Racists & discrimination from staff is very clear here. This is not a friendly hotel. Poorly trained and unknowledgeable staff. Hotel construction horrendous and no gym. Very low grade. I would never stay or recommend. So many hotels in this area. You will have no problem finding another place.

Our stay in the renovated room was satisfactory. The room was clean, semi comfortable and did not smell. While the room is a little snug, one can manage.

The downsides that stood out to us were the following:

The air unit makes a dripping sound in the middle of the night, which can be annoying if you're a light sleeper.

The bathroom does not exhaust well at all, so the steam sweats off the walls and every other surface.

The shower design doesnt keep the water in the shower, instead it runs all over the bathroom floor, soaking every thing in its path.

The bathroom sink is impractical to use, it gets water every where.

The room door requires you to pull the door closed forcefully creating a loud noise.

The bed is not long enough for taller people.

The bed was clean but small for a couple. The duvet is way too warm and doesn't breathe, considering also AC is available. We found a dust-bunny in a corner and there was funky smell from the shower drain when we got in, and even after taking a couple of showers (some bleach in the drain would fix it....).
The room/bathroom is small but otherwise functional and pleasant.
The property is under renovation, so expect noise from 9am or so, till 5pm. And there is only one lift in operation, so there is some wait.
But the rating of 4/5 starts is due to the cleanliness of the room and smell, and the size of the bed, more than anything else.
If the prices are not going to explode, and cleanliness improved, I would return to this property. The location is fantastic and staff are nice.

Everything was amazing - a friendly staff, clean rooms, amenities. Despite the ongoing renovation, the stay at the hotel was very pleasant. There are plenty of shops and lovely pubs in the area, as well as a bus stop and two tube stations.Highly reccommended hotel!

Staff were friendly and helpful. Building work was disruptive which did have a negative effect. Hotel did communicate this but slightly more disruptive than we thought. The works meant only one lift which could be frustrating as other guests could be rude dispute you waiting. There are many floors to service with only the one small lift working.
The room itself was very nicely done and cleaned very well. Bed sheets were too short so kept unraveling whist sleeping. Was a little annoying.
Room came with fridge which was epic with a young family. Great location in London.

Cheap, but not cheerful. We chose a deluxe basement/windowless. It was windowless, but deluxe it was not. The room’s heating system, as it was cold, didn’t function properly and the door to the shower-room would close & had permanent lighting - so reinforced the dungeon experience. It was reasonable, but crossed the line on VFM. Lesson - don’t go for the windowless.

I've been staying at this hotel since 2013. It's even better with the complete refurbishment of the rooms and hallways. The new rooms are excellent, with super comfortable beds and walkin showers. The location is superb with Hyde park a minutes walk away and two Tube stations within just a few minutes walk. The staff are extremely helpful and a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend this hotel.

We were booked into the central but were moved to the royal eagle as the central were not going to have electricity for half of our stay. We had booked full English breakfast but the royal eagle only do continental breakfast. Not informed of this till I phoned day before travel. Customer service is atrocious. Sent numerous messages and not had a reply to any. They quick to take your money but not courteous enough to answer your messages.

Overall, the reception staff were friendly and helpful from the time I arrived until I checked out. The hotel’s location is very convenient, as it is close to both the tube and bus stops. However, the room and interior of the hotel need significant improvement. The bathroom design was poorly thought out—the shower has no enclosure, causing water to spill everywhere, and although the sink looks modern, it is very impractical. Despite daily housekeeping, the room still felt dirty; the bed was made, but the sheets were not changed. Additionally, the hotel is currently under construction, so there was loud banging noise in the mornings. The soundproofing is also inadequate, as noise from the hallway can be clearly heard. Despite these issues, I enjoyed my stay, but I would probably choose another hotel next time.

Steam build up in bathroom. Ventilation not the best. Water is probably at code but for my personal preference could be a bit hotter.
Was a bit of a back and worth with the 24 hr power failure being canceled. And when we had the fire an offer of drinks while we waited would have been appreciated. If I had not asked would not have received comp late check out. Which I do appreciate.

Good location near district and central lines, and easy access to shops and cafes.
Staff was unfriendly at check-in and seemed very disorganized.
The room was small but clean and I think recently renovated, but the shower doesn’t have a door so water goes everywhere (would be good to at least have a squeegee in the bathroom so it’s possible to clean).
The room is definitely not soundproof, everyone walking through the hallways can be easily heard through the door, bring earplugs.

Very disappointed. When asked if I could be far away from the construction noise I was told that I wouldn’t hear it since I was on the 6th floor. Guess what. They were right outside of my window with what sounded like a jackhammer first thing every morning. When asked if I could get another room was told the hotel was fully booked. Terrible customer service for someone paying for a deluxe room!!

