Just stayed for 3 nights in B01, the basement room with kitchenette. Great location, quiet, housekeeping and remote staff were on it. You just have to appreciate the deal you’re getting for the location and the kitchenette. It’s older, but you’re in Hyde Park London. Gorgeous street, responsive team. The bedding could be softer, the pillows could be better, but for the price it was far beyond what I expected. Very safe and quiet with everything you need a quick walk away. I would absolutely stay again.

Reception is a 5/6 min walk away. The TV remote did not work, two of three light build did not work over the mirror in the bathroom, house rules are on the line of concentration camp, in poor condition, dirty and dusty, no bedside light, It was not an apartment as all I got was a Fridge and kettle. The only plus was the location but with some many options in the area I will not be staying there again. It was the pits!

Lovely area, however the room was dirty and the beds stained. Our bed was broken and kept threatening to break at any moment.
The shower was broken and only pointed at the wall.
The room was dark and dingy. Definitely not an apartment as described. Just a room with an added built in toilet and shower and small kitchenette at the end of your bed.
Very loud at nice, people coming and going slamming doors. Didnt help we were the room right next to the front door.
Was cheap, hence why we chose it for one night. But wont stay again.

Stayed here with friends, 3 adults, 3 children
Lovely quiet road, but so close to Hyde park and paralleled to street with lots of shops and restaurants, and Waitrose just round the corner
Clean flat with just about everything you need for a comfortable stay. Clean comfy beds, lots of hot water, heating worked well, friendly neighbour!
Will stay here again I am sure

The room was fine and the area great. The only downside was the tv remote didn't work and using the manual button to switch on was OK but the panel buttons were disbaled so I couldn't vary volume or change channel. I had to switch of the TV at the socket.

Unit is at the top floor with no lift. Property is not clean and doesnt feel clean. Fridge is smelly and had to clean it myself to put our food. Dusty. Sheets have stains.

I was upgraded to a different room that had another bed in it - I didn't ask for an upgrade and the other bed restricted the space in the room.

My room was situated next to the front door which meant that ate arriving guest always made noise and disturb my sleep. Very inconvenient.

Check was pleasingly straightforward.The property was just a 2 minute walk away and the room itself weas clean and decently sized. Good sized and well equipped shower room with plenty of towels. Also tea and coffee making facilities and free bottled water were a generous touch.

Building in poor condition with masonry from work in driveway.This was cleaned up next day. Got basement flat which is not suitable for two.It did not feel secure as double door could easily be prised open. Stain on ceiling & only one chair available so 2nd person would have to sit on bed.No shelving to place anything..You could hear pipework working & someone was drilling early each morning.

My money was stolen from my room! I have seen my personal belongings moved around. I asked the reception if they can at least check with CCTV and they outright rejected to check.
All they said is call the police. The only thing police does is to give you a number so you can provide to your insurer.

The safe deposit doesn't even work in the room so you cannot even use it!

I have asked them further to investigate and they just said we asked the room service they didn't come in to your room.

I have told them I wasn't feeling safe they told me they will send maintenance person. He came the next day! I couldn't even sleep because someone could break in again! Maintenance person said the door wasn't forced it must be someone with card.

I would have understood slightly if they actually bothered to check CCTV today to see who could have entered this area. But no, they don't simply bother!
By the way it's quite simple, CCTV only sees 3 rooms, so apart from these room residents it's whoever entered there! So obvious.

The manager offered nothing but replacing me to 2nd floor. No compensation or anything else was offered. I really don't recommend this place!

Receptionist was very concerned and wanted to help but obviously management did not care. Why would they? They had our money and there was nothing we could do. During the very hot humid week in London. Horrible nights with no sleep.

The only issue I had was, the actual suite location was a 10-minute walk from where you had to check-in, after a busy day with luggage on hand you don't want to be walking another 10 minutes to get to your room. That should have been clarified the suite is not 'on-site' of check-in.

This is the second time I have stayed here, last in 2015. Sure its a bit worn out but I found both times very clean, secure and reasonably quiet, and very functional. Its very low cost and location to Bayswater with the tube and shops is worth it. Will stay again next time

Mixed feelings about this one. The description made it sound like laundry service was on site. While they are on site in the building where you check in, we were assigned a unit 1/2 mike away. Unit was on 4th floor, with difficult stairs to navigate. Luckily we had backpacks as luggage and no health concerns. On the flip side, it was clean and the neighborhood was great. Close to the tube station and a grocery store. We found a coin laundry around the block. Good price. However, will not likely stay there again.

