I loved the helpful staff! They were very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. In particular, the kind women working the night shift who made drinks worked the desk during the night shift. I appreciated the location as it’s fairly close to two metro stations, a tram line, and the Aalto university. It is also right by the water and some lovely walking areas. The beds were good. The last guests trash was left in my bedroom bathroom and it smelled bad, but after requesting a room cleaning everything was fixed and addressed. I liked my room. It was comfortable. The room with a sofa bed is definitely crammed with too much furniture for one person, but would be ideal for a family! It was quiet despite the Helsinki dog show and many of the dogs staying here. I didn’t hear the other guests at all on my floor. And usually the lobby was fairly quiet. I would stay here again!

Bed was a double yet they gave me two single duvets which was unhelpful and not practical.

Good value

Nice, comfy bed. Somewhat cramped room with worn electrical equipment. Tiny shower only, no bathtub unlike what I was mistakenly expecting - remember to specify what kind of room you want.
Quite affordable by Finnish standards. Good breakfast - all the essentials were available, though not the largest buffet I've seen in the country. Parking situation was a bit chaotic in the weekend.

Expectations exceeded.

My son and I had a really good 3 night stay at this hotel. The price was very reasonable so I did not have amazingly high expectations, but they were definitely exceeded.

It was my sons 10th birthday and the staff really went out of their way to help make it special for him. The breakfast was also good(very important factor).. with a nice selection of fruit/veg as well as hot options. And room service from the on site restaurant was high quality in my opinion.

My son is also a big fan of the swimming pool and sauna at this place. I used the gym equipment(running machines) a bit to kill some time on the last day.

Outside, the surroundings of the hotel were peaceful and calm.

We've stayed in a LOT of hotels in the Helsinki/Espoo, this is one we will certainly stay at again.

Well the hotel is located far from everything. That mean that you can not go no where if you need buy a drink etc. prices on the hotel are expensive a coca cola is like 3.80. Breakfast if is included on price good if not to bother. Room Verry simple nothing special. Sauna ok. If you just want to sleep after a long flight is ok apart of that no.

This property is on the. amp us at Aalto University. It is a pleasant place to stay, quiet with good parking and nice views of the lake. The rooms are on the small side, but very efficient. we had a very comfortable double bed. There are many nice amenities, foosballl, sauna, pool, restaurant, free library, newspapers, fruit bowls, water. The hotel is fairly basic, comfortable and pleasant.

Great location, next to a small lake and 10 mins from the uni metro to take you into Helsinki in about 15 mins . Espoo is quiet and peaceful and the staff at the hotel were all very friendly. Would stay there again.

Over priced and disappointing. Worst part was breakfast which is not included with reservation and costs 21 euros each morning. During the time of our stay, it was incredibly congested at 8am in the breakfast area and often lots of items were low and running out. Table not cleared fast enough and we had to help clear our own tables.

Watch what you leave!!! It may not be there later!

The beds were comfortable and rooms clean. Breakfasts nice and one meal I had nice. Area was fine if you worked in area not for tourists. Extremely important paperwork taken from our room. Although receptionist apparently made contact with cleaning the outcome was less that satisfactory. I am still considering getting the police involved. It was made worse that no manager came the receptionist although polite did very little. It was interesting also listening to a list of things not found in a conversation she had on the phone from people staying in June! The matter has not stopped. My daughters medical papers, prescription and all of her personal information was removed!

Good option in the espoo area

Decent hotel in the Espoo area with good views on waterfront (see photo from room and at waterfront) with a good restaurant (although menu is quite limited if eating there multiple nights). Comfortable rooms. Helpful staff. A bonus is it is next to a city bike station where for eur10 can access bikes for 30 min periods for a week. The hotel do not promote this but it is a really good amenity. Not a huge amount to do locally but also metro link to the city is nearby.

Enjoyed my stay.

I was there for 8 days for a conference at Altoo University. It was walking and/or biking distance from the hotel. I biked into downtown Helsinki one day which was about 5 miles each way. So many trails around that it’s really worth it to get off the road and enjoy nature.

Great location, good hotel

Very friendly staff, located right next to Aalto and walking distance from Metro system. You can see the water from many of the rooms. Stayed on the second floor, room was fine and very clean, but a bit dated inside.

Not what was expected or paid for.

Booked and paid for the hotel for 1 week via Expedia. Room booked was Superior with Queen including breakfast.

