Room was okay and in a nice quiet area. The staff on site were lovely. The property is a bit run down but clean and functional. Transport links were great

There were issues around the security deposit which I have never had with any other bookings. This was eventually resolved but caused a great deal of stress.

No reception desk, so any questions are answered by remote assistant. The dryer did not work during our stay (I didn’t find this out until after running a load of wash), so I had to use the Laundromat down the street to dry my clothes.

There was also construction in the next apartment during our stay, which was very loud the management did not make us aware of this. It started before 9am and stopped usually around 2 so any chance of sleeping in wasn’t really an option.

Decently priced, and a fine room- but would look elsewhere with plenty of other options in this area

I do NOT recommend a stay here due to the complex procedure for receiving the access (key)code which required several phone calls at night while we stood helplessly at the entrance trying to get in. Very aggravating and time consuming. In addition the so-called \"flat\" turned out to be a tiny cramped room located in the basement and was hot--there was no cross ventilation at all from the one barred window. The bed linens were also stained. Shower was too tiny/narrow for any adult! Very expensive for what it was. Only plus was that it was walking distance from Paddington. There are plenty of other small hotels on nearby streets--suggest you check those out instead if you want to stay in this neighborhood.

Overall a good stay in a clean little apartment in a very convenient location. Good accommodation for families, although our neighbours were a bit loud. Accommodation had everything we needed for our stay, but some of the facilities weren't brilliant (toaster didn't work properly and one of the windows didn't close all the way).

Definitely echo the other negative reviews on this place. I'm at a loss as to why it has so many good reviews. Firstly, it wasn't so easy to find. There is no \"Hyde Park Apartments\" sign, just a street number. Secondly, I was asked the property name for which I'd booked. On the wall in reception there are two signs, one for Hyde Park Apartments and another for Paddington Apartments. I find this a little suspicious as there was no obvious separation between two accommodations, they appeared to be the same, but operating under two names (perhaps rebranding once their reviews slide?). The room was simply OK, but very much on the small side. There were no bedside tables, so I had to pop my water and phone on the floor. The TV had awful signal, but randomly there was an aerial socket on the opposite wall. The TV remote was really very grubby, like it had never been cleaned. There were two spotlights above the mirror in the bathroom that I had no idea how to turn off, so light filtered out into the room under the door crack at night (I had to wedge a towel there to block it out). The shower head wouldn’t stay up and kept sliding down. I mean, I’m really running out of characters here! The aparthotel may respond to this with a generic company response/comeback saying they wish I’d let them know or they’ll strive to improve. I travel all the time for work and I know by now what’s good and what’s not. For your money, you're much better off finding somewhere else. Simple.

Self-catering stay in great location

Great location close to Paddington Station. Our apartment (no 9) was on the second floor at the rear of the building. No lift, but we were prepared for that. The small kitchen was suited to our needs. The room had a new sleeper couch that is fine for a child.
The only negative is the noise that is very loud from the room above when the occupants merely walk around or move their dining chairs and from those walking on the staircase.

Great location for London sightseeing.

This property was in the perfect location for us. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially as there are no lifts, and they helped with our cases. No air conditioning was a problem during the London August heatwave. We just survived with 2 pedestal fans provided. Otherwise apartment was comfortable.

big room, kitchenette was good, although could have used a few more dishes. Bathroom good. But sofa bed was awkward leather and not a real mattress and couldn't be made up to a proper bed. It wasn't clear that there was no elevator and it was hard to carry our suitcases up two very long flights of stairs. The desk staff said someone would assist, but no one ever did.

Close quarters, but adequate and convenient to public transport and Paddington station

Because there is an on-site front desk, this place felt more like an extended stay hotel, although the size would limit that type of functionality. Accessed via a narrow stairway, the below ground floor unit we were in barely had room for two people to pass each other in the entry hall/kitchen and bedroom. The kitchen was not adequately stocked for real cooking, but adequate for toast and tea/coffee. Not a place to spend many hours in except for sleeping. The bed was a memory foam comfortable mattress. The proximity of Hyde Park and local metro lines as well as Paddington Station is very nice. The unit was clean. The bedroom windows opens to a sunken patio where the neighbor noise could get annoying.

