This all inclusive hotel exceeded my expectations- the food and restaurant offerings were great and everything we ordered was delicious. The property was spotless and even though the red seaweed was washing up at the beach the staff worked all day to keep it cleaned up so we could enjoy the ocean. The only negative I would say is there were not enough lounge chairs at the pools- people threw towels down before 8 am and there was nowhere to sit. It seems like there is enough space to add more chairs, so that would be helpful. Overall, great experience!

The property is amazing; they have two sides where you can swim in the ocean. However, on the east side, there was just a lot of trapped seaweed. Also, around the pool areas, if the wind is strong, the umbrellas can't be opened. So plan accordingly. The resort had a lot of dining options. The gym was extremely well-equipped, and the staff was amazing.

I have to say that, so far, this is the best place I have stayed in Cancun. I visit Cancun twice a year and have been doing so for the past eight years, which has given me plenty of opportunities to experience different resorts and hotels in the area.

This property truly stands out. The location is excellent, the food was outstanding, and the staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Every resort in Cancun should strive to provide this level of service and guest experience.

A very nice touch was the greeting gesture of placing a hand over the chest. It felt respectful, genuine, and welcoming, and it added to the overall atmosphere of hospitality.

The rooms were also equipped with TVs that support Netflix casting, which was incredibly convenient and made relaxing in the room even more enjoyable.

Overall, this was an outstanding experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cancun.

We just returned from an amazing stay at the Hyatt Ziva Cancun, and we are already planning our next trip. The standout feature of this resort is hands-down the incredible staff—everyone went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. A special shout-out to the team at Casa del Café; they starting our mornings off perfectly every single day with amazing service and great drinks.
While our daughter was having the absolute best time at the KidZ Club, my wife and I were able to fully unwind and enjoy a day at the Zen Spa, which was fantastic. It’s rare to find a resort that hits the perfect balance of romance and relaxation for parents while being an absolute blast for kids. We can’t wait to come again!

My family and I had an amazing stay at this resort, and I can honestly say it exceeded my expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcomed and valued. Everyone was friendly, professional, and always willing to help with a smile.

The resort itself was beautiful, clean, and well-maintained. Our room was consistently stocked, cleaned thoroughly, and made comfortable throughout our stay. It was clear that the staff takes pride in providing a great guest experience.

What truly impressed me, however, was the honesty and integrity of the team. During our trip, I accidentally left my wallet at the pool area. It contained cash, credit cards, and important personal items. I was convinced it was gone and that the rest of my vacation would be ruined. To my surprise, when I went to the front desk, my wallet had been turned in—and everything was exactly as I left it. Not a single dollar was missing.

That moment spoke volumes about the character of the staff and the culture of this resort. Finding employees you can trust is priceless, especially when traveling far from home.

Simply the best. The service is next level. Special Thank You to our butlers Monse, David, and Omar! They are amazing. Here is a breakdown of key areas:

Beaches: 5 out of 10 (not Ziva’s fault; we chose to go in May knowing the sargassum could be bad and it was).

Service: 10 out 10. Monse, David, and Omar really go the extra mile.

Food: 9 out of 10. Very high quality and good variety. We stayed away from the buffet due to all the kiddos so this rating is limited to the restaurants. Special thanks to Victor at Lorenzo’s and Alexis at Chevy’s!

Fitness: 10 out of 10. Best fitness classes we’ve ever participated in Cancun. Eduardo and Gustavo will really work you out and I am not talking aqua aerobics. I am talking HIIT, Tibata, CrossFit, and many more!

Drinks: 8 out of 10. We’re not big drinkers, so this isn’t that important to us. Aracely at the Punta Vista pool (adults only) is amazing!

Cleanliness and Comfort: 10 out of 10. The staff is super attentive. If we had the “do not disturb” sign on the door during the day, we received a courtesy call in the evening to make sure we didn’t need anything.

