Very close to Paddington. Very safe neighborhood. Breakfast worked well for an easy meal to start the day. They also have luggage storage and friendly staff Easy to navigate from Heathrow Airport. The hotel could use some updating but it is in central London. I would stay again .

Staff friendly and breakfast v pleasant. En-suite in 404 could do with some TLC. Similarly, fellow guests on 4th floor were so inconsiderate from 22:30 until 1am, I received no sleep during my stay. Hence, a little TLC on doors and notices reminding guests of typical curfews would be beneficial.

Sadly, based on how loud corridors were with guests coming and going, I’ll unlikely return due to fear of not sleeping again.

Hmmm. Where to start. The staff was very friendly and should not be blamed for the condition of the hotel. However, we booked a room with a double bed and a single. It had three small twin beds. And really they had no business putting three beds in that room. We had no place to put our bags. We had to step over them the whole time there. There was a lift but it only went to the third floor. The room was on the fourth floor. The ceiling was so low and slanted that our son, who is 5'10\" hit his head at least ten times. There was a small open wardrobe but no drawers of any kind. There was also a general odd smell in the entire place as well. For the amount of money we spent, I would expect just a bit more.

Ok for 1 night, nothing more!

On arrival I was asked by the foreign receptionist for my passport. I told him I have come from Ipswich so why would I have it on me? He kept asking for it and I kept saying I haven't got it. After a long time he (thankfully) just carried on with checking me in all of ONE night!
Breakfast was basic but fine and room was small but ok for one night.

The hotel was well kept, the 5 person room was perfect for our family with three kids, the air conditioning was wonderful, and the breakfast was tasty. The location near Hyde Park is wonderful for walking and exploring. I would definitely stay here again.

VERY small room for 3 people.staff was wonderful. We had an issue with the shower temperature and they fixed it while we were out. It was also very hot in the room, even with window open and ac on. I think there may have been an issue with it but we never addressed it with the staff. Their continental breakfast options could have been better. Waitstaff was always ready to help or get what you needed. They front desk staff was super helpful with sightseeing info, bookings, and transportation, even stored oir luggage on the last day so we could do a little shopping before leaving for the train.

The room was stifling hot the entire stay because our room AC couldn’t keep up. The lift was broken for the last 5 days of our stay resulting in us having to carry suitcases up 4 flights of stairs. The front desk staff were pleasant but couldn’t assist with simple tasks like replacing dead batteries in the tv remote. Lastly the shower temperature control could not be adjusted for colder water resulting in hot showers for all during a small heat wave. We brought it up to the staff twice but they were unable to adjust the water temperature to anything below very warm. While we didn’t observe any mice, there were mousetraps under the beds.
Our room was advertised as a family room however the room was way too small for 5 people especially with a bathroom that is the size of an airplane bathroom.
The hotels location is convenient to Paddington Station and Hyde Park but I would not reccomend it at all. The value for money is low and the staff responsiveness to guest issues is quite poor as well.

We stayed for a couple of night's and the hotel was excellent. We had a basement twin room, air conditioning. The free breakfast is also really good. The area is really nice close to Paddington Station. Plus Hyde Park is in walking distance.

First of all, staff were not nice or have skills to deal with customers, they were rude and taught. Second, maintenance of the room was bad. Raining water was leaking from the roof and stinky smell especially in the night, and mices were running in the room. Unfortunately, there was no solution to make us safe and comfortable in the room. The manger moved us to other wores hotel which was faraway from the centeral area. Also, that room didn't have air-conditioning or a good fresh air.
This hotel was a worse experience we had in our trip. Don't recommend it at all. Just wasting money and time at bad place and staff.

There were Mice in my room.
during my stay: 1) the phone wasn’t working despite my report, 2) the elevator was out of order, causing inconvenience for my dad with heart issues, 3) the shower was not functioning, 4) only one of the broken heaters was fixed, leaving the room cold, and 5) there were mice in the room. I had to move due to this issue, and my belongings were affected.

Picked this property because they had an elevator in the description and this was critical for me and travel partner.
They had a reasonable cost so I booked two rooms for they are limited for two bed options.
Very disappointed elevator out of service and no estimate when it would be repaired. Excuse was it was near the holidays (17th Dec) and could not find a repair person. Were there 3 days and did not see anyone attempting to repair. They accommodated us with rooms on the second floor. They also had someone help carry out bags up and down. Did not like having to climb stairs up and down to restaurant and entry area.

