As an individual who works in the service and support industry it gives me no pleasure in writing this review. I found the staff incredibly rude.
Me and a work colleague had to wait over 1.5 hours to be served. With multiple other customers arriving after us being served and leaving way before us.

First, the hotel gave us the room that had been occupied. We entered a room with guests already settling in. Then the next day, someone suddenly broke into our room while we were still in the bed. For these two times, luckily, there was nobody taking shower in the transparent shower tube. But I find the hotel had the poor management so that customers’ privacy is harmed.

Second, the hotel is nice but sad that the maintenance is minimal. The sink in the hotel is clogged.

Third, the exit parking bar doesn’t lift up by itself. Many cars got trapped so I had to call the receptionist to open the bar.

I really hope the feedback will help the hotel to realize what need to improve. It is a pity that such a nice hotel (from outside and inside) hasn’t been taken good care of.

The shower pod is literally in the room you sleep in at the bottom of the bed. I had no idea this was the case when booking as I’ve never known anything like it! There is zero privacy! The reception staff aren’t very friendly and the service overall is just lacking what you would normally expect from a 4 star hotel. I wouldn’t recommend this place nor would I stay here again! I stayed as I thought it was close to the stadium for a concert but there are better places you could stay closer to the venue.

Amazing, but boiling.

We really enjoyed our stay. Abit far from the train station, however that’s our fault. However the room was far too hot, and got uncomfortable. However the bed was like sleeping on a big cushion, absolutely lovely.

The entire property needs a complete overhaul, which includes the members of staff (apart from the two that were working in the bar on my first night). GOrdon Ramsey needs to go in and give them a shake up. Under trained, rude and not customer focused.
I only stayed there because of the location next to the hospital. Never again!

The room design makes no sense. There is a glass shower that’s fully exposed to the rest of the room. No privacy while you shower if you are sharing the room with another person. Also, it was quite cramped.

The toilet was behind a thin plastic divider that didn’t close tightly so again, zero privacy while you are in there. It was also cramped like an airplane toilet.

My sister and I stayed here after a concert at the Ziggo Dome. It was a lovely hotel, great view (though marred by terrible weather, sadly), comfortable room, and we had a lovely breakfast too. The staff were very helpful, and as non-car drivers it was easy to get to and from by bus, though we took a (5-minute) taxi back from the Ziggo Dome after the concert.
The only comment I would make is that you have to be very comfortable around the person you are sharing with, due to the shower being in the middle of the room!

Unique style of property and 15 minutes walk to the train or Metro into Amsterdam. Supposed to light up blue along with the surrounding balls but still waiting. Even when I asked the staff all I got was that they were supposed to come on!!! The little food you got in the sky restaurant was very expensive, so only tried it out once I’m afraid but it was lovely. Overlooking a Motorway, Building site/demolition and car sales garages.

incomplete information at registration. I was told to scan and look up the menu for room service, which was quite difficult to navigate. Dinner reservation was not available soon and I was told I would have to wait long for room service with no idea how long.The television was not working and I asked for someone to come and take a look. They said they would but no one came. They even suggested they would look at changing my room but I heard nothing after that.Very poor.

Normally I do not enjoy writing reviews, especially bad ones, but I figured I should share my experience to help others with their decision on where to stay. I chose this hotel mainly because of location and the Wi-fi.

My main problem during my stay was that the wi-fi did not work on my labtop which I needed for work, but the wi-fi did work on my iphone, One of the solutions that the front desk had was to use my data on my iphone and use a personal hot-spot. This is very expensive though if you are traveling internationally. After explaining my concerns to the front desk, I had mixed reviews that other customers had similar problems while some other front desk workers and the manager stated that they never heard of this problem.

Other problems was that the heater did not work, the shower had a leak (which got water on my suitcase on the carpet), lack of soap/shampoo and bottled water daily, and did not have my towels changed daily. Because of the leak, I used all the towels and left them on the floor, but no one came into my room the next day to change the towels or clean the room. I later found out from the manager that they clean the rooms every other day. I voiced my concerns and the hotel then changed the towels, cleaned the room the next day.

