Mixed experience unfortunately. When I got to the room there was a used contact lens left on the bedside table which wasn’t great. I also found a spider inside the kettle and the TV remote was really dusty. On top of that there was no WiFi signal in the bedroom.

That said, the gentleman at reception who checked me in was amazing – really friendly, welcoming and helpful.

Rooms are clean and new. Service is poor. Heating didn't work in Feb in London, and they ignored my requests to fix it until the 4th time I mentioned it in 2 days. They sent a space heater.

Don't take room 10 if you can go up and down stairs or have heavy bags. No help with that is available.

Check in was straight forward, location was good - close to the tube station, and Hyde park. It was a little tricky to find a nice looking restaurant within 10 mins walking distance, but that's personal taste. The hotel is located on a lovely tradition street which was nice, and the coffee machine in the lobby was a nice touch.
Bed was comfortable, good sized bathroom and it was all clean too.

The common area downstairs was ok, but some updating/modernization would be great, especially to the hall ways, a little bar or somewhere for cold drinks and snacks would be nice too. This would make it 4 star.

Overall a nice stay.

The staff were lovely they couldn’t do enough for you, room was ok, mattress on the big bed wasn’t great, pillows are very flat, 2 plug sockets were burnt out so couldn’t be used. Carpet was very dusty. Cups could be bigger for a tea or coffee & replenished daily. Apart from a few minor details that could be fixed we were happy with the location

Other than a small appliance (coffee maker) that needed replacement because it was not working properly, the room itself, location, staff and all around quality of the hotel was very good, reasonably priced for its value, and would be recommended for guests and visitors who want convenient access to Paddington Stn (and the very efficient and well-connected Elizabeth Line, and other lines/tube hubs of Paddington incl. LHR airport!) as well as lovely Kensington Gardens/Hyde Park. Overall recommended for mid-priced and good value stays in Central London.

Whole property didn't have hot water during the Christmas period. Mattresses were worn out. The property has potential but it's neglected and poorly managed. Staff needs training on professionalism and communication (only Ali and another staff member were great and genuinely trying to help, but clearly this is a bigger problem than they can handle). We weren't informed about the hot water issue upon check-in, we were only informed after we asked why there's no hot water in the shower the next day. Upon check-in on Christmas eve, receptionist told us that breakfast on Christmas day would close at 11am but we were turned away in the restaurant when we showed up at 10:15 saying that they already closed. I asked the same receptionist if he could ask the restaurant to prepare something light and he told me he will check and get back to me. He never got back to me.

Funny note: I was trying to call reception from the phone in the room by pressing the reception button but kept getting connected with another resident in the hotel who was complaining about the hot water, we laughed at how this hotel is a joke.

Due to the hot water situation, we checked-out a day early but hotel management is refusing to issue a refund for the last night of the booking.

This stay was for one night only with my wife and our two children (ages 9 and 2). The main bed was acceptable; however, both my wife and I woke up feeling very itchy.

The second bed provided for the children was in very poor condition. It was extremely wobbly and felt as though it might collapse, which was concerning for our children’s safety.

Additionally, the fridge was not working. We also noticed that the carpet around the base of the fridge was lifted, and there were small jumping insects present, which was very unpleasant and unhygienic.

Clean room, but several basic issues made the stay disappointing

Although the hotel has a pleasant exterior and the receptionist was welcoming, several avoidable issues left us disappointed with our stay.

At check-in, we did not receive any basic information about check-out procedures, breakfast options (even though we had not booked breakfast), or how to access the Wi-Fi. The receptionist was friendly and helpful whenever we asked questions, but it felt more like a training issue — she seemed unsure about what information to provide proactively. While her attitude was excellent, the overall experience lacked the level of professionalism we expected.

When we arrived in the room, there was again no information provided. One of the toilet flush mechanisms did not work properly and continued running unless it was hit hard, which is something that should be addressed during routine maintenance. The room was also quite cold on arrival (only 19°C), and although we eventually worked out the thermostat, it did not create a warm first impression.
The biggest frustration was the Wi-Fi. I could connect in the reception area but not in our room, despite the booking confirming that free Wi-Fi was included. We had to return to reception for the correct login details — again highlighting the lack of basic communication — but even with the corrected information, the Wi-Fi still did not work in the room.

