NOISIEST hotel, ever! Located on a busy avenue, with a nightclub that plays music to the wee hours, a bullfighting arena with many loud events, and motorcycles gunning their engines all night long. You will definitely need earplugs.

Room was nice. Bathroom was all tile and glass. Bed was relatively comfortable. Pool is nice. Great to have a microwave and fridge in the room. Coffee maker is provided, but without any coffee.

Our stay at Suites Malecon in Cancun was one of the worst travel experiences we’ve had.

From the moment we arrived, the check-in process was disorganized and frustrating. The staff seemed uninformed about the reservation details, and communication was poor. We were given unclear instructions and had to repeatedly ask basic questions just to understand where to go and what was included.

The property itself was extremely loud. The noise level made it nearly impossible to relax or sleep. The “ambience” advertised online is completely misleading — it felt chaotic rather than comfortable. If you are looking for a peaceful or restful stay, this is not the place.

One of the key amenities listed was a hot tub, which was a major reason we booked. It did not work during our stay. There was no prior notice, no signage, and no real solution offered. That alone felt deceptive.

Overall, the listing on hotel booking sites and Travelocity does not accurately reflect the reality of this property. Several amenities were either not functioning or not as described. The experience felt misrepresented and poorly managed.

We would absolutely not recommend this place to anyone. There are far better options in Cancun that value their guests and deliver what they advertise.

It got the job done. Only 1 room key and 1 building key was inconvenient. You had to trade the key in for pool towels- couldn’t go back and forth for food and drinks. The pool was absolutely frigid. Little things would go a long way, paper towels, dish soap, more than 1 fork ect. No basics- coffee filters, salt &pepper.

I had an excellent experience staying in Suites Malecon Hotel. The staff treats you like a VIP guest. This hotel is very well maintained. The apartment was spotless, with super comfortable bedding, and a beautiful view. I would stay there again.

The best parts were the pool and the view from the room. The room was alright but if you want a balcony that's substtialy more $ and then you can compare to all inclusives. Worst for last is the loud music from the bar outside. Bring earplugs.

The location is great. It is attached to the local shopping mall which is very large. There are a lot of choices for food and entertainment nearby. The room was enough space for our party of 2 adults and 3 children. The kitchen was enough to make our own meals if we chose to. Our children has their own bathroom and shower. It was nice to have our own bedroom with a view of the ocean and lagoon. Locating the parking was a little strange at first but easy to get the hang of. The traffic around the hotel can get busy but not terrible. The balcony of our suite had a nice view as well. Would stay again.

The staff refused to give new bath towels and responded don’t you already have some (we were here for days with no new towels). There was a black substance that was all over my sheets every day. The soap dispensers weren’t refilled when they cleaned the rooms and were not full upon arrival so we ran out day 3. The infinity pool is NOT an infinity pool it’s just a rectangular pool with dirty glass and dirty chairs. Pool towels were not always available. The building across that is a part of the view is COVERED in graffiti but that is not in the pictures they advertise. The carnival across the street was very loud and we could hear it. The shutters on the balcony didn’t close and some of the hot tub jets did not work. Not worth the money at all. You only get one room key even if you have 2 guests and you have to give your room key in order to get any pool towels so you can’t even get back to your room.

This is a terrible place and would never recommend it to anyone. The bathroom was not clean. The shower had water streaks all over the glass and the shower rod was rusty. The fridge had rust on it in numerous places inside and out and had mold on it as well. The couch was dirty looking and not comfortable. The closet door was not operable. They also charge for someone to just come and visit and talk for a couple hours even if they are not staying in the room!! Who does that?! This place is absolutely ridiculous. They do not know about customer service. Trying to get it all figured out there is no manager to talk to, to rectify the situation and going back and forth to get it fixed. It was completely unacceptable for us and they will not refund our money. I am not staying in a place that is unsatisfactory and dirty. They did not even offer another room, so we had to find another place at the last minute to stay. I should not have to be forced to stay at a place that is unsatisfactory and not clean like we expect and not get even a partial refund. I was fine to pay a \"penalty fee\" but they will not even except that and refund me the rest.

I recommend not to stay here. I have been to Cancun several times and will never recommend or stay here ever.

the hot tub was same temp as the pool. cushions on pool need new covers. There need to be kinder regards to support dogs, and less fee at end if you left a stain on the sheets, that will wash out, charge from 75 dollars usd , I complained and reduced to fifty dollars usd. was light pink drainage from a medical procedure. washes out completely. Loved the location

To begin with, the room was not properly cleaned, and the air conditioning emitted an extremely unpleasant musty smell. They never provided us with clean towels or extra toilet paper, even though they saw that we had children and that we were staying there for a couple of nights. The worst part was the mistreatment by the staff. We identified Lazaro, one of the security guards who yelled us and insulted us with false accusations. I will never return to this hotel, nor will I recommend it to anyone.

