I loved the room. The best part was the ocean view, breathtaking. There were 2 downfalls though. The shower was cold and the toilet was clogged. After reading the multiple signs, not throw paper in toilet, it was still clogged. And the receptionist didn't really explain much about the hotel, as far as how to get to the room, if there is an elevator or stairs, room service or other amenities in the building. Basically, if I didn't ask, I wouldn't know. But overall, I enjoyed my stay.

The room looked over the beach. Very nice view of the ocean. Nice large king bed, very comfortable. Lots of hot water in the shower. Did not deal with the hot tub. Room was large and comfortable.

Our stay was great!!! Only a few things missing..This resort is not handicapped equipped..no railings at all in one pool, no railings on stairs ro beach..Food was okay ..not really hot either time...Service was goo and bad..Sometimes they were so busy they couldnt keep up...Room was good..bed was hard..We would atay again if no other choice...Thank you to Tomas for taking great care of us with food and drinks!!!!

The room was absolutely filthy. Dirty floor, blood on sheets, peeling wall paper, very little pressure in the hot tub/bath- it took 3 hours to fill it. Not joking. Rude staff at the beach club, told us the club was closed when we arrived at 4pm. Then said it closed at 4:30, only after speaking with a manager were we told the beach club closed at 5pm and that we could sit on the bean bags until 5. Location is fantastic but that’s about it.

The check in
process was poor front desk workers rude. Once I checked in, went up to the room. Toilet seat broke, went back down to the recession desk to inform them that the toilet seat was broke. The guy say OK we’ll take care of it. They never came to fix it. Check out process poorly rude employee it was just a terrible experience. They never told me that you had to wait for the housekeeper to go upstairs to check the room before you can leave. It was just crazy. I would never stay there again and the pictures on the Internet looks good but once you see it in person its not even 2 star,

The room and cleanliness of the room was good. A nightstand was missing where it was needed. We had to use a chair from the balcony to set our phones on. Extra towels are not given. I'm sorry that I like to take extra showers and I don't want to dry myself with a wet towel. I feel like if the room is not an upgrade you are left to fend for yourself. Example one, I needed a microwave in the morning. I went to the lobbby to ask for one, they sent me to the restaurant. The restaurant didn't have a microwave, I just needed to heat up my breakfast. Because you guys don't have free breakfast and don't have a microwave in my room. Another example, when we were hanging out by the pool My husband ordered beers from a server. After 10 minutes of Nothing, my husband went to the bar to ask for beers. They told him that they didn't sell beers for us to take to the pool. Funny! yet 5 minutes later the server guy shows up with the beers. You need female lobby staff members. All guys is intimidating especially for single women staying there. The guy that gave me the room key announced my room number OUTLOUD twice. I can read the paper ypu wrote it on. That is a safety violation.

The room was alright, except for the shower—one of the sliding doors was missing, so the bathroom floor gets wet every time you shower, which can be a hazard. The pools are clean and well-maintained. I wouldn’t recommend ordering food from the pool bar. My kids ordered burgers, and the meat tasted weird—like it was going bad, and the bread was old and tough. One of my kids ended up with a stomach ache and diarrhea. Since this isn’t an all-inclusive hotel and food is expensive, I don’t think they sell much, and the food doesn’t seem fresh. My advice is to skip eating at the hotel. We stayed from Tuesday to Thursday, and Wednesday was the only full day we had there. Check-in is at 3 PM and check-out is at 12 PM, so I was looking forward to spending Wednesday at the beach. But, the beach club was closed that day because they were working on it. We didn’t get an umbrella or enjoy nature since it wasn’t open. I was also told by staff that they didn’t open because they’re short-staffed. For what I paid, I expected a place with all the amenities open.

The only significant issue is the plumbing infrastructure, particularly the toilet valves were too old or maybe there just isn’t sufficient water pressure to flush

Always wondering if it’s going to be a successful flush is a bit nerve wracking

Other than that, it’s a decent hotel with amazing views and friendly staff and an excellent location to do commercial stuff/dining in the Hotel Zone

I would really like to give 5 stars, but there is no elevator from the ground level. You need to take ramp/steps to second floor to get in to the elevator, which is tough when you have physical limitations climbing.
Other than that, we took the Ocean view room and the view was impeccable. You can see sun raise from your room balcony. Beach is right at the hotel and the pool with bar and beach view was awesome. Room was spacious for family of 4 with 2 double bed and 1 pull out couch bed. Few min walk you have 7-eleven, Phamacy, lot of restaurants and shopping center/flea market. Overall this place is awesome, staff were super nice, friendly and was very helpful and even helped booking a shuttle to and from the airport for some fees.
I would definitely recommend Ocean Dreams Cancún hotel to others.

The room is clean, but needs some work:
-The shower head was rusty and splashing everywhere. We talked to the front desk and they -got it replaced though.
-There's mold in the bathroom ceiling because of the splashing
-The bathroom vent doesn't work
-The bedside lamp was very dusty
-The curtains were somewhat dirty
That said, the bedsheets and towels looked clean.
We didn't use the kitchen.
Pros:
-Beach access and facilities. The beans bags can be a little annoying so adjust but work fine. For some reason they closed down at around 5 pm, 1.5 hours before sunset
-Infinity pools with views of the beach
-Beach view from the room, though the lagoon view was also pretty nice
-Location: nightlife is walkable. Bus station is right in front of the building and takes you to downtown.

The Good:
Great location - within walking distance of shops and restaurants. Security stationed next door made the area feel very safe. Water pressure and hot water in the shower were consistent, and the views were enjoyable. The AC worked well, our rooms were clean, and housekeeping did an excellent job of maintaining them and providing fresh towels daily.

The Bad:
Some areas of the pool had damaged tiles that were uncomfortable—and at times painful—to step on. The showers were dated and also had cracked or damaged tiles. Additionally, the room doors throughout the hotel slammed loudly due to the lack of soft-close mechanisms. This resulted in constant door slamming noises day and night, and my family—on two different floors—experienced interrupted sleep from guests simply entering and exiting their rooms.

I notified the hotel a month in advance through Expedia messenger that I needed to add an extra guest and was told there would be no additional fee. Despite this, there was no note on my reservation at check-in, and I was charged the extra cost anyway, even after showing the messages from their staff. This was disappointing and reflects poor communication and customer service.

Be honest about fees from the beginning. I had no problem paying for an extra cost since this is the norm for many hotels. I will not be returning to Ocean Dream again for their lack of transparency.

me and my family stayed here for three nights, and everyone was very nice. we liked the food, and the drinks. the hotel itself is nice it’s not super modern but it was good for us. we loved the pool and how close it was to the beach. the only thing we have complains about is our hotel room bathroom only had one door for the shower, so the water was falling everywhere. and the cleaning of the room that we asked for was not the best but that’s not something major just little things
