Straight forward process to book. Staff were fast and friendly. However, check-in line was lengthy, staff were juggling a long line of people.

The room was clean and had a beautiful view of the city. However the door did not have a secondary security feature, such as a door chain or block in case someone accidentally received a key to my door handle.

Great location and value for money. The breakfast included with reservation is solid and convenient.

Excellent location with easy access to public transportation. Walking distance to a discount supermarket, various cafes and dining options. Great value for the price!

However, it would be nice if there were at least a fridge, microwave and kettle in the room versus keeping food in a shared fridge in the basement kitchen.

As soon as I walked in to a mixed room, my nose was greeted by a strong smell of body odour. There was no proper air circulation, so the smell stayed in the room. The mixed room I was in consists of two bunk beds and two twin beds right beside each other, made into a double bed. It horrified me because I am literally sleeping next to a stranger. The room was very hot and I was sweating. Worst hostel experience so far for me.

There's 2 lift but only one is working and you can only accommodate 3 or 4 pax in the lift.
Room is tiny. I had a room for 4 pax and doesn't have enough space for luggages.
They don't do room services everyday even though they say they will do alternative days as I was staying for 4 nights.
They have self service laundry room so you can do laundry there but it's quite dirty in there.
The location is great though as you have train, trams and buses just besides this hostel. A few places for food within walking distance and a grocery store a tram station away.

The staff were not the most pleasant. I was initially placed in a room with two men (I'm a solo female traveler). When I asked to be relocated to a female-only room, the staff begrudgingly placed me in a room that was already full. The third room they placed me in was great, and very clean. But I basically had to unpack, re-pack, and haul my heavy suitcases around the property several times which was quite troublesome.

Easy to find, decent location, but room was very dirty. moved the twin beds apart and there was so much dust underneath that my black socks were white with so much dust. Bed sheets had hair from previous users. Bathroom was fairly clean though. Seems like they focus on certain areas more than others. Will not be staying here again.

Problem after problem

We arrived at the hotel at around 10:30pm but there was a long line for check in. We didn’t actually get our room key until nearly midnight. We were travelling with 2 young children who were already exhausted so this was a very long wait. When we got to the room, there wasn’t enough sheets for the beds or pillow or duvet covers. The curtains didn’t cover the window so we had no privacy and we’re woken up at dawn as we had no way to block out the sunrise. When my husband went down to the desk to ask for more bedding and to query the lack of curtains there was already a separate queue for complaints. He was told there was no more bedding but it might arrive in the middle of the night so he could check back then. He was given no advice about the curtains. We all had a terrible night sleep and I will absolutely avoid using this hotel again. They have not tried to resolve anything or contact us. Very disappointing.

Area has plenty of eating options and is handy for Messe but next time I will book the premier inn.

Room condition and hygiene were not very good

The dorm of 6 people had a lack of ventilation, so we're forced to open the window. Meanwhile, the weather was cold, and the traffic was noisy. The new bedsheets were simply dropped on the dusty floor. Some sheets were covered in dust, so I didn't use it. Furthermore, some USB chargers in the room were broken. The only advantages of this hotel are just the location and the price.

CORONA certainly ruined the breakfast service...so no one's fault. -Other: I had to change my date, but was unable to do on line via the website (although promised) !
Then the Tel Nr did not work and I had to search around to get a life person on finally. A little frustrating.
Yes, noisy around there, but so convenient w/ the S-Bahn within a 5 min walk ! Have been there on other trips - and will be back !

So called in to change my check in date, they said no problem (this is after being hung up on 3 times!) Show up and all the sudden they can't find my reservation. Call Expedia for the booking number they inform me they have to call, wait on hold long distance (gonna be a wonderful cell phone bill) to be told that I would be charged as a no-show...an additional half of what i originally paid for 5 days, said nope they told me it was fine and I'm not paying any extra. Expedia at this point basically told me there was nothing they could do so failures between both the hostel and Expedia cost me three hundred bucks. Ended up walking out and across the street was the Tryp Wyndham where we ended up staying. So if you may run into an emergency do not book this hostel and Expedia does not provide the proper booking number to do any changes apparently though the hostel will tell you different on the phone. Avoid!

