Loose wall plug socket in bedroom that looked a bit dangerous. No iron or ironing board in the room and guy at front desk had to supply it. Nice clean breakfast room, but breakfast was mediocre. Room was tiny, literally the smallest room I have ever been in.

Pretty disappointing triple room. We were put in the lowest level below the street next to the breakfast room. We were awakened every morning before 7 am with the noise from the breakfast room preparations. The Internet was ok. The bathroom was one of the tiniest bathrooms I have ever been in. The beds were small and only average quality. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it.

Everything was wonderful and described online. It is quiet and walkable for shopping, food and the tube. Abdullah checked us in and quickly became our friend he greeted us everyday and always asked how our day was and if we needed anything just to ask. I will definitely stay here again. I should mention that while in London I got sick and needed to see a doctor and pharmacy, Abdulla helped us find an Urgent care and pharmacy. 24 hours later I was back on my feet and feeling better. Thank you Duke of Leinster!

Sadly, there was nothing to like. This place needs to shut down and repair with a safety and quality mindset. We were looking for a place to leave our stuff and go about our day and rest at night. It was so uncomfortable that we decided to leave somewhere else after our first night knowing we would loose our money since we had 4 nights reserved. Shower is scolding hot without ability to regulate. Portable A/C unit was not efficient and was leaking on the carpet so we had a smelly, damp carpet floor on a very small room. The fitted 4 beds in there and it was not walkable. Beds are mounted in high wooden uneven legs so your sleep is not good. Towels looked worn and that is a bad feeling. Bed was itchy and it was a lot more expensive that what you would expect. It was us and 2 kids. Not even full grown adults.
PLEASE, PLEASE, if you read this review, don’t t stay here. Don’t waste your money and please look for something else. We booked at This place is dirty and poorly managed. Of course no help from staff since there is nothing they can do.

The property was clean and quiet, and safe for families. The triple room we had was in the basement, and quite sizable. Local grocery stores were a short walk away.

The room included air conditioning and a mini fridge, which was unplugged, and took quite a while to cool down. The air conditioner unit did a great job during the recent heat wave.

The downside for us was that the shower gave no option for cold water, no matter how you moved the temperature dial. It went from cool to scalding in under 60 seconds. We had to complain at the front desk, and were told that the engineer had gone home for the day, the hotel was fully booked, and we could not move rooms.

The problem was fixed the next day while we were out, but their solution was to make the temperature dial immovable. So you had no option of a different temperature other than what it was set at.

The breakfast options were ok, but the scrambled eggs were swimming in water, the poached eggs were over hard, and the baked beans were never hot. The tea was great, as was the toast. It would be better if the selections changed changed from one day to the next, instead of the same items all week long. The staff were kind and helpful.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! We saw a rat in our room in the middle of our stay and the hotel manager did not believe me and accused me of making it up. I saw it run past my foot and into the bathroom!

And prior to seeing the rat, when I had stepped in the droppings in our bathroom, the front desk's response was to just clean it up myself with some tissue paper! Terrible customer service!

DO NOT STAY HERE!

They did switch us to a new room with no rats and the rest of our stay was fine. (We only stayed because our booking was non-refundable and there was nothing else reasonably priced and available during this summer/holiday season).

The breakfast was decent and the breakfast staff were lovely.

Great hotel!

Genuinely a brilliant hotel. Super friendly at check in, was provided with an ironing board ect and the place even had a small elevator. Which a fair amount of hotels in this area don't. Room was great, little balcony out the front too. Air conditioning and overall great. Breakfast was also decent downstairs with a good selections of bits and bobs, including some hot food too. Close to paddington and Hyde Park. Would absolutely stay again!

As a solo female traveller being on the ground floor isn't ideal and i would have appreciated a proactive discussion on that, it also made keeping the window open a concern which in a hot room was not very comfortable. My bathroom tiles were loose and the shower head was broken and i had to ask for a hairdryer. Small room but to be expected, not very attentive front desk staff which again was more a saftey concern than anything else.

The good:
The staff were very friendly and catered for us very well. Transport around the area was really good and optimal for our entire trip.

The neutral:
Rooms were a bit smaller than expected as the design of the room we were in made it more cramped then it should of been, maybe include more pictures of the rooms to fix this.

The bad:
Had a few noisy neighbours especially near 12am~2am as the walls are paper thin but this is not to the fault of the hotel.

Good location, easily walkable from Paddington and Queensway Tube Station ( Central Line) . The Reception staff were superb and very helpful. Nice area, with supermarkets and restaurants nearby, in addition to Kensington Park. The room met our needs with all the facilities we required. I've stayed in a few hotels around this area and this was the best, I've used. We had our 5 year old Granddaughter with us and the staff were so kind to her, she liked it too .

We had the best experience at this hotel. The room had everything we needed, the hotel looks simple from the outside, but is really nice inside and it gives London vibes!
The staff is very friendly, courteous, and helpful. The front desk attendants were nice and knowledgeable, and helped us navigate the city.
It is about 5-10 minutes walk to public transportation, depending on which station you need to get to. The walks around the hotel were peaceful, quiet, and felt really safe.
There are small convenience stores nearby for anything you might need in the middle of the night.
There is an elevator so it’s easy to go back and forth from the higher floor levels. But it’s also nice to walk down the beautiful stairs!
The breakfast is good as well.
We’ll gladly come back and we recommend this hotel.

