Okay stay. Not great but not terrible.

My stay here was okay but some things need to be made public. First of all, the staff was attentive and polite. That was appreciated. This property operates under three names and Mezcal Hotel is nowhere on the building that I could find. Luckily my driver knew the property. The restaurant on site serves some good food but the hours are inconsistent. WiFi was out and the same typical story of it has been reported and ‘the man’ is supposed to be coming. That took about three days. The massage therapist was in house and very sweet but he sure you are on the same page. I needed a shiatsu/derp tissue type of massage which I clearly explained but she proceeded with a tantric massage. It was really nice but not what I asked for. I left still in pain. I would stay again probably but I’d verify everything is working first.

I chose this Nomads because I wanted to have the option to meet people but also relax if I wanted and it was exactly as I expected

Staff was super friendly and helpful. The restaurant is delicious with great staff too. The hostel offers different activities that make socialization much easier for solo travellers as well. Only that most of those activities happen or leave from the other nomads but they are only 6-7min walk from the mezcal hotel.

Would definitely come back :)

I enjoyed staying there for an extended visit. The activities, weather etc. One thing I noticed on 3 trips to the hostels. While there are no smoking signs all over each hostel, When I visit the roof areas of the rooftop and party hostel there are a lot people smoking right in front of the signs . I also was a bit disappointed this time because they had not found a yoga instructor. In my other visits they had the yoga classes every weekday. There was considerably more noise at night than before also. A few times people talking even yelling in the wee hours of the morning. Some loud music and speakers from the restaurant in the hostel and loud drinking songs from a bar next door. I would still stay there and enjoyed my visit just had a few more things that were not as hoped for.

The front desk was super helpful and knowledgeable. When we arrived they gave us a room upgrade and staff helped to organize both activities and to coordinate with other travel bookings we had. Walkable and enjoyed being able to go be apart of sister hostels as well! We did not understand the hot water system at first but staff were quick to help!

However, I was disappointed to find out that they charged me double when I extend for 3 more days without informing me beforehand. The reason was “ last minute reservation “ Despite this issue, the stay itself was good and the staff were friendly. I hope that in the future, the hotel improves their communication with guests to avoid similar issues. Overall, I would recommend this hotel but suggest being cautious about unexpected charges.\"

Awesome! Two very happy guests!

If you’re looking for a short stop in downtown cancun before exploring Quintana Roo, this is the place for you. Boutique vibes at hostel prices, we went for a private room which was lovely. It is SUPER quiet, which was just what we wanted. The co-working space is great, pool is lovely, and kitchen has all you need. Tattoo shop is cool! The local area is great and there is the nomads party hostel nearby where you can get your party vibes fix! It’s situated just off a rod with a bunch of great restaurants, all walking distance. Everywhere felt super safe, and rooms / communal space very clean. Downtown cancun gem - don’t miss it!

Very unique hotel that is a work of art just by itself. The whole property felt like what a small hotel in Cancún should feel like.

Our room was very clean and spacious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The neighborhood was clean and felt very safe.

The room was nice. The staff was wonderful.

The kitchen was missing a lot of silverware, forks and spoons, the groceries was packed full of old food and gross. If you were lucky two burners worked. On most days people didn't eat their own dishes and sink was constantly clogged.

The beds were hard as rocks! They had to move me because my ac unit kept leading all over the furniture and the bed was so hard. Well, the new bed was just as hard and they put me in a room where the window opened up to the outdoor kitchen table where everyone went to eat or smoke so I could hear everything and couldn't open my window because of the smoke.

When I turned on the ceiling fan, the light came on which I couldn't turn off. The second room didn't even have a fan.

The second room shower only had hot water. It was so hot I couldn't rinse my shampoo out. I had to do it in the sink.

The bar and restaurant were closed for construction.

It was really quiet, so that was a plus.

It has a lot of potential and I hope they can fix these little problems. It was convenient for my morning trips to Isla Blanca for my kitesurfing lessons.

Nice hostel. Pool was broke first 3 days and they didn't notify anyone via social media sadly. Good food and environment. In the evening they have people push you and pressure you to buy the bar packages so that was the worst part of the stay. The bartenders were awesome, Max the manager was great as well. Security guard Jesus was really cool also.

Party Hostel a bit far from the beach

Pros:
- breakfast and dinner included in the price
- organized events with groups
- female only dorm
- decently clean facilities for a hostel
- pool

Cons:
- very loud, hard to get a good night’s sleep with loud drinking games until 10:30/11 and people drinking and talking at the hostel bar until 1:30. People also stumble in at all hours of the morning after partying. Even with strong earplugs I barely got to sleep.