Great value for money

Was pleasantly surprised with our apartment. Great size with kitchen and living room, we were on the 4th floor, which is a steep climb but nothing to complain about. Stay was fine. Didn’t realise there was no lift and I’d been given the 3rd floor. Compact room looked bigger in photos. Couldn’t open the window or blinds as it was noisy.

Good location although at the wrong end of Hyde Park for the Christmas market. Close to underground and buses were easy to use to get to the shopping areas. Lots of cafes, restaurants and shops at the opposite end of the street.

That old & Tired Feeling

Arrived with my wife aged 60,my Aunt aged 85 and myself 73. Were allocated two rooms, 1 in the basement and 1 on 4th floor. We considered Aunts age and thought basement was for her and 4th for wife and myself.
The basement room was down a staircase of 22 steps WITHOUT a handrail and 4th up 70 steps the last 20 WITHOUT a handrail. This is not good. Health & Safety and consideration for customers is none existent. Certainly very disappointed and VERY Sore and leg weary. Elderly persons cannot climb or decened Everest.
Hotel in general OK clean, modern and staff helpful to a point. Will not use again.

Good location,

I have stayed here before, last time I think I was luckly in having a larger upstairs room. This time I had choice of 5th floor or basment. I chose basement, it was fine, quite a small space a bit intense as it was dark and window was overlooked from roadway.

The main thing that was a challenge was the heat - even in late september with no heating on it was very hot, window had no safety latch so could not be left open overnight, even when open room was still stuffy, had to sleep with fan on cold.

Great location, no in-room storage

The hotel was clean and friendly, but the \"standard studio\" with two beds is not for the faint of heart for a long stay. There are no elevators so lots of steps up a narrow hallway if you are not on the ground floor. The room was big enough for the amount of time spent in it, but the only storage space is a small closet for hanging things. There are no dressers and not even a place to leave your toothbrush in the bathroom. You will be living out of your suitcase on the floor for the duration.

The kitchenette turned out to not be nearly as important as we thought it would be. The fridge and dishes were good for drinks and morning coffee, but are you really going to cook a full meal in your hotel room?

Great for a stay of only a few nights, or travellers that don't mind having their things on the floor.

Awful awful awful. Worst place I've ever stayed, we were told we could access the building after midnight and the key they gave us would not work. We're two 19 year old girls who are strangers to London and were then blamed for trying to get attention to get into the building. The women at the front desk were horrible and not understanding of our situation and threatened to make us pay for other guests stays and blamed us for things we did not do.
Besides from that the shower was boiling hot and the temperate would not change and my friend scolded herself. They had no lock on the door to the roof which was incredibly dangerous as the railings were flimsy and very unsafe for children. The beds were hard and uncomfortable and I payed good money for it that I saved up for as I'm a student, which again the were not considerate of. If you value respect or comfort in any way then DO NOT STAY HERE.

Close to everything and easy on the budget.

Hotel was conveniently located - a few minutes to shopping, transit, restaurants - close to Hyde Park attractions. Easy ride to central sightseeing and just 2 minutes from the Hop on Hop off stop. Room was good size for a single occupant with kitchenette. Nice looking street. Price was economical - but don't expect room service. There's no elevator either. Otherwise good value all around.

The room provided was last floor. I guess they never rent as the hit does not work up there. Apparently the water pressure of the hit does not arrive up there. They gave me an electric hit. The Shower knob was broken and can't turn the mixer, so I had hot water only, they repaired the second day. Then the TV cable was broken and remained without tv the first two days. HORRIBLE stay! Thanks you but thank you!!!

The Chelsea neighborhood is full of better options

If you just need a place to sleep and shower, this could be an inexpensive choice for a very brief stay. But don't count on anything working normally. Practically no water pressure. Almost everything in the kitchen was broken or not functional, and the room is just barely large enough to contain the bed - to the point that one can't even open the closet doors! WiFi costs a small fortune if you need it for work. If you must book ahead, reserve only a couple nights and find another place locally once you're there.

Pleasant stay in sunny London

The location of the apartment is very handy for two Underground stations. The building is very close, considering I \"do\" walking, to both Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park which were very pleasant walks. Considering the next road seemed to be a high street with lots of shops, the area was quiet and residential with only very light traffic and buses going down the terrace we stayed on.