When checking in, was advised that breakfast was in addition even though it had been paid for up front. The breakfast cost is 21 Euros per person per day. IT IS NOT WORTH IT! The coffee machine was broken most days and the brown liquid that was in the flasks was not what I would class as coffee. Unfortunately there is nowhere nearby to get an alternative breakfast

The hotel was pretty much a building site.

The pool and sauna were closed most of the time and not open for the times stated in the booking.

The room was tiny, not what I would call Superior, goodness knows what a Standard room would look like!

Beautiful scenery near Aalto and Microsoft

Beautiful hotel overlooking the sea. About 20 minutes by bus to Kamppi, Helsinki city center. Walking distance to Aalto University campus.

There is a small Aleppo supermarketer about 5 minutes walk. The restaurant in the hotel is quiet good.

Over all I highly recommend

Comfortable hotel in excellent location

Radisson Blu Espoo is located right next to Aalto university, on the shore near nature trails, close to Tapiola centre and an easy 8 minute bus ride from downtown Helsinki. The breakfasts in the restaurant on premises are superb.

Excellent hotel, very clean, friendly and helpful staff.... But a little too far from central helsinki! Average taxi fair to the main train station was about 30E.
Great place, great staff, cold pool..... Didn't expect to spend £500 on taxi fairs in 4 days! Maby that was my mistake for not researching further! But over all for the hotel 10 out of 10!

The Hotel was good for the price. Located outside Helsinki City Centre but regular buses stop about 10 minutes walk away.
Breakfast was ok but uninspiring and expensive!
Nothing to eat during the day, which is odd considering the distance from any place to eat.
It's a big dog hotel with plenty of howling and barking at night, the owners must have gone out fo rthe evening and left the in the rooms alone! Not at all pleased about that.Suggest that when you check in make sure that you get a room well away from the barking and howling.

Great hotel, needs ironing!

This hotel is great and is well presented. It's staff are friendly and the services available for individuals is great! However with children and as a family hotel it falls short. If a hotel offers children beds as if it can cater, then it would be fantastic if the hotel could also offer children's amenities. There is nothing! Now the hotel is definitely a four star hotel, but the restaurant is not even close to this. Again I have rarely come across a hotel restaurant that doesn't have a kids menu and to just half an adults meal as an alternative is not that appealing to little ones and is rather too strong on their palates. Also they seem to cater for large parties of guests but don't inform you of the possible chaos that can extend waiting times and over stretch the staff, a heads up before being seated would be good information as if you are in a rush you could opt for somewhere else. The staff are very good there and resolve issues well, but is it a 4 star restaurant? From the points I have raised, no!

Don't judge a book by its cover.

At first when we arrived I thought the size of the room would be a problem. But the area is gorgeous and a short bus ride away to Helsinki and well worth the trade off. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room wasn't the cleanest but it did the trick. There is a convenient store around the corner and you can rent a bike for free to ride around and I enjoyed it by the lake. The hotel bathroom is smaller than my walk in closet but after understanding the culture of the area it made sense why hotels conserve space. I mentioned it because, as an American, we are used to supersizing everything so I was caught off guard.

Nice enough. Away from hustle & bustle of big city. College in area. Convenience store nearby.

Too many geese and droppings.
That took away a bit from the nice setting near the water. Buffet was average at best. Overall was good enough.

Can manage with public transportation if you use Google for the bus. Buy a pass, which will cover you on the bus and subway.

Siisti hotelli. Sängyt ja tyynyt olivat oikein mukavat. Ilmastointi toimi hyvin, vaikka ulkona oli kuuma. Ilmastointilaite tosin oli hieman äänekäs, joten jos on tosi herkkäuninen, voi häiritä. Ruoka oli hyvää illalla ravintolassa ja aamiainen oli laadukas ja monipuolinen. Parkkipaikat loppuivat kesken, mutta saatiin pysäköidä muualle hotellin pihalla. Ystävällinen palvelu.

Mukava asiakaspalvelu, hyvä ruoka ja aamupala, ihanat sängyt, lapsille pientä puuhaa. Sijainti rannassa.
Uima-altaan vesi olisi saanut olla pikkuisen lämpimämpää, muuten ei mitään motkottamista. Viihdyttiin hyvin!

Overall great beautiful place to stay. The hotel was by seaside and there was lovely road to walk around. The staff was polite and we got a couple hours later check out time for free. The parking area was bit small, so if you are arriving late there might not be room. Also on the room, there was bit damage to the floor and it was bubbling from one spot.