Taps rusted, no functioning bath plug, soap holder hanging off wall( this was fixed), shower screen swung off and fell into my hands- solution was to remove it- this just meant water everywhere in bathroom. Nothing \"signature\" in this tired, sub-par hotel

The hotel cost was just under £200 per night. While I know London is expensive there is a minimum standard for hotels, especially in this price range. I aim to write balanced reviews and always sure to raise concerns (if any, which I rarely do) directly with the hotel, before I review.
The hotel is sub-average. I was on business mid-June 2025 on two of the hottest days of the year. The aircon went from ice cold on arrival, but within a couple of hours changed to a tepid humidity that would not cool at all. For a 2 night stay I at least expected water to be available in the room - 1 small bottle on my first day was not replenished. The room was not made up or refreshed but, oddly, the bin in the room was emptied so the absence of other housekeeping seemed unusual. I asked the receptionist for water or any cool drinks to buy at the hotel and was abruptly told I would have to walk 15 minutes to the nearest shop to buy some. It was already 8pm and I'd just trekked 30 mins in the sweltering heat to get to the hotel. On day 2 brought my own water. Breakfast was offered for a fee (around £15), and started around 8am - much later than most hotels and too late for anyone on business needing to get to morning meetings. On checkout I raised above concerns. The receptionist apologised for the inconvenience and after moment's pause said I should have asked because it's not Hotel policy to refresh rooms during a stay. This is sub-standard for £200/night . Travelodge would do better!

I give the hotel a \"G\" for Ghetto! The first night, there was bedbugs on the bed, the refrigerator didn't work and the bedroom sink was plugged up! They put me in another room and also the refrigerator didn't work and the bathroom sink was plugged up! They gave me another room and the refrigerator didn't work and the sink was plugged up! Then they put me in another room and the sink was plugged up, the heated towel rack was was set all the way on high with the knob missing! Also the fan in the bathroom didn't work! This is the fourth room! They got the maintenance person and I try to explain the problem with the sink, towel rack, and bathroom fan. He cleaned the bathroom sink trap but cause a water leak and he end up putting a small bucket on the floor to catch the water. He can't fix the bathroom fan and he use a needle-nose pliers to adjust the heat on the towel rack because he couldn't find a knob for it! I shouldn't come to any hotel and tell them to fix this, this and this! The room should be maintenance free before you have any guests! There is no communication between the room cleaners, staff and maintenance personal! They don't know how to operate a hotel! ALL OF YOU ARE IN THE WRONG PROFESSION! YOU ALL MISSED YOUR CALLING!

This was one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at.
The location is nice and the wifi works. That's the positives.
Check in was a distaster. The carpet in the hallway to our room reeked of cat urine.
The room was dirty, stained walls etc. The door didn't lock properly. The shower barely had pressure. The room was hot and stuffy - thankfully we could open the window.
The lobby etc are decorated and nice - but the rest is old, shabby, tired and dirty.
Avoid this place.

They steal your money

The hotel is in a quiet and a good location with close distance to the tube station and the park. However, that is the only good thing about the place. At the checkin they took £50 deposit for no reason and they still haven’t deposited it back. I truly hope they are not pirating off people like that. The room I booked was superior double, but the room could be at best a small double with no space. The walls are terribly stained with grease and god knows what else. The soap dispensers are broken and the sink clogged. I stayed there for four nights and the room wasn’t cleaned during the whole time. Honestly you can find better deals with better quality for similar budget in London.

