Good location, though out from town there was a tram stop right outside the door

We loved the decor and art.
Fabulous range of vegan foods for breakfast.
Easy access to city on tram 9 from outside the hotel - 10 minutes to central station.
Highly recommend this funky, cool Ax hotel (Art experience).

Great affordable small hotel within easy reach of the city centre. The room was stylish and compact, but very clean. The bathroom had a good shower and was well laid out and similarly well-designed. The breakfast buffet was good, with enough food and even herring, if that's your thing. The staff were fairly friendly and helpful. The only issue we ran into was a slight smell coming from the bathroom - we were not sure where the smell originated, but it was slightly unpleasant at times. However, this was fairly minor. Overall, the stay was excellent and, for Helsinki, affordable!
Steven
Better AC and warmer shower
Lisa
Check in was very friendly and efficient. The hotel and our room were very clean and quiet. The bed was very comfortable. No complaints at all!
Valérie
Everything about this hotel was great, the room was comfortable and well designed. Delicious breakfast and the staff was super nice. Highly recommend!

I had a great stay at Hotel AX during my visit to Helsinki. The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast buffet was delicious with plenty of options to choose from.
One thing I really appreciated was the location. There is a tram stop right in front of the hotel, making it easy to get around the city. It was also conveniently located less than 10 minutes from the ferry terminal, which made my trip to Tallinn very easy and stress-free.
Overall, I found Hotel AX to be comfortable, convenient, and a great value. Between the friendly service, excellent breakfast, and easy access to both public transportation and the Tallinn ferry terminal, I would definitely consider staying here again on a future trip to Helsinki.

No sauna on site; but there is uusi sauna two blocks away.
Rooms were just right.
Breakfast was delicious.
Parking is off site.
25min walk to city centre, but there is a tram that takes you right there easily.
Really enjoyed my stay here, the art is so fun to look at!

Actually: supergreat place to stay and very nice design. good breakfast, enough space for parking. but: why you need rainbow-flag on breakfast table?? it may be clearly annoying to most people even if they do not say it openly
Simon
Fun hotel with great staff.
Ewan
Excellent hotel with friendly staff. The room was compact with no desk, but the main lobby area is inspiring and good for working in too.
VIPUL
Easy access to metro, restaurant, bars and little walking to shopping street.
Lee
Chose this art hotel as it was near to some friends apartments, but what a lovely experience. Just ultra cool hotel in one of the up and coming areas to live in Helsinki!

A very unique art-themed hotel. Rooms are individually designed but lacking a chair and table. The hotel is located in modern, up and coming (in a nice way) area. I would definitely stay again.
Edwin
THE PROPERTY HAD NO AIRFLOW FROM OUTSIDE THE WINDOW ARE CLOSE AND CANNOT BE OPEN EVEN JUST TO HAVE FRESH AIR FROM OUTSIDE.THE WINDOW IS SEALED AND FOR THE GUEST WHO ARE CLOSTROPHOBIC THE HOTEL IS NOT FOR US.
Arturo Domingo
Thanks to the lovely staff. I hope they will find a solution to at least open the windows for some fresh air.
Rain
Love Arty hotel. Only one thing to be aware of is there isn’t any storage for your clothes. However rooms are lovely
Amelie
Interesting hotel away from the tourist core
We had a nice stay in one of the arts rooms. The hotel is quite whimsical and has an amazing breakfast buffet that was included in the fare. We loved the location. It was convenient and had everything we wanted nearby.
Margaret
It is a unique, quirky place to stay. Safe area to walk about alone at night
Anastasia
Stay away from this place. “Overbooked” seems to be “normal” for this hotel, then you have to stay with someone else in a room…
Anastasia
The worst experience ever! Never ever again and strong recommendation for everyone to avoid this place. We had team event. All the rooms was pre-paid, but upon arrival for 3 people there was no place to stay, so one person was redirected to another hotel. 2 other had to stay in one room. Just because “the hotel was overbooked”. Never ever again!!!
Michael
Unusual Hotel. Art based. No Restaurant. Breakfast available. Snacks, liquor, and a reading book selection.
Very helpful and pleasant staff. Rooms are small but modern, clean and interesting, artwise. Guests are encouraged to come down to Lobby area where people congregate and visit.

Great hotel close to centre and port ! Clean and unique art style very stylish ! Staff excellent and very helpful.. breakfast was also great
Janne
Nice and pretty new rooms. Will there again
Ray
Nice hotel, a little quirky but comfortable
Ray
Friendly staff, comfortable room, excellent breakfast and easy access to local amenities and a nearby tram stop.
Auli
Great property, lovely bar and hangout area
Lacks places to out your stuff, even a small dresser would help. While compact we have stayed here for business twice because of the great art, warm environment and a lobby bar. The location is good depending on what you’re doing in Helsinki, we find it mostly walkable and easy to get around

