I very rarely write reviews. I was in cardiff for work. It was a lovely studio. Nice clean room, TV, wifi, hotshower. Stone throw from town but nice quiet road. I wasn't driving so can't comment on parking. Instruction was sent via email but I received a phone call prior too. Very easy Instructions.

The apartment was in a secure, excellent location for exploring Cardiff. However, we felt the apartment was quite dirty upon arrival and lacked a lot of the basics you’d expect for the price we paid. The bathroom was mouldy, with stains on the bathroom floor and only half a toilet roll left for the entirely of our stay. The shampoo dispenser was broken, and so was the blind rail (we were able to fix this easily ourselves, but that’s not the point).

Great location and price very good. Room ok for a short stay. Unfortunately we stayed when really hot and there is no aircon or windows that will open so like an oven in the hot weather. Blinds do not fit too well so let light through.

Convenient location, well maintained. Studio room a little small, but fine if you dont intend to spend much time in there. The window by the door was an odd choice and during the night let light into the room. Take an eye mask!

Prior to making a reservation, I read the reviews. They were mixed but one caught my attention: “Not safe. Do not stay here.” After my one week stay, I totally and completely agreed with that review. Due to deranged drivers and their ultra loud jalopies, the apartment was super uncomfortable. Due to clueless people who won’t take “NEVER” for an answer - they had keys to the adjacent apartments and caused all sorts of unpleasantness. They made the entire building feel unsafe.

During the first three days and nights, I heard disturbances caused by inconsiderate and undesirable people attempting to make contact when no contact is desirable. On the fourth and subsequent days and nights, the disturbances turned into torture. Someone would go to the apartment above mine and pound the ceiling with a heavy metal object.

At first glance, the apartment looked alright. When I attempted to close the roller blinds, their beaded chain split into two in the living room and came all the way to the floor in the bedroom. Those curtains do not allow for any privacy. The roll of toilet paper fell to the floor when I touched it; its handle was broken. In the kitchen, an unwashed pan had grease in it. The colander had a sticky, unwashed substance in its perforations.

When moving my luggage outside the apartment, I met two housekeeping staff. The female reeked of perfume; it was unbearable. While I arranged my luggage outside, she kept banging the kitchen cabinets doors with full force.

Pleasant accommodation close to university, with cooking facilities
Accommodation was clean , warm and had everything we needed for our stay. Only issue is no on site parking but parking in nearby streets is possible (payable and maximum 5 hours) with a larger NCP car park within 5 minutes walk
Would stay there again and would recommend for a short stay.

The apartment is in a great location close to everything but the condition of the apartment wasn’t clean we went out and brought mats for the shower because it had mould in it also the bedrooms had dust that thick under the beds and bedside tables

For the price, it is decent place to stay. Right next to city centre and a large park. I got the studio apartment, it gets quite warm in there when I visit. The extractor fan isn't quite strong enough to cool the room. The bathroom is tidy enough but the drain was blocked so shower tray fills up with water and when I arrived the face towel supplied are lying on the wet floor...

It was a great area, walkable to the city centre and Cardiff Castle. Room was nice and spacious, good for 2 people. The only downside was that there was no AC and the fan that was provided barely worked so it was very warm in the room. As we were on the ground floor, by opening the window it didn’t help at all as it was covered from outside so there was no ventilation.

We had 3 apartments
1. The fridge was freezing the food
The second we couldn’t close the freezer
The are giving only one roll of toilette paper for a family of 4
The main door of the building is not locked so every one can get inside check out time is 1100 so why the cleaning man arrives at 1030
The location is great

We were thrilled to find this property at a reasonable price and great location during Six Nations.

Communication from the property was clear and timely.

The shower had been damaged by a previous tenant, so I sent an email to the property and two friendly gents came to fix it within 2 hours. Great response!

Queen Street shops and a Tesco are a 10 minute walk away. Central Cardiff arcades are 15-20 minutes away.

When we come back we will look to reserve this space again.

Place seemed empty. I was put in room 1. Was noisy all night from ppl passing snd traffic. Would I stay again? No. I d rather pay £100 more to stay in the park gate or Hilton and have a good nights sleep.

We were given the wrong key code and had difficulty getting into the property. When we tried to phone the office of Parklane by Urban space nobody answered. Once we were into the property we had to take turns having a cup of tea as there was only 3 mugs, there were 4 of us. 1 of the mugs looked like it had been used by the previous occupier as a toothbrush holder there was grime and toothpaste dribbling down the side of the mug which had not been washed and put back in the cupboard! We couldn’t get hold of the management company by phone as every time it rang it just disconnected so I emailed them, they then sent somebody round to bring another mug and did a quick clean of the property.However the place was still an absolute disgusting state even after a quick clean. There was food left in the freezer from the previous occupier and costume jewellery left in the second bedroom which was obviously from the previous occupier, the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned at all it was disgusting, the shower caddy had a buildup of black grime from what appears to be months of dirt, the microwave oven/oven hadn’t been cleaned and was full of crumbs and splattered food on the side, the skirting boards had fluff and dust all over them as did the floor the cooker hood was thick with grime and my daughters white socks were black on the bottom from the floor not being cleaned. We were unable to get hold of the Management company.Expedia were looking into this however they haven’t replied in a month

My stay at Parklane Aparthotel was amazing.
The apartments are very well located in Cardiff, very close to parks, museum, shopping centre, entertainment, train station.
Even though in a busy area but the facility was safe and is very well kept. Rooms are spotless clean! With nice self service,fully equipped kitchen with eating area, a shower and toilet, desk and very comfortable bed. Ironing items are provided in each room as well as a hair dryer.

Good location, recommended !

Very clean studio-type place to stay. Yes it was comfortable.

There is some (but not much) free weekend on-street parking fairly nearby, in the Salisbury Road area.

The main parts of the city centre a easy walking distance.

Our main drawback was it being a bit costly and communication about the self entry was initially lacking

Please AVOID this place!! Cleanliness was ZERO!

Please don't waste your hard earned money on this place. There are plenty of other places in Cardiff for the same price, if not lower price, to stay and are far better than here!

The check in was easy to understand as per the emailed instructions, and was a good way of a contactless check in. We can't fault that.

The room was dirty upon arrival, with crumbs on the floor, dirty towels, bugs in the bathroom, dirty shower screen, dirty sinks and taps in both the bathroom and kitchen, absolutely disgustingly dirty kitchen utensils and utensil holder, no bin bags in either bin, and the smell of the place was utterly horrendous. I've had to wash every single thing we took away with us upon returning home as the smell lingering on everything was awful!

Hotels.com contacted tbe property owner on our behalf who said they would send housekeeping to 'rectify' the issues with cleaning, however it made absolutely zero difference to the cleanliness as the 'new, clean' towels we were given were covered in black marks and the room was still no cleaner.

The bed was the most uncomfortable thing I have ever tried to sleep on. I honestly think a bench in the park opposite would have been better!

We also had someone letting themselves into our room numerous times during our stay, without as much an explanation as to who they were!! Not great considering the current Covid situation! We don't know who they were, what they wanted, or if they were Covid free! Which has made us very angry!
