Overall good hotel stay. Staff very professional and courteous. Room was spacious and clean. Convenient next to bus stop for #53 bus going into downtown. Subway station ~10 min walk. The only thing holding back from a 5 star rating is the wifi is difficult to get internet in morning and evening, and the breakfast buffet is decent (could be a little better).

A night at Travellodge

The only positive thing about this property was the bus station that is right across the hotel, otherwise this property has nothing to offer.
I asked for a room with 2 twin beds when I made the reservation but for some reason I was booked a double bed!
There was no box of tissue in the room, no water bottle in the room. There's only one outlet in the room which TV was plugged into that. So I could either watch TV or charge my phone but not both at the same time! If you want to go there be aware that there's no water, hot water, tea, or coffee in the room. You can purchase coffee at the reception. Property is marked as no smoking zone but strong weed scent could be smell in the hallway just outside of our room . When we mentioned that, the reception lady said that's probably from someone's clothes!!!!
I would not recommend this property at all!

Perfect stay for someone who has an early flight from Barajas airport. It’s 10 min away from the airport and 20 min away from the tourist attractions. There are several restaurants and pharmacies in the area. There is a small but nice shopping center close by. The hotel seems a little old
But it’s clean, offers breakfast and has a 24 hour staff.

What a great surprise and hidden gem in Madrid. This hotel is very clean and simple. Great budget hotel for Madrid and centrally located- not too far from the airport or the city center. Definitely staying here again

Cheap place to stay with easy access to the city

This hotel was all we could have needed a little outside the main city but the 53 bus was right outside and got you in the city for €1.5 proper bargain. Would definitely stay here again a bar next door that did food and breakfast buffet In hotel was good for all needs.

We didnt get there until late but Fernando was very efficient and had us checked in very quickly. We hadnt eaten but he had no difficulty rustling us up a sandwich . In fact all the staff were friendly and helpful. The place itself was super clean and well maintained and was surrounded by a few bars and eateries.

Excellent staff, service, and amenities. The lobby and restaurant area are open and inviting. The 53 bus to Plaza del Sol is literally at the front door and only a15-20 minute ride. Of course, pet-friendly - which is why I stay!

Great hotel and hospitality

My family and I were treated very well. The young man in the reception was extremely helpful and polite. He spoke English too so that was a plus! I highly recommend this place. Also, parking was so easy to find around the hotel. The furthest I found parking was a 2 minute walk :)

Average hotel, cheap price you get what you ask for. Lady who checked us in deserves to work In a better place.

Half used toilet roll when we arrived, doesn't fill me with confidence about their cleaning during the covid period.

Accused of stealing a non existent tv remote, sent a long email stating the fact there was no remote. And charged for this.

Received an email stating that they have issued a refund, but that all remotes/furniture are accounted for, no apology.

If they are accounted for then they would be right to not refund?

I would not recommend this hotel. It is cheap and is ok if you are after a no frills service

The Travelodge in Ciudad Lineal far exceeded our expectations due to one person, Pablo. We have stayed in many hotels and never received hospitality like this. Bus 53 stops directly in front of hotel which takes you to center, Puerta del Sol, for €1,50. Good places to eat nearby, Cafe Magali, La Tortilla. No need to park in garage because street parking easy without complicated zones. Book directly with TravelLodge if you want free WiFi in room otherwise you only get free WiFi in lobby. Breakfast buffet is very complete, variety of breads and pastries, fresh fruit, ham, chorizo, salami, queso Machego, scrambled eggs, hot dogs, bacon(very fatty), tortilla española, mushrooms, coffee, tea, Colacao, yogurt.

Easy and pleasant stay

Stayed with a mate for two nights for the Champions League Final. Hotel is exactly what you expect from a Travelodge. It’s clean but basic. Shower was good pressure which always seems important to people! Supermarket across the road and a number of cafes and restaurants within two minutes walk. Easy access to city centre. Vanessa on the front desk was incredibly helpful and helped with everything we needed.

It is in a quite neighbourhood, away from the central tourist traps. However, the public transit makes it easy to get to the city centre.

Its a little less convenient to get to the airport by transit, but a taxi ride is only 25 Euros.

Hotel was very basic - staff were nice especially one girl who couldn't help us enough with directions etc but there was one guy when i asked for more pillows for my mother in law who told me it wasnt possible - usually they always have spares in the room or available.

Comfortable and clean but slow and expensive wifi

Hotel was good and comfortable, however the walls and door allow noise to come through due to low sound insulation. Also wifi is not fast at all. In fact, in the 21st century all hotels should (and most do, even 3 star ones) offer free, dependable, and fast wifi to their paying customers!