Great Hotel.
Had to book a hotel last minute as our car broke down. Found this gem of a hotel, with amazing and really helpful staff. Would happily stay here again.
Oren
Great hotel
The hotel is 20 min walk from center and is right ontop of a tram line so with tram 5 min and 3 min to ferry terminal to Tallin. Its very nice new rooms - can be a bit bigger and with nespresso maker but they are nice, breackfast is huge and good. Lobby is great for working.
Thomas
I would heartily recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Helsinki. Quirky but very nice, and the breakfast buffet is amazing. I'm afraid it's ruined me for the \"continental breakfast\" you get at similarly priced hotels in the States!
Sam
The rooms are very nice, the bed comfortable and the blankets thick. The only thing I didn't appreciate was the shower. I have stayed in many eco-friendly hotels before, but this one seems to restrict water pressure. This combined with only a small shower head means you can only apply water to abiut a 5 inch circumference of your body at a time, and makes rinsing thick hair almost impossible.
Maria
Near perfect
Everything was near perfect. The room was clean and modern. Each room seemed to have a different design theme. The only thing is that there could have been a normal-size trash bin in the room (there was one very small one in the bathroom). Breakfast was good, nothing mind-blowing but I really liked that there was real omelette next to the scrambled eggs mix that hotels usually serve.
Tom
It was a great hotel with really nice design features. Highly recommended.
The
Staffers at breakfast service didn’t show their smiles, looking somehow serious to guests.
James
Beautilly done hotel, but my room with a king bed was cramped and stuffy. They loaned me a fan so i was comfortable. Windows do not open, no safe or fridge. Rooms were quiet, with a comfortable mattress. Definitely not a room for two travelers with large suitcase to unpack or need a work space for lap tops. It was great to have a tram stop just outside the hotel that will get you to the airport with one change for 4,10 €. Take the 9 train, either A or B. It is a16 minute walk to the # 2 ferry terminal. Street seemed safe at all hours.
MARICHU
Staff were very accommodating upon check in. The breakfast is good. The tram to the city center was only a few steps away so convenient. Arranged our taxi to airport and even gave us boxed breakfast at 3 am. Would stay there again.

Great stopover with late checkout
I found the room incredibly hot and was unable to lower air conditioner below 19.5. We enjoyed a great supper in hotel. It was easy access by car from port as we had holiday in Estonia
Jonathan
Great stay, great staff and great atmosphere
Edward
Very comfortable and friendly hotel. Room was on small side. But had all facilities.

We loved AX hotel
The staff was excellent. Was always met with a smile. The food was great, my girlfriend and I looked forward to breakfast every morning. The hotel itself was intimate and cozy.We will definitely come back! Thank you again to all the staff and chefs at AX hotel! :)

Such a good spot and cozy big inner space!
Shahrin
One of the best hotel I’ve stayed conveniently by tram to city centre and airport. Near to Helsinki landmarks. Helpful staff. Overall is excellent. Highly recommended!!
Jutta
Lovely property in a convenient location. The room was compact, but absolutely fine for one night. The bed was very comfortable and room quiet. My only complaint was that there was no bin in the room.
Muqiu
The location is great! Just a bit small though
Matthew
Good location, friendly and helpful staff, good transport links and excellent breakfast.
Luke
Slow check-in, poor water pressure in shower. Limited room facilities. Room was adequate otherwise. The area might be decent in a few years, but was 'up and coming' during our my stay in 2023
Cynthia
Excellent stay at a unique, artsy hotel. Great breakfast. Convenient to train and ferry port.
katja
Space for improvement
No bin in room! Dishes that was meant to be hot at breakfast were cold! Iron bars outside room rattling all night due to wind, so couldn't sleep hardly at all cause of this.
o
Clean hotel in great location. A room was small but it was plenty of space for one person. The bed was cozy. The breakfast was excellent with many choices. Definitely will stay there again!
Morgan
The Hotel AX was great - very cool rooms and helpful staff.
We didn’t find a ton to do right in the area of the hotel, but Helsinki is very walkable so it was still very easy to get around from the hotel.

We picked this Hotel because it was a good price and becuase it stood out from the rest by looking so Weird! And it did Not disappoint.
The staff were all lovely and extremely helpful. Breakfast included and they have a wonderful dinner menu as well. Very hand transport links. The tram stop is literally outside the front door and only takes about 10 minutes to get to the citt centre.
Will definitely be staying here again!

I’ve stayed at this hotel for 5 nights.
Staff was friendly and helpful.
The place was clean.
The location was super convenient, 20-min to most of the attraction points, a bit further from the airport though, luckily the transportation was super easy and affordable, as long as you leave enough time traveling to the airport, you are all set.

Staff is very helpful but better to have more people helping at the reception. Lobby and breakfast area are great! Very near to local transportation.

Solid option in Helsinki
Good room, quiet and comfortable. Great breakfast and easy to access downtown by the tram right in front of the hotel.

Cosy little rooms - comfy bed. And the hotel restaurant is AMAZING!

Excellent service every time I come. My fifth or sixth time. Lovely place, every time I have different room and the energy is different. Very comfortable bed. Healthy and quality food served for breakfast. The juice maker where could squeeze own glass of carrots juice, it really made my day. My favourite in Jelsinki

Erinomainen valinta Helsinki viikonloppuun.

Hans

Ihana paikka ja herkullinen aamiainen!

Aamiainen oli varattu take awayna klo6. Aamiainen oli mitäänsanomaton, kahvi kuitenkin hyvää.
Sisäänkirjautumisessa kesti reilut puolituntia, eteisaula täynnä ihmisiä ja kaikki henkilökunta ihmettelivät yhdellä tiskillä.
