The rooms were impeccably clean, the prosperity has been newly renovated and was in excellent repair. The staff was available for late checking, but seemed a little out upon to have guests, but were OK. There aren’t amenities on site, but it is in an excellent neighborhood, with restaurants stores, local vibrancy that was a 20 minute walk from Paddington station, with 2 tube stations nearby.

Had a lovely stay! Rooms are nothing fancy but the bathrooms are very clean and housekeeping every day is great. Staff were friendly. It’s the perfect location for exploring London, and the buildings around the square are beautiful. I would definitely stay here again!

The rooms were spotless, and the staff were very helpful and courteous. The location is fantastic, just around the corner are two tube stations. The street is fairly quiet.
The temperature thermometer in our room was not working so the room was a little overheated, but we were able to crack open the windows and everything was fine. For some reason, the telephone in our room was not working so we could not call down to the front desk, but when we mentioned it later, they said there was a manual adjustment on the radiator. But these were small issues. I would definitely stay here again!

The staff was not helpful at all. The room had the smallest bathroom I've ever saw in all Europe (see pics). The front desk lady was rude and not helpful at all, she just kept babling about her 40 years experience in the industry, which I doubt, being treated much better in other hotels, where the goal is to help customers. We wanted to change room due to the small bathroom and the only response (form that lady) was to upgrade making an additional payment. When mi wife explained that the rate for Sunday night was well below what we paid, the only answer was the rhetoric about her 40 years of experience. Not happy at all. I hoped Expedia, our agency, would stand by us but that didn't happen. We had to pay 40 English pounds in addition to what we already paid to get a room with a decent size bathroom
We are not coming back to London House Hotel ever, after that fiasco. I will not recommend going to that hotel to anybody

Really nice clean rooms and friendly staff. Plenty of hot water and heat. Rooms are small and you can hear people outside but that didn’t bother us. The neighborhood is beautiful and near all public transportation, and it’s near nice restaurants, souvenir shops, and grocery stores. A really nice surprise with the cleanliness and kind staff (cleaners & front desk).

Quiet neighborhood adjacent to a private park. Small hotel in residential area but short walk to commercial street with ok restaurants. Not far from Notting Hill with excellent choices for food and boutiques. Room was tiny with two twin beds that were soft. Affordable and serviceable.

Staff was great when we checked in. However, the cleaners were extremely loud when they started cleaning at 7:30/8. Also, the rooms were TINY. No way can two people share a room! Unless they don’t have any luggage. The rooms were HOT and stuffy. No air would turn on. We could t even turn the heat off all the way, so had to open a window which was super loud throughout the night. Also, the rooms are not soundproof. You can hear everything and people make a lot of noise at all hours of the night. I wouldn’t stay here again, unfortunately.

What a lovely English Hotel- with an elevator. The staff were all so very helpful and friendly. Made you feel like family. Bayswater is a great location! Lots of good eats, pubs, international cuisine and close to the Tube and bus stations. You can walk to Hyde park and Harrods- though I took the tube because if my mobility issues. Prince Alfred’s Pub was a nice afternoon respite with a hot Irish Coffee. Coffee at Granier’s is excellent and breakfast at Les Filled Cafe was delicious! As was the coffees and Chai. I’ll be back!

London House Hotel

I have stayed in Bayswater area hotels a few times. Many hotels are in older buildings that were originally flats, some of them with decent sized rooms. The area is safe with several pubs, multicultural restaurants and grocery chain convenience stores.

This was my first visit to the London House Hotel . I was traveling with my brother so I booked a twin room.

The hotel is bright and modern inside. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and equipped with a compact mini fridge , kettle and coffee and tea. The bathroom fixtures were very modern. There was a breakfast buffet available and it looked quite good

The only drawback was our twin room was very small. Barely enough room for the two beds. A small closet, compact bathroom. We kept our suitcases closed and stood up agains a wall.

The room was great for a night or two, but for longer stays I’d suggest a larger room .