The refund process was difficult and hotel staff was poorly educated about the process. This required a manager (they only work 9AM-430PM) on weekdays, so if you have a concern you need to wait for the weekday.

The room was good! Just fine👌 The only dissapointing this was the check-in. We were not greeted or acknoledged upon arrival and needed to ask if we could check in process. During the check in no small talk was done or interest was toned. Receptionists argued with eachother while checking us in about that my receptionist needed to move computer as the other one wanted to be on this computer...twice....eventually the keys where handed over without any information about our stay and without wishing us a pleasant stay. All very uninterested and non-professional. Not up to standard.

Refund Hurricane of trouble

Was never able to stay at the property, had a booking but due to a hurricane our flights were canceled and we were not able to go. We tried to get a refund but the hotel would not give one. We tried to adjust out trip and change our booking but the hotel would not even though we were willing to pay the additional cost for the extra days. Contacted Hotels.com and they were unable to get anywhere either. Word of advice, don’t try to stay there during an unplanned natural disaster, they don’t care.

To drive in/out the parking area you have to validate the ticket each time at the reception, where you have to wait beacause others are checking in or staff is 'busy' on their computers. The hotel room was great, very clean very comfortable. However my stuff was stolen from the housekeepers. I left my expensive headphones and euros on my bed then when I came back upstairs my bed had been made and everything was clean which meant the housekeeping had been in. However my things we’re missing. I went downstairs to the reception but they didn’t offer much help and said to just get in contact with the police. Considering it’s a good hotel and I payed a lot of money to stay there, my stuff should of been kept safe and they should of put matters into their own hands to resolve it. I’m disgusted.

Nice different hotel given that it’s round!.!. Rooms are nice with shower in the middle of the room (clear glass around it so perhaps not suitable for friends/family holiday). An All-'Round' experience

The hotel provides a 'designer' experience. From the tube design building and the reflection of this in the rooms with a tube design shower (in the middle of the room) and circular windows.
Cleanliness in the room I stayed in was not perfect (uncleaned wall surfaces in the toilet room and floor) and some fittings were loose or broken (shower rail, tv stand, soap dispenser), but for me these were niggles.
The restaurant food was very high quality with great views of which ever part of the city you are facing in the circular room atop the building, I did not try the bar.
Staff could not be more helpful.

We called our entire time there asking for someone to fix the heating in the room. No one came. We asked for a duvet or additional sheet as the room was so cold, we were given a single one to share as opposed to a double. We also asked for iron and ironing board, we managed to go out, get something to eat, come back and get changed before this even arrived. The hotel has great potential quite nice, the location isn’t great, but not too far from the train station... the service however, is poor.

Complete disaster, Spider Jungle, not a Hotel

It was a disaster; terrible disappointment, complete waste of money... not worth even 50 euros per day.... the window were dirty, and there was not even possible to see any view from it; the windows were full of spiders and spider webs!!!! spider webs were in main hall too!!! my wife has a terrible fear of spiders and could not calm her 1 hour.... we were forced to stay with curtains closed, not to see those spiders... location was also not good, too far away from city center, not worth that money, for that location. there were no sleepers in 4star hotel! no appropriate room service... there a lot of stains on toilet room and on bed sheets... despite that we required to change them, until my wife herself did not remove them, they were not going to change... shower was leaking all the night, did not let us to sleep... water was also coming out of the shower tub and sink.... no soundproof at all... could hear everything what was going in neighboring rooms... there was no heating in the hotel, when outside it was 10 degrees already, and when we required to fix it, manager was promising that everything would be fixed in 10 minutes, whereas she knew, that heating would not be fixed till next morning!!!!! and she was lying because she knew we would have left!!! only on next day, another manager brought individual heater in our room... No mini bars in room!!! there is nothing to eat in the hotel or nearby after midnight... you just have to starve till the morning....

