I got a family suite with terrance and lagoon view but our suite was on the way bottom and had no view just trees. During check in we waited outside the room for an hour having to walk back and forth for help because our keys did not work.The rooms were dated and staff were not very friendly. The food was terrible and the same thing was served every morning. Needless to say i paid more money to stay at the resort and it was awful andI will not be returning.

We traveled with two small kids (2 and 5), and everyone had a great time. The family suite was much more spacious than expected. The room service quickly set up sofa beds for us after one call, and even when there was water leaking into the room, the handyman fixed it while the kids enjoyed the beach. The kids very much enjoyed the terrace pool, the warm sea and the very fine sand. There is a shopping mall right across the street with a ferris wheel. The kids pool has multiple water slides that kids at different comfort levels and heights can enjoy. Small kids get hungry at random hours and there was cooked food and very delicious fruits available all the time. The adult pool was a bit cold and no available sunbeds at the beach. We mostly dined at the buffet which was fine, everyone's taste was satisfied. Bring your $1-$2 bills otherwise you don't get any alcohol in your drinks. The staff was very friendly and warm even when we forgot to bring money for tips. You can tell they have been working in hospitality for a long time, they take of you so well.

This resort is absolutely the cleanest one we have ever been to, and has the nicest workers all around.
My only complaint is the the lobby bar has an espresso machine but doesn’t open until 11, this really should be open at at least 7am for coffee.
We loved the beach and I loved doing Zumba everyday!!
Also the food is spectacular, anyone who doesn’t like their food has to be crazy.
They even had beet juice a few mornings and the restaurants have great food also!

We just returned from a seven day trip with 12 other family and friends. The staff was excellent in all respects. Great bar tenders, wait staff, and housekeeping. Everyone was very friendly. We had little children with us and the kids pool area was great. Big beach and it was beautiful. In order to make reservations for restaurants you need to go and stand in line before 4 pm. While that is a draw back we were able to make reservations at all the places we chose with good time slots. Closer bars to the kids pool and beach would have been nice and the water in the pool needs to be WARMER. There must be chillers because it's way to warm out during the day and the night to have a pool that COLD. Also would have preferred a balcony (there are not very many at all.) But other than that we had a wonderful time at the Park Royal Hotel.

Overall, it's clean, but the facilities feel dated. The staff are friendly, but they don't tell you how to make restaurant reservations or ask for bedding service in advance; you have to ask for answers. Besides the Italian restaurant, there aren't any good restaurants. The buffet restaurant, which is the most popular, doesn't offer much. The menu needs urgent improvement.

We had a great stay! We have 4 kids between 5 and 9, they enjoyed the kids club for a couple hours every day while we had some alone time.
Food was awesome, yummy desserts and breakfast pastries. The buffet was our favourite, lots of variation.
2 evenings a week the kids club has a party for the kids so we got to have date nights.

The family suite was good. Occasional plugged drains and the ac broke once but overall, not a big deal - life happens everywhere same as at home.

Staff are lovely, many have a decent knowledge of English which was helpful.

The drinks have fake colour and sweetener which we don’t love, but that seems to be a cultural thing.

Beach was amazing, lovely wide sandy area.
We’ll definitely be back!

The staff were very efficient with rooms and service at meals. There are three restaurants plus a buffet. The buffet was really good, there was alway a good food options and again service at the table was great! The hotel is smaller, the pool water was cold making it tough to utilize the swim up bar. We did see a couple cockroaches that appeared to be dead. The resort didn’t accommodate wheelchairs or walkers very well. There was no handicapped access to get into the pool. The food variety wasn’t always huge, but the food itself was great!

The resort is in a great location for shopping, however, we didn’t like many things about the resort itself.
Our room keeps kept deprogramming so we had to have the front desk reset them, our refrigerator in our room did not work, and the only way to book reservations at their restaurants was down. You had to use an app which “was not working” so you had to wait in line at 3:30pm to be able to make a reservation between 4-5 for the day of. So if you want to eat at one of their restaurants for dinner, you have to wait in line for at least an hour during your vacation.

Great experience overall, very clean and conveniently located across from Las Isla Mall. The family room was our favorite thing (2 bathrooms). Food was good, but could have better snack options. The process to book thematic restaurants was a letdown, the current process is to line up daily for over an hour, no thanks. Entertainment was fair, no theater for night shows. I rate it as a good experience for a regular family vacation, nothing fancy but worth the price you pay. Staff was very friendly and ready to assist with anything!

