The room was ok. Dated. Staff are not very helpful. I arrived at 20:00 and was hungry. I was told nothing was available in-house, asked where I could go, and was told they didn't know.

Forgot my phone charger. While I don't expect them to have a spare, the \"flat, tough luck\" attitude was disappointing. When I asked where I could buy one, I was told they didn't know. Just not very customer freindly

The location is great. Short walk to Lancaster Gate Tube, The Swan pub and other great restaurants close by. Also enjoyed walking through Hyde Park.
The staff were not very friendly or enthusiastic.
You are encouraged to not request clean towels daily, but the bathrooms have no towel bars for towels to dry!

This hotel had an old time feel with rooms that felt like you were in an Ikea display. It was very convenient to Hyde Park and many restaurants. You can walk to lots of places from here or use the Kensington Gate or Paddington tube. The front desk was very helpful. This will be a repeat.

The property is in a great location, comfy bed and very friendly staff. However, we paid for a queen room and ended up in a double cosy room. Cosy was definitely the word, bed up against the wall on one side and at the end. Didn’t see there was any point in complaining after we checked in as the hotel was fully booked. Raised it the next day and they agreed nothing could have been done. Also room late for checking in, but we were offered a free drink in the bar and free breakfast.

Small but cozy room. Comfortable bed and bedding. Clean and quiet. Good location. Near Paddington Station. Many restaurants close by. Large and well decorated lobby area with lots of seating. Good water pressure in the shower.

I was only here for one night between cities, so did not try most of the hotel amenities.

The location is very convenient to the Tube, Paddington and Hyde Park. There are a number of restaurants close by. Be advised that if they have a plumbing issue, you should demand a new room right away as they were unable to correct an issue we had, with repeated inquiries. A shower with no hot water is unacceptable.

Although there was construction right outside the entrance almost that didn't really bother me. The room was not the best but for 3 days stay was acceptable the bathroom was problematic you had to wait for the water to get hot or cold more than 15 mins and the hole in the shower wasn't taking the water down they assured me they ll fix it never happened also the hairdryer on the room was overheating after 2 secs and going off they said they ll change it never did. Also the bed had a thing hanging from it which was an accident ready to happen especially for a kid in the room like me that I went with my 9 year old daughter. The cleaners were not replacing the items for coffee etc in the room I had to ask for it also I had to ask for a second hair towel since we were two people in the room.....The biggest issue though was the rudeness of some employees they were helping ofc and then you could hear them telling you off to their colleagues also the way they looked at you because you asked for help for things that should be working. That was the worst made me feel a bit unwelcomed. Nobody was saying goodmorning or goodnight when you were passing from reception which I found a bit rude and ignorant. The room itself although with problems was livable the feeling though from the staff not everybody wasn't good. Bfast was ok the staff there polite and helpful. The best was the location especially for it's price. I don't know if I would chose again but ok....

Very friendly staff and conveniently located to Hop-on buss stop, and restorant and Hyde park. Hotel under renovation and a shower cold water and TV not working. Had to be evacuated do to fire alarm. Will stay again as staff was very helpful and friendly hope fully next time construction is over and some of the shortcomings are resolved

This is a great place to stay with family. It was a home away from home. The staff went above and beyond when they held our luggage on our last day as our plane didn’t leave till a later time. Everything worked and it was very clean. Walkable distance to park for kids and underground station for travel. Breakfast was great, lots to choose from. Highly recommend.

Great potential let down by poor decoration

Upon arrival, we were impressed with the location ease of check-in and local facilities. However, once we got to the room, it was small dingy and the decoration left a lot to be desired. Paint was slapped onto the walls overlapping architrave, ceiling etc and seemed unfinished and the shower hose was so stiff that the shower would only sit in the holder facing the wall. The bed was very comfortable, it was decent enough for the location alone, we would stay again.

Best Western Mornington has a fantastic location—just steps from the tube station and a short walk to Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park, which makes it ideal for exploring London. The room was decent; not as spacious as U.S. hotels, but perfectly fine by city standards. The walls are a bit thin, so you might hear your neighbors, but overall it was a comfortable stay. I’d definitely stay here again for the convenience alone. The only suggestion I have is I wish they would improve their internet speeds.

Do not stay here!

They pretended to give me an upgrade however it was down in the basement over looked. Noise from 6am from the cafe directly above. I got 4 hours sleep. Staff standing outside my window chatting. Deliveries going past my window. Kitchen door outside my room. More noise.
I complained and they did nothing.
They should’ve be able to sell these rooms and I should’ve been given my money back.
Another ‘hotels.com’ special room set aside for us.