Overall this is one of the best resorts we’ve been to in Cancun. It is on the pricier side, but this case, you get what you pay for. When the sargassum isn’t bad, it is also 2 of the best beaches in Cancun. We’ll definitely be back!

We stayed May 18–20 for a family trip with my parents and child based on several recommendations. While check-in was delayed due to a slow system, we understood and didn't mind.
However, our experience at Tradewind restaurant was deeply frustrating. I accidentally wore a swimsuit cover-up, violating the dress code, and immediately went to our room to change. While I was gone, the rest of my family—all dressed appropriately in regular clothes—asked to sit inside. The hostess repeatedly told them they had to sit outside without any explanation. While a manager and server later apologized, the hostess walked by our table multiple times without ever acknowledging us.
On May 20, my husband’s phone was stolen. While he spoke with security, I asked a floor concierge if there was a lost-and-found. I was met with an incredibly indifferent, slow \"I can’t help you.\" Even after politely asking twice for the next step, the response and tone remained unchanged. No effort was made to assist. Conversely, I want to sincerely thank the two security staff members who worked hard to help us; we truly appreciated their kindness.
We left wondering how we offended the staff. This was a meaningful trip with parents visiting from abroad, and the treatment we received was incredibly disappointing.

We (2 adults and 2 kids) stayed for a week at Hyatt Ziva. It was incredible. The staff is very nice and attentive. It rained one of the afternoons, and the entertainment team came around to do special activities with the kids.

The restaurants are very nice. The buffet actually spans 2 huge rooms. We are vegetarians and had lots of options (beyond \"salad\" and \"bread\"). Even when the asian restaurant didnt have many vegetarian options. So they offered to have us meet with the Culinary Concierge (Santiago) earlier in the day, and he and his team planned a full menu of vegetarian options for us. That is definitely above and beyond!

I highly recommend the cabanas, we had one for two of the days. Nathan and Adis were our cabana staff and were fabulous.

We also used the spa. Caesar was excellent at recommending the best services for all four of us.

I recommend the water sports, we rented the jet skis. They had a photographer stay near us and take pictures while we in action. We ended up with EPIC shots. Well worth the extra fee.

Best of all, THE DOLPHINS!!! You can swim with the dolphins IN the resort. The kids couldn't get enough. I highly recommend.

This has been our 5th time coming here and we had really high expectations from our previous visits. You pay high prices for mediocre quality food and hit and miss service. We went to celebrate my wife’s birthday and I made sure we let them know they didn’t decorate the room like I requested paid for Turquoize towers and it felt like we had just paid for a regular room. Some staff members like Efrain and Yesenia at el Mercado made our stay amazing. Federico at Havanero and Alejandro at Moongate were really nice. They managers of the restaurant tried to make it right and where open to suggestions. The disappointment did not end there Turquize towers used to be the place to stay but everything in now extra charge then why be all inclusive. The first day we came back at 4 and our room wasn’t cleaned a manager had to be called and the next day samething room was not cleaned till 5:30. We ended going out to Madalenas to dinner.

It is an all-inclusive property. But anything not included is much more expensive than in US. I had a food poison after eating the sushi in the buffet. When I called the front desk for help I was told the on site doctor would charge 150 dollars per visit and 30 more if you want the doctor come to see you in your room. All the food and drinks I took was inside the property and I have to pay myself for their negligence on the food safety.

On the hand this property is kids friendly. They have separate play area for kids in the lobby and buffet restaurant. The kids club also have daily activities prepared for little ones.

The food quality was very disappointing and not noticeably different from what you’d find at a typical all-inclusive resort. Given that, it’s hard to justify paying over $1,000 per night when a neighboring hotel offers a similar experience for half the price.