- as some other reviewers have noted, a lot of the staff seem to just want to sell you on day and nighttime events and aren’t really friendly otherwise

- The door in the female dorm doesn’t lock unless from the inside. If one guest forgets to lock it before heading out, it can be open for anyone to come into which happened several times while I was there

- the beach is up to 30 minutes away by bus and not as readily accessible as it would be if you were staying in the main hotel zone area

I’m already planning on coming back! The value is unbeatable (breakfast and dinner included, the property has so many areas in which to hang out, the staff are super friendly). The activities planned at the hostel are perfect for those who maybe for too much sun and need a breather in some shade. I wish I had been there longer! The area is nice, I felt safe walking around. Supermarkets, pharmacies and restaurants are close by and bus to beach is close as well. The ONLY suggestion I have is to have a non slip border around the pool, I went to step down from the eating area to sit in a chair by the pool and fell pretty hard.

Best Staff Ever

While this hostel looks amazing, all the credit for my great time in it has to go to the amazing staff. Pascual not only the great yoga teacher, also an amazing entertainer. He treated me as if I was family.
Esti, my Iberian conterranean is a super star. She is great making sure everyone is having the best time. Always with a smile on her face.
Then Victor, another amazing entertainer. Always ready to accommodate everyone's needs. I felt like I was visiting an old friend.
Adrian the receptionist, great way to be welcomed. Professional and at same time very friendly.
These group of people are doing there work but I always felt that they genuinely love what they do and go beyond their duty to ensure everyone has the time of their lives. I did for certain and I know I have made friends for life.

Nicely Located Downtown Hostel

The common area was nice and even with a hot day it has a good breeze. However, everybody seemed to be smoking in the area which was a bit tough for a non-smoker. The people were nice and facility is great. It's very convenient if you don't need to be right on the beach. The area (along Av. Nader) is hopping with new restaurants and cafe, and it's closer to the bus station.

Extremely wonderful hostel. They bbq'ed hamburgers for a free family dinner. They also had the grill going for anyone wanting to grill up extra food. They had a chef cooking made to order omelettes and other food for a free breakfast. They had a DJ for a pool party. They also have day time events. The location couldn't be better. You're surrounded by top notch restaurants and bars within a block to a few blocks.

When we arrived, the man at the reception desk said we owed more money than we paid on Expedia. I found this hostel to be incredibly tacky. It wasn't my scene, but if you are interested in a hostel that babysits you and sets up trips for you, this is the place.

Cool social scene, convenient, moldy smell

We spent most of our time in Tulum and Playa del Carmen but stayed the last night here in Cancun before an early morning flight. Staff was friendly and helpful. It was actually cheaper to order a taxi to the airport through the hostel than what was quoted by the taxi we used to get there from the ADO station. We could have walked from the ADO station, but it was raining.

The room was comfortable but for two things: it had the smell of dampness which plagues so many budget-to-mid-range hotels in the area, and it was initially loud at night. However, at around 11pm, they cut the music in the hangout area, and everybody quiets down and either goes to bed or (I assume) goes to party.

They have a free dinner which we didn't partake in the night we arrived since we'd already eaten, although it smelled good--veggie enchiladas. Also free breakfast, but we left too early. Looked/sounded like a cool social scene, although we were too tired to check it out. I could hear the ubiquitous \"where are you from\" conversations going on.

Overall, I'd stay here again.

Eclectic place to land for a few days

My partner and I enjoyed this place. We stayed here twice and were able to store some items in between stays for a small fee. The rooms we were in were nice, the first one was close to the kitchen and was a little loud. When I asked for a quieter one for our next visit they accommodated. The staff were friendly and spoke some English.

Me encantó mi estancia en este hotel. Las instalaciones son muy bonitas y se nota el cuidado en cada detalle. Lo que más valoré fue la limpieza; las habitaciones están impecables, lo cual te hace sentir muy cómodo desde el primer momento.
El servicio es de lo mejor, todo el personal es sumamente amable, pero quiero hacer una mención especial para Chavely en recepción, quien nos recibió con una atención increíble y mucha calidez.
En cuanto a la comida, cené un sushi delicioso en el hotel. Me quedé con las ganas de conocer el otro restaurante y la cafetería porque me faltó tiempo, pero definitivamente se ven muy bien y quedan pendientes para mi próxima visita.
¡Sin duda volveré!

Me encantó el hotel. El check-in fue rapidísimo y sin complicaciones. La habitación es preciosa y se nota que la mantienen muy bien cuidada y limpia.
La comida es un punto aparte: cenamos un sushi delicioso y el desayuno en el restaurante mexicano estaba increíble, con mucho sabor. Además, está súper completo porque tiene cafetería y un spa perfecto para relajarse.

建物や設備は新しくないようでしたが、清掃が行き届いており、清潔感があり、気持ちよく過ごせました。（客室清掃スタッフに感謝）

レセプションスタッフも親切で、全体的に居心地の良いホテルでした。

カンクンは暖かいので、客室に冷蔵庫があるともっと良かった。（私が事前に確認していなかったので、ホテルに不備はありません）

I felt safe here and the facilities are awesome! This is a great hostel if you need to work or go to/from the airport, though it is far from the beach, so I wouldn't stay here if that was the main reason for you to go to Cancun