Too much noise

I was very disappointed that our room was in the basement. There was a lot of noise! It sounded like there was a washing machine on all the time and it was the maid's courters or something. It was also cold since there were two doors that led to the outside. I know we can't control other tenants but the guy above us was walking back and forth all the time! Late at night and early in the morning... The wifi was terrible, being in the basement. I would not stay again. There are so many other places.

The Appartments are ideally situated close to underground stations and Hyde Park/Kensington Gardens. Downsides were. Sofa bed was old, worn and covered in stains. Shower room was mouldy and the seals around the shower tray needed re-doing. It also could of done with extra comfortable seating in the lounge as we needed to bring the uncomfortable kitchen chairs in to watch TV. Overall it's ok for a base but for the £240 price tag for one night it was about of a let down.

Apartment was in a brill location 3 tube stations very close, 5 min walk away. We had no problems with checking in or the staff or anything. Apartment was lovely, was very easy to warm the room up and had a fan incase was too hot. The only thing I would say is the apartments could be cleaner for example they do basic cleaning but lots of dusts in corner of room and bathroom etc, could just be done a bit better. Other than that brilliant stay.

The apartment was a good size for the cost in London, and in a good location (only about 10 minutes walk from 2 tube stations). It was fairly well equipped. Some strange omissions though - in a family-sized flat without a dishwasher, there are no tea towels, drying racks or dish mops supplied. (We resorted to a bath towel). And you can't turn off the light from the beds (with no bedside tables or lamps either), which is odd.
Essentially it was comfortable though, the wifi was good, and it served our family of 4 well for the week.

Practical, safe location and friendly staff

The Paddington location was fairly practical. The station and the tube are an easy walk to the apartment, which was nice and clean. The staff were accommodating and very friendly. The only negatives were the size of the bathroom and shower, and the amount of sound proofing; otherwise, I very much recommend the property.

Disgusting don't stay there!!!!!

We checked in after a long 24 hour flight as we got to our room it was filthy and there was a very bad smell unbearable. We checked out after 2 hours and asked for a full refund which they declined! It's a horrible place don't bother you will regret it. Staff are horrible.

As we arrived, the manager was screaming and cursing at an employee, showing a complete lack of respect for the worker and no professionalism around guests. Thankfully we didn't spend much time in the hotel itself, because the hot water ran out in the shower, there was a bloodstain on the curtain, and the walls were paper thin and you could hear every movement from the surrounding rooms. We'll never stay here again.

Insulted by Hyde Park Apartments

I booked the apartment for one night for two friends and myself. The room was fine overall (although the bathroom was very small). The hotel describes itself as 'unique and boutique' - it is neither. It''s a low cost basic hotel - although no issues with cleanliness etc. As a U.K. citizen I booked the hotel via this site and paid online. It was therefore very irritating to turn up and be asked for further photo ID (and even more irritating when the person asking behind the desk was clearly not from the UK). I refused on principle as I'm not aware that this is a requirement. This issue coloured my view of the hotel to be honest and I wouldn't stay there again.

The apartment was easy to find & location was great! The room was just like the photos on the site & had all facilities I required- microwave, fridge, 2 hob rings, toaster & kettle along with a Flat screen TV & even small dining table & 2 chairs. The ensuite shower room was finished to a good standard & everywhere was spotless- I could not fault it ! All the staff are friendly and welcoming & I would definitely be back again!

Well appointed apartments in good street/area. Great location close to Paddington Station and Kensington Gardens. Basic kitchen but more than adequate for us and apartments were clean and tidy. We had apartments on lower level plus first floor at the back of the complex. Very quiet and although lower level apartment was a bit dark it didn't matter. We stayed three nights and the apartments were serviced once over this time which was fine. Check in easy and offered free taxi to get to our apartment location but we walked as it was only several blocks away. Cafes, restaurants and shops nearby. Would recommend.

The hotel itself is nice, the apartment was a good size and very clean.