Wouldn't recommend if you're a minority

The room is nice but they have no lockers in the room to put your things. So either you trust your roommates or you have to pay 4 Euros a day to rent a locker in the lobby. How stupid is that?

The indian/arab working check in is racist. I was one of two people in line to check in and he called over the white behind me, not even acknowledging me. When he gave me my key, he said the room's over there and pointed behind him, expecting me to find it outside in the back. Worse than that, he tried to make me pay for the room again when I already paid it online. Will not stay again, I'm sure they don't care.

Das Badezimmer war nicht ganz sauber, der Boden fühlte sich sehr klebrig an. In dem Zimmer für 4 Personen, das ich bekam, stand ein Etagenbett und zwei Einzelbetten, diese beiden Einzelbetten standen direkt nebeneinander und wir konnten sie nicht trennen. Das bedeutete, dass ich praktisch neben einer Person schlafen musste, die ich nicht kenne, das hat mir nicht gefallen.

Ich bin spät eingecheckt, das hat soweit auch problemlos geklappt. Allerdings musste ich dann feststellen, dass das Bett nicht bezogen war. Weder Laken noch Bettbezug war vorhanden. Andere Gäste im Zimmer haben mit Decke ohne Überzug geschlafen, zwei von vier hatten Bettzeug. Dusche/Klo hätten auch sauberer sein können.

Hab mich bei Expedia beschwert. Die Reaktion von Expedia fand ich gut und es wurde im Anschluss von Expedia die Unterkunft kontaktiert. Von der Unterkunft selbst bin ich aber enttäuscht.

Prenotato camera per quattro persone. All'arrivo la camera non era pronta: all'interno abbiamo trovato uno zaino e scarpe con letto sfatto ed asciugamani usati. CI hanno cambiato camera immediatamente ma purtroppo nella seconda camera non è stato possibile soggiornare in quanto vi era un puzzo di fumo incredibile, le tende erano in parte divelte, i cuscini erano sporchi. Abbiamo lasciato immediatamente la struttura senza neppure chiedere un rimborso in quanto abbiamo capito che lo standard era veramente basso.

Die Karte gezückt, doch was soll das sein?
Kein EC – nur Kredit oder Bargeld allein.
Verloren gestanden, die Stirn in Falten,
doch schließlich gezahlt, um Einlass zu erhalten.

Im Zimmer dann Kälte, es fror mich so sehr,
die Fenster undicht, der Frost kam daher.
Die Heizung auf Fünf, der Vorhang als Schild,
doch blieb es doch zugig, trotz Wärme im Bild.

Die Straße war laut, der Lärm ohne Rast,
dazu ein Heizkörper, der pfiff und auch knackt’.
Zum Glück gab’s Kopfhörer, Noise-Cancelling fein,
so fand ich doch Schlaf in dem frostigen Heim.

Gebucht eine Reinigung, erwartet am Morgen,
doch keiner erschien, das gab mir zu sorgen.
Die Mail kam verspätet: „Wie sauber war’s heut?“
Ich lachte nur trocken – denn niemand erschien erneut.

とにかく利便性がよい。この一点につきます。寝るだけに利用する目的ならとても便利な場所にあります。
スタッフの感じは良かったが、それ以外に
他はあまりおすすめできる点がなかった。
エレベーターが壊れていて1基だけたまに動いているが極狭で2、3人しか入れない。
結局滞在中一度も利用できなかった。
常に4階まで階段を使うしかなかった。荷物がない時はまだしも、帰国日スーツケースをもち階段から降りたので次の日腕が痛くなってしまった。。

Never again! Rude staff and unclean room.

Extremely rude staff when checking in, that was actually the exact moment when we decided never to stay there again!

We stayed 6 persons in 3 dubbel rooms for 280 euro per night and room in February.