A great base for you to enjoy a trip to Madrid, there is a bus stop straight outside the hotel that will take you into the centre of Madrid for €1.50 or if you talk to the hotel receptionist they will loan you a Madrid travel card that allows you to get even better value by topping up in a nearby shop. The staff are very friendly we didn’t take advantage of the breakfast you can buy as we were setting off early on 2 of the 3 days we was there but it is a good option if you wish, close by there is a VIP restaurant that is cheap and cheerful, there is another one on the same stretch but didn’t seem to open everyday, there’s a supermarket also and a bar along with others across the road and a nearby BK

No Free Wifi in room!

I was surprised to find the hotel did not have free wifi in the room! Which is a real issue in today's world. The restaurant oposite the street (DDiego) is great and very well priced.
The breakfast is good enough for the hotel standard, the rooms are quite OK but it would be nice to increase the TV size.

Great Staff, Good Location.

The Staff were outstanding, unfortunately during our 7 night stay on one night a group of students took over our floor and were very noisy from 12 until 5am in the morning. Not expecting this to happen the second night a room next door continued to be noisy.

The following morning we reported it to reception our last night was completely silent the staff promised to speak to the teachers very strongly. There was also a strong smell of cigarette smoke from the students in the corridor. This experience did not spoil our experience staying at the Travelodge, we would go back again.

The restaurant did not keep to their timescale advertised on the wall, we twice missed breakfast and came back planning to eat an evening meal only to be told the restaurant was closed, this was disappointing.

family of 11 - weekend city break

A group of 11 adults stayed here for a city break / clebration weekend.
It was only a short drive from airport ( although cab fares cost a minimum of 20 euros - the fare was approx 25)
the staff were very helpful and spoke good english.
the rooms were clean / fresh and modern. The beds were comfortable.
Location - it is a little outside the city centre - but there is a bus stop directly outside the front door and for 1.5 euros you can go directly to city centre ( approx 30 mins) and the buses run untill 11:30pm

returning to the airport - we were directed to a 5-10 min walk where we could get a bus directly to the departures at the airport ( again 1.5 euros) ideal.

Convenient and clean - I would certainly consider staying here again

Our room was clean and we liked the bathroom. Bed was a bit uncomfortable. There was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. So we had to buy drinks in the cafe area nr reception, which was a bit inconvenient. Staff helped us as they cd speak English.

We stayed here for 4 nights. Very helpful and kind staff. Bus 200 from the airport drops you 10 minutes away from the Travelodge. (go over the footbridge where the bus drops you at Av.America-Arturo Soria) Hotel is very basic, modern and clean. Bus 53 stops right outside the hotel door and takes you to the city in 25 minutes. Perfect. Bus rides are all €1.50 in the city. There are a couple of restaurants around the area of the hotel. There is also a small supermarket over the road which has everything you need. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it if you are on a budget!

Very good base for sightseeing in Madrid

The Travelodge is in a quiet area outside the centre of Madrid, but easy to reach via the 53 bus. We made good use of the excellent supermarket across the road which is open very long hours.

Hotel is a 30 min bus drive from just outside the hotel ( bus 53 with a cost of €1.50). Clean rooms with parking close by. We paid for parking for 2 days and we were lucky we found free parking for the last 2 days. Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful, specially Susana. She is a wealth of information. We had a car and you can take several Day trips around Madrid. You can easily spend 5 nights in Madrid in order to see the city and surroundings.

Nice hotel, decent price

This is a pretty good hotel to stay in Spain. The location is pretty convenient. It's not in the center of downtown Spain, but there's easy access. It's a bus away from the airport and a bus away to the bull fighting stadium as well as the plaza mayor. The bus is right in front of the hotel so it's pretty nice. The hotel has a breakfast buffet in the morning that you can do. Across the street there is a grocery market as well as a coffee shop that you can buy food as well. The room are clean and comfortable. The staff are very nice and can speak English. I would come back here again.

10 minutes from the metro

If anybody is thinking about stopping at this hotel is would highly recommend it the staff there are brilliant my gfs iPhone charger lead broke so we asked at the desk if there's any shops we could go and buy one and the guy behind the counter gave us his to borrow for the whole trip and they were very helpful the rooms are what you expect at a travel lodge basic but comfortable you can get the number 53 bus outside the hotel takes you straight to the city centre bit I preferred getting the metro it's 14 euros for a 2 day pass which takes you everywhere pretty much and on the way there was a bakery which is always the best choice for breakfast in spain I will be going back to madrid thanks for having us hope this review helped

Funtional, good for stopovers

Generally ok, bit out of the way, hard to get decent bite to eat or drink. However great supermarket nearby. Restaurants open at inconvenient times or later than would like
BREAKFAST AT HOTEL acceptable and gd value, coffee alone costs 1.5 euro. But don't expect gourmet. Walking distance to metro and bus right outside.
Walls thin so can be noisy
Room temp preset at 22 so have a fleece handy if want warmer
