I really loved the people that worked there and my room was very beautiful with a wonderful view and the cleaning staff were very kind and courteous and did a wonderful job every day. The air-conditioning worked great.

The room was clean, sometimes shorted on face cloths or hand towel. I stayed 2 weeks and had to ask for the sheets to be changed after 1 week.
Staff was helpful when needed.
It’s a great hotel, and very close to the mall.
Internet was not the best.
Need to get tv channels that show movies for English visitors.

Our stay at Malecon Cancun lasted 2 weeks, and unfortunately this is not a place for peaceful rest. Almost every night there were loud shows, parties, and events nearby, with music and microphone announcements continuing late into the night, making it very difficult to sleep.

The apartment had a beautiful view, and the service team was extremely responsive — most requests were handled within minutes, which we truly appreciated.

However, there were many maintenance and comfort issues: tiny ants, a dirty and uncomfortable sofa with a bad smell, poor kitchen equipment (dull knives, no spatula, scratched pans, damaged cutting boards), very few outlets, a broken wardrobe door, and a balcony door that was extremely hard to open. There was also no drying rack despite having a washing machine.

The hotel area itself feels old and poorly maintained. The infinity pool does not match the Expedia photos, with dirty glass and loose pool tiles.

Overall, the view and fast service were the main positives, but the constant noise and lack of maintenance made the stay hard to enjoy.

This property is very run down. The owners of the suites do not update the furniture. The sofas were like sitting on plywood and the dining chair cushions were sunken in. The hot water only lasted for a few minutes. We had to take cool showers. We were 4 adults. There were ants in the kitchen. There was no dish soap or sponge provided to clean the dishes. I had to call the front desk with my cell phone. I couldn’t reach anyone from the room phone when I called the numbers that were provided. We left 2 days early because we didn’t want to spend the rest of our vacation in a place like this. This property needs a major overhaul.

The Hotel is very run down, including the pool which is my opinion isn't even safe to get in (you risk cutting your feet) It smells moldy in lobby/common areas and room (we kept AC off for this reason as it just blew around moldy air) Front desk is rude and act like your bothering them from check in to check out. The towels are old and gross and good luck getting a washcloth. There is NO restaurant or bar. The outdoor areas do not look like the pictures and are not inviting at all. This is honestly the worst hotel I have probably ever stayed in. The only good thing about this hotel is Danny who runs security on floor E3 when you get on the elevator to go up. He was super friendly and helpful! I hope they pay him well!

The pictures definitely paint a better picture than what the facilities actually were. Parking seemed to be straightforward, until we were directed to different places by 3 different employees. Eventually, we asked for the employee to come and show us exactly which spot we could park in, to avoid having to circle around the car park again. Once parked, the car park did feel safe which is positive.
The room, at first, seemed fancy (we were in a 2 bedroom family suite), and the view impressive - albeit to an abandoned hotel and next to an open air karaoke bar that was blasting music until around 3 am. On closer inspection, the room was average at best. The fridge hadn't been plugged in, there was a sewing needle on one of the chairs, cutlery was dirty and had an uneven amount of things. The dining table chairs were so wobbly that I think they were held together by gum. There as a massive draught coming from closed windows. The hotel also requests a 1000MXN deposit in cash. The pool is big but the whole area has about 4 sunbeds. I am glad there was only 1 other person using the space whilst we were there. Overall, it was fine for one night but I am very glad we didn't stay longer. However it is worth if you want to be next door to a shopping centre and secure parking.

Two bed apt: Nice apt, very spacious, a little noisy but no problem.
Small problem when arrived, patio door didn't lock and there was no key in the bedroom to balcony door, but notified maintenance and within fifteen minutes door was fixed and key was located. Great service.
Super handy for Plaza Las Americas and downtown Cancun. A great stay and I would recommend it.

The suites furniture was stained all over and we did notice cockroaches but other than that it was a decent experience. It’s kind of hard to sleep at night because a bar across the street plays ridiculously loud music all hours of the night. The mall right under has great food but the hotels close proximity to local markets made it a quick cab ride to cheap street food.

NOISIEST hotel, ever! Located on a busy avenue, with a nightclub that plays music to the wee hours, a bullfighting arena with many loud events, and motorcycles gunning their engines all night long. You will definitely need earplugs.

Room was nice. Bathroom was all tile and glass. Bed was relatively comfortable. Pool is nice. Great to have a microwave and fridge in the room. Coffee maker is provided, but without any coffee.

Our stay at Suites Malecon in Cancun was one of the worst travel experiences we’ve had.

