Check is was a little tough, they only had one person running the cafe and check in desk, and we happened to arrive during a rush. Since we booked through Expedia we couldn't use the check in kiosk. If we had been able to do that I think overall check in would have been easier. The room felt surprisingly spacious considering its actual size. Bed was comfy and shower was great. Also loved this location - being in old town and short walk to the royal mile was excellent - and we didn't have to take any stairs from Waverly train station, which in Edinburgh seems like a miracle.

The hotel was situated in a great place..... near the Royal Mile, Princes St. and the train station. The room was clean as far as the bedding and bathroom but there were stains on the carpet and some tiles were coming off on the bathroom floor. The room was small which is fine but the bed is up against the wall which isn’t comfortable for getting up in the middle of the night. Breakfast was ok.... continental breakfast..... yogurt, granola, pastries, etc.

Despite the hotel stating on its website that parking is available, there is no parking of any kind. Additionally, we arrived at the hotel at 2:45 PM. The lobby was full of expectant guests all waiting for the magic 3:00 check in time. The staff was insistent on waiting until 3:00 before anyone could check in. This resulted in a considerable queue that caused frustration from the guests and irritation from the staff. It was a most unpleasant experience. As for the facilities themselves, I’ve not seen such filthy carpeting since my dog relived himself in the sitting room. Horrendous stains throughout the hallways and into the rooms themselves. Our window looked directly out into the walkway of a neighboring home and we were privileged to have them look in on us through the evening and the following morning. The television hung at a precarious angel and appeared to be on the verge of jumping off the wall if not for its fear of touching the aforementioned carpeting. The screen would go black after a few minutes and remain with only sound thereafter. I cannot recommend this hotel for anyone unless you find some pleasure in rude, overbearing staff, carpeting that doubles for farm floors and inoperable tech that is bordering on a health hazard. Do yourself and everyone in the civilized world a favor and seek other, any other, accommodations.

The room is tiny but it is designed to have several locations to put your stuff. They had UK, Euro and USB plugs. The bed was comfortable and the AC was nice. They were able to easily store our luggage before check in for free.
We didn't have a great first impression of the room, there were several stains on the carpet, a few minor stains on the bedding, some electrical problems. The location isn't central, its a street over from the end of the royal mile, but its ok for the price.
Next time I might spend bit more for a better hotel, but this isn't a terrible choice for the price.

It was just a couple minute walk to the royal mile, a bunch of shops and food options. The room was nice, however the fan mounted in the room wasn't really working so it got really hot in the room, especially after someone showered because the bathroom is built into the room. And because of this moisture kind of stays in the room and I noticed signs of mold in the bathroom.

Convenient to Waverley Station and Royal Mile. Room was very modern (lots of outlets handy to the bed) with a comfortable bed. Bathroom was great with a strong shower and large towels. Breakfast buffet offered a lot of choices. Staff were very pleasant. I would put this hotel at the top of my list for my next stay!

They don’t clean the room. They said you need to request a day before. Nobody told me that
I ordered a marguerita pizza and they brought just a cheese pizza, the staff said they don’t use basil and tomatoes on marguerita pizza. Very poor and expensive room for that kind of services

Hi! This was a stay like no other. Odd lightning in the bedroom, very limited natural light, small room for the money. Homeless encampment across the street. Shattered windows at costa next store. The team cleaning rooms was great, helpful and kind. The rest of the staff was in helpful and border line rude. This was our first and last Premium Inn/ Hub staff . Did I mentioned you almost got electrocuted when you used the button less elevator. Issue was never addressed in hour over week stay.

This hotel was great: great location, right in the center of town, short walk to both downtown and Carlton Hill, amongst others. The rooms itself were small, if two people are staying in a room it might be tight and not much privacy. Breakfast for £6 is plenty and has a good variety. All-day complimentary coffee (incl. cappuccino, flat white etc.) and tea is a highlight. The true stars, however, are the staff members. Especially: Rania, Fernando, and Johnny. Friendly, helpful, accommodating. Haven’t been at a hotel with such attentive staff in a while. All in all, great stay! Would recommend!

The best thing about this place is its right in the middle of old town making accessible to all the itineraries via walking. Staff were super nice too. The only thing that I have to say is, we were there for 4 nights and asked them to change our bedsheets, they always said okey but never changed them 😂😂😂

Fantastic stay at Hub By Premier Inn Edinburgh – Royal Mile! The location couldn’t be better — many of the main tourist attractions, great restaurants, and shops are all within easy walking distance. The train station is just a few minutes away on foot, which made getting around so simple. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-designed, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this hotel for exploring Edinburgh!