The room was huge. We had a family room with two rooms, two full beds and a pocket bed, and two bathrooms.
It could have used fans in the bathroom; the vents were there but no fan.
The food at the buffet was varied and quite good. Most of the serving staff were friendly and fun.
Trying to get reservations at the three restaurants was a learning experience. They had an app which, it turned out, didn’t work for reservations. But they didn’t tell us that. We found out through trial and error that you had to line up at 4pm and then reservations were first come first served. We had the opportunity to try one restaurant and waited an hour for small portioned mediocre food. Not worth the effort.
The entertainment was not the best. No actual theatre, so shows were outside or in the lobby, started very late for kids and were not very good. Games during the day were cute but nothing to get excited about.
It could have used a games room or some other activities besides pool and beach. They do have a gym with steam, sauna, and shower which was nice.
The beach was incredible! The pool was fun especially the swim up bar.
Definitely a relaxing nice place to stay.

The rooms were okay, but there was a smell in the washroom, and basic items weren't included, despite being requested from the front desk. The air conditioner was not as great either, and it was hot.

The rooms were okay, but there was a constant smell in the washroom, and some basic items weren’t provided even after asking the front desk several times. The air conditioner also didn’t work well, and the room was uncomfortably hot.

The worst part was the scammy “membership.” The staff pushes and practically forces you to buy an overpriced membership in exchange for a $30 discount and promises of huge savings on excursions like Chichén Itzá and other tours in Mexico. In reality, those “discounted” prices were 2–3 times more expensive than what we found elsewhere, and the membership presentation was just a useless 3–4 hour lecture.

I also want to mention that Hernan, one of the managers, was very rude and did not pay us the full amount we were promised after attending the membership lecture. Overall, I would not recommend staying here or getting involved in their membership program – it’s a waste of time, and they put a lot of pressure on you to buy it.

I gave 1 star due to receptionist staff and manager making disappointed on first day arriving and ruined all our vacation. I booked park royal beach Cancun on Expedia and Expedia app child age is 0 to 17. So my older kid is only 13 years old, so I booked with 3 adults and one child. The last minute my another son wants to go with us then no time to change our reservation on Expedia. When we arrived on hotel and we provided everyone passport and the staff told that they count over 12 years old with adult price and added the charge $149 per day in same room. I keep trying to explain that we booked Expedia with child limit was 0 to 17 years old. Manager guy told me that this is their hotel rule, so no adjustment for my kids for child fee and only extra charge for adult fee for my 13 years old kid. My question if if they can’t clearly with third party like Expedia or booking , the customer doesn’t know and booked. Then we knew about the child limit is 0 to 12 years and too late to cancel and book another more suitable price other hotel. If we didn’t pay for extra charge child with adult fee, we do not have room key and nobody care the customers to making satisfaction. It was really disappointed. I planed my trip for 5 months ago , I knew about it when we arrived to hotel and no more choice other plan. If I knew about it, I will be cancelled before my trip and booked another hotel with more reasonable price. Now ruin my entire trip and pay extra charge +$900 for 6 days stay .

If you are a youthful adult looking to have a good time, night life etc don’t come here. This is a family friendly hotel with activities mainly for kids.

location of this hotel was excellent the beach plus it’s right across from this huge luxury mall that has everything you can think off plus fine dining beautiful restaurants.

Cons
- the food is not the best this is all inclusive and I never eat at the property all three nights I went across to the restaurants to eat during the day we had excursions where we had our lunch. I was looking forward to leaving the hotel every day for activities.
- this is for families, if that’s your vibe go ahead.