Unfortunately as there is no reception on site, it becomes a bit of a problem when your key-card stops working. I had to wait outside for 45 mins for somebody to come and try and fix the door reader, when they couldn't, had to return to their other hotel to pick up another key.

Also, the double bed was two single beds pushed together, so kept falling down in-between the two, not very comfy.

The staff are polite and the neighbourhood is good. I probably won't return here, but that said it is not the worst hotel ever.

More like a BATCHELOR PAD than accommodation not for pensioners,

The top floor of the apartment could only be reached by two storeys of a very, very narrow, very steep stairwell without any bannisters and is totally unsuitable for anyone over 70, especially with a heavy suitcase.
T.V. was totally unreliable on BBC channels with messages flashing up saying there was a fault with the signal wiring &gt Thank goodness we spent most of the time out of the accommod ation. NEVER AGAIN.

It's fine as long as you don't expect the Ritz.

Overall about average. The room was originally done to a good standard, but hasn't been maintained well. I've stayed in a couple of rooms here, and there always tends to be something a bit wrong that's a minor inconvenience, and it's pot luck what it is. Last time was the aerial cable, this time was a couple of power sockets which snapped and crackled like they weren't really safe. I avoided them.

The shower is OK, but could do with being descaled. Everything is at least clean, and the room is a good size, so it does the job. Won't win awards, but I've stayed in much worse for the same money.

I was spending a short weekend with my husband in London. We looked at other hotels in the same area and found that the Hyde Park apartments cost about similar price / slightly cheaper to hotels in the vicinity. Our allocated apartment was on the top floor (3 flights of narrow stairs), luckily we had very little luggage so it was not much of a problem for us. The studio was clean and tidy. Unfortunately the double bed was made up of 2 single beds and the mattresses were quite soft so we dipped into the middle of the bed when sleeping. Otherwise a good experience overall!

no lock on the front door so some drunken idiots came in on the 2nd night of my stay at 11 and started trying the doors.

I also wasn't informed that reception was at another location entirely. I spent half an hour ringing the reception
number and had to get the information for another guest.

sound proofing is sub par. I could hear every bang and scrape.

curtains on the wind were 2 ft too high, so I had to put towels and suitcases over the window to not be woken up at 5:30 by the light.

Over all we found the room small however I think that is a London thing as every room we had in the UK was small compared to what we are used to. London apartment in Paddington

Check in is about a 10 minute walk away from the apartment on another property in Bayswater. There are no staff at the actual site. If you need to talk to staff you either need to ring on a mobile or walk to their other apartments. When I rate a hotel I look for a good bed and a good shower, these apartments had neither. We had issues with the shower in the 1st apartment that took 2 visits to reception to get resolved. Cleaning of the apartment and changing towels was only every 2nd day. Disappointing.

Beautiful modern apartment finished to a very high standard. Lovely and clean with great facilities. Also close to local shops and tube stations. No lift though, so if you're staying on the top floor be aware! Excellent price and would recommend to friends.

Arrived to find the room in very dirty condition, no vacuuming, crap lying everywhere. Bedding was dirty, in the dad the maid came, she dropped off towels and emptied only the kitchen trash can. The rest not, on another dad she never even arrived.

The sofa and one bed were extremely uncomfortable. Back is still aching.

For the price I paid USD 2,000.- for 3 day (pax 5) I could have got a much bigger and better place with a little more search!

Location however is great. That's all!

the bed sheet and tower is very very dirty. We had a huge dirty mark on the bed sheet as if it hasn't beeb washed for ages. The White tower is almost yellow. We have to sleep with cloth on for 2 nights. It was awful experience!

Great little flat, very hard mattress

Stay was great, facilities were clean and nice. Not accessible, if that's a concern. The only gripe was that the beds were UNCOMFORTABLE - so hard. For one night, it was just fine but I might hesitate to stay again. That said, if you like a hard bed, this is the hotel for you, without a doubt. Nicely set up to do a little self catering.

The reception is at Inverness Terrace which is a bit far from the actual location of the rooms. The people at the reception are very helpful. Helped us with early check in and stored our bags after check out. The rooms are tall! I did not spot an ac vent but was nt even needed. The room was equipped with most of the kitchen utilities. They even have an iron and board. There are a lot of shops nearby to buy supplies for the kitchen. The bathroom is a bit cramped. But it is a personal observation. Overall, a beautiful stay!