I had a lot of expectations and was quite excited to stay in the Fletcher hotel . My disappointment started the moment I walked in .. I had come in a couple of hours earlier than check-in as I badly needed to change out of wet clothes from the rain . The gentleman on desk , without even checking the rooms status said “ sorry no rooms available to check in earlier “ almost on the verge of being rude . I get it rooms need to be cleaned and made ready for the new guests but at least acknowledge the guests presence and be emphatic that she is standing there dripping in rain .
On finally entering the room , I was quite taken with the view facing the windmill and decided to sit by the circular window and sip a cup of coffee . I find the coffee machine and the surrounding area including the coffee pouches ridden with dust - as if the area want used for a while .. ugh! If the check out time is 11 am and check in is strictly not before 3 pm - would expect a clean room . the soap dispenser was missing in liquid soap .. am sorry the room was not ready for the new guest to come in .
The lady at the desk then did kindly bring up a kettle and fresh soap bars .
Comfort - the chairs were super Squeaky , I wasn’t too comfortable with the see through shower cabin in the middle of the room ( but I knew that while booking, I just expected a curtain that could be pulled down )
Staff - I found the staff friendly and polite , except the gentleman at the desk on the 1st day

Quirky hotel , but absolutely no information about check out times or instructions on how to use any of the amenities, and the staff didn't really seem to know either, and a word of advice don't take a cab from schipol airport as they will charge 50 euros take the metro it's about 10 euros and about 3 stops and a10 minute walk !!!

The hotel is new, modern and well designed. The service is ok. It´s far from the center city and very far from the train station - near 1km... (worst than others to get public transportation). We didn´t have problem with that distance because we went there by car.

Unique room with a view

Probably one of the most unique hotels we have stayed at. The hotel is circular with large round external window. Lots of light and a great view. The only separation of amenities is for the toilet. The shower is a clear glass tube located in the center of the main room, totally exposed to anyone entering the room from the outside corridor. This hotel was located in a more industrial area. Not close to restaurants or shops. Onsite restaurant was expensive.

Interesting hotel with nice views but far

Very interesting hotel offering a nice view the outskirts of Amsterdam. Especially the bar on the top floor. The views of some rooms may be constricted by a steelbeam. Shower is in a transparant booth in the middle of the room. People find this weird but its actually not that new in hotels. The Andaz hotel in the city center which goes for atleast 250 p night has the same style. Parking costs is reasonable(I believe about 15 eu per night) but just outside there is free or cheaper parking. There are also alot of fastfood choices nearby like KFC and Burger King. It is tho a bit far from Amsterdam city center. Check the maps.

I couldn't lower the room temperature, I don't like sleeping at 23 Celsius and no possibility to open the window - asked the front desk to fix this 3 times. They said it was a technical issue and their final suggestion was to switch rooms - not really a good solution if you have all your stuff unpacked and it's in the middle of the night. Hotel suggested to compensate me with 20 euro, citing 'i had to make further claims for compensation via Expedia'. Things can go wrong, I get that but don't hide behind procedures and half-truths. A missed opportunity to resolve this.

Nice hotel shame about the door locks, what a nightmare. Had to change rooms twice as the key entry system is shocking, locks you out nearly every time. Check out wasn’t great, couldn’t add multiple rooms to one bill, after an hour I just walked, knowing they would charge my card anyway.

You get what you see...THROUGH!

Exactly as it was on the photographs. Definitely a hotel for couples not children. Food was delicious. Cleaner could have done a better job. Maintenance man was efficient. Would have been good to have had a mini fridge, ceramic cups and a larger supply of hot drinks than just coffee.

Very nice hotel, away from the busy city centre

the only down point for me is the lack of transport means to the city centre, apart from taking a taxi.

NOT A 4 STAR AT ALL!

Good looking hotel. Ideal for couple, not so much for a couple of friends sharing a room due to the shower. Hotel staff are ok, but no second key! Also haven't cleaned my room for the whole stay as I woke up after 11am, which is expected when you are on holiday? So no cleaning staff after mid afternoon so your room will stay filthy if you do not awake early. This I found unacceptable and makes this hotel 3* at best NOT A 4 start!