We were given one of the two rooms located in the basement level. The hotel overall is well-kept and clean. The room was very small, thought this was expected. The realization is that the square footage is a bit too small for two people to move around even when arriving late and just staying for a single night. Things that were not expected: The bed was way softer than average, borderline unusable for sitting as it sank too much. It was ok when laying on it, but for a small room with no chairs, not being able to sit comfortably on the bed is a problem. The hotel is very well located but this benefit comes with the cost of hearing the noise of the train going every few minutes. The shower had a little handle piece missing to make a shower head change and the sink accumulated water and was not easily draining. The floor tower was soaking wet when we wanted to use the shower for the first time, we had to use a hand towel for the floor instead. The hotel staff were friendly, and apologetic as we expressed all the issues at checkout. Because we were only there for one night we didn't have time to provide feedback during the stay and chose to do it at checkout. However, these are a lot of issues for a single-night stay. We are glad we were not there for longer.

Room small, even for London terms. Service was variable depending on who you got. Check in lady was pleasant as was another lady and man who we met during our stay. Young lady on check out couldn’t have been more disinterested or blunt if she tried.

I booked an executive room and the room we got was far from that.

Breakfast was alright - nothing special.

Daughters teddy was left behind by mistake in error, never turned up.

The curtains need to be rehung and the water pressure in the shower was very weak! There was also no bedside lamp which was a bit annoying. I would stay at the Morningside again. The staff were incredible. They made *every* effort to make our stay comfortable. Breakfast exceeded expectations. My only grumble is with the current construction in the adjacent property. International travelers who are looking to sleep in after 8am will want to book an alternative hotel for at least the next 12 months.

The rooms were clean. Myself and 4 of my friends stayed here. The rooms were pretty small but I think that’s just a European thing. I had a double bed room type and it was perfect for myself. It maybe could have fit one other person comfortably, but that’s about it.

Majed or Maged (not 100% sure how to spell it) was great! Very nice & professional young man. I called to the front desk on two different occasions and he brung the items to the room within 10 minutes!

I felt safe in the area. The hotel is quiet, clean and cute. 10 out of 10, would recommend.

I had not planned on posting pictures or complaining about the state of my room when I first entered it, as I genuinely only planned on showering and sleeping there, but if this review helps even one person avoid a bad experience, it'll be worth it. The floors hadn't been vacuumed in some time, with popcorn, buttons, string, toenails/ fingernails, dust, and various types of liter lining the carpet of the room, the paint on the wall looked atrocious and was peeling off the ceiling in the bathroom, leaving bits of paint on the counter, the cups in the bathroom were dirty, and there was hair and mold in the shower. You can hear people entering and exiting their rooms at all hours of the day/ night, hear their conversations, and hear them walking across the floor. They claim the internet is secure, but it is actually open to everyone in the area, allowing anyone with unsavory intentions to watch what you're doing online. Their staff, which seem friendly at first meeting, make disparaging comments about your nationality and disability, and when you bring it to their attention, they threaten to sue you. Avoid at all costs.

This was a perfect location! Hotel staff is wonderful, close to great metro stations, easy to make it from the aiport via paddington station. We could roll our suitcases to the hotel, streets allow it.
The hotel breakfast is the best! Hot breakfast and they prepare wathever you want from the menu.
The room was small but accomodated a small extra bed for our daughter. It had all you needed!
Internet wssnt the greatest though, disconnected constantly but that wanst a problem for us.
Overall, loved our stay here so much!

The Location, a short walk from Kensington Gardens, and the staff were amazing. There’s a Tube Station and city bus stop directly across from the gate to the gardens. I was able to catch a bus to Victoria Station, to see Wicked, at the Apollo Victoria Theatre. I will definitely return to this hotel.

Nice location away from the hustle and bustle yet within walking distance from Kensington and Hyde Parks and several restaurants - I have to mention The Swan - I liked it so much I was there three days in a row!

The staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast was the best I had in a long time, and I enjoyed a drink at the bar in the library several time.

The hotel is in a nice area, easy to get around, and walkable to restaurants and bars. The reception and bar area are nice. The rooms need some attention. The chair in my room had visible stains all over, the pillow smelled like mildew, and the room was absolutely freezing. I didn't have a thermometer, but I am guessing high 50F/low 60F degrees. I called to ask them to fix it twice. The first time the woman told me she would fix the temp, but nothing happened. The second time the man told me there was no way to change the temp because it's central heating and brought me a space heater that was covered in dust with a broken wheel so it was not stable--pretty big fire risk.