It was in a excellent location and Paddington station was a 10 minute walk away which was convenient. There’s a number of things I hope the hotel can change. First the mirror is placed in such a place where you can’t even see yourself, maybe invest in long mirrors that is towards the window for better lighting. Second the room gets hot and there was just a small air conditioner but the back vent is meant to face outside of the window but that was not possible. The bathroom, I think soap is very outdated and unhygienic maybe invest in dispensing soap. Overall I honestly did like it, it’s just the little things that could make such a big difference. The elevator is a tad ridiculous though haha I could not believe how tiny.

The area around the hotel was lovely, serene & well kept - Bayswater is a nice area. Overall, we liked this hotel! The rooms clean and had some upgrades. The neighborhood is gorgeous. There are no shops and restaurants on this street, but only about a 4 min walk away, which is perfect because it kept our room quiet. The staff was all incredible. They were attentive and extremely friendly. However, there were some misses for us- the rooms are so small that you almost can’t pass the bed to get to the bathroom. Our room was extremely hot at night (we visited in August) but I know as an American, we have different temperature preferences :).
The breakfast was ok! We were able to make it work and get the kids fed, but they have only a few options.
We selected this hotel for part of our London trip due to its proximity to Paddington station and that was great! Overall, I’d recommend it, but possibly not for families that want a little more space :)

I booked a room for 2 even though it was only me. I don’t know why they advertise it like it’s for 2 while I could barely fit myself, and I am petite.
No variety on the breakfast. If you don’t mind eating the same on a seven days stay then it’s ok.
However, the Alina, the housekeeper and Namita at front desk made my stay more bearable. They were very nice and helpful.

The hotel was easily accessible by multiple bus routes and three Tube stations, including a 10-minute walk to the Elizabeth Line that takes you to Heathrow Airport. A wide selection of restaurants was two blocks over on Queensway. Also, it is within walking distance of several places of interest, including Kensington Palace, Notting Hill, and Portobello Road to name a few. The front desk staff were very friendly, offering weather tips and directions. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast options. Previous reviews had indicated room and elevator size (fits two people each with a carry-on), so we were not put off. Any quirks that we saw were probably due to the conversion of the building from a private home to a hotel. There was no central air in our room; however, there was a portable a/c unit that worked fine. Although the room was small compared to a US standard room, it was packed with all the amenities: a safe, hair dryer, mini fridge, an electric kettle, and all the complimentary hot drink condiments. If you are not a fussy traveler and looking for a clean and conveniently located place to stay while in London, then it is ideal.

Overall I’m 50/50 satisfied with my stay. Location of hotel is good as it’s accessible to 2 tube stations & many eateries. Breakfast was good & staff were helpful. The room however was very small especially the toilet shower cubicle (could barely move around). The air conditioning system wasn’t working properly so room felt stuffy. A permanent opening below the window brought in hot air & traffic noise from outside. Carpet is old.

The hotel itself was lovely and the staff were great and very friendly. The room was well maintained and clean. But the hotel,
in my opinion, was very, very cramped. The room which was meant for 4 people was too small, with very little space for our clothes and luggage. Even though we only slept in there, there was very little space to manoeuvre around the room. The dining room at breakfast was crowded. The lift was so small and left me feeling claustrophobic. The room was far too hot as well. There was an air conditioning unit available. However, the only available plug for it was in the tiny space that was free. Overall it was nice but not sure if I'd return due to how cramped it felt.

We spent a week at Duke of Leinster and found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were lovely and service was excellent. The hotel is very well located to many popular tourist spots, a number of train stations close by and easy walking distance to Hyde Park and Kensington. Would highly recommend and if ever in London again would be our first choice.

We were first in a ground floor room which I requested. But omg. There was no natural light and window was blacked out. No fresh air. Room was claustrophobic. Air con didn’t work properly even when I asked he did t know
Then was moved to sixth floor which had a nice window but air con machine didn’t work and was noisy when I got it tonwork. Tube has to be put outside window. Bathroom you couldn’t move sink was on your lap when on the toilet ! And shower crammed in. Both rooms didn’t have easy access both sides or lamps and plugs both sides !
Employees generally not smiling and not greeting properly. Apart from the team leader in the breakfast room she was fab ! Smiling and greeting. And the female on reception desk was nice and smiling too

I stayed here whilst in London on business but took the opportunity to go out to the theatre too. The hotel is clean, comfy and the breakfast is pretty good too. The staff were friendly and helpful and they didn’t scrimp on biscuits, teabags or toiletry products in the room. It’s close to Hyde Park and so all in all it’s in a really good spot. I will come back again in the future.

We got upgraded to a bigger room on arrival which was fab. Bathroom a little on the small size for a larger framed person, but very modern and clean.

Breakfast good choices 😋.

Would i go again? definitely ✅️

Our stay in this hotel was excellent. Well located, 5 minutes walk from several Undergrow stations and bus stops with communication for any part of the city of London. The hotel and the rooms are very clean and very quiet. The Fronk Desk service is very friendly and willing to solve any need of guests. The breakfast service included in the lodging is excellent with a great variety, the girls who provide the service are always very willing to help with everythings and to please all guests. I highly recommend this hotel.