The staff and the beach made this the trip the most enjoyable. We had an amazing experience at this resort mostly because of the staff. The waiters: Gustavo, Felix, Manuel and captain Miguel at the Veranda made meals something to look forward to and at the Coco pool bar: Yolanda and Arturo were on the ball keeping our drinks flowing for 10 days straight. We hugged and laughed together and said our goodbyes and we would go back just because of them. However, the beds are seriously horrible and dished that I woke up bruised on my hips and my shoulders were so sore I had to get a massage halfway through our stay. The power went out for almost 24 hours and they didn’t offer any kind of light for the evening or a discount. Tho we didn’t ask for one I feel they could’ve at least offered flashlights. The activities and dances etc were great but the roof top bar was seriously lacking. I expected an actual bar not a rooftop lobby. Would we choose this resort next time?…. No I would be willing to spend a little more for the quality of the rooms. The couches were not clean and stained, we had to use the L shaped couch in the family suite for a family of 5 and had to go request bedding for our kids which we didn’t receive 2 sheets only one for one kid. And one blanket. It’s a good thing we found a spare in the closet. It took 3 days before room service left enough bedding and we tipped the house cleaners daily. The staff are the only thing about that resort that make it’s enjoyable.

We came to Cancun to celebrate our anniversary. Carlos and Julie at the concierge guest services went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and special. The personal touches such as chocolate covered strawberries and champagne as well as a private beach cabana made our celebration unforgettable. The waiter staff were exceptional especially Felix and Unvaldo in the Veranda. All of the bartenders were awesome. The beach was beautiful. Keep in mind this is a family resort as there were a lot of kids. You could hear the road noise sometimes from our room. The food was alright. We never made it to the other restaurants as reservations were not available. The system to make reservations was not great and we were not able to experience the dining other than buffet. othallbeautifulaingadaee

I stayed at the resort for 4 nights and had a great time, it is great value and the location is fantastic. There was an unfortunate event where the staff did not understand me very well, and I got served alcohol even after mentioning that the drink should be virgin twice.

Our concierge Juan Carlos was the best part of the trip, he helped us book restaurants in the hotel, helped us call local businesses to ask for availability and was always available for us for any questions we had. If he was not there, my review would have been a 3 star and not 4.

The bathroom sink was clogged when we got there. We put in a maintenance request on the app but and nothing happened until we told Juan Carlos who expedited our request.

Food is okay at the buffet and restaurants, some things were great but most was below average. The restaurant cleanliness is bad, they never sanitize or disinfect the tables in the buffet restaurant, it’s only wiped down with a dry cloth. The cutlery is placed directly on the table and not on the cloths provided, which is not sanitary at all.

The room is very large and the bed is comfortable, AC works well and the cleaning staff are great. The shower wouldn’t always have hot water as well.

There was seaweed on the beach when we were there, but it was expected because of the time of year.

Overall, the hotel is good and budget friendly. It’s right in front of La Isla mall and the hotel zone is a nice and safe place to enjoy even at night.

The room was very clean and tidy every day when we returned. The property was small, it’s not a large resort. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food is where it lacked for me. There weren’t enough options at the buffet, to schedule a dinner reservation, it literally had to be within minutes of when the time slot opened, and if you didn’t get it within those few minutes, you were out of luck. The Mexican food isn’t what we expected for it being from Mexico. The over all resort was clean, no problems there. The lobby has no AC, so you’re dripping sweat when you’re in there for their night entertainment, which lacks. If you want a night life at your resort, this isn’t the place to stay. Their roof top bar is pretty, but not a place for dancing. It was more relaxing than a club type of atmosphere. There isn’t a 24/7 snack option either. So once the restaurants close, you’re out of luck if you want to get something to eat. The bus stop to visit local areas and restaurants is close, which makes transportation easy. The mall is literally right in front of this resort as well which is nice.

We loved the staff! They were all nice and willing to help. The cleaning staff did an amazing job with our room every day. Very detailed oriented. The food was good. The pools were very fun. My kids had a blast in the kids pool. Very kid friendly. They had events going on every day which made it very convenient if you want to stay in the hotel every day./night. The hotel was also very close to the Isla, Aquarium, and other shops. The excursions we got through the hotel were fun and picked us up right at the lobby. The room was nice and cool every night. The water pressure was also amazing. This hotel is a great hotel for families!

Nice property all inclusive First off, it's super inclusive, with ramps and wide doorways everywhere, so getting around was a breeze for everyone. The staff? Absolute rock stars-always ready to help, from grabbing a low table for dining to offering braille menus without blinking. The rooms were spacious, with grab bars in the bathroom and a roll-in shower that actually worked well. The beach area had these cool mats for wheelchair access right to the water-genuinely thoughtful. Food options were endless, and kid-friendly menus, and the vibe felt welcoming for all ages and backgrounds.