I stayed at Central Hotel Park from 30th November to 1st December and unfortunately had a very negative experience, mainly due to the behaviour of one of the security staff.

I completely understand the hotel’s policy regarding the number of guests allowed in a room. However, when I explained that a friend would only be visiting for around 30 minutes (not staying overnight), the security guard became extremely rude and aggressive. Instead of calmly advising me or directing me to reception, he raised his voice at me in the lobby and spoke in a hostile way that was completely unprofessional.

What shocked me most was that he threatened to cancel my booking with no refund simply because I asked a question. He then said he knew where I worked and would come to “disturb” me, and even referenced having a photocopy of my ID in a way that felt intimidating. As a guest, this made me feel unsafe and disrespected.

Because of this, I didn’t even feel comfortable reporting other issues with my stay:
•The room was extremely cold — the heater didn’t work properly.
•There was loud construction noise early in the morning, making it difficult to rest.

Normally I could overlook these things for a short stay, but the unprofessional behaviour from the security staff overshadowed everything. This team member is absolutely not doing the hotel any favours — he is damaging the hotel’s reputation and making guests feel uncomfortable.

The location is incredible! This hotel is near Hyde park but doesn't feel touristy and is surrounded by beautiful streets and buildings. The hotel itself is dated and feels a bit grungy. However, we had a renovated room and it was basic but clean. We did not spend much time in the room sine we were only in London for two nights. Given our short stay at the hotel, we were content with the room. However, if we were staying longer or were planning on being in the room more frequently, I would consider a different hotel. If you need a landing spot with a great location and the basic amenities, this hotel is perfect for you.

I need to emphasize and recommend to those staying at this hotel to ONLY book the 'Refurbished' suites.

My fiancé and I originally booked an 'Original' double room, thinking we wouldn’t mind an outdated space. Unfortunately, we were placed in a basement room that was small, musty, and still had trash left in the bin from the previous guest. It was immediately clear that staying in that room would make it difficult to relax and enjoy our time in the city.

We upgraded to a 'Refurbished' suite, and the difference was dramatic. The new room was clean, spacious, and completely odor-free, a total contrast to the first room. Our stay became enjoyable only after switching rooms, and the higher rating I’m giving this hotel is solely because of the quality of the refurbished suite.

The hotel itself is in a great location, just a short walk from Queensway and Bayswater tube stations, making it easy to get around London. The staff were kind and helpful, and the luggage storage service was convenient for us after checkout.

basement room with no window and a dreadful smell. They did offer to move us after one night, but we had so much stuff and not enough time to make the move.

The Room was poorly designed with very bad lighting and insufficient plugs by the bedside. The exterior of the shower enclosure and the metal trim was dirty and rusty. The shower tray was cracked. The shampoo/soap pump didn’t work. The bathroom door didn’t fully open so you could bump into it unexpectedly. When we arrived, the safe didn’t work.

On the good side, it was a reasonable price, there was an in room fridge, and the bed was comfortable. Staff were very helpful when I needed to have a room where I could access my phone service as it was inaccessible in the basement.

I might have planned to go back, but given that they have charged, or have attempted to charge me twice, I might change my mind on that.

Some of the rooms are extremely small ans some of them are spacious enough at the same floor. Our 2 rooms were very tight couldn’t even move where other rooms were spacious enough. Cannot complain about hygiene, where the cleaning staff was really cautious about details. No bottles of water were provided and some works in the building were extended to late hours i.e till 6 p.m!! Otherwise, the location and lobby were perfect.

My room was immaculately clean. Check-in and check out were both quick and easy. The luggage storage was a lifesaver as my flight got in at 9am and I didn’t want to have my suitcase with me all day as I went to do some museums and shopping. Stayed for 1 night in one of the newly refurbished rooms on the fourth Floor rooms 400+, after reading previous reviews I was very dubious of the hotel, however it was nice and modern and very clean room, breakfast was very good buffet style hot and cold and the bar was great, when the refurbishments are complete it will be very nice. Close to Hyde Park and easy access to city centre with Bayswater and Queensway train or subway in close proximity.

There was no security check.

I booked a double room with window but was assigned to a tiny double room with no windows. We needed to take baggages up and down some stairs in the basement. Air quality not good and the ceiling is low too that made my wife feel sick. They didn’t change room for us in the first place. After our repeated solicitation, Receptionists finally sent us the upper floor. Room cleaning service was very good. They also offered umbrella rental at £2 on rainy days. Walkable to Central line subway.

Overall, my stay was ok. Pros, fast/easy check-in, great location and the remodeled room was clean. Cons, I expected a small room but would’ve expected the space to be efficiently staged. For instance, a luggage rack would’ve helped since there is no storage for clothes, etc and to provide more than two hangers. Also, the bed was way too firm and the linens were stiff and very uncomfortable. Would not stay again.