Room could have been a tad cleaner. The floors / elevators in the hotel need a good scrubbing. Also someone needs to empty the cigarette dispenser outside the front door. Very unsightly. The staff was friendly. Not a lot amenities. Continental breakfast was sparse. Yogurt and an assortment of breads and hotel cereal. And it’s a no frills hotel…. And served its purpose.

Excellent experience overall. Luggage storage provided for us to leave our bags early before check in. 24/7 drinks and charging station at the restaurant on the main floor very convenient. Room wasn’t big but wasn’t small, was comfortable amount of space. Only small garbage can in bathroom in room. Room gets humid due to lack of ventilation and ac/fan turns off when you leave the room. Good lights and ac/heat system.

The location is great, close to royal mile but away from a lot of foot traffic so the rooms were quiet. Check in and checkout was smooth. The wifi didn't work at all for 2 out of 3 days of my trip, and the room I had didn't have good mobile signal either, so I had no internet at all.
The room smelled musty but was mostly comfortable. I was given no instructions at all during check-in and discovered on my own that they have free coffee and tea on the ground floor for everyone. I appreciate the sustainability effort of not washing the towels every single day, but it would have been useful to have two bath towels in the bedroom instead of just the one.
Overall was an ok stay!

The room was a little bit larger than a math box, not roomy to be comfortable. The room service staff provided only one towel for two of us. The toilet paper ran out. There was no paper tissue (Cleenex type) provided. The room was very dusty, so the toilet paper was used to clean up the area we used to leave personal items. The room carpet did not show it was vacuumed properly. BAD!

Nice hotel close to the train station. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good. Be sure to schedule in advance if you want an early check in, I mistakenly thought you could just pay on the day to check in early and that wasn’t the case. But they do let you leave your luggage. The gin distillery is right across the street as well as one of the Islander UK workshops. I partook in both! And there’s a little chocolate shop around the corner. The room is small but cozy and I had a nice little view. The staff was friendly and checking out was just dropping your key card in a box!

This hotel is perfect for a quick stay in Edinburgh. It is a short five minute walk from the train station and another short five minute walk to the Royal Mile. The rooms are not big, but the bed is super comfortable. It is well priced clean and the staff and other accommodations were perfect. You can also get the option for an included continental breakfast, which was delicious and very well priced. 10/10 would recommend and would stay here again.

The room was certainly not up to the same standard we received a few days earlier when we stayed. The room had the neon chair that had a wet stain on it, so we couldn’t use it. Floor looked in vacuumed. Most importantly there is black mold bottom of the glass shower door. We were extremely busy this time out and couldn’t deal with it at the time.

This is an extremely small room, with access to the bed limited to one side only as the other 3 sides are jammed against the wall, and it is difficult to get up into the bed as it sits above storage drawers. The "living space" is a narrow aisle which is impassable if a drawer is open. The only place to open a suitcase is likewise on the narrow floor, or unhygienicly, on top of the bed. The mattress was not too uncomfortable, but was covered with only a single unfitted sheet not suitable for restless sleepers. I awoke several times laying directly on the uncovered mattress as the sheet had slipped out from under me -- gross. There is also a duvet provided, but no top sheet. Whomever sleeps next to the wall cannot easily exit the bed as their companion blocks the path. Also, the electrical outlets for phone chargers are inconveniently located causing the wall sleeper to become entangled in charging cables. Some of the outlets were also inoperable. The room felt stuffy and the air controls not effective. The carpet seemed sticky. At least the bathroom and shower were good, and towels were exchanged upon request at the front desk. Breakfast was adequate, and coffee and tea were available at all times.

The breakfast had a limited selection, but what they did do they did well. The croissants were some of the lightest/flakiest I've ever had, and they made an excellent coffee for you, all unlimited, and all for 6 pounds, which can't be beat.

My negative review is due to our room, for which the temperature was hot and which could not be adjusted. There were electronic controls for requesting daily cleaning, which made no sense since the option was to NOT request a cleaning, but the default as posted was that you had to specifically request a cleaning. This was confusing, as you had to go to the desk to request a cleaning. Finally, there was little shelf and hook space to put stuff, and the desk was just a small fold-out from the wall. In short, high potential, but poorly executed for the room design.
