The staff spoke and comprehend very little English; I get it’s a Spanish speaking country; at least one person should be proficient. That’s my only complaint. Everything else was awesome. I liked the reusable bottles for water instead of single use. Would prefer the bottles be just for the guest as souvenirs instead of reusing for newer guests.

The hotel was overall 3stars in my opinion, the room was kept clean and there was daily maid service. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The main dinning option is the buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food was 3 out of 5, some things were very good and others not so much. The special menu table were great though, like taco station, stir fire, and tostadas etc. The beach area was great with plenty of chairs and umbrellas which was clean and wide open. For my first all-inclusive hotel I would give it 3stars. But for the price it was not a bad place, and the staff were great.

We had reserved the honeymoon room and were quite happy. The room was clean, bright and comfortable. The balcony had a gorgeous plunge pool/tub and amazing view of the SkyWheel across the street. Our personal concierge, Jenny, was fabulous. She was incredibly attentive and included some extras for our celebration.
We have been to at least 6 different resorts in Cancun and I can honestly say this was the best one so far - especially with it being the low season.
The only real downfall was that there were families on the same floor as us and when the younger kids would be playing in the halls and yelling, we could hear it in our room.

I called for maintenance on our fridge because it wasn't freezing, since either was melting all the time there was water in the floor, my 3 years old boy was walking around it and he slipped and hit his head, i called the staff twice on it and nobody gave us support. I was really disappointed since I have stayed there a few times and it was always a great experience, but this time it was just really bad bad experience.

This was our second day at this hotel resort, everything was very clean and the people work there are so friendly, the only downside was that they only had one specialty restaurant open and the buffet. Also, the bar by the pool for the adults was closed. But they do have somebody to bring you drinks. We must say that the beach area around the sun chairs wasn’t kept very clean, lot of garbage in the sand.

I believe if you like simple this is it,great location. Not a lot for kids, staff is like a card flop.. you get some great ones nice attention and some terrible ones. I believe the food was tasteless. And not a lot for kids. Everyday was the same thing. But like I said it does have a great location to walk over to the mall.. and rooms are nice.

The staff are very rude, we ask for a coffee and they deny it because is only for members, they treat you better if you leave 5 dollar o more tip, and the people the try to selling the membership if you said no thank you the treat you very disrespectful, I never will back to this hotel, we pay for our stay we do not deserve be treated like that, was thinking to become a members but after this experience of course not

Super beautiful and safe stay we were right infront of the mall! Could easily walk over to buy last minute things. Our room had a private hot tub and balcony which was beautiful (we stayed in the honeymoon suite). only thing was the staff kept knocking to ask us if we were okay? We were sleeping and woke up to them knocking & asking if we needed anything. Which in my opinion was weird & wasn't necessary.. This happened 3x. Not sure if they just wanted to see if we were there or not. Other than that the room was nice. We didn't get to try out the food but the private beach & pool were nice as well!

There was activity for all ages , we enjoyed the fresh buffet breakfast, the room were cleaned well every day and fridge stuffed ,and New towels , we enjoyed the Neon party, karaoke, fire show, Latin dance, Mexican show, free Massage, water activities , foam party, basketball, volleyball, the hard working stuff, and location across from La IslA Mall , . Thank you Juan Carlos for finding my kids AirPod Case, and the sweater, thank Janet for asking if we need anything. That’s our second visit for the resort.

This property was nice and in agreat location. This is probably the best beach in Cancun. There are 2 pools, one is adults only, and both small. They didnt seem too crowded though, i think most people are on the beach. The staff was very nice, but unlike other resorts we have been to, their English was not great. The ac was not very cold, and we did get someone to fix it with my 9th grade spanish skills. It still was not very cold but i think they may have it set at a certain temp. With 4 people in a room it was warm to sleep. The beds were very hard. The food was not great but we were not able to make a reservation at any of the restaurants so it was the buffet almost everyday. Breakfast was ok, there is an omelet station, breads, yougurts, cereals and then random dishes. For lunch and dinner, there was also a limited selection. The kid corner was hamburgers or spaghetti. I have a very picky eater. We were invited by one of the servers, Didier, to the mexican restaurant. The food and service was excellent. After being there a few days, some of the staff recognized us and took care of us. We also ventured acrossed the street to a few restaurants. Those were pricey but we saved alot on the price of the resort so we broke even.