From the moment we arrived, the check-in process was disorganized and frustrating. The staff seemed uninformed about the reservation details, and communication was poor. We were given unclear instructions and had to repeatedly ask basic questions just to understand where to go and what was included.

The property itself was extremely loud. The noise level made it nearly impossible to relax or sleep. The “ambience” advertised online is completely misleading — it felt chaotic rather than comfortable. If you are looking for a peaceful or restful stay, this is not the place.

One of the key amenities listed was a hot tub, which was a major reason we booked. It did not work during our stay. There was no prior notice, no signage, and no real solution offered. That alone felt deceptive.

Overall, the listing on hotel booking sites and Travelocity does not accurately reflect the reality of this property. Several amenities were either not functioning or not as described. The experience felt misrepresented and poorly managed.

We would absolutely not recommend this place to anyone. There are far better options in Cancun that value their guests and deliver what they advertise.

It got the job done. Only 1 room key and 1 building key was inconvenient. You had to trade the key in for pool towels- couldn’t go back and forth for food and drinks. The pool was absolutely frigid. Little things would go a long way, paper towels, dish soap, more than 1 fork ect. No basics- coffee filters, salt &pepper.

The location is great. It is attached to the local shopping mall which is very large. There are a lot of choices for food and entertainment nearby. The room was enough space for our party of 2 adults and 3 children. The kitchen was enough to make our own meals if we chose to. Our children has their own bathroom and shower. It was nice to have our own bedroom with a view of the ocean and lagoon. Locating the parking was a little strange at first but easy to get the hang of. The traffic around the hotel can get busy but not terrible. The balcony of our suite had a nice view as well. Would stay again.

The staff refused to give new bath towels and responded don’t you already have some (we were here for days with no new towels). There was a black substance that was all over my sheets every day. The soap dispensers weren’t refilled when they cleaned the rooms and were not full upon arrival so we ran out day 3. The infinity pool is NOT an infinity pool it’s just a rectangular pool with dirty glass and dirty chairs. Pool towels were not always available. The building across that is a part of the view is COVERED in graffiti but that is not in the pictures they advertise. The carnival across the street was very loud and we could hear it. The shutters on the balcony didn’t close and some of the hot tub jets did not work. Not worth the money at all. You only get one room key even if you have 2 guests and you have to give your room key in order to get any pool towels so you can’t even get back to your room.

This is a terrible place and would never recommend it to anyone. The bathroom was not clean. The shower had water streaks all over the glass and the shower rod was rusty. The fridge had rust on it in numerous places inside and out and had mold on it as well. The couch was dirty looking and not comfortable. The closet door was not operable. They also charge for someone to just come and visit and talk for a couple hours even if they are not staying in the room!! Who does that?! This place is absolutely ridiculous. They do not know about customer service. Trying to get it all figured out there is no manager to talk to, to rectify the situation and going back and forth to get it fixed. It was completely unacceptable for us and they will not refund our money. I am not staying in a place that is unsatisfactory and dirty. They did not even offer another room, so we had to find another place at the last minute to stay. I should not have to be forced to stay at a place that is unsatisfactory and not clean like we expect and not get even a partial refund. I was fine to pay a \"penalty fee\" but they will not even except that and refund me the rest.

I recommend not to stay here. I have been to Cancun several times and will never recommend or stay here ever.

the hot tub was same temp as the pool. cushions on pool need new covers. There need to be kinder regards to support dogs, and less fee at end if you left a stain on the sheets, that will wash out, charge from 75 dollars usd , I complained and reduced to fifty dollars usd. was light pink drainage from a medical procedure. washes out completely. To begin with, the room was not properly cleaned, and the air conditioning emitted an extremely unpleasant musty smell. They never provided us with clean towels or extra toilet paper, even though they saw that we had children and that we were staying there for a couple of nights. The worst part was the mistreatment by the staff. We identified Lazaro, one of the security guards who yelled us and insulted us with false accusations. I will never return to this hotel, nor will I recommend it to anyone.

However, the hotel was extremely frugal with towels and toiletries. We had to call multiple times just to receive additional or basic supplies. It’s common sense that if there are two adults in the room, there should be two full sets of towels. Each time I called the front desk, I was questioned about why I needed extra, which was frustrating and unnecessary.

The only time the room was fully stocked and thoroughly cleaned was after I left a tip. While I understand tipping for exceptional service, I should not have to tip daily just to receive basic housekeeping and adequate supplies. The room was already paid for, and standard service should not be conditional.

The only thing I would suggest is to upgrade the furniture in the suits , worn outand uncomfortable. Cutlery was not acceptable. I would stay again no questions asked!