This hotel was fantastic. The server staff were 100% attentive. The cleaning crew not so much. Our room was fantastic everything was perfect expect for the use bandaid in our room. The pool was over crowded but the beaches were empty. We enjoyed the beach and got one day to swim in the ocean. The next day unfortunately due to Mother Nature seaweed took over and was not swim-able.

Staff were helpful particularly Juan Carlos a concierge who checked upon use regularly throughout the days to ensure we were comfortable and satisfied. His care and communication was encouraging/reassuring as the staff at check in were not very helpful.

The restaurants' staffs were amazing. They celebrated our birthdays with us and helped to make us feel special. There was a wide range of food to eat although we are not pork eaters, there were many other options. I also like how the have pop-up stalls outside for a taste of cultural food.

The entertainments during the days, water aerobics was good. The fire show was magnificent on Monday night. Great range of gym equipment.

Rooftop bar at night had excellent views of the surrounding areas, night time party below was fun. Beach area was really nice as well. They had lounge chairs, cabanas and beach volleyball set up on beautiful white sand. The staff were super friendly and helpful, even with limited Spanish capability.

We were a family from the USA and I enjoyed staying in a Hotel where we were the minorities. We felt like we were at someone else’s family reunion the week we were there.

We absolutely loved the energy and excitement for all the things going on.

We were not there for the pool but the beach and it was beautiful. Lots of space and room to spread out with plenty of chairs

The pool was small and crowded and people woke up early to save their spots. We didn’t care because it is not where we wanted to be.

We ate at the buffet the whole time, because we were too lazy to make reservations. We loved the buffet and were happy with the options.

We aren’t resort life people. So we weren’t there a lot. So it met our needs and was a good price for an all inclusive to be able to go on excursions and explore the area.

The staff were absolutely amazing in all aspects from checking in to housekeeping, the waiters, hostess, grounds keepers, checking out, bell hops, etc. The property was amazingly clean. Beds and pillows were so comfortable. The food was absolutely amazing. The buffet had an excellent choice every day. The 3 restaurants on the property were so good. Great selection on the menu, so much food and the presentation of food was so good and the flavor so delicious. The pool areas were very nice. I definitely would recommend this Resort 100%. Really enjoyed the family atmosphere. Staff was friendly and activity group was awesome. Milka, Angel, and Joe were so engaged with the guest. Captain Enrique was so attentive and great. My server Manuel, And Daniel the bartender were phenomenal. Love the people here.

Great location if you plan on visiting la isla which has a variety of shopping stores and restaurants! The food is not good here and you have to make reservations for all restaurants except for the buffet which does not have a good variety of food. We ate across the street every day and night. The first night we got there, most food was gone at the buffet. There is no room service at this hotel. The grounds are kept a neat and nice. I would probably not return here.

This property is at an excellent location. Right across from the mall. However, the room is old and very dirty, AC is mess up, pool is packed and dirty. Kiddie pool is super dirty with cloudy water. Public restroom was the worst with the smell of sewerage. Food and drink was not good. We spent a ton of money eating out although we paid to stay at an all inclusive resort. Very little selection at the buffet mostly vegetables. The other restaurants are hard to get in. No time slot available for reservation. Menu stay the same every day. Food served very slow. That’s why they couldnt accomodate all guests. I do like that they offered a breakfast box in case we had to go on an early excursion. I love our concierge Juan carlos. he was the only one that made our stay more enjoyable. He helped us in every way he could and check on us everyday to see if we need anything. Very good man.

Loved the vibe of the place, the hotel building was architecturally beautiful and the surrounding landscape, and swimming pools along with the dine in food places situated next to the pool and lush landscape complimented the resort. The resort has one of the best white sand and blue water beach location access with complimentary straw covered umbrellas. Late night music and dance arrangements. Food was great selectively. The staff was hardworking and polite. Just dont lose or throw away the wrist bands the actual cotton strap along with the room key otherwise they will charge you for it.

Staff was friendly and rooms were clean but there was very few pool seating available, only 1 small pool for all ages, and it was really hard to make reservations for the restaurants. Sometimes the bars/restaurants seemed understaffed and it would take a while to get food/drinks.

more than 30 min to get fries or hot dogs etc
Food was okay… (but not enough people to attend in el pescador restaurants. Took a lot of time to be attended)