Great location near Hyde Park, a subway station, Notting hill, lots of restaurants nearby and food shops. Quiet location. Rooms are small but adequate, ours felt overheated and had to keep the window open to cool it down, mattress was horrible, you could feel and hear the springs and we slept terribly. But otherwise great location and clean hotel. Maybe we just got a bad bed but if they're all like that then it's a problem

Over all this property is in an excellent location, but the amenities have a few issues that greatly impacted my stay.

The bed was very uncomfortable. They are two beds, with very little support, pushed together. Additionally, while the AC does get cold, the fan is very weak so it can take a long time to change the temp in the room. Additionally, the room is rather small, but this is often true in London.

I will say the staff were very kind and prompt, but the bed and AC can be dealbreakers for me.

The breakfast was quite varied and nice. The room itself was a bit small, but that was fine. Reception staff just met the bare minimum friendliness while the staff you come across or in the breakfast room don't even smile back. The place is just a few minutes walk from two underground train stops which is extremely convenient. Room service comes around every day which was nice.

The transportation via tube couldn’t be more convenient. We were often in direct line to shows and museums without very little change in metro lines if any.

The staff is very solicitous and brought me ice bucket twice for my bruised leg. My only complaint was the walls are thin and my neighbor in the room above kept me up all night because he had a heavy footsteps and was pacing the room all night. Despite that I would recommend this property located near a vibrant neighborhood.

This was our first trip to London, and we had a great stay! The hotel’s location near Bayswater station made getting around the city very easy. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we appreciated being able to store our luggage after checkout so we could enjoy our last day without worry. The neighborhood was charming and full of character and close to some great cafes, restaurants and a grocery store— we’d definitely stay here again!

Room was ridiculously tiny. No dressers/drawers. No place in bathroom for products around sink. One narrow, short shelf to put anything on in entire room. Duvet cover was too narrow for the bed. Refrigerator needed to be completely removed from wardrobe before finding plug to turn it on! Breakfast buffet was cold and staff indifferent when told. Asked for refund for cold breakfast and staff had no one to ask for approval. So, no refund at 15 pounds per person! Lobby was cold and uninviting. Bright lights, widely placed chairs, vivid colors, nothing cozy. No bar or restaurant in hotel or reasonably close. Hop on hop off bus 3 blocks away. Would never return.

We reserved their twin room on the 'ground floor' for 7 nights in mid-September. The twin beds were much narrower then a normal twin bed and it was in the basement which they call they ground floor. Given that there is a lift the basement floor was fine. The air conditionimg in the room did not work well and the shower is extremely small and the door doesn't open all the way. I can\"t speak to the size of all of the rooms but this one is small sparsely decorated. I really did not think it was worth the price. It is however in a nice arra and the Bayswater tube is only about a 5 minute walk and the Queensway tube about a 10 min walk. Overall three stars

I was very disappointed with this hotel. It was more like a hostel than hotel. Very small sparse room with no place to put luggage on other than the floor. No place to sit other than bed. Bathroom was very small with no place to sit anything. At $200/night we should certainly have had a better room than this was. Would not go back. Beautiful checking in area but nothing else impressive or even standard about this hotel.

American perspective: the hotel was clean but older, the rooms were tight and the bathrooms even more so. I chose it because they said they had A/C, the first room we were given the A/C did not work, they gave us a fan. Second day we were moved to another room, the A/C worked but not very effectively. Positives: the lift worked, breakfast provided, safe area and was relatively quiet.

Like - Easy walk to 2 tube stations. Lots of local restaurants /cafes, supermarket express shops eg M&S, Tesco, Sainsbury’s. Quiet hotel in quiet neighbourhood, but just 2 minutes walk from Queensway.
Beds were quite comfortable, good shower and air con. and room was quiet.

Didn’t like - we had a garden view room, which was on the small side, so too was the bathroom, however, for London they were OK.
The hotel reception area was very clinical and unwelcoming - no personality. The staff, whilst very courteous, gave impression they really didn’t want to be there. Even the housekeeping staff didn’t say hello!
We would stay there again, but not before checking out other hotels in the area.