However, the hotel was extremely frugal with towels and toiletries. We had to call multiple times just to receive additional or basic supplies. It’s common sense that if there are two adults in the room, there should be two full sets of towels. Each time I called the front desk, I was questioned about why I needed extra, which was frustrating and unnecessary.

The only time the room was fully stocked and thoroughly cleaned was after I left a tip. While I understand tipping for exceptional service, I should not have to tip daily just to receive basic housekeeping and adequate supplies. The room was already paid for, and standard service should not be conditional.

The only thing I would suggest is to upgrade the furniture in the suits , worn outand uncomfortable. Cutlery was not acceptable. I would stay again no questions asked! I’m leaving a 3-star rating — I would have given 2 stars, but I was able to take care of the issues on my own. The hotel itself was okay, but the main concern was the cleanliness of the room. The room we were given was not cleaned properly at all. The bathroom was filthy, there was urine around the toilet, the shower door was covered in hard water stains, and there was hair in the sink and on the bed. The dressers were not wiped down, and you could still see stains from previous guests’ food and drinks.

If you’re just looking for a budget-friendly place to stay and don’t mind purchasing cleaning supplies to clean the room yourself, then this place may work for you. However, overall, I was not satisfied with my stay.

We will stay at another property close by on our next visit to Cancun because of this one person. He ruined the entire 3 night stay. Loved everyone about this accommodation. The room is comfortable. The balcony is spacious with amazing views! The jacuzzi was perfect to end my night with, especially with the night time views. It was absolutely perfect and a great highlight. I love that the mall was next door! I was given an access key to quickly get into the mall. So many food options to choose at great prices. I highly recommend this one for sure!

Staff was generally friendly helpful and supportive. however the cleaning crew would agree to an alt cleaning schedule and not show up. Room upon arrival looked like it had been cleaned but hadn’t been used in a while and no new cleaning prior to arrival but everything was in moderate condition. Biggest downside was the beds were hard as ROCKs and the pillows were flat and not very supportive.

The property is nice in downtown cancun. Note it is connected to a mall and there are stores/bars/restaurants close by because this is not an all inclusive stay. there’s no bar nor restaurant within the hotel. Staff is nice and helpful. I would stay here again. Room is nice and spacious (I stayed in a king size balcony by myself).

The security guard on the Vancouver tower elevator ,does not have a computer to check your name is on the reservation, instead he will take a picture of your Passport with his personal phone, something that feels very odd and uncomfortable. I encourage management to take action regarding this issue , because this will keep tourists from coming back to your hotel.

This property is a solid choice for budget-conscious travelers, offering affordable accommodations outside of the pricey hotel zone while still providing easy access to beaches by public transportation or rental car. Its location next to a shopping mall is especially convenient, with a supermarket within walking distance where guests can even bring carts directly to their door, as well as a variety of nearby restaurants for dining options. The hotel also includes complimentary parking with security checks at every entry, creating a safe and secure environment. The staff is consistently professional, courteous, and responsive, and I was pleasantly surprised to find full-size shampoo and body wash provided in the room. However, several areas need improvement. The in-room kitchen amenities were incomplete, with chipped dishware and cookware, and one pan was rusted before being quickly replaced upon request. The oven and stove require manual ignition with matches, which is both outdated and potentially unsafe. Towel sets were also inconsistent throughout my stay, as bath mats, hand towels, and washcloths were frequently missing due to a supply shortage. Overall, this property works well for those who value location, convenience, and attentive staff, but updates to the quality and consistency of amenities would greatly enhance the guest experience.

so many food spots that are walking distance. great greeters when entering the building always felt super safe and the plaza that connects is so amazing! only bad thing that happened was that we were left with no water but it was only for a couple of hours. room was very clean and looked like the pictures. from the 13th floor i could not hear any of the music or noise from the bars and restaurants across the street. great place for what you pay for.

This place is perfect for I needed it for I was solo traveling. There were so many options because because the mall was a three minute walk so there was unlimited shopping and food. This is my first time in Mexico and I did not have to take a taxi anywhere because everything is so close even a grocery store and a Walmart express And a few restaurants.
