Really lovely big room and comfortable bed. We slept really well here. Staff were super friendly. There were lots of great cafes and restaurants nearby for breakfast and dinner and a supermarket. The ADO bus station is a 5 minute walk away too.
We used the pool but didn’t take part in any of the yoga or wellbeing options. We did eat breakfast in the adjoining restaurant but found there were other better options nearby at a more reasonable price.

My sister and I enjoyed a peaceful night at Pachamaya. Staff were kind and helpful, and the room was quiet. Staff even brought their dogs to the property which gave the space a home-y feeling

Enjoyed my 5 night stay that began with a friendly welcome from Roy and an easy check-in. My room was simple but clean, comfortable, and served all of my needs. Firm bed, no tv. Very relaxing! I participated in three terrific yoga classes on-site as well as had one excellent massage. The pool was nice after each active day and was never busier than four other people. Perfect! Dalia and Marlies at the front desk were incredibly kind and personable. They kindly answered all of my questions and gave great recommendations for beaches, cafes, and restaurants, all very accessible by foot or Uber. I had a terrific stay in sunny Cancun and am very thankful for wonderful staff at peaceful Pachamaya.

The staff are all fabulous and communication with them is incredibly easy. I recommend downloading what’s app before you arrive as that is how they communicate with guests. Check in was easy, I was given a brief tour of the property and sent a welcome message with attachments outlining all the services offered. The spa services were beautiful and relaxing and the drinks at the attached cafe are excellent. I can’t speak on the food as I was not able to eat much due to dental procedures. The outdoor spaces are clean and offer a peaceful environment. I would absolutely recommend staying here. The area is walkable with lots of great restaurants nearby.

La atencion de Dalia fue buena, tambien una chica que nos recibió en la noche, solo un hombre se acercopara callarnos por platicar afuera del cuarto unos minutos a eso de las 11, si viajas con niños, les deberas decir que hablen bajo no es un hotel muy recomendado para familias, en nuestro caso nos funciono por que solo ibamos de paso.

I booked the property because of the wellness activities but I wasn't able to do that. They were not transparent about the location of their rooms before booking, the Executive king room is located in another street opposite the main building and had no amenities asides a small pool, there is no complementary water asides a water dispenser located at the entrance, if you need to get bottled water, you have to pay for it. There is also no complementary snacks (Not that I cared so much about it, but it would have been a nice to have), also they do not provide breakfast, you have to pay to get breakfast (about 250MXN), wellness activities are also not pocket friendly. I got in by 12pm and the reception said I couldn't check in, that I had to wait until 3pm which was fine by me. I said I was going to go out and come back in when they were done preparing the room, the lady asked for my contact and said they will inform me when the room was ready, I received no confirmation, I had to check back with them around 8pm and eventually checked in. They were also going to charge me 20 USD for putting makeup stains in an old towel which I found really absurd.
You are basically paying to sleep in a room, nothing else is attached.

We had a great experience at this hotel. The staff was really friendly from the beginning. Here are some positive notes: The massage service was amazing and affordable. We rented a car and everything was nearby, at a 10min driving distance. There was also a gym nearby (evolve) which is not even a 5 minute walk. A lot of restaurant options as well near the hotel.

Here were some points where there is room for improvement: In the pictures prior to renting the room, we saw a fridge but in our room there wasn’t any (deluxe studio king bed room). No iron in the room for the clothes (but can ask the reception for it, need to hand it back once done using) and no TV (makes sense as it is a wellness hotel, ideal for relaxing)

The staff was very kind all the time, there was always someone to help available. The pool and yoga class were also quite nice, exceeding expectations.
Matters was a bit hard for my taste but still ok.
It would be nice if they could improve the shower heads. It was hard for someone not too tall to shower because most of the water was aimed at the wall, and without washing the hair, it was impossible to stand straight. If the heads were adjustable, it would be a huge improvement. I would still totally recommend this stay, hoping to go back soon!

Hidden little GEM

The people who work at are AMAZING! They are extremely friendly and went above and behind. Initially we were only going to stay for 1 night, but ended up staying 3 nights. It was very chill and quiet. We enjoyed the pool area, although the hot tub was not heated, so that was unfortunate. We got massages, facials and did one of their sound baths. All were amazing, however during the sound bath, we could hear the front receptionist talking with other guests, which was disruptive. The food was delicious in the restaurant and the lattes, were mouth watering!

We didn’t realize it was a hostel until day 2. We got to meet some wonderful guests! It was close to many things, and made getting around easy. We did have a car, and were able to park for free right in front.