We had a disappointing experience at this hotel. The staff at the restaurants were rude and unwelcoming, which really affected our stay. We had to wait in a very long line just to make a reservation, and even then, our family of 14 couldn’t be seated together—we were split up across different tables, which was frustrating.

The buffet employees were kind and helpful, and that was one of the few positives. However, the restaurant staff overall had poor attitudes and lacked good customer service.

At the pool, there were no waiters coming around to take drink orders, so we constantly had to go to the bar ourselves.

Overall, we expected much better service and organization for a hotel like this.

The room we got has water leaking from the ceiling where the air conditioning is situated. Although a maintenance guy came to fix it, not a day later, another side of the ceiling started leaking again so we just use the trash can to catch the dripping water. While checking in, I requested for a shower cap but the attendant says they don't have those and suggested buying one from the pharmacy across the hotel - and to our dismay there isn't even a vanity kit in our room considering this is an all-inclusive 4-star hotel. In fairness, the room has a fridge with soda/pop and beer cans free of charge and they refill it each day (when they are consumed). The phone is not even hooked up and apparently, a third party is responsible for fixing the phone up for the hotel and would only arrive on certain days to handle issues. So we have to go down the lobby each time we need something since there is no phone to use. Fortunately, a housekeeping man came by and hooked up the phone for us on our second day so all is good after awhile. Wi-fi is average and almost everyday, we have to sign in our name and room number to get connected to it.
One good thing to note is that everyday your room is getting cleaned but some days, the number of towels keep diminishing. Like on our second day, our used face towel was not replaced back - so we have to ask for them again.

Our room was awesome! Very well kept, lots of space, nice bathroom and showers! Rooms were very well cleaned each day! Downfall for the room were very hard beds. Kids pool and activities were good for young children. Advertising for events and activities were poor, didn’t often know what was going on in the resort. Buffet was not great for lunch and supper, not a lot of options. Munchies grill was a life saver for the kids! Gustavo working in the buffet was very friendly and kind! Most other times staff didn’t engage much and were not overly helpful or friendly. Great location- right across the street from a huge mall with lots to do! Beach was nice, beautiful sand.

Pros: kids water slide area, having separate restaurants, beach was amazing, having a fantastic mall (La Isla) right across the street, grounds were beautiful. Loved burger shack by pool for cheesy fries, hot dogs during the day. Starbucks across the street. Staff was very friendly. Absolutely BRING LIFE JACKETS for your kids 10 and under. Ocean was red flag the entire week we were there and with life jackets they floated back and forth. If you don’t bring them, don’t plan on looking away for a second. Piñata for kids and Mexican dance was fun.

Cons: constant selling of beach vacation, necklaces, hats, etc., having to wait in line at 3:45 to make dinner reservations, buffet. If you do go to the mall (which is worth a trip), you will get hounded to sign up for activities. No iced coffee at hotel. No room service. Rooms a little outdated but were big and we had plenty of room to spread out in 2 separate rooms.

***Buffet was good for breakfast but very average for lunch/dinner. It was fine for my kids 10 and under but for us adults, teen, we didn’t like it that much. Other 3 reservation restaurants were all very good.***

Overall was a good stay for our family of 6!

I decided to pick a higher end hotel this time thinking it would exceed my expectations however I was suprised with how bad the customer service is!! Upon arrival staff at the door to the front desk is not friendly nor welcoming. They speak to you as if you are being an inconvenience to them. After check in our room had many broken things- the phone, the shampoo and hand soap dispenser and as it began to get dark cockroaches began to come out. We killed over 10 of them. The room we were in was noisey as it was next to the elevator and a service room. They do not offer concierge service nor food room service. I rented a full size crib from Babyquip and had it delivered to hotel. The hotel refused to take to our room and we had to carry it. After requesting a new room, they moved us to a downgraded room with only 1 bathroom. We were a group of 3 kids and 3 adults so 1 bathroom was not okay. Plus this is one of the main reasons I reserved here. For an entire day of our vacation I dealt with moving rooms 2x and they kept telling us to go back to front desk at 2pm and then 3pm. Such a waisted day of my vacation having to deal with this. They finally did move us rooms to another that was like the one I reserved. The food is bland- no taste. The waiters at the buffet are not friendly. The person seating people at the entrance of the buffet is also very unfriendly. Everytime I'd ask for a high chair they said they would bring and never would. I found myself requesting it numerous