Everything in this hotel is small - but in a great way. The rooms are small but comfortable. The elevator is tiny but fun - the kids loved it! Breakfast area is very small, but the staff is SO GOOD at keeping food flowing and keeping tables cleaned/cleared so everyone can sit down. The food was top rate - REAL EGGS which is a rarity in any hotel. We'd absolutely stay again!

The quality of decor furniture fittings and facilities throughout the hotel is excellent.The bathroom and shower were excellent and the beds were very comfy though narrow .
Double twin room was very small and my partner had to clamber over my bed to get in and out.
Loo paper was very poor quality .
wardrobe was filled with a fridge and safe so virtually no hanging space and one small drawer.
only one chair in room and no shelf by sink for toiletries.
Breakfast menu mainly very good continental choice or ,for hot breakfast ,choice of eggs frankfurters and baked beans . No English breakfast.

The location is great. But the staff not so. They gave us a room without AC! And when I complained the guy at reception goes we don’t advertise ac so that what we have! The night came and I was sowing out of heat! So I called special to see if I can maybe cancel my reservation and go elsewhere. That when all of a sudden they do have other rooms with AC! They didn’t give me the option to move into a room with AC until 2 days later other wise they wanted me to pay more! But the night guy when he came into the room and saw how terrible it was he tried to help out by bringing those exterior AC’s when needed to have the hot air come out of the window( the windows don’t open! But like 2 in!) so he tried to squeeze it out of there for like an hr. Then the power cord wasn’t long enough and they didn’t have an extension cord. So I have to move my bed to the middle of the room to allow that ac to connect! So I would say my experience was terrible!! They guy midday is the worst. He doesn’t try to help in anyways. Says most hotels in London doesn’t have ac. I stayed in 3 other ones and they all had ac’s!! I saw 3 other families having issues with them! Will never stay there again

It was a Great Stay!

What made my stay great were the staff members of this hotel. On the day of check in, I was advised that the lift is broken and there will be a team member who will take the suitcase up for me.

The breakfast was a bonus and enjoyed it.

What made such a big difference is the Receptionist Blessita who was very helpful and understanding. 10 minutes prior to check out, my massive suitcase was damaged and I had to buy an emergency suitcase immediately. She accommodated me by extending my check out so I can buy a suitcase.

Once I finally checked out she was very kind to offer tea as she can see how stressed I was.

Even the housekeeper was very understanding and helpful.

Overall, everyone in Brunel Hotel were amazing even the night Receptionist and the guy who brought my suitcase up to the staff in the Breakfast room.

My room was cosy and I enjoyed my stay!

We attended for a family stay and it was great that the hotel had a room to accommodate a family of 5. When we arrived, the staff were friendly, and we were able to check in earlier than planned which was amazing! The hotel itself is a 2-minute walk from Paddington station so excellent for getting out and about in London.
We were disappointed with the cleanliness of the room, in particular the shower. The Shower door kept coming off the rails which was concerning as we had young children with us. It was however fixed promptly when we highlighted it.

The breakfast was extremely disappointing. There were not enough tables for all guests and on one occasion my husband had to take food and sit in the hotel reception to eat whilst 3 of us took food upstairs. We were unable to book a breakfast time slot, so it was luck as to whether you got a seat. A disappointing selection of breakfast food with only eggs and beans as the hot option, alongside pastries and toast.
When we were 4 days into our stay, we were advised the hotel had overbooked and requested we move to x2 separate rooms. Unfortunately, this was not suitable, and we had booked this hotel specifically as it accommodated 5 of us in the one room. The hotel blocked our cards, and we were unable to get into our room until we spoke to them which I though was rude and totally unacceptable.

We had a great time in London but would not return to this hotel.

The photos are very deceiving. Maybe we got a more run down room, but our bathroom looked older and was dirty. Location was great, but that is all I could really say about it. We should have known considering the price. This is what we get for booking lodging last minute.

Good little hotel

Great location at the end of the Elizabeth line, so made getting into the centre of London easy. Nothing major to complain about. Rooms even with fan on was hot and had to leave window open 24/7. Pleasant and welcoming staff, bag drop off and pick up were excellent. For a 3* hotel though I would've expected an English cooked breakfast to be offered.