The room (#5) was large and came with 2 private twin bunks and 1 double sized bed. The first night, I slept on the double and it was EXTREMELY uncomfortable, so I decided to give the bunk a try. It was MUCH more comfortable and I actually really liked the curtains on it!

Overall, I would definitely stay here again!

Cockroaches and terrible customer service

After arriving from a very long 11hr flight it took us ages to find the property because it is listed on two different locations depending on which map app you use. On arrival, we were told we had mistakenly booked for 1 guest in 1 room instead of 2 guests in 1 room. This was my mistake but the lady at the front desk proceeded to spend 10 minutes chatting to someone on the phone about it and then eventually charged us an extra fee. I would have been fine with this but the room rate was the same online for 1 or 2 guests, so not sure why this extra fee was necessary and even if it was - couldn’t we have sorted it out on checkout when we weren’t clearly exhausted??

The room we were given didn’t look like the pictures and there were cockroaches in the outdoor corridors and stairwell leading to our room (the door had a huge gap underneath so I’m not sure what would stop the roaches from coming into the room also).

The only positive was the pool area was nice but unfortunately we didn’t get time to use it. Would not return.

It is very minimalistic. The morning lady who speaks English at the reception is not friendly at all. The rooms are very basic. Do not expect any luxury at all. After heavy rains, our rooms are flooded twice so we had to change rooms at 11 pm twice.

Hôtel situé en ville, à distance de marche de la station de bus ADO. Piscine agréable. Pas de bar et musique relaxante. Chambre très grande, mais il manque un frigo, une machine à café et un téléviseur. L’hôtel est propre et propose des soins (il faudrait peut-être en laisser la liste avec les prix dans la chambre). Il est facile de se déplacer vers la zone hôtelière avec le bus. Resto attenant et plusieurs options tout près.

Especially for a solo traveler, safety is the on the top of mind. The place let you feel like at home.
Soft and light music playing in the background with aromatic fragrance in the air reduce the stress right away. Either you are relaxing by the pool or stretching on the mat at patio, or sipping and/or dinning under soft lighting surrounded by the green, you will find whatever you need as a break from traveling.
Close to the safest area in the city, City hall and public transit, walking distance to the local shopping and hidden jems. With flexible types of accommodations and warm hearted staff, you can find people from all walks of life, different continents and difference age group flocking here even in the slow tourist season.

My Restaurant Consesstion Experience.

I provided a Stellar Review of this Property. I failed to include the Private Restaurant Consesstion! On my first one day stay at this property, and Because I was traveling onward. I decided to just give the 'Chef' two beautiful 1/4 lb Pork Chops and 3/4 lbs of Premium Virginia Ham ($$). Yesterday the last day of my stay. I provided 'Them' a Special Bread item to be included in a Lunch order I thought that I made with the 'Cook'. He then informed me at 1:40 pm that the 'Concession' was closing in 20 minutes! He was obviously 'Pissed Off At Me'!! Supposedly a 8am- 4pm operation? After about 30+ minutes, I went to the kitchen only to see my bread sitting on the outside counter. I asked the 'Chef' why It was just abandoned there. Only to be looked at like I had \"Two Heads\". I inquired that perhaps I could have some food prepared at that time? Only to be Rebuffed. As they claimed 'they' were Closed For Business! At 2:05pm.? I was traveling the next morning, so I asked 'Them' to Pls perpare a bearkfast sandwich with the bread I provided. Only to be told that 'They' didn't have any Ham to make it with. Only Eggs. I then provided them with a 240oz package of Virginia Ham. I mentioned to 'Them' that I was leaving for the airport at 10:00am and I needed it by then. Now I had Three heads!! I knew right then I was Getting Nothing before my departure to the airport. Believe me I got Nothing. I just said \"Enjoy some more Free Ham\" and I left this morning 'Disappointed and Disgusted. FM!

This was a last minute booking due to a very dirty and dangerous hotel we book the last night before our return flight. The girl at the front desk was very nice and friendly. The room itself was spacious and clean, however there were not blankets, no good pillows, and the mattress need to be change. They were bend in the .middle and rock as a rock.

When I booked Pachamaya at the last moment due to flight cancellations I was merely looking for a place to stay, but what I got was surprizing and unexpected in a very good way.
They are a holistic wellness center and deserve the stars they have. The lady at the reception, Lucero was friendly and courteous. Tho I was unable to attend their wellness activities, I did take advantage of their spa services and it provided the much needed theraputic relaxation.
The room was not sound proof but I had restful sleep both nights I stayed with them.
Several great food options around the place. Safe neighborhood for pedestrians.