I got a family suite with terrance and lagoon view but our suite was on the way bottom and had no view just trees. During check in we waited outside the room for an hour having to walk back and forth for help because our keys did not work.The rooms were dated and staff were not very friendly. The food was terrible and the same thing was served every morning. Needless to say i paid more money to stay at the resort and it was awful andI will not be returning.

We traveled with two small kids (2 and 5), and everyone had a great time. The family suite was much more spacious than expected. The room service quickly set up sofa beds for us after one call, and even when there was water leaking into the room, the handyman fixed it while the kids enjoyed the beach. The kids very much enjoyed the terrace pool, the warm sea and the very fine sand. There is a shopping mall right across the street with a ferris wheel. The kids pool has multiple water slides that kids at different comfort levels and heights can enjoy. Small kids get hungry at random hours and there was cooked food and very delicious fruits available all the time. The adult pool was a bit cold and no available sunbeds at the beach. We mostly dined at the buffet which was fine, everyone's taste was satisfied. Bring your $1-$2 bills otherwise you don't get any alcohol in your drinks. The staff was very friendly and warm even when we forgot to bring money for tips. You can tell they have been working in hospitality for a long time, they take of you so well.

This resort is absolutely the cleanest one we have ever been to, and has the nicest workers all around.
My only complaint is the the lobby bar has an espresso machine but doesn’t open until 11, this really should be open at at least 7am for coffee.
We loved the beach and I loved doing Zumba everyday!!
Also the food is spectacular, anyone who doesn’t like their food has to be crazy.
They even had beet juice a few mornings and the restaurants have great food also!

We just returned from a seven day trip with 12 other family and friends. The staff was excellent in all respects. Great bar tenders, wait staff, and housekeeping. Everyone was very friendly. We had little children with us and the kids pool area was great. Big beach and it was beautiful. In order to make reservations for restaurants you need to go and stand in line before 4 pm. While that is a draw back we were able to make reservations at all the places we chose with good time slots. Closer bars to the kids pool and beach would have been nice and the water in the pool needs to be WARMER. There must be chillers because it's way to warm out during the day and the night to have a pool that COLD. Also would have preferred a balcony (there are not very many at all.) But other than that we had a wonderful time at the Park Royal Hotel.

Overall, it's clean, but the facilities feel dated. The staff are friendly, but they don't tell you how to make restaurant reservations or ask for bedding service in advance; you have to ask for answers. Besides the Italian restaurant, there aren't any good restaurants. The buffet restaurant, which is the most popular, doesn't offer much. The menu needs urgent improvement.

We had a great stay! We have 4 kids between 5 and 9, they enjoyed the kids club for a couple hours every day while we had some alone time.
Food was awesome, yummy desserts and breakfast pastries. The buffet was our favourite, lots of variation.
2 evenings a week the kids club has a party for the kids so we got to have date nights.

The family suite was good. Occasional plugged drains and the ac broke once but overall, not a big deal - life happens everywhere same as at home.

Staff are lovely, many have a decent knowledge of English which was helpful.

The drinks have fake colour and sweetener which we don’t love, but that seems to be a cultural thing.

Beach was amazing, lovely wide sandy area.
We’ll definitely be back!

The staff were very efficient with rooms and service at meals. There are three restaurants plus a buffet. The buffet was really good, there was alway a good food options and again service at the table was great! The hotel is smaller, the pool water was cold making it tough to utilize the swim up bar. We did see a couple cockroaches that appeared to be dead. The resort didn’t accommodate wheelchairs or walkers very well. There was no handicapped access to get into the pool. The food variety wasn’t always huge, but the food itself was great!

The resort is in a great location for shopping, however, we didn’t like many things about the resort itself.
Our room keeps kept deprogramming so we had to have the front desk reset them, our refrigerator in our room did not work, and the only way to book reservations at their restaurants was down. You had to use an app which “was not working” so you had to wait in line at 3:30pm to be able to make a reservation between 4-5 for the day of. So if you want to eat at one of their restaurants for dinner, you have to wait in line for at least an hour during your vacation.

