior to the concerts I attended, I cannot comment on the eating options in the area. I would definitely stay at the Ozo again, if I was attending another concert at the Ziggo Dome.

The female at the front desk was rude checking in. The room smelled like cigarettes, the sheets were dirty as were the towels. There was hair everywhere. And the handle on the window was about to fall off when trying to open the window. The parking area is very small and hardly nowhere to park, very tight.

Lovely property with nice comfortable rooms. Friendly staff at reception and at the bar. The hotel is a short walking distance from the train station which is serviced by trains that take you into central Amsterdam. The hotel is also a short bus ride (2/3 stops) or 1 train stop away from the Arenas which is very convenient if you are visiting for a concert. There aren’t many options for food in the immediate vicinity but there is a restaurant in the hotel and a couple of places near the arenas.

We were able to hear the pipes in the walls every time someone above us used the toilet (or water in general), and it was quite annoying, especially at night. Additionally, there were flies in our room despite the windows being closed, so not sure how they got in. We killed the ones we saw, but more kept appearing each day.

Make sure that if you do stay here, request that your room be cleaned daily when the reception asks you during check-in. We said no to daily cleaning, but assumed that our room would still be cleaned upon request. There is a sign that you can put up to request room cleaning (which we did), but our room was not cleaned once during our stay.

There is a communal gym in the hotel, but I can't speak to that since we did not use it.

The hotel was also very far away from the city center (around 40 min via public transport). The only pro was that it was relatively close to a train stop.

Overall, probably would not stay again.

This was a lovely property overall, but unfortunately our stay was disrupted by constant building work that began as early as 6am, which made it difficult to rest.

Additionally, one of the rooms had no phone, and none of the rooms provided bottled water—a basic amenity that most hotels typically include.

Unfortunately the staff is not friendly. They just do their job and that's it. The girls at the reception seemed bored.
The room was clean but quite impersonal. You say it's transit, you don't feel like staying there for several days.
The bathroom towels were clean but very worn. They were leaking blood.
It is located 5 minutes from the metro. The metro takes about 30 minutes to the center (there are about 10 stations).
The good part is that they have parking and for only 15 euros per day you can leave your car there and take the metro.
What I liked about the metro is that you can pay with your phone and you don't have to buy a ticket. I paid 1.35 euros for one ride.

Check in staff very friendly.

BUT - Shower in room threw water alll over bathroom floor (Room 112) - Made reception aware but nothing was done. Asked for additional towels as all ours used soaking up water which was everywhere - was told they would be delivered - they weren't.

Room not cleaned first night - despite being set to clean up.

Disappointing - hotel looks lovely, but poor choice if shower doesn't drain or work properly

Poor hotel, huge cleanliness issues!

The hotel is very dated. Walls are worn and marked.
The bed had stains and hairs in. I felt very uncomfortable.
Raised the issue with the front desk, they took pictures of the pictures I provided. Offered another room on ground floor, next to where the smokers congregate… however they get complaints about this.
I opted for a change in bedding. When I returned to the room, no change in bedding. Incredibly poor quality hotel on all fronts.

Room was filthy had to change rooms as we were unpacking the bed was full of dirty marks same with the towels and the new room had a whole bunch of new problems had a mattress topper which was about 8 inch too short all round the bed which made you roll off the shower leaks out into the bedroom and flooring in shower is super slipper, you only get 1 key card and this is needed to use the lift so needs to be taken if one person wants to stay in the room they will be in total darkness as all electric goes off without the key, we even tried other cards like advantage cards as a replacement but they did not work would not recommend this hotel avoid at all costs, I have stayed at cheaper better hotels in Amsterdam.

It was a nice hotel. Very easy to go to Johan Cruiff. One day housekeeping knocked on our door while we were sleeping in and had do not disturb on the door. The next day housekeeping OPENED OUR DOOR and WALKED IN while we were in bed still and had do not disturb on. I reported both incidents to front desk and they said they would text the housekeeping supervisor but nothing else was offered to make up on the intrusion on our privacy and safety. Nice hotel within walking distance of the arena but there are others equal distance that don’t jeopardize safety and security.

We had a lot of luggage and needed a friend to come up to help us get it downstairs. He called me and said that they refused to let him up. This was the 4th time and all of a sudden he was forbidden. In the end he cam upstairs, it didn't even take 5 minutes. Such a crazy rule.
Other than that the stay was fine. Breakfast is 17.50 Euro, but we found a great workaround. We walked 300m to Ikea and had a great breakfast 16 Euro for 2 people with salmon and omelet, all the coffee or cappuccino we wanted and extra water for the day. The walk to the Metro is also not bad at all.

Not what I expected.

My stay at Ozo was okay. Upon arrival I asked to check in early and was charged $20 euros extra. While I was checking out, a couple was checking in, they were charge only $10 euros extra, not sure why I was charged $20. It would have been nice to have a microwave in my room. I went downstairs to asked for some ice or where is location of the ice machine. I was told that they weren't allowed to give out ice. Somewhat disappointed. I will not be staying here again. I was booked for 4 nights but left a day earlier.
Aside from that it is located closed to the metro and the arena but was great.

Hotel suited our needs of a room to sleep for a few nights whilst visiting Amsterdam, located close to the Metro which made transport to & from city & Airport easy.
Was basic but clean, quiet & reasonably priced, restaurant / bar appeared to be closed for our entire trip, which meant travelling before breakfast was available & saw no sign (and given no info) of a fitness centre

Hotel bathroom need to be better when it comes to the shower glasses, when at shower water goes out under the glass.
Gym is small, some gym weights was kinda damaged, but still trainable. They should just invest on gym and shower glass to hold water better n the hotel would be amazing 💯

The hotel was mediocre. I would have rather stayed in central for the same price as the hotel was extremely hot in the communal areas.