BEWARE reception in totally different location!

Arrived to find building totally covered in scaffolding and occupied by builders who didn't speak English very well. Unbeknown to us reception was 15 minutes away, in a totally different location (not mentioned on hotels.com listing or booking details), so we spent ages trying to attract attention of the builders who eventually let us in via a side entrance. We eventually managed to get through to the receptions phone line and they told us they were 15 minutes away which wasn't much use after the taxi had left and we were left with young child / lots of luggage. When we got in the building itself was OK apart from being in the middle of fairly extensive refurbishment.

We didn’t have high expectations for the price but the location was good. Biggest issue was arriving at the Hotel in the middle of winter and being locked out. We didn’t read the small print on the booking that check in was at a different location. We realised this after taking our luggage out of the taxi and letting it go then standing in the rain. Had to find our way about a mile or so to book in, get a key then return to the Hotel. I booked a room for 3 people thinking there would be 3 separate beds like on the picture. We got a double bed and a sofa-bed. The room was tiny but conveniently located.

New bed please

Great location and apartments were great for what we wanted. Bed not comfortable at all with one pillow each and did not appreciate getting a knock on the door at 9 to ask when we were checking out.Apart from that great, would book again.

Poor cleaning

The poor cleaning of the room, decides the rating. Lipstick, blood-stains, and general dirt on walls, hair on floor, and I don't dare to think of what was under the glass tiles on the kitchen table... We notified the reception, and were promised proper cleaning the next day. Did not happen... However, nice with separate bedrooms and seating area for a family of 5.
Very much noise from street and hallway.

Hyde park apartments- wonderful!

I stayed at the Hyde park apartments for a romantic night and thought the place was perfect. bedding was clean, as was the kitchen and bathroom. Utensils were provided and everything was first class. The lady at reception appeared abrupt initially but eneded our conversation more positively.
Would definitely stay again. Amenities nearby- supermarkets and restaurants and the buildings are absolutely beautiful. PERFECT.

Hyde Park Apartments

The room 11A was extremely small, the bath room door could open fully as it backed onto the double bed. Our room was titled ' superior double room' on the website, this was not the case. The room had single glazed windows so it was very noisy and rather cold given the time of year we stayed there.

NOTE: You do not check into this property on-site, it is off-site about 15 min. away and they do not show you a map so if you are new to the area it can be most inconvenient, especially if you are tired and have much luggage to haul...they never informed me of this and I went directly to the property and was suprised and I had let the cab already leave...NOT FUN!

Utmärkt läge, nära Paddington och Hyde Park.
Vi bodde högst upp vilket var lugnt och skönt. Fönstret kunde vara öppet utan störande ljud.
All kommunikation sker via telefon eller Mail. Det finns ingen reception.

Nous avons déjà séjourné dans cet établissement, nous aimons beaucoup le quartier, mais cette fois-ci il n'y avait plus de réception à l'entrée....pas pratique du tout pour laisser les bagages le matin du départ.

Cuando hicimos la reserva era en el 8, de Craven Hills y después llegó un correo indicando que nos esperaban en el 10 de Craven Hills Gardens. Otra calle, otro edificio. Reservé en el primero ya que lo conocía de otras ocasiones y me gusta pero no entendí este cambio y no me dieron ninguna explicación. El apartamento sucio, encontramos papeles debajo de la cama, la vajilla sucia. La ducha del baño necesitada de una limpieza profunda desde hace unos meses. Un olor desagradable a humedad al entrar al estudio, aún seguían allí las toallas mojadas de los anteriores usuarios y allí siguieron. Para hacerlo recomendable necesita muchas mejoras.

Veldig bra med kjøkken når en reiser med barn. Passe størrelse for 3 personer.
Minus at kjøleskap og stikkontakter er på samme sikring, for det klarte den ikke. Kunne ikke bruke kjøleskapet, og lade telefoner eller annet som gikk på stikkontakter samtidig.Det bør fikses.