I was disappointed. I had made the reservation months ago for my family, then tried to cancel minutes later as a Hilton property was the same price. I was denied by property management. But during our stay we had cockroaches in our room. I killed 6 and who knows how many others passed thru. Management was not available except seemingly extreme early hours. No consideration for our discomfort.

Hotel was dated, run down booked and paid for a large family room and ended up with a single. On arrival nobody was prepared to do anything about it. Appreciated that it was fully booked but getting the refund was laborious and painful. On check in simple questions were also difficult too. Room was not great, shower head broken, shower not clean enough. For £135 give it a miss!

Good location. However room was very unclean and uncomfortable. Bathroom was dirty with obvious signs of previous usage!!! Bedsheet and duvet were also not clean. Room was very small with no ventilation and window did not open much, stuffy.
However staff was wonderful. The breakfast was really good and throughly enjoyed it. And customer service was spot on.

Location is great. It’s a little noisy til about 2am and unfortunately our room was right next to the lift. It sounds like someone was banging pots in the wall anytime the lift was used haha but I still managed to sleep. Beds were okay. The space is a bit dilapidated. The shower was just in an awkward corner making it hard to avoid mess. We had a lovely window in our room which I really enjoyed. It’s clean. The staff are the best thing we’ve experienced on our stay. They’re all very friendly! We had a minor issue with our booking and they were so helpful when we arrived in person for our stay. I would definitely stay here again on another visit to London.

The location and price were incredible, it’s a very nice place to stay at as the staff are helpful and nice, it’s easy to walk places or take the railway, and the surrounding area is beautiful. Although, the WiFi was unstable so if someone is going to go and work in their room it will be inconsistent. Coffee shops and cafes are close so it’s easy to find alternatives for connection! Other than that, it was great and I will definitely be staying here again :)

Enjoyed my stay at the Brunel! My room was big and (I stayed alone) and had a nice window and working air conditioning. My only issue was that the shower exclusively produced boiling hot water, and I was unable to change the temperature. Otherwise, the room was clean and the beds were comfy! Location was good, too with about a 5 minute walk to paddington. I’d stay again once the shower was fixed

I think the lady who normally works the desk in the morning does a great job helping guests check-in. For the price even though the hotel is dated having the location can't be beat. I have stayed in more costly hotels in the same area. This hotel cost less and is kept fuctioning and clean. You even get a little morning snack pack for free.

The check in was easy and friendly but when we saw our family room for 5, it was tiny,no room to put coats or clothes. Unfortunately the double bed was right next to the lift so all throughout the night it sounded like a train going past, we did ask to move but apparently there were no other rooms. They advertise breakfast so in the morning we followed the signs to the dining room but there wasn't one, only building work in the basement! Reception said they would bring a continental breakfast to the room which then consisted of a pastry, apple, yoghurt and carton of orange juice. The old, dilapidated windows hardly shut and the paintwork was really dirty. On a plus, the shower worked as did the heating but im sorry, i ceryainly wouldn't be recommending this hotel.

Family Room

Hotel is clean, conveniently located (minutes walk to Paddington and Lancaster Gate) and friendly staff. Not inexpensive for the size of the room (which was really small), bit that is central London for you! If you're an active family and spend all your time out & about, then this hotel is just fine.

The staff was very helpful. The rooms were agonizing hot. The lock on our door took 2 DAYS to repair. The full English breakfast consisted of a container of yougurt, a croissant (which we did not eat) a small apple and a small bottle orange juice. We will never go back to that hotel. The daily rate was extremly high. Also, the safe malfunctioned, therefore I needed to place my meds in the hotel safe which was highly inconvenient.

Small but adequate room

Small but adequate room, with all that we needed. Extra teabags and milk was available with no fuss. Only down side was the room was boiling hot with no way to regulate it. We had to turn the radiator off with the isolation knob, so either heat or no heat.

Breakfast was pride but the dining room was closed. We were given the sand cold Breakfast for my entire stay of 9 days! There was no microwave with which to warm food, i ended up throwing away food or taking it to the office to heat up.

My sheets weren't changed the entire time but my bed was made everyday!!!

Also, there was draft in my room which meant it was chilly by mornings. Overall, the hotel wasn't great but the staff were.