Nice high ceilling, depending on level of room. Spacious compared to hotels and accommodations in the Paddington area. Helpful, friendly staff. Not luxurious but reasonable for short stay. Try and avoid the basement rooms at all costs. Not only is it extremely cramped but there were men presumably from apartments upstairs smoking right out side the patio doors which where right next to the bed. Did not make for a comfortable first night. After making a few complaints we were allowed to move to an apartment which was a lot nicer and was more of what I expected from the pictures.

Hotel room was way too hot - with no heating on and windows open in early April we were still too hot. No idea from where heat was coming from.
Fridge was constantly noisy - as it probably struggled to combat the heat. Anyone unlucky enough to have this room in summer is likely to dehydrate!
Beds were so soft you almost fell off them as you sat on them as they compressed so much.
Cleanliness of room and Staff were OK.

Ideal location for tourists

Very close proximity to Hyde Park, bus stops and TWO tube stations. Our room was upgraded so we found the room to be spacious (by London standards) clean and well-equipped. Only downside was the heater didn't pump out enough warmth for us Australians and it took a long time for the shower to drain of water. Excellent free wifi connection and the kitchenette allowed us to keep costs down. Several grocery stores were also in close proximity. Great value for money.

Check in was quick. Very convenient to the underground! First impression of the room was that it was small, but clean and met our needs for a 6 night stay. Bathroom was clean, though in need of some repairs to tile and woodwork. The kitchenette was well stocked with dishes and pans. The refrigerator was big enough to hold a few days worth of groceries. There was an electric kettle/coffee pot to boil water for drinks, however the stove would not bring water to a boil in a pot to cook dinner. We were on the ground floor, which was great because I don't think they had a lift. The big shock came at night when we learned just how little sound was blocked in the room. Cars, people talking, stomping neighbors upstairs, motorcycles, and construction noise nearby all kept the whole family from a good night's sleep. All 6 nights. Some of the other guests would stay out until 3a.m. and then stomped throughout the hotel to get to their suite. I really wanted to love this hotel, but I had so much trouble sleeping that I would not stay here again.

This is the first time I've been to this hotel and I would return. The rooms are small but have everything required - comfortable bed and bedding, microwave, stove top, free WiFi, etc. The staff were efficient and friendly. The room was ready three hours earlier than expected. The hotel is a short walk from Hyde Park and two Tube stations. This was good value for money in an area that is saturated by poor \"suites\". I would definitely return.

For us only staying 1night and what we paid it was fine. However room B02 wasn't 'finished'. Sockets weren't filled in on the walls. The tap in the bathroom 'spat' water at you. The shower didn't work properly. Spot lights in the bathroom were just hanging out of the wall. We wouldn't stay here if we visited for longer but for one night 'it was fine'.

very modern room, really a full studio apartment - kitchen with pots and pans, microwave, refrig. and plates, cutlery, etc. Unfortunately, it was 97 steps up - a 5 storey walk-up, including three winding staircases - not for the faint of heart. The block appears to be mostly very young people working in London; not really a tourist location. The room itself was recently remodeled and I had no complaints. The lack of a lift, and the culture of twenty-somethings populating the building and the block was off-putting. For the cost you could do better within a few blocks.

Room Clean and adequite if looking for short stay in central London, ours was Four Nights. All staff friendley and Helpfull. Plenty of clean towels, but Bath/Shower connection had a leak and there was no Bath Plug. Tube and Buses close by would sugest you use Queensway stop for Buses.

Aside from the mouse trap (better safe than sorry I guess), the room was clean, a bit on the small side for 2 people, and could have had better lighting, but the location was good and it served it's purpose. The whole trip was amazing so it didn't matter that the room was not a 5 star resort. :)

Friendly staff. Mezzanine style, many flights of stairs, no lift. Not for the infirm or less than marathon fit. Told go x floor but with no signage, lost track (maybe that was just me disoriented) but it surely wasn't the x flight I found that room number! Room small, very basic furnishing, only for 2 - if all time is spent in bed or out (aka tourists). An outer door for each pair of rooms allowing a 2 room family unit was clever thinking. Lighting was glaring, industrial, no lamps, dimmers etc for an attempt at cozy; I used the bathroom light with door open or the glow from street lights. Nice wooden blinds - but curtains are more homely. Night was inexplicably warm, high up I was able to sleep with windows open - not recommended. Kitchen was a retrofit in an already small space, poorly equipped, bulbs dead. WiFi - mostly nonexistent. Complained, sensed the staff had heard before - nothing done now or clearly previously. Bathroom tiny , cleaned to 'male' standard :-). Felt it lacked daytime security, reception was a room off the main hallway and no view of comings and goings. At night the main door was locked, odd for a hotel but neccesary.

