This is our go to hotel to stay at for easy access to Marist University. Since my daughter is a freshman, we will be using this hotel for the near future. The price is reasonable and the continental breakfast is very good. I highly recommend them.

Parking was super easy. I appreciated that their listing was very clear that I’d be on the 2nd floor and there is no elevator, no surprises. Checking in was easy and the front desk was very friendly. I appreciated their printed food recommendations not just in Hyde Park but also Poughkeepsie etc.

Great little place

We loved this simple hotel. The room was comfortable and clean. We had 24 hour access to coffee, water, ice etc in the breakfast room. The breakfast was simple- fresh bagels and donuts, cereal, bananas. Great location to the FDR library and Vanderbilt mansion.

The Roosevelt Inn is centrally located in Hyde Park. Close to shopping, restaurants and historical sites. Hiking too!!! The Inn was clean and the staff was friendly. I highly recommend the Inn for a stay!

But at the end of the day it was a lot of money to spend on an old motel.

No frills,PROS: a clean, comfortable room at a reasonable price. Good water pressure and plenty of hot water in shower, plenty of towels, television had plenty of channels and worked perfectly, though no MSNBC. Quiet and convent to attractions and shopping in area.

CONS: No electric outlets near desk area. No adjustment to room temperature that I could find, but temperature was comfortable for me.

This place was stellar. I can't say enough about it and I will definitely look forward to staying here again. It is a pristine, blast-from-the-past motel where the old time feel has been preserved in the most conscientious way. The room was cleaner than any I have been in at any hotel or motel and the bed was more comfortable than any bed I've slept in at a motel or hotel anywhere. The simplicity of this place makes it just perfect. Not too much, not too little of anything. Everything needed is thoughtfully and carefully provided. The breakfast room is adorable and the grounds are beautifully kept as well. I'm grateful that this place exists and wish there were more like it!

Adequate motel with great location

While the decor and look isn’t much this motel checks the necessary boxes. They also go out of their way to serve up a continental breakfast in a little breakfast room. The lady at the desk was very nice, and it wasn’t too noisy despite being on the main road. Super convenient to FDR library, Valkill, and Vanderbilt mansion.

This was probably the nicest old-style motel I’ve ever stayed in. The room was basic, but clean and spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast room was very cute. It was also one of the best continental breakfasts—no hot food, but good variety of pastries (love the multigrain options!) Well maintained and obvious pride in the business!

Nice motel. There is a breakfast room with continental breakfast. That’s rare for a motel. Nice room, very clean. We stayed to go to Dutchess county fair. Owner told is there would be trucks coming in at night that were workers from the fair. I appreciated the “heads up” as they were a little noisy but I knew what to expect. Will stay here again!

The Roosevelt was better than expected: very clean, well maintained & furnished with all we needed. The coffee shop was also clean, with a fun retro vibe, but all the \"food\" was highly processed industrial stuff.

Very clean and convenient

We did a one-night stay over at the Roosevelt Inn as part of an eight-day road trip. The motor inn was exactly what we expected for an old-fashioned vacation. Nothing fancy and it had a personal touch with free breakfast and a resident corgi.

Would definitely stay here again

The Roosevelt Inn, a small, friendly, family -run hotel, was the perfect choice for a short stay for an out of town memorial service. Our room was impeccably clean with comfortable beds, plenty of hot water, towels etc. There was pretty much anything you might need for a very reasonable rate. The continental breakfast was generous and very much appreciated.

The room was very clean and had everything we needed including 2 sinks which was nice. The breakfast had fresh bagels, bananas, cereal, coffee and more and there was a nice outdoor seating area.

Our stay was exceptional! We were taken back to our childhood with the retro styling of the motel and pleasantly pleased to have an updated, clean, and spacious guest room. The motel was centrally located to everything we wanted to experience in Hudson Valley making each daily adventure easy to plan. We also enjoyed the continental breakfast. Quaint Hotel in Hyde Park

The check-in/out process was quick and easy (and I even got to visit with Teddy, the corgi who lives there!). The rooms were great and way more spacious that the Quality Inn where we used to stay). There was a little coffee shop onsite with coffee, cereal, etc.