Great experience overall, very clean and conveniently located across from Las Isla Mall. The family room was our favorite thing (2 bathrooms). Food was good, but could have better snack options. The process to book thematic restaurants was a letdown, the current process is to line up daily for over an hour, no thanks. Entertainment was fair, no theater for night shows. I rate it as a good experience for a regular family vacation, nothing fancy but worth the price you pay. Staff was very friendly and ready to assist with anything!

The room was huge. We had a family room with two rooms, two full beds and a pocket bed, and two bathrooms.
It could have used fans in the bathroom; the vents were there but no fan.
The food at the buffet was varied and quite good. Most of the serving staff were friendly and fun.
Trying to get reservations at the three restaurants was a learning experience. They had an app which, it turned out, didn’t work for reservations. But they didn’t tell us that. We found out through trial and error that you had to line up at 4pm and then reservations were first come first served. We had the opportunity to try one restaurant and waited an hour for small portioned mediocre food. Not worth the effort.
The entertainment was not the best. No actual theatre, so shows were outside or in the lobby, started very late for kids and were not very good. Games during the day were cute but nothing to get excited about.
It could have used a games room or some other activities besides pool and beach. They do have a gym with steam, sauna, and shower which was nice.
The beach was incredible! The pool was fun especially the swim up bar.
Definitely a relaxing nice place to stay.

The worst part was the scammy “membership.” The staff pushes and practically forces you to buy an overpriced membership in exchange for a $30 discount and promises of huge savings on excursions like Chichén Itzá and other tours in Mexico. In reality, those “discounted” prices were 2–3 times more expensive than what we found elsewhere, and the membership presentation was just a useless 3–4 hour lecture.

I also want to mention that Hernan, one of the managers, was very rude and did not pay us the full amount we were promised after attending the membership lecture. Overall, I would not recommend staying here or getting involved in their membership program – it’s a waste of time, and they put a lot of pressure on you to buy it.

Check in took 1 hour and half horrible service , my room was switched that was booked 7 months in advance thy said because of rain damaged but members have 1st priority, the rooms beds are horrendous extremely hard , the food was a hit or miss, over all worse hotel i have ever stayed in cancun do not go based off the pictures advertised , i guess its a cheap hotel you get what you pay for

I gave 1 star due to receptionist staff and manager making disappointed on first day arriving and ruined all our vacation. I booked park royal beach Cancun on Expedia and Expedia app child age is 0 to 17. So my older kid is only 13 years old, so I booked with 3 adults and one child. The last minute my another son wants to go with us then no time to change our reservation on Expedia. When we arrived on hotel and we provided everyone passport and the staff told that they count over 12 years old with adult price and added the charge $149 per day in same room. I keep trying to explain that we booked Expedia with child limit was 0 to 17 years old. Manager guy told me that this is their hotel rule, so no adjustment for my kids for child fee and only extra charge for adult fee for my 13 years old kid. My question if if they can’t clearly with third party like Expedia or booking , the customer doesn’t know and booked. Then we knew about the child limit is 0 to 12 years and too late to cancel and book another more suitable price other hotel. If we didn’t pay for extra charge child with adult fee, we do not have room key and nobody care the customers to making satisfaction. It was really disappointed. I planed my trip for 5 months ago , I knew about it when we arrived to hotel and no more choice other plan. If I knew about it, I will be cancelled before my trip and booked another hotel with more reasonable price. Now ruin my entire trip and pay extra charge +$900 for 6 days stay .

If you are a youthful adult looking to have a good time, night life etc don’t come here. This is a family friendly hotel with activities mainly for kids.

Pros
location of this hotel was excellent the beach plus it’s right across from this huge luxury mall that has everything you can think off plus fine dining beautiful restaurants.

Cons
- the food is not the best this is all inclusive and I never eat at the property all three nights I went across to the restaurants to eat during the day we had excursions where we had our lunch. I was looking forward to leaving the hotel every day for activities.
- this is for families, if that’s your vibe go ahead.