I have stayed in a few different aparthotels around country, this was my least favourite. Someone decided to throw kitchen spaces into already small hotel rooms. Okay for a hyperactive tourist, better a normal hotel if a business traveller, plenty places to eat nearby without smelling your KFC leftovers in the bin all night :-)

Service isn't included in your stay

I booked six mths ago requesting a room on a lower floor.Arriving we were given a 4th floor room.We climbed two floors which were fine then the stairs became ridiculously steep and narrow.Being fitter than average both of us were puffing when we reached our room.The superior studio was a tiny room with table/chairs directly inside the door, hard up against the foot of the bed which was up against two walls.If the person sleeping against the wall required the toilet in the night, they'd have to climb over their partner to get out the bed to a tiny ensuite with an automatic ceiling fan that made a din. I returned to reception and was told I had agreed to the 4th floor room,that there was nothing he could do after he'd looked at what was available.He offered 1 option which was a basement room. I was taken to a room twice the size but which looked out on an old shed and laundry and which was so hot that the window had to be left open 24/7 with a fan going.With no choice we took it.It only had a part roll of toilet paper and two sachets of milk with no regular tea bags.A request for teabags was ignored until firmly reminded and that was pretty much the standard of our 5-night stay.Location within London is great with two Underground stations off two different lines within 300 metres and bus facilities even closer.But don't stay at this hotel, they're not interested in your experience, just your money!

Hyde Park Suites

Booked in at number 55 then sent down the street to number 30 on the other side of the road to our actual accommodation. We are neither elderly nor 'spring chickens' so I would warn any potential bookers who are elderly (or a little unfit) that there is no lift at number 30. Our room was on the 4th floor, so had an unexpected 'workout' carting our luggage up the winding levels of stair cases (narrowing as you near the top of the building).
The accommodation was fine and suited our purpose, but if we booked here again, we would certainly request a room closer to terra firma

Great location close to amenities and transport. Comfortable but nothing flash. Tiny bathroom but more or less expected this.

Great location shame about the hotel

The location was great just around the corner from Bayswater tube station but the rooms were small and didn't look the cleanest. The sofa bed was the most uncomfortable bed I've ever had to sleep on but luckily for me this was only a one night stay. I wouldn't stay again

Very high climb on steep stairs to top floor!

If you are not a trained climber, make sure they don't give you a room on the top floor. It a very high climb on steep stairs! Also, it was very hot under the roof on a hot July day. Fortunately, they kept the door to the rooftop terrace open, and we could have a breath of fresh air and enjoy good views. But that door may not always be open, it looks like they only opened it for a while due to hot weather. Otherwise our room was quite OK

Worst nights sleep

We were put in the basement of the apartment block. The back door opened out onto the street and the door itself was not secure. There was ants in our room, air con was broke, tv didnt work, floor was in general dirty, no handle on fridge. Had awful sleep due to worrying about anyone being able to get in the back door. Reception unhelpful and wouldnt move us even though they knew it was two younf girls in a room like this

Good location, but things you should know

I've stayed in this area three times now - three different hotels - they vary. This particular hotel (apartment) complex is undergoing renovations. I'm familiar with the area, and I understand that there is often no lifts available, but my room was 3-4 floors up narrow stairs. This hotel should not be booked by anyone with mobility issues. I am 56 years old, in relatively good physical condition, but I have to say that I was fatigued by the time I got to the top of the stairs. The stove also did not work. I only stayed three nights and discovered this on the last night, so I didn't bother to request assistance. If you are looking for convenience/service, this is not your hotel. I wouldn't stay there again because of there being no lift available.

Very close to tube stop

My room was small but it had a microwave, stovetop, kitchen sink and fridge. It also had an iron and ironing board and a coffee maker. It was clean and well kept. It was nice having a small kitchen as I could save some money by eating in. There are two grocery stores less than a block from the hotel and the food was good and very inexpensive.

I would recommend the hotel to anyone going to London. The Queensway tube stop is about 500 feet from the hotel so it's very easy to explore London from there.