Check in was quick and easy. Our room was ready early. The room was not clean, the bathroom had clearly not been cleaned thoroughly with stains in the sinks and on countertops, something that is easily cleaned. The room had make up stains on the walls, and bedside cabinets. Lots of marks on furniture, walls and curtains. This could all be dealt with if cleaning services cleaned the room thoroughly which it clearly hadn’t. The drains in the bathroom had an awful smell which resulted in the room smelling. Luckily we were there for 1 night as we went to Hyde park BST so were in the room to just sleep. This hotel is no where near a 4 star. We could not leave quick enough in the morning & were happy to be out! A positive was the bedding was clean and the bed was comfortable. The rooms were not quiet, we could hear everyone along the corridor and the people next door. I would not recommend this hotel there are plenty others around Hyde Park to choose from.

Our stay was for my birthday. Perfect location to local attractions. Tube station walking distance. Hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. Bed very hard. View from the window was not great, a tiny window box and a brick wall. No balcony. Room was modern and clean however. Spacious modern bathroom. Breakfast we paid for one morning. £12.99 each. Not worth that money. Complementary tea/coffee or lemonade on arrival whilst checking in.

This was truly a pleasant surprise. I booked online not knowing a lot about the area at all. It was on such a quaint and quiet street. It is a boutique little experience, so if you're looking for the immense grand hotel entrance, this is not it. The room was huge and perfect for 2 adults traveling with kids. The staff was very, very friendly. Fresh apples, coffee, tea and hot chocolates available constantly. Very easy walkability, just a block and a half from Kensington Gardens, Hyde Park, the Tube, Picadilly station, restaurants and more! Would highly recommend.

Definitely recommend this hotel.

This is a lovely boutique hotel. The staff are great and the room we got had sufficient space (which is hard to find at a reasonable rate in London). The breakfast option in the hotel is also well prepared and quality ingredients. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again. We have tried many hotels in this area of Hyde Park, and this one will be high on our list for future stays. The only suggestions I have for the hotel to improve would be to add seals to the shower glass panel so that water doesn't spray out so much onto the bathroom floor. And the bed frames are a full wood slab under the mattress, which limits the give in the mattress, making it a bit too firm for side sleepers. We recommend they change this to either wood slats or a box spring frame under the matress.

We arrived into London early morning after travelling for 24 hours with a 6 and 7 year old!!
We made our way to the hotel from the airport and the staff were incredible, taking our luggage, settling us in the lobby lounge with coffee and hot chocolate. 10 minutes later they let us know that we could check in to our room (well before normal checkin time). This really made the start of our trip.
We had a quad room and it was perfect for us. Enough room, comfy beds, clean and a big bathroom.
Awesome location right next to Hyde park and on the tour bus route.
Would definitely stay there again.

This is a quiet residential area but the main road is always buzzing. Safe, and between a few tube stations, park is nearby. Great for walks and exercise. Property is refurbished. Not the newest but for the price, the bathroom is new and clean, room is essential.
Not many cafes outside the hotel; the nearest eateries are about 5 minutes walk away.
Paddington station is also walkable. Easy access to Elizabeth line to LHR.

Loved our stay at Signature Townhouse! Shruti at the front desk was most helpful! Allowed us to check in a little early and also being able to store our bags after check out was so nice! Breakfast in the morning was really good. Staff was always so friendly. Great location near Underground as well as several great restaurants. Thank you!

Room in basement - little light.
£50 held on card for security - 12days for a return (and on international card so extra fee)
Paper thin walls - found out far too much about the girls' life drama next door.
Room size very small.
Sink blocked.
Shower soap empty.

Clean, good sized rooms and very friendly staff.

Only downside was that our room was next to the lift so could hear the lift going up and down but it wasnt that loud

Disappointing stay

Got into room late at night to have the windows open and a smell of smoke in the room thinking people smoking outside have made it smell but even two days later the room still smelt.

Also being first floor on the front of the hotel it was super noisy with people out the front of the hotel

Room also had old clothes labels stuck quite clearly on the room so unsure how thorough the clean had been

Nice Place, but could be better

For a deluxe room the room was quite cramped with a step in the middle. The bed was not at all comfortable. The bathroom has obviously been renovated fairly recently, but the shower door was broken. One peculiarity was that there was nowhere to hang my suit. There was a hanger rail, but because the refreshments table was set up directly underneath it, there was only enough space to hang very short garments.