Cabana BN was very quiet and relaxing. Short waits only for dinners, resort never felt busy and it was middle of March Break. Join the Facebook fans page to have any questions answered before you arrive. 20-25 minutes to the airport. Excellent gym facilities. Bars open to 12/1:00am at night. Lots of activities during the day for kids. Great pool options. So many food choices throughout the entire day. Adult only breakfast options in the am were a nice idea. One of the best resorts we have stayed in in Cancun area.

Absolutely the best resort in Cancun!! After staying at the Ziva resort n Punta Cana, we were excited to visit this resort in Cancun. The Hyatt Ziva brand is one of few that lives up to the hype and is consistent with their high standards of excellence!!
As soon as you pull up to the entrance, you are transported to paradise! The entire staff is so considerate, welcoming, and pleasant! The club level staff (Emmanuel, Natalia, and America) were very attentive, remember you by name, and are so happy to do whatever they can to make your vacation incredible! The entire property is so immaculate and clean! Difference is in the details to remind you around every corner that you are at a 5-star resort! From the incredible views everywhere you look, luscious landscaping, incredibly maintained facilities, and that fabulous scent everywhere!! The pools are perfectly temperate, clean, and large enough to keep it from ever feeling crowded! The spa is wonderfully luxurious! Dina’s hands are magic!!
Let’s be honest, though, it’s the food that determines if you’re getting your money’s worth…Hyatt Ziva does not disappoint!! The variety of restaurants and lounges keeps you from getting bored and is sure to pamper your pallet and satisfy your stomach!!
There is sooo much more to boast about, but you really need to experience it yourself to truly appreciate how amazing this resort truly is!! We will definitely be back soon!!

I’ve stayed at Ziva twice before, most recently in 2020, and we were so excited to return. This trip was especially meaningful because my boyfriend, now fiancé, planned his proposal here. He coordinated photography through the concierge in advance, but on the day we arrived, the photographer told him she and the entire team had been let go by new management. The resort never informed him. Had she not personally reached out, the proposal wouldn’t have happened. Thankfully, she went above and beyond to make it special despite the lack of communication.

As Expedia Gold members, we’re eligible for perks like a bottle of wine and a room upgrade if available. At check-in, we were told no upgrade was possible unless we downgraded to a dolphin-view room. The next day, after asking again, we were upgraded to club level after persisting.

I repeatedly asked staff to help make the proposal feel special with something in the room. We were told it would be done on our last full day, but nothing was arranged. At Bastille, we shared we were celebrating our engagement since they asked, yet there was no acknowledgment for us but the couples around us. Other rooms had banners and decorations, which made it more disappointing.

Food quality has declined; many dishes were overly salty, especially the Italian food truck. Bastille, Habaneros, Tradewinds, and room service were the highlights. The beach and security staff were exceptional. Overall, this trip did not meet the standard we once loved.

Stayed last february and now this february. Prices of everything has gone up (cabanas, extended checkout,etc) while we found the service, professionalism and overall food quality deteriorating (and yes i am basing this off a 5* resort, where you pay $1000,usd per night not a memories or riu). Would not stay again given the high prices and lack of food optoons and quality particularly in the buffet at night. The other sit down restaurants were okay or mediocre but nothinf to rave about.

When you pay between 700-800 dollars a night, this gets old.

Beach is nice and clean and water is fairly calm for swimming. One star off for the pool being cold- wish it was heated more so kids could enjoy it more- they only swam in the covered pool section as that one was warmer.

We have been to this resort many times and love it. While they have great food, clean rooms, and beautiful grounds, the thing that stands out the most is the service. As soon as we got there, Fernando granted us and took us to check in. He is a person and is so very welcoming. Then at the club tower, Emmanuel and the rest of the staff are wonderful. They make you feel part of the family. Then out by the pool, Judith and Carlos helped to make every day great. We’ve been to many resorts and this is by far our favorite!

The room was great! Miguel and Natasha were wonderful!! The only thing we didn't like was we wish there were more signs for people not to invade your space. We rented a cabana at the main pool and people kept coming in our area.