The room was not cleaned properly and the bathroom was filthy with hair everywhere from someone, unknown as to where from but this was disgusting. Not small amounts, large amounts on the floor.

The bedroom was a good size but the room had this extremely loud water pressure pipe or water flow system in the wall that was very annoying when trying to sleep.

I would stay again unless I had to.

I wasn’t compensated at all at checkout but the receptionist took a picture of my photo. Disappointed with the customer service to not compensate for the filthy room.

Poor breakfast select, problems with air-con.

The hotel had building works going on outside the main entrance, putting in planters with small trees. The pedestrian entrance was closed with warning tape so I had to enter via car way.

Air conditioning in the room needed to be adjusted by the reception team. The control pad in the room did not function to allow temperature to be reduced. Kept waking up middle of night in a warm room and had to open the window.

Worrying presence of black fuzzy spots on the grouting in the shower (or just plain missing strips of grouting in some places).

Nice lemongrass scented shower-gel in the shower.

The bed is a divan base and then one of those thick unyeilding foam mattresses and a thin "topper". My back really didn't appreciate this, woke up every morning with a stiff back.

Linen changed daily. Staff left the "bed drape" on the side which is good as I really have no idea why a 50cm wide bit of thick cotton needs to decorate the foot of the bed.
Insufficient (1 only) power sockets at the desk.

I tried the breakfast on my last day. At 07:15 (service starts at 07:00) the cheese was drying out on the edges, so unlikely to be fresh, and the fruit selection poor (only apples and oranges - but the staple of such bananas missing). Not worth the €17.50 cost.

Staff did take note of my request for help with the aircon issue on the first approach but I really didn't have the time to mess around getting them to fix this every time. Staff were informed of my other issues at checkout.

The hotel is in a commercial / residential area. Very quiet and little activity. Its easy to access via metro, within a 5 min walking distance.

The staff were a real disappointment with regards to a lost item at hotel. Not helpful, not cooperative and down right dismissive. No effort put into resolving the matter, in spite of my many efforts to connect with them on the matter

If you are looking for a basic stay with no frills or a proper hotel experience … this is it.

Stayed here with a friend for a few days. The room was modern and clean and had everything we needed. Beds were remade daily and riom cleaned.
Reception staff were really polite and helpful.
We didn't use the bar etc. but everything we did use was great.

Funny smell in hotel bathroom (mouldy), and the wet room style shower would leak outside of the glass partition and onto the main bathroom floor. No towel hooks in the bathroom. (As an aside, the toilet paper wasn't very nice).

Very difficult to adjust the heating/fan. When you leave the room, it defaults back to cold settings so room isn't as warm as you have left it.

No complimentary water in the rooms at all. Instead a 250ml bottle in the vending machine is available at 2.50 EUR. Bar and dining facilities shut very early and there was a scenario seen where at around 2am, my friend and I saw an UberEats delivery person arrive and go directly to the rooms to deliver a pizza. A guest should be asked to receive their delivery at reception since this could make the hotel unsafe.

Staff are very friendly and courteous, however I was
very surprised to be asked to pay for my room on check-in and not check out. Is this standard practice?

The area has non supermarket at all and the safe at room wasn’t work and the city tax at the counter was higher than the usual it was about 50$ for two days and the shower capinet leaking the water out so the floor gets so slippery.

I booked 5 rooms at this hotel 2 months in advance and on arrival they lied that Expedia had asked them to cancel my booking. On calling Expedia, they said they never asked them to do so. They were not bold enough to own up to their inability to fulfil the booking or even notify me of the cancellation before I arrived.

My team arrived after midnight and were left without a place to stay. We eventually found a room in a nearby hotel around 3am.

Ozo hotel has a lot of bad reviews which I regretfully ignored. Please do not go to this hotel so you don't end up being shafted. Very incompetent bunch. The place should be closed down.

The Hotel is served pretty well by public transport, easy to get into the city centre snd to the airport, we were attending a concert at the Ziggo Dome and it was within easy walking distance .
Hotel itself was clean, didnt try the food , though it said the restaurant was closed during our stay, it seemed bar food was available.The Hotel bar was closed on Sunday, bit inconvenient Another minor negative and not the hotel's fault, the apartment block next door had not had its bins collected for quite some time and rubbish was all over the pavements and was beginning to smell.
Decent Hotel would probably stay here again.

Reception staff were very unwelcoming-receptionist placed a registration card on the desk for me to sign and then informed me' here are the rules' (these were printed on the back of the form).

I rang reception the next day asking about service of food in the bar and the receptionist did her best to put me off. She incorrectly stated that there were just '2 snacks' available and that I 'would have to come down' if I wanted them. (I had not enquired about room service so I'm not quite sure why she stipulated this).

I did deide to eat in the hotel bar however and the 2 dishes I chose were quite unpalatable. The 'bruschetta' for first course was a untoasted bread roll cut lengthways with tomatoes and a little grated cheese on top. The hamburger for main course was undercooked and actually raw in its centre. The only positive about the whole experience was the barman who was very friendly and polite. I didn't have the energy to complain after a very busy working day. The room was well serviced and properly cleaned each day. The w.c./shower room was essentially a cut-off corner of the bedroom with translucent walls where one could potentially could see the silhouette of another person from the bedroom. This did not bother me as I was alone but the room was supposed to be a 'luxury double' and if there had been 2 people occupying the room then it could have been a little awkward. The bill for room and breakfast was approx. e360 for 3 nights.which was overpriced