Apart from that, it is very very worn down, you dont get linens for your bed, only the cotton thing that sits around the mattress. Only 1 foam matress and nothing else, the pillows were extremely flat and when we asked for another, they didnt get it for us so after going down to the lobby again (only 1 elevator working the entire stay, and its for 3 persons, in a huge hotel.) They finally have us another but of course without anything around.it, so we had to wrap the towel around ot to sleep on it.

It says on the door that they will.empty trash and desinfect the room daily, but that doeas NOT happen. (None of our 3 rooms) neither new rowels or toiletpaper or shampoo, and also bring your own cups, thats is NOT included in the €1950 + we paid for our visit.

STAY AWAY!

I wiuld say this is worth max €40-50 per room, on a good day.

CheckIn hat über 50min gedauert, da nur eine einzige Mitarbeiterin gleichzeitig neue Gäste angenommen hat und Barfrau war.

Die Einrichtung der Zimmer ist angemessen spartanisch, aber das Bad ist wirklich abgerockt und dreckig. Der Boden der Toilettenschüssel braun, die Dichtung der Duschkabine hing nur noch am seidenen Faden.

Also, aufgrund eines Festivals habe ich mit Freunden zusammen hier gebucht ! ABSOLUT schrecklich ! Die Zimmer sind dreckig, die Toiletten riechen nach Stuhl und Urin ! Vor dem Hotel sind abends viele Menschen die Laut sind, aufgrund von fehlender Klimaanlagen in den Zimmern sind wir gezwungen gewesen die Fenster zu öffnen! Es war einfach nur laut und zu heiß! Am nächsten Morgen war zu sehen vor dem Hotel, ganz viele Zigaretten stümmel und erbrochenes ! Ich muss kein Luxus haben ABER SAUBERKEIT und Klimaanlage n bei 34 grad sind Basics, GRADE DIE SAUBERKEIT in den Zimmern / Bädern / vor dem Hotel ist ein muss !

The stay wasn't nice. First, the reception was inattentive and gave us a dirty room. When I complained the response was 'We do clean it eventually, you can have it', which I said I wasn't having, that I needed a clean room from the start. They got us a partially clean room. They never explained the checkout process and honestly, it felt like we were bugging them instead of being clients.

Personal war zu wenig daher überfordert, Gäste an der Theke wurden Minuten lang stehen gelassen, und drei Mitarbeiter waren beim Check in.

Insgesamt ließ die Sauberkeit zu wünschen übrig (Bettgestelle nicht abgewischt, Ecken und unter der Heizung nicht gereinigt). Bei Beschwerde war das Service-Personal aber total freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Die Anbindung in die Stadt war sehr gut. Vom Hauptbahnhof brauchte man nur wenige Minuten. Die Straßenbahn direkt vor dem Hostel wurde auch von verschiedenen Linien angefahren, sodass man immer gut von A nach B kommen konnte.
- Die Zimmer waren insgesamt nicht sehr sauber. Bei meinem Zimmer war die Toilette nicht gereinigt worden (es gab noch Spuren von der vorherigen Person). So bekam ich dann ein anderes Zimmer, das war dann zum Glück sehr unproblematisch.
- Beide Zimmer hatten Flecken an den Wänden, abgerissene Tapete und Boden/Fensterbank waren zerschrammt. Also der Gesamteindruck eher schlecht. Was jetzt auch nicht so wild ist, da man ja eigentlich nur ins Zimmer kommt um zu schlafen. Aber das war das größte Problem.
- Es war extrem laut!
Es rummpelte Nachts im Treppenhaus, Die Straßenbahn fuhr die ganze Nacht, lauter Verkehr, Personen die sich vor dem Hostel aufhielten und rumgeschrien haben, laut Musik gemacht haben etc... Dazu war es extrem heiß im Zimmer (Außentemperatur Tagsüber im April ca 19 Grad), aber keine Klimaanlage und an Fenster aufmachen war gar nicht zu denken. Ich habe in den beiden Nächten in denen ich da war kaum Schlaf bekommen. Schalldichte Fenster fehlen hier einfach.
- Das Frühstück war auch sehr dürftig. Es gab wenig Auswahl, die Qualität war auch nicht gut.
- Man musste an der Rezeption immer sehr lange warten
